Portuguese brutal death metal trio Analepsy unveil details of new album 'Quiescence'

A new song, music video and pre-orders are expected to be released on January 31st.

“Quiescence” continues the space motif from Analepsy’s previous releases, but from a different perspective. There are no living creatures, only the deserted cosmos awaiting its own demise. The album features guest appearances from Ricky Myers (Suffocation, Disgorge), Angel Ochoa  (Cephalotripsy, Disgorge, Abominable Putridity, Condemned) and Wilson Ng (Facelift Deformation,  Vermicular Incubation).

The band commented:

"We are delighted to present our most recent work: Quiescence! This has been a tight process, and despite all the changes the band went through, everything worked like clockwork. The essence of our music lives on!"

The recordings of “Quiescence” took three months (August - October, 2021), entailing the skills of guitarist / co-founder Marco Martins, guitarist/vocalist Calin Paraschiv (ex-Pestilence), bassist  João Jacinto and ex-drummer Tiago Correia. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by  Miguel Tereso at Demigod Recordings studio in Caxarias, Portugal.

The cover artwork was created by Pedro Sena - Lordigan.

Analepsy's sound can be described as a crossover between old-school brutal death metal and modern melodic elements. The correct pronunciation of the name of the band is "uh-nuh-leh-psy" [ʌnʌlepsy], and it was chosen due to its (now obsolete) meaning: recovery of strength after an illness. The band was formed in late 2013 and started gaining popularity with the single "Genetic Mutations". Their short discography embraces the 2015 EP "Dehumanization by Supremacy", followed by 2017 debut album "Atrocities from Beyond" and split release "The Kraanialepsy Split", to whom the band was invited by Kraanium. The release of "Atrocities from Beyond" was met with growing interest and turned the eyes of many towards the band. In the months that followed its release, ANALEPSY won the Portuguese W:O:A Metal Battle, to later perform at Wacken Open Air 2017. Their first show outside Europe led them to Japan in 2019.

Line-up:

Marco Martins - guitar
João Jacinto - bass
Calin Paraschiv - vocals/guitars

Gore House Productions recently announced that they had signed Russian exponents of savage brutality, Insect Inside, for the 2021 release of their debut album, The First Shining Of New Genus. Watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gXmpY8RA48&feature=youtu.be

'Posthumous Grief' is definitely one of the stand out tracks from The First Shining Of New Genus and it features a guest vocal performance from Kevin Muller of The Merciless Concept. Kevin is a hugely respected vocalist in the brutal death metal scene who also sings with Soils Of Fate and has performed guest vocals for Suffocation. Also appearing on The First Shining... album are Roman Vlasenko from Abnormity and Kirill Nazarov from Decomposition Of Entrails.

The band have shared a few words with us to give you an idea of what to expect when you head to the Gore House channel...

"Our album is a symbiosis of several subgenres of brutal death metal! You will hear insane blastbeats, atmosphere, slamming riffs and technical riffs inherent in technical death metal, and of course ultra brutal guttural with old school growling. Our members love all death metal, from Ulcerate and Gorguts to Last Day Of Humanity, which is why on the album we tried to come to a common denominator through the theme of an ancient and undersoil swarm of insects that woke up in order to devour humanity and revive their population! Our goal is to get the listener to move to the beat of our slam grooves and just enjoy full quality brutality!"

So now you know what awaits, it's time to expose yourself to 'Posthumous Grief'!

Japanese Brutal Slam Death Metallers Gorevent sign to Comatose Music

16/4/2019

Picture

Comatose Music have added the undisputed kings of Japanese brutal, slamming death metal to their ever more powerful ranks. Please join us in welcoming Gorevent to the Comatose army!

Gorevent have been exploring the realms of the extreme for fifteen years now and have released albums that stand as blood splattered monoliths in the shadowy underworld of brutal death metal. Their debut full length album, released in 2008, Abnormal Exaggeration, has been hailed by Teeth Of The Divine as one of the greatest examples of brutality even recorded, noting in their review...

"... you cannot do death metal any better then the complete slamming, guttural putridity found on Abnormal Exaggeration..."

Gorevent's career to date has taken in demos, EPs, split releases with the likes of Embryonic Depravity, Stillbirth, Crepitation and Splattered and no less than four full length albums, culminating in last year's flesh rending In The Face Of..., - which That's How Kids Die called 'one of their finest releases to date', revelling in the ' bone-crushing heaviness' and 'superior slam-craft'.

But for all that has gone before, this is where the Gorevent story really starts. With the Comatose Music machine at their backs, Gorevent's rise through the worldwide ranks of the depraved and deranged is surely assured. Be prepared for spine shattering slams, stomach churning brutality and death metal simply too heavy to resist...Gorevent are coming for you all with an early 2020 release!

Gorevent are:-

Gokucho - Vocals
Takushi - Guitars
Suguru - Guitars
Takashi - Bass
Mick - Drums

Belarusian slammers Extermination Dismemberment drop new single 'Omnivore'

16/5/2018

At the forefront of slam, Belarusian quartet Extermination Dismemberment are leading up the charge and have revealed a brand new single and video just days before embarking to headline the Slamming Annihilation Tour across Europe. Sure to cement an already rock solid reputation, 'Omnivore' is a weighted track of mammoth proportions and offers a mere glimpse of the impending aural assault due from the bands third full length album in the near future.

Listen To 'Omnivore' Here! - https://youtu.be/bXHbPyYxuoE

The band comments:-

"Guts, blood and meat. 'Omnivore' continues the main concept of the band's whole material and appears as a connection point between the old and the upcoming stuff. The track is based on classic riffs of slamming brutal death metal. No melody, no calmness. Two and a half minutes of complete destruction. The composition gives us nothing but heaviness, which is our main priority."

Extermination Dismemberment is a slamming brutal death metal band from Minsk, Belarus. The band's current lineup includes Arseniy Kovalchuk (guitar), Vladislav Martirosov (vocals), Viktor Kanashevich (bass) and Denis Poluyan (drums). The band was founded in October 2009 by guitarist Arseniy Kovalchuk and vocalist Valeriy Kozhemyako. They started working on the debut album at once. During the process, the band found two more members: Viktor Kanashevich (bass) and Vladislav Martirosov (drums). Valeriy Kozhemyako left the band in 2013 and was replaced by the band's drummer Vladislav Martirosov in 2016. Soon after that Denis Poluyan joined the band on drums.

The band's debut album Butcher Basement was released in December 2010 by the Ukrainian label Imbecil Entertainment Records. Having started actively playing shows, Extermination Dismemberment immediately started writing new material and three years after their debut album, on May 27th 2013, the second full-length album Serial Urbicide was released by the famous Japanese label Amputated Vein Records. Immediately after the release, Serial Urbicide collected a lot of positive reviews and became album of the year according to SBDC. To this day, Serial Urbicide stays in fans' playlists and continues to gather new audiences around the world.
