Australian Metalcore horde Polaris unveils first album trailer and launches all album pre-orders17/12/2019 Sydney ascending metalcore outfit Polaris recently announced their highly anticipated sophomore album The Death Of Me, due to be released on 21st February 2020 via SharpTone Records. Today the five-piece are pleased to reveal their first album trailer, and also launch all album pre-orders! You can view the trailer here, in which the band discuss their forthcoming album: https://youtu.be/hVMnrs9SkuI All pre-orders for The Death Of Me are now available here: https://www.shrptn.co/polaris When it came time to make their new album, The Death Of Me, the Sydney outfit knew they had a tall order on their hands. Drummer Daniel Furnari states:- “We wanted to walk a line between maintaining what’s defined our band and brought people to our music in the first place, while trying to write for ourselves and keep ourselves interested. Being our second full-length, we knew it was important for us to surprise the listener as well - nobody wants to hear the same record twice. We wanted to give them things they wouldn’t expect, take them to new places, but also for it to be definitively a Polaris record, building on what we’ve been working towards.” Polaris returned to the house in the small Australian South Coast town of Mollymook where they made The Mortal Coil, converting it into a temporary studio. The familiar surrounds acted as something of a refuge after the high-pressure claustrophobia of touring. Accompanying the band was their front of house sound engineer, Lance Prenc, and long-time friend Scott Simpson (of Melbourne band Alpha Wolf), both of whom co-produced the album with the band. They tried a few new approaches to song writing, with tracks such as the anthemic first single, Masochist starting life as a vocal melody, around which the riffs were built, as opposed to the other way around. In the two years since The Mortal Coil, Polaris have embarked on three sold-out headlining tours of Australia, as well as supporting Architects and Parkway Drive around the country; five runs throughout Europe (including a series of arena shows supporting Architects and a slew of high-profile summer festival spots); three separate US tours; not to mention performing at Download Festival in Australia. Somewhere in there, the quintet found time to write The Death Of Me. Polaris announced a UK headline tour last week, in May 2020 with support from label mates Currents and Alpha Wolf, plus Varials. Tickets are on sale now!

Today, the band launch the third and final part of the album trailer: check it out HERE. Trailer #1 and #2 are still available HERE and HERE respectively. After several successful albums and an ever-increasing fan base, doom metallers Doomraiser have recently announced that they have signed to Italian label Time To Kill Records for the release of their next album in early 2020. Formed in 2004, the Rome-based band have evolved into an instantly recognisable figurehead for those pushing doom metal into crushing new directions. Through the years the band have shared the stage with acts such as Electric Wizard, Reverend Bizarre, The Gates of Slumber and Orange Goblin and have been experimenting and contaminating their music with raw heavy metal, psychedelia and other influences. Watch for more details on the new album release, new tour updates, and more news on other upcoming Doomraiser activities to be posted shortly. Put on your bullet belts and join us in the madness of The Years Of Aggression!” Pre-order the album here: www.yearsofaggression.noiseart.eu The stunning cover artwork was created by acclaimed artist Ed Repka (MEGADETH, DEATH, MUNICIPAL WASTE). Founding member, guitarist and singer Nick Melissourgos has prepared the songs, which were subsequently recorded in the Zero Gravity Studios in Athens, Greece, and, in case of the drums, in the Soundlodge Studios in Papenburg, Germany. The album was produced by the band itself, which has for the first time in years a consistent line-up – making them stronger than ever before. Nine songs, driven by irrepressible rage, were finally mixed by Jens Bogren at the Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, and mastered by Tony Lindgren. Italian for 'venom', 'Veleno' marks Fleshgod Apocalypse’s first record in 3 years, since the release of their critically acclaimed record 'King' (2016). The 'metal part' of 'Veleno' was recorded in Rome, Italy at Bloom Recording Studio and Kick Studio with long-standing collaborator Marco Mastrobuono, while the 'orchestral part' - the ensembles - were tracked at Musica Teclas Studio in Perugia. Fleshgod Apocalypse then took the effort over to Grammy-nominated Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, The Black Dahlia Murder, Epica) at Hansen Studios in Denmark for mixing and mastering. The entire production of 'Veleno' took, according to Paoli, about three months. Artwork for the album was created by Travis Smith (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, OPETH, KATATONIA). 'Veleno' will be available in the following formats:

Formed in 2012, Mammoth Storm left an impressive first stamp with their critically acclaimed debut EP, Rite Of Ascension, followed by numerous shows all over Europe alongside acts such as Ahab and many more. Fornjot, the band's first full-length album released in 2015 with Napalm Records, gained Mammoth Storm the well-deserved, high praise by both fans and critics alike, while pursuing heavy as hell riffs in the name of doom. Four years later, the band featuring Daniel Arvidsson (also in Draconian) on bass and vocals, drum & organ wizard Emil Ahlman and guitarist Christer Ström return to the scene with their sophomore storm of a mammoth album, Alruna. Says the band:- "It feels great to finally be able to present a release date for our second album. It´s a strong album that clearly holds it´s own identity and shows our natural progression as a band. We´re proud of what we've achieved and curious to see how the scene will respond to it." Named after the mythical plant Mandragora, Alruna is the enigmatic sequel to the highly appreciated debut album Fornjot. The album holds five new songs sprung from the same source as its predecessor but shows a broader range of expression and a somewhat different sound. The production has a rare deadly punch that animates the progression of Mammoth Storm into a new earth shaking experience. The deceptive silence has ceased, the storm is approaching! Coming in LP, CD and Digital formats June 28th on Argonauta Records, the album pre-order of Mammoth Storm's Alruna has just started at: http://bit.ly/MammothStorm_CD http://bit.ly/MammothStorm_LP http://bit.ly/MammothStorm_Bundles www.facebook.comMammothStorm www.mammothstorm.bandcamp.com www.argonautarecords.com We all wade through archetypes. We all are archetypes. Distant echoes of a life both primeval and noble. To embrace these archetypes, to accept them not only as a part of life but as life itself is what some may call enlightenment, some peace of mind. Eluveitie call it 'Ategnatos'. And by using their longest ever gap between albums to gather momentum, they just forged their strongest album around it. 'Ategnatos' will be released on April 5th 2019 via Nuclear Blast. Today, the band presents the first album trailer on YouTube. Check it and find out more about the concept and the lyrics of the upcoming album: https://youtu.be/JcoOZjwss0c Recently, the band has released the title track as the debut single. The song can be heard and watched in the form of a music video over on YouTube. The music video was produced by the Polish company Grupa13 in January 2019 and can be seen here: https://youtu.be/BG6en2WyAsw Stream or download the new single here: http://nblast.de/EluAtegnatosSingle Pre-order 'Ategnatos' here: http://nblast.de/EluveitieAtegnatos Recordings of 'Ategnatos' took place in their beloved New Sound Studio with their engineer of choice Tommy Vetterli. “Yet it was radically different as we only had four weeks to record this time around – as compared to the eight weeks we had for ‘Origins’.” By taking mixing duties to the skilled hand of renowned studio wizard Jens Bogren in his Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, Eluveitie returned to the very spot where they mixed their now legendary 'Slania' album more than ten years ago. With 'Ategnatos', the dedicated nine-piece not only worked with a real string quartet (a premiere!) and granted Fabienne Erni’s sublime mastery of the harp the room it deserved; they also undertook a holistic upgrade resulting in some of the most catchy, most aggressive or most epic tunes the Swiss Metal nobility has ever offered. Eluveitie are: Jonas Wolf | guitars Matteo Sisti | whistles, bagpipes, mandola, bodhran Nicole Ansperger | fiddle Alain Ackermann | drums Chrigel Glanzmann | vocals, whistles, mandola, bagpipes Fabienne Erni | vocals, celtic harp Kay Brem | bass Michalina Malisz | hurdy gurdy Rafael Salzmann | guitars www.eluveitie.ch | www.facebook.com/eluveitie | www.nuclearblast.de/eluveitie Denmark's Forever Still discuss the dystopian concept of 'Breathe In Colours' in first album trailer10/2/2019 After recently presenting the first single off their upcoming album 'Breathe In Colours', out on March 29th via Nuclear Blast, Denmark's high-flyers Forever Still unveil further details about their sophomore full-length release. In this new trailer - once again created by band with their long-established DIY ethic - frontwoman Maja Shining explains why the band developed the concept of a dystopian future for 'Breathe In Colours' and decided to focus the musical content on the problems of the modern world instead of writing songs with a very introspective point of view like they did on their predecessor 'Tied Down'. Today, the band is pleased to release the first trailer for this upcoming masterpiece. Check it out and find out more about the upcoming album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lqicsKRUC4 The band states: "Starvation, fear, suffering and torment - all that the inhabitants of a tribe do not want to accept any-more. What have the gods ever done for them? It is time to get up and fight! "Against All Gods" is about the battle between humans and gods and the hope of living in peace one day. A fast song with a chorus that won't leave your ears any-more!" Pre-order the album here: www.dawnofthefivesuns.noiseart.eu For the first time in history the band had the chance to work with a real choir of 16 men just to multiply the already high dense catchy tunes on "Dawn Of The Five Suns"’. The musical substance is even more eclectic, ambient and illustrious than before. Thus creating a jungle-like ambience just to drag the listener into the myths and sagas of the Aztecs! In addition to that Felipe Machado did it again and designed the fantastic and remarkable artwork. You might already know him from his artwork projects with Blind Guardian, Xandria, Rhapsody of Fire and of course from Kambrium‘s last album ‚The Elders’ Realm’. "Dawn Of The Five Suns" was mostly recorded at the renowned Kohlekeller Studio under the direction of Kristian Kohlmannslehner. www.kambrium-band.de www.facebook.com/kambrium |
