Death metal legends Obituary have announced Ten Thousand Ways To Die, a special two-song single containing a pair of brand new studio tracks plus a bonus live set of twelve classics and fan favourites from the band's storied catalogue. Recorded in eleven different cities during the band's highly successful 2015 Inked In Blood world tour, the live tracks capture the incredible performances of a band that has stood atop the death metal pantheon for almost 30 years. Ten Thousand Ways To Die is sure to satisfy new and die-hard Obituary fans and will quench the blood-thirst of listeners until the band's new album drops in Spring 2017. Listen to the new single "Loathe" now via this location. Physical pre-orders for Ten Thousand Ways To Die are available at this location with digital pre-orders available here. Additionally, the band has announced a Fall European Tour, The Battle of the Bays, with support from Exodus, Prong and King Parrot. The tour kicks off October 21st in Hannover, Germany and a complete listing of dates is included below. The band commented on the live album saying: "We are very excited about the live songs that we recorded on this last US Tour. Joe Cincotta from Full Force Studio is also our live sound engineer and he had his full recording rig on the road with us so we took advantage of the opportunity and recorded the show every night. The quality was amazing so we decided to include this as part of the Ten Thousand Ways to Die release to give the fans a little Ob bonus! We selected songs from different cities so you will hear the sound difference between each song. Nothing was done to the songs after the live performance recording so it gives you the real, true, unedited "live show" sound and feeling that the fans experienced at each show." Obituary Tour Dates:

After the death of a life, these subatomic particles re-arrange themselves into new, different life forms. All existance is based on cosmic star dust on this planet. " Thy Catafalque previously revealed the artwork and track-list of 'Meta', which can both be viewed below. The cover picture has been hand painted by Bulgarian artist Agnessa Kessiakova. The Mammothfest team in Brighton have been deeply moved by the passing of Tom Searle of Architects recently. He spent his last days being cared for by the incredible people at Martlets hospice, a charity that rely on donations to continue to help those in need through their last days. Stephen Dickson, Mammothfest director commented: "Firstly we send our love and compassion to the band and their families at this difficult time. Having personally witnessed the passing of my best friend and Mammothfest business partner Rik Mosquero in 2013 after months in a hospice, we know just how tough a journey it is. It is fucking brutal so we are compelled to do something positive to put some back. The people in hospices are on another level, the care they give is so amazing so Architects and Martlets have got our complete support. We have therefore invited Martlets hospice down to have a stall for the weekend and we will be holding daily raffles so we can try to raise as much money as possible. This is where we ask everyone around the world to chip in and help the cause!" MAMMOTHFEST are asking you all, yes you bands, labels, magazines, printing companies and other - whatever it may be - if you have something that can be raffled, send it to the address below asap: MAMMOTHFEST 3B Highcroft Villas Brighton BN1 5PS Every prize will be raffled and every single penny raised will go directly to the hospice. In advance of its release, today the brutality bringers at No Clean Singing are streaming the record in its mutinous entirety issuing of the offering: "Dawn Of Demise are specialists in a style of massively bludgeoning death metal, and they begin the task of fracturing the skulls of listeners into smithereens from the very first track. 'Sadistic Gratification' is a phalanx of sledgehammer grooves mixed with rapid-fire riff and drum jabs, laced with ominous melody and voiced in a mix of barbaric growls and gruesome, guttural gurgles. The enticing punishment proceeds full-throttle from there, with the band continuing to mix pavement-cracking percussive power and fusillades of militaristic riffing. But don't be misled into thinking that the songs are clones of each other. The sinister title track, for example, is a mid-paced über-stomp threaded with poisonous tremolo riffing and insectile, darting notes. 'Deride The Wretch' moves into more overtly slam territory, while mixing piranha swarms of guitar derangement in among the atonal, spine-fracturing hammer blows, while 'The Process Of Killing' launches like a rampaging tank attack and 'Predation' is a jolting, up-tempo affair that hits like a big nail gun set to run on full auto." Read more and sear your ear holes to the sounds of The Suffering courtesy of No Clean Singing here. Appropriately titled The Suffering, the new Dawn Of Demise album bears eleven new limb-removing tracks totalling a punishing thirty-seven minutes of extreme death metal savagery engineered mixed and mastered at Antfarm Studios by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Behemoth, Aborted). Unique Leader will issue The Suffering from these Danish death metal dealers on August 26th; pre-orders are available HERE. Dawn Of Demise was forged in Silkeborg, Denmark in 2003 with a singular purpose - to play heavy, crushing death metal. Thirteen years later, that goal hasn't changed. The band differs a great deal from many of death metal's modern practitioners due in no small fact that the collective cares little about acts about speed or technicality, their focus set exclusively on heaviness, groove, good songs, and the catchy riff. Inspired by the likes of Suffocation, Pyrexia, Internal Bleeding, Abominable Putridity, Obituary, and Inveracity, the band's vicious, slam-laden output should be of little surprise. http://www.facebook.com/dawnofdemise/?fref=ts http://www.uniqueleader.com http://www.facebook.com/UniqueLeaderRecords http://www.uniqueleaderrecords.bandcamp.com Austrian melodic death metal band Relinquished signs with NRT-Records and announce new Album for 2017! Since 2004 the Multi-Metal players from Relinquished were able to establish quite a name in the german Metal-Scene and can look back on a very successful Career. The Quartet from Kufstein (Austria) first drew Attention to themselves when they released their first EP "Rehearshal Doom" in 2004, thanks to this very EP they were able to convince Bookers and Promoters for them. https://youtu.be/JZh77Y2hUso (Padded Cell Musikvideo) Their Albums "Susanna Lies in Ashes" and "Onward Anguishes" are Audio documentaries which give a perfect insight into the continuous development of their music. Even though Relinquished stay true to themselves and created their own, unique sound, these 2 Albums are different from each other, which shows that their Band is steadily developing. Their first album sounded very much like pure Death / Doom with a hint of Black Metal, Onward Anguishes on the other hand already has influences of Alternative- & progressive & Gothic Metal. https://youtu.be/sIomwvj-z-k (Sinister Dreams Video) The music videos of the band are remarkable as well, because similar to their records, they brought in a lot of appreciation from their critics and fans. Now Relinquished has signed a record deal with the German Independent-Label NRT-Records and are going to release their third studio album "Addictivities" in the next year via NRT-Records. The label has already tackled the digital re-release of Relinquished's Backing catalogue. Here's a very interesting Interview with the Band. http://www.relinquished.at https://www.facebook.com/RelinquishedOfficial/ Dutch all-female Dutch Death Metal band Sisters Of Suffocation have come to an agreement with Hammerheart Records. Sisters Of Suffocation released their debut five-song EP, "Brutal Queen", on April 22 2016 as a D.I.Y. release. The effort combines technical, old-school death metal with great hooklines, but also connects to the 2016 Death Metal scene. Founded in 2014 in Eindhoven, Sisters Of Suffocation managed very quickly to establish an amazing live reputation and got lots of invitations from venues and smaller festivals. This was noticed by Eindhoven Metal Meeting, who gave them a chance to present themselves for a bigger audience. It has always been a dream of vocalist Els Prins to start an all-female death metal band, but she didn't seem to be able find the right group of girls to make this dream reality — that is, until she met guitarist Simone van Straten. Sharing a love for extreme music, they recruited drummer Amber de Buijzer and bass player Puck Wildschut and started rehearsing. Earlier this year, Sisters Of Suffocation finally went into the studio in Antwerp with Martin Furia to record "Brutal Queen", and the first D.I.Y. pressing is already sold out. Hammerheart Records will re-issue this EP on Digi-CD (September) and on LP (November), with spiced-up artwork. The band is scheduled to perform as a support act for Legion Of The Damned this Autumn. Meanwhile Sisters Of Suffocation will work on their debut album, which is scheduled for release in the second half of 2017. The band have been locked away for the past week in a studio in Brno, Czech Republic, working on the follow up to their 2015 opus ‘Hammer Of The Witches’. The evening before embarking on their creative quest, rather vocal front man Dani Filth said the following: "As a band we are very much looking forward to our writing session in Brno. It's going to be very inspirational to just bury ourselves away in a rehearsal room in the Czech Republic and knead our ammunition of razor sharp flesh-ripping sonic torments into sinister form. Hopefully when we emerge from our musical chrysalis one week later, something beautiful will be born. The new Cradle Of Filth album will be mostly written. Then will come the long Autumnal evenings bringing the monster further to life by dressing it in lyricism. I can hardly wait!" “As a band, Cradle Of Filth have already written about fifty percent of the material towards the new album, which now requires collating and readdressing. We started writing shortly after returning from our highly successful tour of the U.S. and Canada back in March. We were 'adrenalised' by the whole reaction we received out there, having not been back to that part of the world for a fair few years. The camaraderie of playing to that many people across seven weeks really inspired us to start writing material again so soon after the release of our previous endeavour, 'Hammer Of The Witches'.” “There are certainly a few songs completed already, though these will undoubtedly be scrutinised thoroughly when we hit the rehearsal studio. It'll just be awesome to play through it all creatively in the rehearsal room.” “We can reveal that there is one song carried over from the previous album, a veritable lament entitled 'Achingly Beautiful'. We've worked some more on it, fleshing it out considerably. It is very old school Cradle Of Filth, featuring a haunting middle section full of soaring female vocals and choir very akin to 'A Gothic Romance' from the album 'Dusk... and Her Embrace'. It may not even make this album's grade in the end, as we're being extremely thorough with quality control, but it's definitely something that is being delivered to the proverbial butcher's block from the off.” Cradle Of Filth chose Brno as a location for several reasons aside from the draw of its elegance and rich architecture; drummer Marthus and second guitarist Ashok live there, plus Brno is also home to Europe's second largest Ossuary, which is essentially a medieval charnel house filled with fifty thousand skeletons, second only in size to the catacombs in Paris. Refusing to be pinned down by genre or convention, Amaranthe have consistently pursued the less travelled path, blending different sounds and styles to create a signature hybrid approach, and ‘Maximalism’ sees their collective wide-angle vision laid out with greater skill and conviction than ever before. From the locomotive power of ‘Faster’ & ‘Fury’ through to the more measured drama of ‘Limitless’ & ‘Endlessly’ (a solo tour-de-force for singer Elize Ryd), this is Amaranthe ramping up both the energy and the emotion, and generally pushing everything To The Max…. Says lead guitarist, Olof Morck:- “‘Maximalism’ is our manifesto to the world! We are genuinely thrilled with the new material, definitely our most diverse collection to date; our trademark ‘bleeding edge’ modern metal remains intact, of course, but fused with an even broader range of genres than before… there’s everything here including stadium rock, innovative pop and danceable super-hits. Expect these tunes to enter your mind on a permanent basis!” In support of ‘Maximalism’, Amaranthe embark on a headline European tour in October / November, with Sonic Syndicate & Smash Into Pieces guesting on all shows.
US & UK tour dates will be revealed shortly. www.amaranthe.se www.facebook.com/AmarantheBand twitter.com/amaranthemetal Grace Disgraced are an ambitious, ever-evolving band from Russia. Rooted in the classic sound of Death, they've been rather overlooked all along, struggling to find labels with proper distribution networks. That hasn't stopped them from going all out when it comes to presenting their music - the songs on 'Lasting Afterdeaths' are nothing short of mini-epics, with the average song length being around 7-8 minutes; moreover, each song has an individual artwork to thoroughly convey the mood and expression of the song. Mind-boggling progression and challenging technicality aside, the raw vocals of Polina add necessary brutality to the proceedings, bolstering the ever-sinuous and rhythmic nature of their music. Chuck Schuldiner would've been proud of their direction, for they don't wallow in the sound created by Death on their first two albums, but lean towards the experimental yet catchy style on their penultimate release, 'Symbolic'. Only a few bands have successfully taken the sound ahead, one being the underrated Cemetery (R.I.P.) from Germany (reissued on Memento Mori label) and the other being Grace Disgraced. Two years after the release of their seminal album, The Divination of Antiquity (2014), pioneers of contemporary UK Black Metal, Winterfylleth, return with their highly anticipated new release, The Dark Hereafter, confirmed for a September 30th release on Candlelight / Spinefarm Records. Musically, we find the band progressing their ideas, moving into uncharted territories – exploring longer, more expansive songs and building on their signature sound with both style & intent. Thematically, The Dark Hereafter casts a light on how we are now seeing the negative, long-term effects of bad policy making and global oligarchy playing out in society; how we have learnt all of these lessons before and yet ignore the wisdom of the ages. Featuring 5 brand new tracks, The Dark Hereafter finds Winterfylleth at their most musically focused and lyrical best. The band once again used the amazing production talents of Chris Fielding at Skyhammer Studio and Tim Turan at Turan Audio to make the record a reality. Says guitarist Chris Naughton: “After two years away, we are really pleased to share this new record with you all. We thought a lot about making it, what it has to say lyrically, what that means and how we progress along with that as a band approaching our 10th year of existence. In recent years, it feels like we’ve been living in an uncertain and unsettling world, and on ‘The Dark Hereafter’ we wanted to bring the issues surrounding that uncertainty to life within these new songs. They carry a lot of meaning and sentiment for us, and we hope they will also have that meaning for you. We look forward to seeing you all along the way in 2016/17!” Fans can pre-order the physical album now in a variety of bundles at http://po.st/91Ry4B or pre-order the digital record and automatically received an instant download of “Ensigns of Victory” here. |
