Scotland's As Daylight Fades release second EP ‘Love//Loss’

Released yesterday, As Daylight Fades’ ‘Love//Loss’ EP is a bleak musical proposition. “Everything comes to an end,” says Matty Clarke, frontman of the Glaswegian metalcore miserablists; “The songs of our E.P are about loving and losing people close to you, which is something everyone, unfortunately, will have to deal with at some point in their life.” Boasting four tracks audibly soaked through with frustration, thundering riffs and breakdowns provide a furious backdrop for Clarke’s desperate vocal tirades: “The lyrics cover the idea of facing the world alone, and the challenges you’ll face whilst doing so.” Get it here.

The release follows the EP’s exclusive stream with Metal Hammer. Recalling writing sessions that would sometimes stretch out over 48 hours without any rest, Clarke comments; “It was easier to keep going whilst we were in the zone instead of stopping and picking things up another time. It’s not ideal at all, but it helped us write the EP, and a nice 15-hour sleep after writing a song was always good. We put everything into the writing process for this release, so it’ll be a proud moment for us when we finally get it out there.”

As Daylight Fades – completed by guitarists Alan Ross and Douglas Park, bassist Roland Walet and drummer Cameron Humphrey – geared for the release with a set of UK and European tour dates, from which they cut together footage for their recent video for The Great Divide (here). “What sets us apart from our local scene is the fact that we have the drive and motivation to get ourselves out there,” opines Clarke; “We love writing, we love recording, we love playing shows and most importantly we love music.”

Midwest metalcore quartet Ecclesiast has announced their Self-Titled EP set to release June 24th on Sancrosanct Records. With the EP announcement, the band has debuted their first single off the record titled, "High Horse".

Vocalist, Joseph Smith commented on the new single saying:-

"In my eyes, I see the path that's laid before in my heart and I know what is wrong and right. High Horse. This quote means something personal that I went through and questioning my own decisions through how other people felt. This whole song basically is about being the person that God wants you to be and not what man wants you to be."

Pre-orders for the new EP will go live on iTunes May 30th. Watch "High Horse" below.

https://www.facebook.com/EcclesiastOfficial/

Ecclesiast is a four piece Christian metal band based out of St. Charles county Missouri. They strive for excellence, not only through their electric performances, but through the heartfelt message and music they put out. Pursuing a professional look, with a hometown feel, they are fully dedicated to what they do, through the passion, and authenticity of leading the listeners and audience alike to Christ through driven lyrics with a backbone. Stemming from personal hardships, to glorifying the lord, Ecclesiast encourages all to stand up, fight for what they believe in, and pursue whatever dreams they may have, be it small, or large, no task is too heavy to handle. We are Ecclesiast. We are the heart and soul of ministry through compassion, love, and a willingness to perform for the glory of God.

Bangladeshi Blackened Death stalwarts Serpent Spells set to release debut album

Hailing from Bangladesh, the three-piece Serpent Spells is yet another band to get under the wings of Godz Ov War Productions. Owing to the collaboration, the debut EP entitled 'Mantras Within Ascending Fire' featuring nearly twenty minutes of unique Blackened Death Metal will be released as soon as on May 31.

Four tracks contained on the release closely follow the classics of extreme music and bring to mind the accomplishments of Sarcofago or Archgoat. Still, Serpent Spells' music is not only murderous tempos, wild vocal parts or thick and demoniacal riffs. The band takes you by surprise with their well thought-over rhythm arrangements, they are brave enough to bring in unusual melodies or incorporate oriental accents that make their music sound exotic. The whole thing, be it brutal and raw, sounds most lucid and contemporary.

The cover was created by Michael Capili, and the excellent layout was developed by Marckus.

Tracklist:

1. Prism of Flesh (Entrance)
2. Piercing the Cervix of Nehemah
3. Scourge Heretic Consecration
4. Mantras Within Ascending Fire

Before the release, you can listen to 'Piercing the Cervix of Nehemah' on SoundCloud

Pre-sale of 'Mantras Within Ascending Fire' on standard CD has already started at www.store.godzovwar.com

Amaranthe hit the studio with fourth album poised for October release

Swedish melodic metal forerunners Amaranthe have officially entered the studio to work on the follow-up to 2014’s breakthrough album "Massive Addictive", which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart upon release and which enjoyed unprecedented U.S. radio airplay in support of the singles “Drop Dead Cynical” and “Digital World.”

The new album is due out on Spinefarm in October.

Amaranthe will spend their summer laying waste to stages at all of the relevant European rock festivals before embarking on a near-constant global touring schedule after the album’s release.

"As some of you no doubt have heard by now, we have entered Top Floor studios with Jakob Herrman in Gothenburg to record our fourth album,” said guitarist Olof Morck. “It is extremely exciting to be back in the creative zone after spending two years traveling the whole world in support of "Massive Addictive". We will spend one month here recording drums, bass and guitars before once again moving onto Jacob Hansen's studio in Denmark for vocal recordings and mixing.”

He continued, “We are beyond thrilled about the new material, which is certainly Amaranthe's most diverse so far; our trademark bleeding edge modern metal is ever present, but fused with an even  wider range of genres than before, featuring everything from stadium rock, the latest in pop music innovation and danceable super-hits. Expect these tunes to enter your mind permanently, never to leave, later this year!"

In other Amaranthe news, they’ve racked up some new certifications. The band’s single “Nexus” went gold and “Amaranthine” & “Hunger” have gone platinum - all in their home country Sweden.

More details about Amaranthe's latest bleeding edge modern metal masterwork will be revealed soon.

Colombia's Internal Suffering unleash 'New Hymn' via Heavy Blog Is Heavy; Pre-orders Available‏

"Cyclonic Void Of Power", the scathing new full-length from long-running brutal death metal legion, Internal Suffering, will devour the masses on June 24th, 2016 via Unique Leader in CD, vinyl and digital formats.

Captured at 16th Cellar Studios in Rome (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance, Hideous Divinity, etc.) by Italian death metal mastermind Stefano Morabito (Eyeconoclast, ex-Hour Of Penance), "Cyclonic Void Of Power" delivers ten brand new tracks of the band's traditionally fast yet chaotic and wildly technical brand of sonic malevolence. A concept album divided into three separate chapters, "Cyclonic Void Of Power" follows the mystical, mythological and magic chaotic universe the band has explored on previous outings into far more complex realms.

In advance of its release, Heavy Blog Is Heavy has unveiled the record's title track for public consumption hailing the band's combination of, "awesome vocals that dive into slam territory with some really intricate and technically difficult guitar work," furthering, "this song is a banger... very much worth your time"

Hear "Cyclonic Void Of Power" here.
Pre-order options for Cyclonic Void Of Power are currently available here.

Spawned in 1996, Internal Suffering relocated from their home base in Pereira, Columbia to Madrid, Spain. Notorious for their apocalyptic brand of brutal, blasting, technically proficient death metal, the band's bestial discography includes four full-lengths: 2000's "Supreme Knowledge Domain" (Repulse Records), 2002's "Chaotic Matrix" (Displeased Records), 2004's "Choronzonic Force Domination" (Displeased Records), and 2006's "Awakening of the Rebel" (Unique Leader Records), the last two of which featured the production of extreme metal sound-wizard Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal/ex-Morbid Angel).

A maniacal work ethic and thirst to spread their audio peril globally has allowed Internal Suffering the opportunity to ransack stages throughout the US, Europe, and Asia along the iconic likes of Cannibal Corpse, Sodom, Incantation, Exodus, and Origin, among many more.

Rise Records have announced the signing of Five Finger Death Punch to a North American recording deal. The first album with Rise Records, the BMG-owned rock label, will be released following the completion of Five Finger Death Punch's obligation to its current label, Prospect Park.

The hard rock juggernauts, comprised of vocalist Ivan Moody, guitarists Zoltan Bathory and Jason Hook, drummer Jeremy Spencer and bassist Chris Kael formed in 2005 and have released six highly successful albums, five of which have been certified gold, with one reaching platinum status and another soon to follow.

The Portland, Oregon-based label is excited to work with the band, welcoming them to a roster that includes Of Mice & Men, PVRIS, Crown The Empire and more. Craig Ericson, CEO of Rise Records, adds, "I'm honoured to be working with one of the biggest arena rock bands in the world. I'm very confident in the future of Five Finger Death Punch and Rise Records and can’t wait to hear the music they make with our company.”

“We are looking forward to the next phase of our recording career. We have had great success with our current label, Prospect Park, and will continue to enjoy further success with our next and final album (subject to surmounting the label’s court action to prevent us from recording it), after which we will commence a new and exciting label partnership with the people at Rise and BMG,”
said guitarist / founding member Zoltan Bathory.

Five Finger Death Punch recently put tickets on sale for a Fall arena tour with co-headliners Shinedown and special guests Sixx:A.M. with support from As Lions. They will play a handful of festival dates this summer in North America and Europe.
