Phoenix Arizona's Murkocet are happy to announce the unveiling of their new single "Strip Club Massacre" - A short but epic track for fans of Lamb of God and Parkway Drive. The track is already available on Spotify and iTunes, and is set to be released on Bandcamp on March 18th 2016. It is also the theme song of the upcoming horror film of the same name (check out the trailer at the bottom of the page).
Vocalist Richie Jano admits that the song was never intended to be taken seriously, as it "was originally written as a joke", but like most jokes there is always an end result and for Murkocet this was developing "a really powerful song with some strong hooks". Reflecting on the track, Richie believes that for "anyone who has ever been to a strip club and felt like they 'almost had her' is going to be able to relate to this song, that coupled with its intensity makes for a really fun experience."
Check the new single out below, it's worth your spare four minutes that you have.
The Director of Strip Club Massacre, Bruce Kilroy commented
"We couldn't have imagined a more perfect match for our movie than Murkocet's Strip Club Massacre. Not only do we share the same name, but the way the in-your-face vocals and guitars unleash hell is the exact way we're building the climax for our film. As the track reaches its filthiest best, you can almost feel the blood rain down on you, and that's exactly what we wanted."
Vocals: Richie Jano
Bass: Brandon Raeburn
Guitar: Nate Garrett
