Danish death grinders Sequestrum unveil new song “Preserved To Last”

Copenhagen death grind unit Sequestrum (ft. members of Chaotian and Undergang) have unleashed the first single off their forthcoming debut EP, Pickled Preservation. The song, titled "Preserved to Last," is one of the 7 furious offerings of extreme filth (including a cover of Impetigo’s “Dis-Organ-Ized”) found on the EP.

The band comments on the song:-

"'Preserved to Last' feels like a good presentation of what the band is about, having both grimy grinding parts, gory groovy chunks and a more rocking section. We feel it shows the slight diversity of what we try to mix within our death metal and also soaks it in the sludgy vocals expulsions of our three vocalists, in an attempt to make the music stand out a bit more too with the disgusting vocal diversity of our members in charge of those parts."

Decibel Magazine is hosting the exclusive premiere of "Preserved to Last." Stream it now at this location.

The EP was tracked at Mayhem Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark, and was mixed and mastered by J. B. Hviid. The follow-up to the band’s 2021 demo, Pickled Preservation presents a clearer, more refined production, though still horribly soaked in sonic sewage.

Pickled Preservation is set to be released worldwide on January 27 through Extremely Rotten Productions on CD, digital and cassette formats. Pre-order the digital edition at  sequestrum.bandcamp.com.

Sequestrum was put into flesh in the second half of 2021, after a year’s planning, composing, and rearranging of songs, trying to work out what music the band wanted to create, that would also differ from the other bands of the members (Chaotian and Undergang). Originally a project created by guitarists Søren and David, the band got completed with the additions of local fiends Andreas on bass and Frederik on drums, and together they wrote and arranged the debut demo The Epitome of Putridity over the next half year after starting to rehearse together as a band. It was decided that all members should be doing vocals, to make the songs sound as full of extremity and variety as possible.

Trying to induce grimy grinding and gory death metal with a bit of rock, Sequestrum is trying to offer a bit of a different approach than widely seen in today's worldwide death metal scene. The debut demo was then recorded by Andreas at his portable Båndsalat Studio, at the band's rehearsal room, and released in time for their debut show in Copenhagen in March 2022. Two months later it was officially released and distributed on CD/MC and as a limited lathe cut 7" through Extremely Rotten Productions.

The band played a few more local shows during 2022 and by Autumn went into local Mayhem Studios and recorded their follow-up EP Pickled Preservation during the middle of October.

English Death / Grind veterans Carcass debut new single 'Under The Scalpel Blade'

14/12/2019

English death/grind legends Carcass are gearing up to headline the closing night of Metal & Beer Fest: Los Angeles on December 14th. In preparation, the band have released a new single called 'Under The Scalpel Blade' on streaming services today! The track is the band’s first new song in 6 years. 'Under The Scalpel Blade' was recorded during sessions for their upcoming 7th studio album that’s due out in 2020.

Jeff Walker about the single:

"It’s always difficult trying to decide what new song to expose people to, especially given an absence of nearly seven years???? With that in mind here’s a slow throw away number we cobbled together, and NO the title was NOT plagiarized from the DISORDER album of the same title before you ask!"

Stream 'Under The Scalpel Blade': nuclearblast.com/carcass-scalpel

Carcass’ new single 'Under The Scalpel Blade' is a taste of what’s to come from the band’s long-awaited 7th full-length album. It follows the release of several classic albums over the years, including Heartwork and Necroticism – Descanting the Insalubrious, and their influence has changed the face of extreme metal with every consecutive release. Whether it was inventing gore-grind (i.e. Reek of Putrefaction, Symphonies of Sickness) or creating the template for melodic death metal (i.e. Heartwork), Carcass have always made records by which bars were set and rules were broken. Upon the band’s dismantling in 1996, fans mourned the loss of the seminal act and longed that the group would return again one day.

In 2007, the metal world got its wish as Carcass reformed to play several sold-out reunion shows around the globe. Once again re-motivated to administer a shot of cynicism and infectious riffs into the arm of a sickly metal scene, founding members Bill Steer and Jeff Walker recorded the next chapter of their influential career, 2013’s Surgical Steel. Following the critically acclaimed release, the band toured the world extensively, including recent performances with Slayer on their final world tour. Now the band that broke barriers 25 years ago has returned to the studio to tear them all down again with their 7th record, which will undoubtedly be one of next year’s most anticipated heavy metal albums.

Jeff Walker | Bass/Vocals

After a 13-year hiatus, Brazilian Death Grinders Stomachal Corrosion have returned with a new self-titled album! Stomachal Corrosion was originally released in Brazil by Cogumelo Records. Greyhaze Records will bring this relentless album to audiences worldwide on October 11. All album tracks are available for streaming on the band's Youtube channel.

The album brings forth 21 tracks based on a subjective, sick idea that is fully described in the album’s artwork. Stomachal Corrosion’s sound follows its own, original style, which has been developed and built upon over the band’s 27-year existence, and forged grindcore, crust and 90s Death Metal.

Recommended for fans of: Agathocles, Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Dismember, and Entombed.

With no frills or unnecessary complex arrangements Stomachal Corrosion is straight up fast and short, never letting up from top to bottom.

Spanish Death grinders Ernia stream new song "Free of Avidya"

Spanish death/grind band Erniahave released their new track "Free of Avidya" over at Heavy Blog is Heavy. The song is from the band's upcoming self-titled debut.

The site commented:-

"The blend of those vocals with how filthy the guitars are is what makes Ernia work; the entire album just keeps going, smashing you with riff after blastbeat after squeal. But it’s also done exceptionally cleverly, as on this track; sure, it’s fast and aggressive but it’s also interesting, blending in some really cool compositional and rhythm based ideas into the mix. Other places on the album take this even further, channelling weird ass static interludes, feedback loops, and more to keep you mad, disgusted, and spewing poison."

Stream the track here: http://www.heavyblogisheavy.com/2018/10/29/exclusive-premiere-its-time-to-break-free-of-avidya-with-the-help-of-ernia/

Belgium's Leng Tch'e reunited with stolen gear

29/6/2018

Picture

Good news for the lads of Leng Tch'e. After 5 long months, parts of their stolen equipment has been returned to them via the power of social media.

The band comments:-

"A couple of weeks after we got our van broken into and our gear stolen in Ostrava, we received a mysterious e-mail from an even more mysterious, disposable e-mail address. This person claimed he bought our gear from some junkies, and that he didn't know it was stolen. In reality it was the owner of a pawnshop who couldn’t sell our gear to anyone because everybody in the Czech Republic and beyond knew it was stolen.

In the meantime we got in touch again with the Ostrava police department, who gave us instructions on how to handle this situation. The pawnshop owner wanted us to pay €2000 to get our own gear back. We obviously weren't going to do this, so we set up a meeting with our local contact, who was joined by an undercover police officer, and the owner of the pawnshop to get our stuff back. This guy had the audacity afterwards to call us dishonest because he didn't want to give the stolen gear back to its rightful owners.

A big thank you goes out to our good friends Anxur Moravian and Dalibor who invested so much time and energy together with the Ostrava police department in coordinating this operation, and to our amazing fans who exposed our social media post to over 300,000 (!) people: we cannot thank you enough. This would not have been possible without you. Don't mess with the underground!

We are still missing Olivier's drum pedals (Pearl Demon Drive) and a lot of effects pedals, as well as a box of "Razorgrind" gatefold vinyl and t-shirts. So please keep an eye out for those. More info can be found here."

Spain's Nasty Surgeons reveal details of new Xtreem Music album

Spanish death / grind group Nasty Surgeons reveal the cover artwork (again by Juanjo Castellano), track-listing, and first single from their sophomore release, Infectious Stench, which will be released July 5th through Xtreem Music.

Having released their debut album, Exhumation Requiem, in January 2017 with a very good acceptance in the gore, grind, and death metal scene, Nasty Surgeons are back with a new album including 11 songs that will for sure appeal to any fan of bands like old Carcass, Necrony, Exhumed, The County Medical Examiners, and General Surgery.

This what Nasty Surgeons says about this first single:-

"This is our own tribute to the gods Carcass. The main riff reminded us from the beginning, and that's why the title of the song was 'The Carcass.' We adapted the title and the text. This is perhaps the 'softest' song on the album and it has a catchy riff, but we love it and it is an essential element for our live performances. Enjoy!"

Release date for Infectious Stench will be July 5th through Xtreem Music on CD format. Hear that first single, "The Carcass," both HERE at Xtreem's official YouTube channel and also at the label's Soundcloud HERE.

Go Loud Agency is proud to announce a new entry: Goresoerd from Tallinn, Estonia!

Formed in 2004, Goresoerd has quickly “evolved into the spearhead of intelligent, vicious and tongue-in-cheek extreme music in the Estonian scene” and are a “hectic, hyper-driven and entertaining” live act.

Goresored stems from the creative minds of Stig and Kari of Symbolic State, and was originally intended as a side project to quench the two Estonian’s thirst for creativity; however, soon enough it became their main commitment. Despite its grind-oriented beginnings, the addition of humorous and parodic elements largely contributed to Goresoerd‘s current sound. The band’s latest and fourth album, “Antikeha” (“Antibody”), was released in December 2016 by Crunch Industry and distributed by Inverse RecordsNeetud and 66 are a good example of that.

Stig Lindeberg (Guitars & Backing Vocals)
Tõnis Noevere (Drums)
Rasmus Tauk (Guitars)
René Jõhve (Turntables & Sampling)
Tõnu Jalakas (Bass)
