Their newest album, “The Network” teleports listeners into a cyberpunk world filled with neon lights, and punctuated with progressive riffs. The last album “Revelation” was released in 2016, and since then, they have taken a more orchestral direction using a string quintet and planning to incorporate more orchestral instruments. Within the cyberpunk world, research is conducted to find the correlation between chord progressions and the manipulation of space and time. The band explains further and details the first single “Inner Skepticism”: “The combination of frequencies opens a wormhole into a future setting that blindsides the character. In this place, people have unseen technology and seem indifferent to his presence. This is the album opener that brings the listener into the world of “The Network”, an atmospheric opening into a bombastic tour de force. Tons of progressive riffing and virtuosic musicianship in this piece.” The instrumental album is eight tracks long for a total running time of just over forty minutes. It is the result of many influences, especially prog, metal, classical, orchestral, electronic, and video game music combined into one strange form by nine members who met through orchestras and university. The vision and compositions by drummer / violinist Matthew Logan with the assistance of founding member Shawn Hillman are now being finally brought to life.
Taking their inspiration from classical symphonies, movies, and video game soundtracks as well as neo-classical even extreme genres like black and death, Opus Arise creates music that will challenge the listener.  Danish orchestral black / death metallers Sinnrs have signed with Sliptrick Records. Where classical and extreme metal both collide, and merge in extreme harmony; Danish duo Sinnrs exude their own form of blackened metal, a sound that proves more brutal than their name, a sound cited in their own worlds, as “pure dark matter”. Nero and Maestus formed Sinnrs in July 2017, and immediately started conjuring songs for their debut album Profound, launched a year later on the 22nd of July 2018. The 10-track release contains a juxtaposition of punishing guitar riffs and relentless blast beats with symphonic arrangements and soaring vocals is fascinating in the way it highlights the inherent differences and similarities these genres have. During 2021, Nero and Maestus created the maxi-EP Detrahamus. With their new release, Sinnrs are taking their orchestral and symphonic elements to a new level, while still maintaining their signature dark and atmospheric sound. The sky ghost, the wayfarer, the shadow of time, the exile; he is called by many names yet for the Immortal, he is cursed to traverse the cosmos aimlessly, searching for an unattainable purpose. Chained to him is a beast, a demon from antiquity who the immortal keeps as a reminder of his past. Upon the corridors of the Tymeer capitol the immortal presents his seemingly profound doctrine called the “Compendium of Ethical Symbiosis” which outlines a harmonious way of governing and regulating the various civilizations under the ruling regime through casting down warmonger ideologies and laws which degrade the value of its species. Though momentarily entertained, the ruling counsel of Tymeer dismisses the wisdom of the wayfarer. Passing through the city gates tired and morally degraded, the immortal along with his insidiously chained demon wanders into the wastelands of Tymeer.
