Slovakia's Ceremony Of Silence to release debut album "Outis" on Willowtip Records

Slovakian death/black metal duo Ceremony Of Silence will unleash its mind-bending debut album  Outis this spring on Willowtip Records.

Drummer Svjatogor comments on the album's lyrical themes:

“The main lyrical concept behind ‘Outis’ deals with a mystical path of a man—a confrontation with his innermost self and his direct experience of the ultimate perennial wisdom, while releasing all his attachments to the mundane world. Various stages of this path are concealed in a series of metaphorical visions that add another layer to the music itself.”

Decibel Magazine has launched the exclusive, worldwide premiere of "Ceremony of a Thousand Stars," the first track from Outis to be released. Listen to "Ceremony of a Thousand Stars" at this location

Willowtip Records will release Outis on CD Digipack, LP and digital formats on April 5.

The music itself can be described as death metal with a dissonant, yet atmospheric feel, powered by rapid-fire blast beasts and dizzying tremolo riffs. The lyrics deal with mysticism and death, concepts that carry over into the album’s cover art - a traditional woodblock print designed by Svjatogor.

Outis was recorded, mixed and mastered in 2017 by Miroslav Spevák at SPK Audio (Badin, Slovakia). Lyrics and album art by Svjatogor.

Guitarist Vilozof and drummer Svjatogor – both already deeply-rooted in the Slovakian underground metal scene – formed Ceremony Of Silence in 2015. The duo spent countless hours immersed in free-flowing, improvised jams and writing sessions.

Those sessions evolved from a frenzied and spirited expression of the duo’s combined energies to a more focused exploration of the shapeshifting and misted musical horizons in the distance. The result of their journey became the band’s seven-song debut album Outis.

Iceland's Örmagna stream Signal Rex debut at "Decibel" magazine's website

Icelandic black metallers Örmagna stream the entirety of their striking debut album, Örmagna, at Decibel magazine's website. Set for international release on February 1st, via Signal Rex, hearÖrmagna's Örmagna in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from the modern black metal hotbed of Iceland, Örmagna are an otherwise new entity with no other public recordings, save a self-released track on Bandcamp forecasting the shape of their Örmagna debut. What can be revealed is that Naðra vocalist Ö here also handles vocals, but let comparisons end there: Örmagna are undoubtedly a poignant new development in the increasingly rich landscape of Icelandic black metal.

3. Náladoði
4. Örmagna
5. 3 ár í dýflissu
6. Með lögum skal land brjóta
7. Dansar saurs og saurlífis

Right after the chopped & screwed intro to the album, Örmagna explodes with a heart-bursting amount of passion and emotion. Its spiritual basis is black metal, within and without, but as the album progresses - or, for that matter, each of its six central songs - Örmagna weave windingly epic screeds of melody and fury that cycle through a surprisingly vast array of textures and tropes. It pushes and pulls with patience and insistence alike, guiding the listener on a fever-dreaming journey through mysteries unknown and unknowable, but always with gritty physicality that's difficult to resist. As such,Örmagna is as modern as it is ancient...or, more accurately, its magickal storytelling is simply timeless.

Rounded out by mastering courtesy of Misþyrming's Dagur Gonzales, Örmagna's self-titled debut album is a proud 'n' powerful new chapter in Icelandic black metal. Fully read that chapter exclusively HERE, courtesy of Decibel, North America's only monthly metal magazine.

Spanish Modern Metal combo Flames At Sunrise are proud to present their brand new official video for "Dolmen", track taken from the album "Born In Embers" out via Wormholedeath.

"Her fate is in your hands."

Two ends, one election. Fate is in your hands. Flames At Sunrise presents "Dolmen", the band's most ambitious audiovisual creation to date.

"Only we can decide to light the flame of hope or plunge into the loop of darkness."

Check out the video here:- https://ww.youtube.com/watch?v=d5WVG1hPIVE&feature=youtu.be

This video clip builds a bridge between their two previous productions, "III Faces" and "Ark Flesh",
connecting the stories and creating a new universe where music finds its reflection in the image, and where only we have the power to choose how we want it to end up. How does it work? It's simple: this video has two endings and we will be able to choose the option we want. Shot by Jordi Flames, the band's guitarist, and starring the group's own members, with the collaboration of Aitor Torres, a former member, this video clip is presented as a starting point for a new world that will redefine the creative limits of Flames At Sunrise.

Danish Melodic Metalcore quartet Ivy Crown have released their video single for ‘Lonesome & Cold’. The single is the first track of their highly anticipated debut album ‘Echo’, due to be released on March 29th.
‘Lonesome an Cold’ introduces new vocalist Maria Kjær and the new, darker sound the band has come to represent since their first two singles. ‘The song is about the demons and inner struggles of an addict’, explains Ivy Crown, ‘A battle that is lonesome, cold and makes you feeling trapped within your own mind.’ Moreover, the song features a guest appearance by MØL vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf, giving the song an extra dimension.
Ivy Crown has risen from the ashes of Taras which was a well-known Danish all-female punk rock band, and after releasing two separate singles, ‘Timeout’ and ‘Enemy’ in the summer of 2017, the girls are set to release their debut album in March 2019 through Prime Collective.

Greece's Funeral Storm reveals first track from Hells Headbangers debut album; features Varathron member

Greek black metallers Funeral Storm reveal the new track "Origins of Utter Darkness." The track hails from the band's highly anticipated debut album, Arcane Mysteries, which will be released this spring via Hells Headbangers. Featuring members from Hellenic scene legends Varathron, Funeral Storm
deliver truly ancient - and truly authentic - Greek black metal in the most classic early '90s style, full of mysticism and might. Hear Funeral Storm's"Origins of Utter Darkness" in its entirety HERE at Hells Headbangers' official YouTube channel.

Funeral Storm was formed in 2001 by Wampyrion Markhor Necrowolf under the name Raven Throne as a one-man-project. The name was later changed for legal reasons, and after several changes, the moniker Funeral Storm was chosen. Lyrical themes were set early on, and are heavily inspired by occultism, legends, myths, evil, mysteries, horror, and the Cthulhu mythos.

After several lineup changes and one live show, Wampyrion decided to stop any activities concerning the band until 2012, where he released a digital split with Mortuus Sum and a six-way split on tape format with Human Serpent, Thaer Os Valael, Opus Magorum, Silent Dominion, and Varg Order a year later under his label Abyssic Black Cult Records.

Funeral Storm were active again with the addition of members of Serpent Path. In 2016, Mercyful Hell Productions released a compilation with songs that cover most of the years of Funeral Storm that were never actually released. In the meantime, Wampyrion decided to change the sound of the band, now fully inspired by '90s Greek black metal.

Nick Christogiannis of Deviser and Necroabyssious of Varathron/Katavasia/Zaratus then joined as full-time members. With this lineup, Funeral Storm released a split in early 2017 with Celestial Rite entitled Funeral Rite with Eskarth of Agatusperforming acoustic guitars and a solo on the song "Martyr Of The Lake." Reaping international acclaim, Funeral Rite was released on 12" vinyl and CD formats by Iron Bonehead, while Mercyful Hell released the tape format.

Since signing with Hells Headbangers, Funeral Storm added Arcania (Aherusia) on guitars while Christogiannis departed, and the band promptly set to work on their first full-length record. Ever aptly titled Arcane Mysteries, the album proudly and poignantly delivers 43 minutes of atmospheric tartaric black metal in the vein of the old Hellenic scene, inspired by sorcery, magic, and myths. Indeed, Funeral Storm are ancient souls, eschewing the nowadays trends of dissonant non-songwriting and cavernous obfuscation in favour of traditionally epic and dynamic songcraft, reverent to the old Hellenic gods whilst forging terrain all their own, all wrapped in a robust production that powerfully captures the trio's overt physicality - and indeed, THAT classic pulse.

Arcane Mysteries is truly a record that brims with a timeless atmosphere - truly, one of arcane mysteries - and safely avoids lazy "throwback status" due to the inclusion of scene veteran Necroabyssious on vocals and the era-authentic, ever-mystical synths, handled by both Wampyrion and Arcania. In short, it's an album more than worthy of the legendary early '90s wave of Greek black metal.

To further underline those classic ties, Arcane Mysteries features two special guests: Eskarth of fellow Hells Headbangerslabelmates Agatus performed the solo and acoustic guitars on "Martyr of the Lake," and The Magus of Necromantia / Prinicipality Of Hell composed, recorded, mixed, and mastered "Wandering Through The Abyss." Completed by awe-inspiring cover artwork courtesy of Markus Vesper (Denial of God, Manilla Road, Attic), Funeral Storm triumphantly prove that the past is alive...in fact, more than ever!

Release date, cover art, tracklisting, and preorder info to be revealed shortly. In the meantime, hear the new track "Origins of Utter Darkness" HERE at Hells Headbangers' official YouTube channel.

The combination of Alessia Scolletti’s crystalline voice, the strong timbre of Michele Guaitoli and the rough vocals of mastermind and guitarist Marco Pastorino, makes Temperance stand out completely.

Indonesian Brutal Death Metallers Fetal Bleeding unleash their new album "The Quest Of Immortality" through Brute! Productions

26/1/2019

Picture

More than five years since the release of their debut EP, Basa, Basi, Busuk, Indonesia’s Fetal Bleeding have returned with their first full length album; a collection of songs steeped in darkness and  drenched in direst cruelty. The Quest Of Immortality summons up images of secret cults, rituals of blood and flesh and ancient knowledge both arcane and obscene, all bound within the framework of some of the most chilling, inhuman brutal death metal imaginable.

From the seething, slithering riff that heralds the arrival of The Quest Of Immortality’s opening track, ‘…As Torture Become Lust’, the listener is wrenched from reality and flung headlong into a shadow world of inconceivable horrors. The utterly inhuman vocals of Yogga Beges speak from within the maelstrom, the voice of a devil from beyond the brink of madness, while the blast beats rain down like a torrent of fire. While there are countless bands that have the ability to impress with their speed, power and savagery, there are few who combine that sonic attack with an atmosphere that chills the blood. Fetal Bleeding will haunt your dreams with their visions of the forbidden and the insidious sense of evil that pervades their caustic creations.

Picture

An array of renowned talent from the Indonesian underground has been summoned to contribute their hellish talents to The Quest Of Immortality and the unmistakable sounds of Syn (Undead Daredevil), Panyawat (Intricated), Aditya (Gerogot, Raw, Brain Damage) and Ridho (Gubouckgor Rec, Infitar, Choria) can be heard on horrific hymns like ‘The Useless One Bleeds’. Available now through the depraved machinations of the endlessly evil Brute! Productions, Fetal Bleeding’s The Quest Of Immortality awaits discovery by the brave; those to whom the darkness calls, those who walk with monsters and to whom the conventions of society mean nothing.

Portuguese Death Metallers Okkultist to release 'Reinventing Evil' on 15th March; premiere new single

2019 will see Portuguese Death Metal beasts Okkultist unleash 'Reinventing Evil'! The up & coming band, who is the first one that inked a worldwide deal ever with Moonspell Fernando Ribeiro's new label Alma Mater Records, is set to release their brutal debut of an album Reinventing Evilon March, 15th 2019.

To kick off the new year in evil style, Okkultist are sharing the album opening track, which has just been premiered with NO CLEAN SINGING, now available on Bandcamp! Says vocalist and demoness Beatriz Mariano:-

“We chose to release “Reinventing Evil” because it’s a punch in the face — it’s a small taste of the pain we have ready to bring you!”

Taste the evil Okkultist is unleashing upon you right HERE!

Reinventing Evil was produced by Pedro Paixão (Moonspell) and the band, tracked at the Poison Apple Studios in Lisbon and amazingly mixed by Tue Madsen (Meshuggah, Moonspell, The Haunted). With a total of 8 rabid and brutal songs, the band's debut will see the light of the day via Moonspell's Fernando Ribeiro Alma Mater Records in two digipack editions. One of them will come with a limited, different artwork and it will contain a Bathory cover song 'Satan Is My Master'.

4. Sign of the Ripper
5. I am the Beast
6. Grave Digger
7. Plasmodium Nocturnus
8. Rise and Reign
9. Satan Is My Master (Bathory Cover / CD Bonus Track)

Alma Mater Records boss and Moonspell vocalist Fernando Ribeiro comments:-

“Okkultist is the kind of band the Portuguese scene needs: talented, young, focused and just fucking brutal. Portuguese Death Metal has never sounded so exciting in my ears so we can’t wait to release this beast upon you and help you to reinvent evil together with this amazing Portuguese talent."

Okkultist formed back in late 2015. Two years and memorable live shows later, their debut EP 'Eye Of The Beholder' was released by the band independently, but caught up and spread all around Europe and overseas – selling out every single printed copy.

Even at this early stage, Okkultist already had the honour to curse stages such as at Mosher Fest or Female Growler United Front in Portugal and as an opening act for legendary names such as Entombed AD. Inspired by the likes of Master, Abomination, early Morbid Angel, Death or Dismember, Okkultist pick up where impure 90's Death Metal left. Better be prepared for some infernal vibes and a deadly raw, new Death Metal brand this upcoming March, when the band will drop their new album!
