Brazilian Doom ritualists Pombajira premiere the new track "Vital Lucifer" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track hails from the band's striking debut album, simply self-titled Pombajira, set for international release on November 29th via Helldprod Records. Hear Pombajira's "Vital Lucifer" in its entirety exclusively HERE. There's nothing much to say about Pombajira! Or so the band claims, but we at Helldprod feel differently: Pombajira is a six-song excavation of deathly doom draped in darkness and dirtiness! In fact, after the record's 30 minutes of pulsing, punishing filth, it'll take you at least a week just to feel clean again! Or, imagine Pentagram's most earth-shaking doom moments integrated into the atmosphere of Celtic Frost's Into the Pandemonium, creating a ritualistic and ecstatic trance... Truly, Pombajira's debut album is a bolt from the blue - a dark horse ready to run you over! Formed in late 2017, Pombajira was created by ex-Grave Desecrator Hellson Röcha. Soon enough, he roped in a drummer and also his old guitar-playing friend Blizzard. After a year of wasting time with this drummer, T. Splatter (Velho, Lápide, Poem's Death etc) took up the drum duties. A few rehearsals were enough for Pombajira to record an entire album, and finally, it emerges as Pombajira! Directly influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Hellhammer, Venom, Pentagram, as well as others of a similar dark ilk, the power-trio have successfully reached their goal in sounding heavy, basic, sombre, and uncompromised. And no fucking religious proselytism nor a cocky arrogance with the lyrical content! Pombajira's moniker derives from their Afro-Brazilian cultural roots and serves as a foundation to flirt with the enigmatic spiritual imagery and sometimes superstitious atmosphere which is around them. In addition to their personal experiences, the band is influenced by magick, rebellion, sarcasm, and darkness. What results is uniquely Pombajira, and what the band brand HEAVY ROCK INFERNO! It's Halloween! And what better way to celebrate this event with a studio announcement from the masters of horror themselves; Carach Angren! The band is currently in studio for the recordings of their 6(66)th full length which, will be released via Season of Mist in 2020. Drummer Namtar has kicked off the recording last week at the Tidal Wave Studio in Germany. Carach Angren comment:- "After many incredible tours meeting our dedicated fans around the globe, we finally return to the studio! Over the past two years a lot of creativity and effort has already flown into preparing our sixth monstrous full length album. For recording drums, bass and guitars we return to familiar grounds, working with the talented Patrick Damiani at his Tidal Wave Studio in Germany while vocals and orchestral arrangements are being prepared in our own crypt. For the mix of the album we welcome a new force, namely Robert Carranza (Marilyn Manson), who's work up until now has impressed us very much. Get ready for another chapter of horror!" With 'Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten', Carach Angren are returning to "pure" storytelling with episodes that are centred on a girl playing a little too long with her Ouija board. The Dutch have pushed their unashamedly theatrical style to a new intense height. You do not believe us yet? Press play and unleash these radiant ghosts into your home… www.carach-angren.nl www.facebook.com/carachangren English Hard Rock / Heavy Metallers Collateral release music video for new single 'Mr. Big Shot'31/10/2019 English Hard Rock / Heavy Metal crew Collateral have released a music video for their new single “Mr. Big Shot” from their forthcoming debut full-length album, which will be available on February 21, 2020 via Roulette Media Records / Cargo Records UK. The video can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/O67NZRS0zck The exciting and flamboyant rock and roll band are comprised of Angelo Tristan (lead vocals, guitar), Todd Winger (guitar), Jack Bentley-Smith (bass) and Ben Atkinson (drums). Collateral have been busy in the studio since after the release of the ‘4 Shots!’ EP, Collateral worked relentlessly to keep the momentum going. They won a Camden Rocks Festival competition out of 20,000 bands to play the main stage at the Electric Ballroom on June 1, 2019. A few months later, they won a competition between 40 bands at the Ramblin’ Man Rumble to play the Rising Stage at the Ramblin’ Man Fair festival 2019. The band drew the biggest crowd when they played the Rising Stage at Ramblin’ Man. One of their most exciting achievements for Collateral in 2019, was when they won a competition out of 200,000 entrants to support Jon Bon Jovi on his Runaway to Paradise Mediterranean Cruise departing Barcelona to Majorca on August 26th. Now, Collateral’s hotly tipped debut album is likely to propel them next level. A lot of people don’t know what to expect from the new album, as the band have been tight-lipped about the new songs. Collateral have created a state-of-the-art rock album that will enable fans to feel the blood, sweat and glory that went into the recording of every song. Front man Angelo Tristan comments:- “We wanted to stay away from the normal rules that apply to what you can and cannot put on an album. The album contains all of our inspirations, and nothing’s has been diluted. I’m very influenced by country music which is evident in the song “About This Boy”. Jack is heavily influenced by 80’s rock on tracks like “Mr Big Shot” and “Promiseland”. One of the more Southern style tracks on the album is “Merry-Go-Round.” It’s a reflection of Todd’s inspiration from bands that include Black Stone Cherry and Cadillac Three. Our drummer, Ben, comes from a far heavier metal background which really gives the songs their powerful edge. The album is comprised of nine songs – all killer and no filler. The recording of this album was an amazing experience from the get-go. To finally see this record come to life was remarkable. I hope the fans will share the same excitement we had when we made the album. Buckle up. We’re in for one helluva ride!” www.facebook.com/collateralrocks www.collateralofficial.com Symphonic / Cello metal band Leecher have released a brand new song and lyric video called Get Over It, heralding their upcoming second studio album Deviant, expected to be released early 2020 via Nail Records. The new album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Gábor Vári (Dystopia) in Miracle Sound Studios. Just like the cover of the new album “New Dawn Awaits” by Tales of Evening, the cover art and the layout design was created by Alex Mihályfi-Tóth (Redart Illustrations). Leecher: Get Over It (Official Lyric Video) - youtu.be/4qopgnN9vpw “This song teases our new album, Deviant, which is going to be released early next year. We’re looking forward to this release very much and we’re very proud of the new material, producer Gábor Vári really did a marvelous job! We truly feel we’ve given our best this time, there are no fillers on this record. In the same time, we’ve become more honest, we’re not afraid to express our freaky thoughts, hence the title of the album” - the band commented. Despite it’s popularity, bands with music akin to Finland’s Apocalyptica’s metal played on cellos instead of guitars never crowded the scene, and Leecher started moving bows on their strings in 2008, when this unique genre was already flourishing, mixing female vocals, cellos and melodic metal. As soon as they’ve unleashed their debut album “Sightless” back in 2016, things started escalating quickly as Leecher found themselves performing all over their home country of Hungary with increasing international interest that resulted in an European tour in 2018 with Blodiga Skald. Now with “Deviant” soon to be added to their catalogue, these determined and charming musicians are absolutely ready take their presence in the international scene to the next level, as they combine all the best aspects and sounds this genre has to offer - certainly recommended to fans of Therion, Nightwish and Apocalyptica. Leecher: Messengers Of Fear (Official Lyric Video) - youtu.be/55IwXRPpUVE Earlier this year Leecher has released the first new song off the album, Messengers of Fear, featuring growled vocals by Axuruk Kaleniuk of Blodiga Skald who they have also performed with on their European tour last year. Founded in 2013, Dvne is a 5-piece progressive rock/metal band from Edinburgh, Scotland. With highly dynamic compositions venturing from delicate and intricate melodies to crushing and brutal soundscapes, Dvne's music takes its listeners through a deeply emotional journey filled with dystopian thematics, grand narrative, and other-worldly landscapes. Fans can expect their upcoming 2nd full-length album - and Metal Blade debut - in 2020. Dvne comments: "We are over the moon to announce that we have joined forces with Metal Blade Records. Working with such a legendary label and being among so many bands that have inspired us throughout the years is a huge honour. Having just finished recording our next album, we are beyond thrilled on how far we've pushed our music and ourselves, and can't wait to unveil it to you all with the support of one of the most iconic record labels in heavy music." To date, Dvne has released one studio album and two EPs. They emerged within the UK scene with their first EP Progenitor (2013 - Wasted State Records), shortly followed by a second EP, Aurora Majesty (2014 - Sea of Corruption Records). Dvne quickly began to make a name for themselves in the UK and around Europe, with various shows throughout these territories alongside the likes of Eyehategod, Crowbar, Dragged Into Sunlight, among others. The band's sound at the time was already crossing over different music styles, including post-metal, progressive rock and sludge metal, but it is with their first full-length album, Asheran (Wasted State Records), that the band further established their unique blend of heavy music. Released in August 2017, Asheran was overwhelmingly praised by the press and was listed on many "best album of the year" lists. Since Asheran's release, Dvne has toured all over the UK, Europe and North America, appearing at prestigious festivals such as Psycho Las Vegas, Desertfest London and Inferno Festival Norway. Not content to repeat their previous releases and always looking to push their sound forward, Dvne recently finished recording their 2nd album at Chamber Studio with producer Graeme Young. This new 10 track journey will be released worldwide via Metal Blade Records in 2020. Stay tuned for more news coming soon! Iranian Metalcore horde Calibre (metalcore) are considered one of the best bands out of Tehran. The band was formed in 2015 by Hamid Saleh. After three instrumental shows during 2015-2016, Amin Yahya Zadeh joined the band as vocalist, and the band had more sold-out shows in 2017-2018. In early 2018, the band started to work on their own stuff leading to Calibre’s debut album "The Storm Inside". It took almost a year. "The Storm Inside" contains 8 tracks and will be released worldwide through Downfall Records in late December 2019. Their sound is loaded, with catchy riffs, heavy drums, growls and clean vocals! Their songs and lyrics are about human feelings, and the struggles we all have inside. www.downfallrecords.com Finland's melodic death superstars Children of Bodom have released an official animated video for the title track of their latest album, Hexed. The RMIT University in Australia spent the last 15 weeks working on the video, with producers Aaron McLoughlin and Simon Norton spending around 3000 working hours with their team to create the video. Check it out here: youtu.be/oDeH1XJ9Tzo Aaron states:- "As always, we like to come up with something that suits what the band is all about, so we drew inspiration from the song lyrics as well as the monochromatic imagery found in Children of Bodom’s videos and album art. We decided a black and white horror film would be cool - set on a lake, of course! And we had to include a Roy cameo appearance, obviously! Although Hexed is a fast track, it’s also particularly measured in the way it plays out over the 5-minute duration, so part of the fun was crafting a cinematic narrative that flows with the amazing technical precision of the music. The animation students at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia are some of the most talented rising stars in the world, and I think they’ve done a terrific job on this project. Animating metal videos is such a fun thing to do at university, and the team felt very honoured creating this film for Children of Bodom." Bassist Henkka adds: “It’s such a cool thing to have a video of one my favourite tracks of the album. And the fact it’s made by Aaron and his 25 students in Australia is even cooler. The black and white calm mood suits perfectly to this not-so-calm song. The lake and it’s reflection makes a perfect ending for it." Credits:

What may have been a wild fantasy for many metalheads was finally brought to fruition in May 2019 in co-production with Le Vivier et Codes d'Accès when the eighteen member choir took the stage for their first public performance. Comprised solely of metal growlers, the choir blends metal and contemporary music in a way that is groundbreaking. In their debut performance conducted by Senécal, the Growler Choir performed the dramatic words from the poem "The Dayking" by Fortner Anderson backed with a reinforced sound arsenal. The Growler Choir does more than emphasize vocal techniques specific to the genre of extreme metal, they explore the sonic potential of the voice to demonstrate its extraordinary properties, both sensual and monstrous. They thoroughly delighted the audience, many of whom sat on opposite ends of the musical spectrum. The one of a kind performance was recorded so that music lovers everywhere can witness this very unique event. The Growler Choir innovates on several levels. On one hand, it materializes an almost mythical idea of metal music; on the other hand, it renews the archetypes of a genre by approaching them in an experimental spirit. In short, they are making contemporary and metal music more approachable for new audiences. To watch this incredible spectacle, please visit the following link via MetalSucks.net HERE.
