Global Metal Apocalypse (GMA) Awards 2021 - Metal Release Of The Year (by country / territory)8/1/2022 So we now know who the winners of the GMA Awards 2021 were, but to wrap up the event in it's entirety and bid farewell to 2021 and usher in 2022, we must turn to the last bunch of awards - 'Metal Release By Country / Area'. Usually these would include the flag of the band's nation, but given the events in Afghanistan this year among other political turmoil, I felt it would be prudent to forgo any flags and just list the winners.... so without further ado here are the.... |

South African Post Metallers Constellatia to re-release 'The Language Of Limbs' via Season Of Mist
6/5/2020
South African post metal band Constellatia are announcing the re-release of their acclaimed debut album 'The Language of Limbs' on various physical formats. The new pressings will be out on June 19 and are available for pre-ordering HERE.
'The Language of Limbs' was originally released on November 15, 2019 and soon after, the four piece landed a worldwide record deal with Season of Mist. The album can already be found on all digital streaming platforms HERE.
Consttellatia comments:-
"We hope everyone is keeping safe during these unprecedented times. We are making the most of our interrupted lives by working on record number two. Today, we are thrilled to announce that pre-orders for the Season of Mist pressing of our debut album are now live, as well as a slew of new t-shirts (all designed by Rouleaux van der Merwe)."
The cover artwork of 'The Language of Limbs' can be found below, together with the track list.
1. All Nights Belong to You 2. In Acclamation 3. Empyrean 4. The Garden |
Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Constellatia is the collaborative vision of Gideon Lamprecht and Keenan Oakes, founders of well-known acts Crow Black Sky and Wildernessking respectively.
'The Language of Limbs' is essentially a post-metal record with black metal and progressive influences, and a healthy dose of ambience and atmosphere; always deeply engaging with a flair for the romantic and nostalgic. "It is a record that came from a place of desperation; a musical outlet for the years of hardship both members endured in their personal lives." Gideon Lamprecht comments. "It's an album about obsession and overcoming. It's a triumphant record." adds Keenan Oakes.
Formed in September 2018, and enlisting the talents of a few key collaborators, Constellatia soon completed work on the beautiful and emotional ride that is 'The Language of Limbs'. While the drums (Played by Lawrence Jaeger) and vocals were engineered by Daniel Thackwray at City Varsity, Cape Town, all other instruments were recorded by Lamprecht at his home studio in Glencairn, where he also mixed and mastered 'The Language of Limbs'. The album features additional and high class guest vocalists, namely Alison Rachel of Honeymoan and renowned singer/songwriter Lucy Kruger, and is an absolute must-have for fans of Cult Of Luna, Opeth, Pink Floyd or Wolves In The Throne Room.

After one month of voting, nearly 6,000 votes cast and countless sharing across all social media platforms by us and nominees alike, the time has come to announce the winners of the GMA Awards 2019.
But before that happens, there will be a change to how the nominees are cast. For 10 months of the year we will be running a series of rounds from which the 10 finalists will be recognised for the annual event.
The system will work as thus: nominees elected in the month of January are voted for in February... February nominees voted in March, etc and finishes with nominees in October being voted for in November - the finalists will then be voted for across the month of December and into early January 2021; finishing 8th January 2021.
Now that's put out into the open, we can finally reveal the winners of the GMA Awards 2019.

One of the biggest brutal death metal releases this year is the full length by South Africa's Vulvodynia on Lacerated Enemy Records. Titled 'Psychosadistic Design', it's everything you would expect from a top-of-the-line brutality-infused death metal album. Featuring guest appearances from members of the best bands in the genre like Waking the Cadaver, Cerebral Bore, Kraanium, Within Destruction, Acrania, Ingested and others, a new level of sickness has been breached here. Extremely corpulent, the music is thriving on sickness, and the whole album pulsates like a goddamn the motherf*cker. As expected from this label, the packaging is impeccable and all steps have been taken to ensure that this causes waves in the underground.
1. Psychosadistic Design
2. Drowned In Vomit
3. King Emesis [Feat. Alex Terrible of Slaughter To Prevail]
4. Castration Mutilation [Feat.Som Pluijmers of ex-Cerebral Bore, Chance To Die]

6. Unparalleled Insubordination [Feat. Don Campan of Waking The Cadaver]
7. Grotesque Schizophrenia[Feat.Martin Funderud of Kraanium]
