Hailing from Beijing, China, Life Awaits make their label debut by releasing, their newest single, Better now, through Dreambound's YouTube channel.

With a mix of heartfelt lyrics - gutwrenching vocals and fantastic instrumentation, Life Awaits are here to impress and take no prisoners with this first single of 2019. Both new and old fans alike are bound to find lyrics and moments that will resonate within them, be it tapping their foot along to the beat, or screaming along at the top of their lungs, there's a bit for everyone to enjoy.

Vocalist Yu opened up about the track:-

"Better now is kind of an experimental song for us. We wanted to find connections between the lyrics and each note. I personally suffered from bipolar disorder for a period of time. So there’s anger in it and there’s also desperation. But most importantly, there is an exit from it all. And we hope the song can reach out to those who have the same problem and can find their own way out. This is also the first single release after signing with Famined Records. We are all very excited. And we hope it brings a new chapter to our career."

You can stream or purchase "Better now" here.

Life Awaits is a 4-piece Post-Hardcore / Alt Metal band from Beijing, China. Established in May 2015, the band gained massive attention since their first single < In Descent> that same year in September. Although the band is at its new-born stage, the band members have experience performing with their former bands all around Asia. This is part of the reason why the band has been named for “The most anticipated and international Chinese metal/hardcore band”.

In April, 2017, the band released their music video <You> which grabbed more than 600 reposts and over hundred thousands of views. The music video was also released on Dreambound’s Youtube Channel and reached over 100k views within a week which also helped to the band to gain significant global recognition. On June 3, 2017, Life Awaits released their debut album <WAVES>.

Tengger X Cavalry Recordings is pleased to present Liberation - a new Mongolian-language melodic metal force hailing from Hohhot, China. Liberation is thrilled to enter the North American metal scene with their new music video for the single "Hope". The emotional, stunning new video can be viewed now via YouTube here, or via the Alternative Press Facebook page here.

Liberation's native Hohhot is a major northern city in China rich with nomadic history and culture. The band incorporates these themes in their music, but with a fresh, young twist.

Liberation says:-

"'Hope' is an emotional track with peaks and valleys. The song describes the struggle of a person going through desperation and depression, but then rising up to hope and enlightenment."

Tengger X Cavalry Recordings founder Nature G says about the band:-

"Liberation is newly formed, yet as soon as I heard the quality and energy behind their music, they caught my eye really quickly. They're very passionate, great composers, and they give a fresh take on their own Mongolian influence with metalcore and Linkin Park-like choruses and melody. Well balanced."

"Hope" can be found on the new compilation album, Sound of the Raging Steppe, available now via Tengger X Cavalry Recordings - a new record label founded by Tengger Cavalry frontman Nature G to bring underground Chinese and Mongolian nomadic metal music to North American listeners. Sound of the Raging Steppe is available for download here via Bandcamp. The compilation also features music from five additional folk-influenced heavy metal bands, who have come together to provide a stampede of horseback-heavy sound - weaving an untold story of Chinese history that smashes stereotypes.

Liberation is:

Vocal - Oyun Dalai
Guitar - Buren Bayar
Guitar - Zurhe
Bass - Oyun Bayar
Drum - Namora

Chinese Thrashers Ancestor release debut album "Lords Of Destiny"

11/11/2018

Picture

In the beginning of 2018, Ancestor began to bring out their first full-length album under Awakening Records. This album has now been released and the lads are on an extensive Asia tour.

As a bit of background: Beijing’s thrash force Ancestor is considered to be one of the first Chinese old school Thrash Metal bands. Under the influence Kreator, Protector, Sodom and other underground legends of the Teutonic Thrash Metal scene, the four-piece have been making violent underground sound since 2007. Due to unstable line-up in the early days the lads have only managed to release their debut EP in 2017. The five-tracker under the title Age of Overload is a pure underground killer. It is brutal, energetic and violent while being musical. The darkness and the artistic seriousness of the EP reminds people of the early 80s, when the European thrash metal scene began to thrive. But this is happening in Beijing, China, in the 21st Century.

Picture
 Rise by Sin               2:55
 Deathlike Silence       4:28
 Bloody Repression     4:05
 The Final Worship      5:18
 Black Future              3:54
 Tormentor                  3:38
 Pain and Hate            4:06
 Savage Action            3:38
 Inner Struggle             4:28

Ancestor plays up-tempo Thrash Metal. Their music is aggressive in their own way. In spite of their old school song-writing they have a quite unique production, which makes their music sounding quite neat. After their release of the first album, they have made a big tour in and around China. Ancestor has been shared stage with Assassin, Artillery, Legion Of The Damned, Onslaught, Rage, Wolf Spider, etc.

Are you ready for the underground thrash maniacs from China?

Ancestor are:

Li Meng - Vocals/Guitars
Yang Fuwen - Guitars
He Yang - Drums
Li Han - Bass

Ancestor's album Lord of Destiny is now available on Bandcamp.

Nomadic Folk Metallers Tengger Cavalry experiments on upcoming album, "Die On My Ride"

22/4/2017

Picture

Bands that take on a "theme" often end up pigeon-holing themselves, releasing album after album with the same overarching concept and sound. When it came time to write and record their upcoming full-length album, Die On My Ride, Global Music Award-winning nomadic folk metal group Tengger Cavalry recognized the opportunity to expand on their celebrated exotic sound and lyrical explorations of tradition, history and warfare by delving into more personal, topical themes of racial discrimination, identity, equal rights and freedom.

Die On My Ride, which is scheduled to hit stores on June 2, 2017 via M-Theory Audio, delivers the potent, inimitable metal-meets-Mongolian / Central Asian world music sound that diehard Tengger Cavalry fans have come to know and love, while incorporating fresh styles and concepts that a whole new fan-base will enjoy. Listen to the brand new title track, "Die On My Ride", via lyric video now at MetalInjection.net:

http://www.metalinjection.net/av/new-music/die-on-your-ride-with-tengger-cavalrys-meditative-die-on-my-ride

"Die On My Ride is a rather different album than all of our previous releases," states Tengger Cavalry mastermind and frontman Nature G.

"This album reaches a more personal place for us. We discuss personal struggle surrounding identity conflicts, racial discrimination and individual freedoms. I think an important part of existing in modern society is learning to accept one another for who we are and embrace our differences, and to look beyond that to find a deeper connection between each race or ethnic group. Coming from a different place and walking the line between the Mongolian music world and American music world is sometimes challenging for me. I see all kinds of stereotyping and people throwing hatred, prejudice and judgement at one other because of arrogance, insecurity or simply a lack of understanding. This creates a huge identity conflict for individuals. These concepts make up a lot of what this album is about. Being yourself, pushing past judgement from others, being strong and fighting for your individual freedoms."

Nature G continues, "Musically, I intentionally tried to incorporate more clean vocal choruses, semitones and western minor scales, rather than stick just within our traditional Mongolian folk style. We also incorporated piano to add a more emotional element to the songs."

Die On My Ride was self-produced at Nature G's production studio Raiding Media, and is available to pre-order now in both physical CD and vinyl format via M-Theory Audio or digitally via the band's Bandcamp page.  Die On My Ride is Tengger Cavalry's first album available in vinyl format, as well as their first album to be released with M-Theory Audio - the new label recently launched by Marco Barbieri, former president of Century Media Records and Nuclear Blast America.

Die On My Ride will be supported by a North American tour and performances at several European summer festivals. Further details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
