Following the release of "Into The Woods", Colombian melodic black / death metal outfit Eshtadur return with "August's Burdens", the second single from their upcoming fifth studio album "In Darkness All Shadows Gone", scheduled for release on October 2nd, 2026 via Rockshots Records. While the first single introduced listeners to the beginning of The Crow's spiritual journey, "August's Burdens" explores the consequences of that path. The song explores the weight, suffering and spiritual afflictions carried by the human soul expanding one of the central themes of the album's narrative. The title references the Augustus, a sacred and enlightened spiritual emperor whose wisdom transcends ordinary reality. Ancient traditions speak of the Three August Ones as primordial beings who brought forth sacred knowledge, including the I Ching, acupuncture and other esoteric sciences. Within the composition, these burdens become both a curse and a path toward transcendence, reflecting the struggle between suffering and spiritual awakening. Musically, "August's Burdens" combines heavy riffs, catchy melodies and a memorable chorus that intertwines vocal and guitar melodies throughout the song. Symphonic arrangements, melodic vocals and a Tuvan chorus reinforce its shamanic atmosphere while a guest guitar solo by Christopher Malmström (Darkane) adds another layer to the composition. The accompanying lyric video offers another glimpse into the conceptual world of "In Darkness All Shadows Gone", further expanding the narrative introduced with the album's first single. Jorg August comments:- "'August's Burdens' represents the moment when knowledge becomes a responsibility. Every step taken by The Crow brings a deeper understanding but also a heavier burden to carry. The song reflects the idea that spiritual growth is inseparable from sacrifice." "In Darkness All Shadows Gone" follows a continuous conceptual narrative inspired by mysticism, philosophy and personal transformation. "August's Burdens" expands the story introduced by "Into The Woods" revealing another chapter of the album's symbolic journey. Colombian melodic black / death metal band Eshtadur announce their new full-length album, "In Darkness All Shadows Gone", due for release on October 2nd, 2026 through Rockshots Records. The announcement is accompanied by “Into The Woods”, the first single and official video introducing the musical and conceptual journey behind the record. Developed over four years, "In Darkness All Shadows Gone" consists of twelve compositions combining melodic black and death metal, symphonic arrangements, layered vocals, Tuvan throat singing and atmospheric passages. Recorded with the Caldas Symphonic Orchestra, the album expands the band’s established sound while maintaining the combination of heavy riffing, dark melodies and orchestral textures that has shaped its identity. The album follows a conceptual journey through mysticism, transformation and inner transmutation. At the centre of the narrative stands The Crow, a shamanic figure moving between existence, death, emptiness and the unknown. Acting as both master and apprentice, The Crow guides the listener through a process of isolation, self-discovery and spiritual awakening, where darkness becomes not only an oppressive force but also a path towards understanding the self. Across the record, Eshtadur explore the relationship between darkness and the light contained within each individual. The songs draw upon occult symbolism, cosmic philosophy, ancestral knowledge and human emotion, forming a continuous narrative rather than a collection of disconnected tracks. Musically, black and death metal alternate as leading forces throughout the album, supported by melodic writing, cinematic orchestration and folk-rooted elements. Jorg August comments on the creation of the album: “We worked on this material for four years. It is a long album with twelve tracks, symphonic arrangements, a real orchestra, many vocal layers and Tuvan voices. At times, it felt like a giant puzzle but everything finally came together. We are proud of the result and grateful to everyone who helped us build it. A crow is calling.” The first single, “Into The Woods” represents the call to initiation and the first step into the album’s inner world. The listener is invited to leave behind external noise and enter the forest alone, confronting silence, memory and self-delusion. Inspired by contemplative philosophies and the idea of returning to nature as a means of self-discovery, the song presents the forest as both a physical place and a metaphorical descent into consciousness. Musically, “Into The Woods” combines fast melodic and aggressive guitar riffs, alternate-picked passages, dark orchestration, dissonant elements, ancestral chants and forceful vocals. The track establishes the balance between aggression, melody and atmosphere that continues throughout the album, while its lyrics address inner turmoil, past trauma and the need to confront fear before transformation can begin. The accompanying official video focuses on frontman Jorg August, who is guided by the symbolic Crow into the forest and towards the first dimension of the album’s narrative. The visual interpretation reinforces the song’s themes of solitude, initiation and departure, presenting the journey as an individual mission in search of a deeper understanding of the self. "In Darkness All Shadows Gone" will be available from October 2nd, 2026 through Rockshots Records. The album can be pre-ordered now from the Rockshots Records store at: https://rockshots.eu/cuhb5ys9ncs1ndx The album was produced by Jorg August, who also wrote the music, lyrics, compositions and orchestral arrangements. Follow Eshtadur: Colombian Death Metal band The Scum stream their new single "Burial". The song is taken from "The Hunger", band's second highly anticipated album, set for the international release date on April 18th, 2022 via Wild Noise Productions and Satanath Records.
The project was created in 2013 in Manizales, city of the Eje Cafetero, cradle of extreme metal in Colombia. Their material has been released by the most important record labels in Colombia: Brutalized Records and Hatewoks, played shows in cities around their country and Ecuador and in some of the most important metal festivals in their region. The band was elected as openers for prominent acts as Destruction, Tim Ripper Owens, The Haunted, Pungent Stench. Their material has been mixed and mastered by important musical producers in the international metal scene as Tomas Sogsberg and Andy Classen and their only professional video was directed by the most important horror director in Colombia Juan Diego Escobar. From the beginning The Scum has been strongly influenced by the horror genre in films and literature and the sounds of old school death metal. They have released an EP in 2015 called “Self-Destructive Race”, a debut album entitled “Ashen” in 2018 that was mixed by Tomas Skogsberg in Sunlight studios and an EP also mixed by Tomas Skogsberg and mastered at Stage One Studio by Andy Classen named “Dead Eyes” (2020). Guest vocal was by Dave Ingram (Benediction). A video was made for the title track of the EP “Dead Eyes” directed by Colombian most important horror director Juan Diego Escobar. New album “The Hunger” mixed again in Sunlight Studios. Frenetic music for those about Death Metal, raw and traditional. The Scum is the perfect combination of Old School extreme music and horror thematic. Coming from the cloudy mountains of Manizales, Colombia, The Scum is preparing a new album that will blow your brain out. Savage riffs, nasty growls and machine gun drum fills makes "The Hunger" a record you must have in your collection. If you enjoy bands like Entombed, Benediction, Unleashed, Napalm Death, Sinister, for sure "The Hunger" is a record you must have in your collection. Recorded and mixed at Bad Home Studio Manizales (Colombia). Mastered in Unisound AB (Sweden) by legendary producer Dan Swanö. All music by Santiago De Los Ríos, Mauricio Aristizabal, Jose Fernando Ospina. All lyrics by Jose Fernando Ospina. All guitar solos were recorded by Julian Gil Monroy. Cover art by The Art of Yan Sek. Layout and booklet by Ana Caballero.

Colombian black metal cult Daemoni stream the entirety of their long-awaited second album, Black Tyrant, at heavily trafficked web-portal CVLTNation.com. Set for international release on the symbolic date of June 6th via Goathorned Productions, hear Daemoni's Black Tyrant in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Hailing from Bogotá, Daemoni formed in 2009 and feature members who've cut a wide path in the Colombian extreme metal scene, including such bands as Horncrowned, Nosferatu, Divine Prophanity, Inoculation, and Disenterror among others. Biding their time patiently, the band made their first public recording with their debut album, Stillborn Redeemer, in 2011. No need for a demo, Daemoni burst into the underground with cold, iron-fisted malice here: Stillborn Redeemer tellingly featured a cover of Dark Funeral's "Shadows Over Transylvania," used with permission from Lord Ahriman, and suitably did the album brim with an ancient fire.
Years would pass, but Daemoni continued to be a force on the live front, supporting Colombian shows by such luminaries as Mayhem, Suffocation, Dark Funeral, Krisiun, and Vader among others, with 2018 bringing the band's first European show in Madrid, Spain. Alas, the time to strike again is upon us and Daemoni eclipse the freezing fire of their debut with Black Tyrant. A more finesse 'n' focused work, Black Tyrant exudes an air of professionalism and daresay "maturity" that thankfully never threaten to neuter the primeval fury at the heart of Daemoni's aesthetic. Indeed, the album is aptly titled, for the band's songwriting has reached a masterful level, wholly matching the more muscular aspect that guides these eight underworld hymns. Each instrument is clearly heard, robust but blood-red; the quintet are in the throes of demonical possession, but still retain a tightness of execution. And after 40 furious, fiery minutes, the listener shall likewise reach a state of demonic possession with Black Tyrant.
Graced with masterful artwork by Jenglot Hitam, at long last does Black Tyrant arrive, for black and tyrannical is Daemoni's reign!
Hear the full march of that reign exclusively HERE, courtesy of CVLTNation.com. Pre-order info can be found HERE.
