Czech avantgarde doom metal band Et Moriemur are trying to do things differently on each album and this time it's no different. Earlier it was symphonic/orchestral doom metal influenced by the Greek culture, and this time around it's completely Japanese-themed with a host of guest musicians playing various instruments including some folk ones. They've blended such influences beautifully into their sound and none of it seems forced. It's just seamlessly integrated and the album flows uninterruptedly too. While it's recommended that you listen to it from start to finish, you can get a taste of their music by checking out their music on Bandcamp and YouTube. Et Moriemur set new standards for themselves with their previous Greek-themed album 'Epigrammata' which borrowed elements of death and black metal and flawlessly integrated them in their unique brand of atmospheric doom metal. This time they're exploring Japanese themes and have frankly outdone themselves. It's rare to come across bands that are constantly reinventing themselves without losing their core sound and Et Moriemur are doing just that and taking the sound ahead in ways previously unimagined. An album to be heard from start to finish, it makes you experience various moods and sounds, having employed the services of several musicians in addition to their own, playing traditional instruments such as shakuhachi and others like cello, harp, violin and more. For the next quarter of an hour, you're transported to a different land, imagining a different era, and you remain mesmerized by the seamlessly transitioning music with plenty of variations and fascinating new elements. The blend of genres is immaculate and none of it feels even remotely forced or out of place. Truly, Et Moriemur may have created a new sound which they've only perfected over here. They remain in a league of their own, in competition with only themselves. Et Moriemur line up:

American blackened death crew Goreskincoffin unveil lyric video for "Elegy For Mankind's Failings"28/12/2021 Californian blackened death lords Goreskincoffin have launched a lyric video for, "Elegy for Mankind's Failings." The song is the newest single off the band's forthcoming third full-length album, Release My Suffering. Stream the lyric video for "Elegy for Mankind's Failings" now at youtu.be/dCCcrL3JoaY. "Release My Suffering" comes following a brutal year of writing, rehearsing, recording and shows, and features seven furious tracks of blackened death/grind. The album will be out on January 14 via Funeral Goat Records. Pre-order and listen to tracks “Plague Father” and “Wrath and Ruin” at this location. Keyboards and Orchestra performed by Lou Kelley. Release My Suffering was recorded and mixed by Hunter Peterson at Desidarius Recordings. Album artwork by Chadwick St. John. Originally formed in 2011 from the ashes of other local death metal groups, Goreskincoffin started as a three-piece featuring Dean Rice (drums), Dustin Stark (guitar / vocals), and Justice Reckis (bass). The trio wrote and released their debut album, Corpse Filled Caskets, that same year. The album drew influences from black and death metal bands, both classic and modern. Following a six-year hiatus, Goreskincoffin returned with the addition of Cody Winter on vocals. The band released their second full-length, Shattered Conceptions Ov Reality, in 2017. Guitarist Randy Hoofard joined the fold shortly thereafter. In 2018, the band released the Cursed Paths EP. Goreskincoffin then amicably parted ways with Hoofard, a move that saw Reckis pick up guitar duties and the addition of new bassist Edgar Castro-Salazar. The newly invigorated line up released the “Wrath and Ruin” single in 2021 before going to work on their newest burnt offering, Release My Suffering.
Art Gates Records are proud to introduce thrash metal act Grave Noise to the Art Gates Records family of artists. This 4-piece combo was formed back in 2013 and includes members from the cities of Burgos & Soria. Their sound combines influences from the most raw and powerfully modern sounds of thrash metal. Based on international standards, these metalheads aim to create new anthems for the future of the genre. The band's new material features an evolution of their sound, taking the band members' skills several steps beyond. The upcoming full length was produced by Alberto Marín (Hamlet, Def con Dos, Mónica Naranjo, Ankhara...), and mixed and mastered by Alex Cappa (Hamlet, Vita Imana, Bones of Minerva...) at Metropol Studios. After touring in 2019 all over Spain presenting their first album “From The Cradle To The Road”; also performing at shows such as WOA Metal Battle & sharing stages with well known acts such as Crisix, Lujuria, Rosendo, Frenzy, Evil Killer and many others, the band is ready to release their brand new opus via Art Gates Records. Hailing from Poland, transgressive dark rock / metal band Asgaard are glad to announce the signing with Wormholedeath for their new album "What if…" due for release in 2022. Signing statement: "Ladies and gents, we’re proud to announce that we’ve teamed up with Szataniec and Wormholedeath for the release of Asgaard’s newest, 7th full-length record titled “What if…”. While Szataniec is taking care of the album’s physical formats, Wormholdeath will be marketing the album worldwide and will handle its digital release via The Orchard Inc. / Sony Music Ent. We are so much looking forward to working with both labels on the release of "What if..." album. It's been a really loooong, bumpy road not only for all of us in the band but also for all the people engaged into this project in this way or another, and despite the fact that we've been forced to keep on postponing many issues related with this new record, we are truly happy to be able to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. We can't wait to bring it up to you!" Carlo / WHD statement: “I am proud to be able to work with such a cult band with long term experience and career. Since the release of their beautiful album "Stairs to nowhere" the band has been working hard for their epic comeback. Here we are with this new masterpiece ready for release via Wormholedeath (Digital) and available in other formats thanx to our collegues at Szataniec Records. Publishing will be handled by Wormholedeath via Warner Chappell Music as usual. We can't wait to spread their music all over the world working with this amazing team." Metamorphosis, constant evolution and stylistic unpredictability – amalgamation of these three phrases has become signature quality of Asgaard’s body of work. The band exists and has been present in the scene for 25 years. Due to bold and widely controversial records the band is often considered as one of the most visionary in Poland’s entire gothic / rock / metal genre. “What if…” is the brand new, seventh album in the band’s career and a follow-up to a critically acclaimed “Stairs To Nowhere”. This time around, Asgaard reinvents its formula and the album is the first ever of their releases to feature more rock-oriented sound, rather that straight-up metal one. “What if…” is the very first record in band’s discography with songs composed in more traditional way, full of beautiful melodies and grand, epic choruses. Band enters another novel territory – two out of eight songs on the album are sung in Polish, which language native to the members of the group. Additionally, Asgaard included stylistic features of the broad genre of electronic music in the intricately structured new songs. New album still retains characteristic sense of romance and nostalgia, present in the band’s outputs since the beginning. Such emotional load brings to mind bands like Katatonia, Amorphis, Moonspell, Opeth, Anathema. “What if…” is a triumphant return of Poland’s rock / metal avant-garde.
www.facebook.com/AsgaardOfficial Photo Credit - Derek Carr of Visions in Pixels Photography Canadian thrashers Hyperia, formerly of Calgary, AB, now residing in Vancouver, BC announce they will be self-releasing their new album “Silhouettes of Horror” this coming March 2022. The full-length follows their 2020's “Insanitorium” unleashed via Sliptrick Records and their 2019 EP “Fish Creek Frenzy”. “Silhouettes of Horror” sees guitarist Colin Ryley behind the soundboard producing and mixing the record with mastering done by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland (Children of Bodom, Nightwish, Battle Beast). Album artwork was created by Andrei Bouzikov (Vektor, Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust). Collin Ryley says:- “We think that we have polished our sound and pushed ourselves to create what we believe is a newly refined vision. This record has pushed the whole band to their limits, and the songwriting, performance, and the production value is a huge step up. We feel the fans will enjoy this new album even more than our first full-length." Energetic, melodic, fast, psychotic, and dynamic are the elements that make “Silhouettes of Horror” that old and new fans of thrash, NWOBHM, and power metal will appreciate. The band even included a cover hommage of Abba's “Gimme Gimme Gimme”. For the recording of “Silhouettes of Horror”, Hyperia also recruited good friend and session drummer Gord Alexander (Tessitura, Tides of Kharon, Immunize). Most of the lyrical themes on “Silhouettes of Horror” revolve around inhumane government experiments, sleep disorders, and night terrors. In lead up to the release of “Silhouettes of Horror”, Hyperia is sharing their new music video for the first single “Operation Midnight”, a hard-hitting track with melodic vocal lines and sporadic guitar riffs. It's a catchy and memorable song that portrays what the whole new album is about. The band comments:- “Operation Midnight was a song that we wanted to be fast, punchy, and hard-hitting the whole way through. It is accompanied by a music video filmed by City Zero Films that was shot a few hours northeast of Vancouver in a secluded foresty area. The song is a good song to set the pace of the album, lyrically and musically. The lyrics focus around nightmarish hallucinations and terrors and seeing black hooded figures at the side of your bed. It has melodic and heavy parts that showcase the diversity of our new album.”
“Silhouettes of Horror” is due out on March 18, 2022 and is recommended for fans of Exmortus, Arch Enemy, Unleash the Archers, Havok. Album Recording Credits: • All songs performed by: Hyperia • All songs written by: Colin Ryley, Marlee Ryley, David Kupisz • Produced by: Colin Ryley • Mixed by: Colin Ryley • Mastered by: Mika Jussila • Album Artwork by: Andrei Bouzikov • Member of SOCAN • Canadian Content (MAPL) Album Recording Band Line Up:

Rockshots Records is proud to announce their signing of cosmic metallers Vanderlust (ft. members of S91, Dreal) for the release of their self-titled debut. Birthed to travel the cosmos, Italy's Vanderlust is a power-heavy metal band with prog-thrash influences that tells tales of space travels, astronomy, space engineering, and sci-fi adventures. The band comments:- "We tried to mix a prog-thrashy riffing in the roots of Megadeth, Vektor and Tool with epic vocal parts like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Angra, and Lione’s Rhapsody. We also put sci-fi elements in our songs, so you can hear also something from Voivod." This debut recording is like a stellar system with 12 different planets. The star at the centre of the system represents the heavy-power metal around all the songs revolving. Despite all the tracks being irradiated by the same light, they are all different from each other. Vanderlust has fast thrash, slow and doom, shiny and brilliant to grunge, and darker songs. Like planets, which appear like simple small bright spots, but in reality, are all big worlds, Vanderlust's songs are more complex than they sound at first listen. In fact, you can easily sing along to some of the choruses even if there are complex riffs in the background. Vanderlust is particularly proud of the participation of opera singer Letizia Cappellini who does vocals on select tracks and helps the band further expand the vocal register of their compositions. The band also adds the presence of synths and electronic elements to the compositions to set the sci-fi mood of the lyrics. The band says that... "The main goal was to start a metal band that could be an inspiration for young people, a band that could tell them stories from the future when mankind will have overcome its limits and the solar system will be an entire human colony. This idea came to mind to founding members Francesco and Santo when they began their search for other members that could fit. Drummer Giacomo Mezzetti joined the space odyssey right before the covid-19 outbreak. Vocalist Riccardo Morello joined the band during the first lockdown in Italy, so the first song was entirely composed online, using videocalls and file sharing." Now, the band unveils their first single "Scavengers of Kuiper Belt", which they explain its story in further detail: "In the Vanderlust Universe, The Scavengers are the employees of a large corporation that operates on many planets and colonies throughout the solar system. Their story begins in the 21st century when their main task was to capture all the space debris in Earth's orbit. Due to the particular business organization and the bizarre recruiting rules, the company turned into a sort of tribe during the centuries. The importance of the Scavengers got bigger and bigger and, at the time of our story, they perform several important tasks, including fathoming the Kuiper belt in search of Ices (large orbiting frozen objects from which extract energy and precious materials). The main characters of our story are two scavengers during a typical working day. To alleviate the boredom of the day they decide to start a competition to find the most profitable Ice in the shortest time. But suddenly, here's something they've never seen... A really strange object, a very precious object... very precious... can I see it? Today it's my birthday... maybe you should give it to me... Do you feel like you've heard this story before? Yup! It's the story of Smeagol and Deagol ... transposed into space!" "Scavengers Of Kuiper Belt" is a speed-power metal song in the vein of Blind Guardian style, fast and powerful. It has some technical sections (especially in the midsection). The singing is heavier and mighty, along with some thrashy riffs, a soft-fusion bridge, and a prog-thrash ending. Listen to "Scavengers of Kuiper Belt" at the following links:
For their live aspect, Vanderlust is currently working hard to create a thrilling spectacle, giving all their energy to the fans and letting them join them on the space journey. Vanderlust is recommended for fans of Iron Maiden, Angra, Tool, Helloween, and Vektor. Sneakout Records & Burning Minds Music Group are glad to announce the signing of Italian hair metallers, Reckless, for the release of their new album "T.M.T.T.80". Reckless were born in Vicenza in 2005 with the aim of being a tribute to the most famous glam / sleaze acts of the 80's, playing covers of Cinderella, Mötley Crüe, W.A.S.P., Britny Fox and Poison. Thanks to a great stage presence, the help of two female dancers and some spectacular scenic effects, the band immediately gains popularity in the local circuit. A.T. Rooster, engaged in the double role of singer and bassist, is part of this first incarnation of the band. At this time, Reckless record a demo with some covers, and continue the live activity by sharing the stage with artists such as Steeve Jaimz (Tigertailz), Vains Of Jenna, BlackRain, L.A. Guns, Sister and FrenchKiss. In 2010 guitarist Dany Rockett and drummer Mikki Mixx officially join the group. The first self-titled album, featuring 7 original songs, sees the light of the day in the same year. Despite several line-up changes, in May 2015 the new work "Too Glam To Die" is released, giving the band the opportunity to receive positive feedback from specialized press and fans. In 2017 guitarist Alex Jawbone and bassist Jack Chevy are officially on board: this move allows A.T. Rooster to focus exclusively on the vocals. After several years spent playing on different stages and composing new songs, in 2021 Reckless has a stable and well-established line-up, a brand new record and a contract signed with Sneakout Records / Burning Minds Music Group. More info about "T.M.T.T.80" official release date, final track list and cover artwork will be revealed in the forthcoming weeks.
