Black Lion Records are excited to welcome their first ever Finnish band to the label's roster.
Following the signing, the label had this to say:-
"Re-armed reached out to us early 2019 and by then it became quite clear that this was indeed a band that had gone behind our radar. While Re-armed's music influences can strongly be traced to it's root influences from Arch Enemy and At The Gates, upon hearing their music video "Built To Last" we were instantly impressed and since the start of 2019, the band has been in the studio recording their new album which is set for a worldwide release in the start of summer 2020. We are always looking to expand our horizons and Finland has certainly been a hotspot for metal in the past few years, and an area we truly wanted to reach into so we are very excited to work with Re.armed on their new record."
Re-Armed have toured heavily across the European and Asian soil ever since 2002 and have toured and supported bands such as Suffocation, Origin, Cryptopsy, Cattle Decapitation & Decrepit Birth to name a few and are already getting ready for a busy 2020.
The new, 4th album comes out worldwide in June 2020. Tour dates will lead and follow the release.
Below a statement from the band:-
"Throughout the spring and beginning of winter we have been producing and recording new songs for forthcoming yet untitled album. This album will be more dramatic, powerful, and melodic as we promised earlier. In the end of 2018, the single "Built to Last" gave to audience hint about what has been cooking in our stew lately. We continued to discover more about these ingredients. Upcoming release will definitely open new doors for the band. And about the record deal, Olivers attitude, professionalism and genuine love for music made an instant impact on us. We are convinced that this alliance will lead us to even greater achievements in the future."

Finland's Children Of Bodom release official animated video for the title track of their latest album, "Hexed"
Finland's melodic death superstars Children of Bodom have released an official animated video for the title track of their latest album, Hexed. The RMIT University in Australia spent the last 15 weeks working on the video, with producers Aaron McLoughlin and Simon Norton spending around 3000 working hours with their team to create the video. Check it out here: youtu.be/oDeH1XJ9Tzo
"As always, we like to come up with something that suits what the band is all about, so we drew inspiration from the song lyrics as well as the monochromatic imagery found in Children of Bodom’s videos and album art. We decided a black and white horror film would be cool - set on a lake, of course! And we had to include a Roy cameo appearance, obviously! Although Hexed is a fast track, it’s also particularly measured in the way it plays out over the 5-minute duration, so part of the fun was crafting a cinematic narrative that flows with the amazing technical precision of the music. The animation students at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia are some of the most talented rising stars in the world, and I think they’ve done a terrific job on this project. Animating metal videos is such a fun thing to do at university, and the team felt very honoured creating this film for Children of Bodom."
Bassist Henkka adds:
“It’s such a cool thing to have a video of one my favourite tracks of the album. And the fact it’s made by Aaron and his 25 students in Australia is even cooler. The black and white calm mood suits perfectly to this not-so-calm song. The lake and it’s reflection makes a perfect ending for it."

Canadian Melodeath outfit Uriel sign with Wormholedeath and announce "Multiverse" album release date
Canadian Melodic Death Metallers Uriel are glad to announce that they have signed a deal with WormHoleDeath for the release of their album "Multiverse", that will be out on 25/10/2019 via Wormholedeath / Goodfellas.
Uriel began as a studio project in 2008. After some time, the band grew to a three piece and began playing live shows. The soundscape evolved in 2009, notably with Serenity in Departure. The evolution continued with the inclusion of powerful female vocals, featuring said vocals in 2012 with the release of From Ashes to Phoenix. Uriel’s sound and song writing process became more axed towards classical influences, which led to the inclusion of a dedicated cellist and violinist. The 2016 album, Remains of Innocence, featured all said elements, fusing the delicacy of classical music with the influence of melodic death metal. Uriel has a unique and established style, distinct from any other. The band continued its musical evolution in 2018. With the assistance of The Grid studios, the band recorded their latest record, Multiverse, due for release this fall .

The band in collaboration with Inside Brain Music, are pleased to present their GERMAN & ITALIAN TOUR 2019 supporting the German Rock'n'Metal band Grimgod!
Extinction is a thrash death metal band formed in 1995 in Puglia (Italy) by Massimo Muci (vocals), Danilo Bonuso (guitar), Daniele Greco (guitar), Giuseppe de Benedittis (bass) and Tonio Latino (drums). In November 1996 the band released their demo "Progress Regress" including 5 tracks, recorded at the Pure Rock Studios in Brindisi. Their style is characterized by a balanced mix of death and thrash metal, influenced by bands like Pantera, Sepultura, Metallica, Pestilence, Morbid Angel etc. Subsequent reviews of music magazines are more than positive. Especially Metal Hammer Italy praises their music for the mix of styles and declares them as "Blind Guardian of death metal" referring to the song "Evil's Revenge".
When singer Massimo Muci left the band in 1997, guitarist and vocalist Danilo decided to move to Turin and in consequence of that, the band split up. Seventeen years later in 2014, Danilo reformed the band in Turin with Alice Darkpeace (vocals), Jacopo Farcito (bass) and Alberto Scrivano (drums). The new Extinction debuts at Rocking Universe Metal Fest in September 2014, followed by numerous concerts, with international bands like Necrodeath, Game Over, Materia, Onslaught, Mindwars, Node etc. After Jacopo (bass) had left the band in February 2015, Marco Vicenza became the new bassist in march of the same year. During this period Luca Maggi accompanied the band on second guitar for a short time. In May 2015 - almost 20 years after the demo Progress Regress - Extinction released a new single called "Conspirators".
In the same year Marco "Hellfire" Campanati joins the band as permanent second guitarist, following Luca, who left the band in December. In April 2016, vocalist Alice Darkpeace appears on the TV show "Italia's Got Talent", demonstrating her growling skills. This event was quite important for the band, in as much as it helped them gain popularity. Besides, growling was never performed on Italian television before. On 30 April 2017, the band released the debut album "The Monarch Slaves" with the German label Unholy Fire Records; after the same titled promo video! The album is available in CD, limited CD digipak, limited tape edition and digital download! In August 2018 the band crosses the national borders playing in Hanover (Germany) and in Serbia at the Rock Village Festival in Banatski Sokolac.
In October 2018, Alice leaves the band due to disagreements and at its place comes Filippo Collaro. Between April and May 2019, the band recorded the new album in Davide Billia's Mk2 Studio (Anthropofagus, Beheaded, etc.). In June 2019 bassist Marco will also be replaced by Lorenzo Catolla, also by Silenti Luna. With the new line-up, in July of the same year, the band signs the contract with the renowned Italian label Revalve Records.
