About two years after the release of their debut album 'Existence', French modern-metallers Hyaena just unveiled a first video excerpt from their upcoming new album with the single "Stolen Hero" available right now on YouTube.

The song will feature on 'Poison Pen', coming out this fall for CD & Digital on the band's webstore and the main legal services. Pre-orders are already opened on the Ulule crowdfunding platform.

Watch the official music video of "Stolen Hero" | Pre-order the album on Ulule

Hyaena is born in 2010 in Orléans,France and performs a kind of progressive metal, with some pieces of various other metal genres, going from ambient to death metal. The band, founded by Nathan Lourdou and Jimmy Couton, became a full band in 2013 with Virgile's vocals.

Their first EP 'Seasons', mixed and mastered by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, The Contortionist, Scale The Summit...), was released after almost a year of work. The songs, both technical and melodic, ask about society and the relationship of men with their environment.

The reflection about the human condition is a constant for the band who has concluded the EP by the release of the single "YAMA" in 2014, with its first music video.

After a few shows, Alex Barthelemy joins the band and focuses his work on the first full-length album called 'Existence', and spent 3 years producing 62 mins of progressive dark ambiances and captivating melodies.

Canadian Gothic Metal musician Lindsay Schoolcraft releases new single "See The Light"

Cradle of Filth keyboardist and vocalist Lindsay Schoolcraft, has just released her track "See The Light". The song is from her upcoming album Martyr which will be released in October and features a guest appearance from Xenoyr of Ne Obliviscaris. The album was co-written with former Evanescence drummer Rocky Gray.

Lindsay commented:-

"I knew I wanted to have a duet on this album somewhere and the more I completed composing “See The Light” with Rocky Gray the more I knew Xenoyr needed to appear on it. Sometimes if you want to say something loudly it has to be screamed harshly and the more I reflected on the lyrics the more I heard many of our shared conversations. This song is open to interpretation, but I wrote it back in 2016 when it was prevalent that greed and prejudice were more valued globally over compassion and doing the right thing. Those difficult times for the world inspired this song greatly.”

Australian Black Metallers Advent Sorrow set release date for new Werewolf album; first track revealed

30/7/2019

Werewolf Records, in conspiracy with Hells Headbangers, sets September 27th as the international release date for Advent Sorrow's highly anticipated second album, Kali Yuga Crown, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

One of Australian black metal's best-kept secrets, Advent Sorrow have been in a perpetual state of refinement for a decade now. In 2015, the band released their debut album, As All Light Leaves Her, a haunting 'n' hovering slice of prime DSBM. Since then, Advent Sorrow have been planning a grand rebirth, and it arrives at last with Kali Yuga Crown: a bolder, more muscular iteration of total solitude & inner destruction. As suggested by its cover art and especially its title, Kali Yuga Crown steps forward toward Advent Sorrow at their most Alpha - richer, rougher, more well-rounded, yet exuding an arrogance suitable for their newfound finesse - and a sound that poignantly straddles the epic and remorselessly violent. Truly panoramic, this is black metal that breathes an atmosphere of past, present, and future; no easy, trendy sonic signposts here nor safe digestion for ears weaned in the social media era. Roots to Advent Sorrow's earlier days have surely been planted across Kali Yuga Crown, but the foremost importance is its destination: song titles like "Wolfhook and Weapon," "With Conviction," "Caesar," and most definitely "Death in Magic Antagonism" should say more than enough. And with this record, Advent Sorrow have indeed arrived.

Werewolf Records is a Luciferian metal temple founded in 1998. The wolfish cry from the Carelian battlegrounds, Werewolf Records releases black metal and other dark arts motivated exclusively by theistic Satanist views of the founder Werwolf. In this age when black metal's worth is questionable, idealism and rigour are the exception when they should be the highest law. We uphold the law of the Wolf - the destruction of the weak and the false so that the original vitality of the dark magic art can continue to grow and create the foundations for an empire. Black metal is Will and Power. We deal with material that inspires us on our journey towards our own kingdom - a kingdom that is not yours, but bears a resemblance to the one there could be for you. Now in conspiracy with Hells Headbangers, the temple of Werewolf Records shall wage its war farther and wider than ever, with no spiritual surrender.

In the meantime, hear the new Advent Sorrow track "Verminblood" HERE at Werewolf Records' Bandcamp, where the album can also be pre-ordered.

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of new school black metal formation Mora Prokaza. The Belarusian duo are currently in studio writing their brand new album which will be released in 2020 via Season of Mist.

Mora Prokaza comment on the signing:-

"We came here to continue making our music with new powers. Nothing is more important than the continuation of the creation of powerful compositions. Now, with Season of Mist, we are opening a new chapter in our works. Our main joint task is not to betray art and show that in the modern world we all can hear the new black metal and new forms of metal music. "

Not familiar with the work of Mora Prokaza? You can find the somewhat unnerving latest music video for 'Blacker than Black' here!

The band with the cunning name Mora Prokaza was formed back in 2013 by Farmakon (guitars, vocals) and Isvind (drums). Both musicians have a long-term experience of playing many local Belorussian extreme metal bands. The material for the first release “Bringer of Plague” was quickly composed and released in early 2015 and with that, MORA PROKAZA shared Russian stages with bands such as HELL SPIRIT, SUSPERIA, DARKEND, CLAYMORDS, MORIBUND OBLIVION and many others.

In the winter of 2015, two weeks after the release of "Bringer of Plague" (2015), the band supports INQUISITION in St. Petersburg. At the end of April 2015, Isvind leaves Mora Prokaza and furious drummer Hatestorm joins the band commencing the recording of new material. With the addition of Hatestorm, Mora Prokazaopen up new opportunities and the band change their composing approach and sound concept. In May 2015 the musicians present their brand-new EP "My Awakening" shorty followed by a new full-length "Dark Universe" (2016).

Now with Season of Mist by their side, Mora Prokazawill introduce you to something new. The Russians are exploring brand new musical territories which are promised to be "Blacker than Black"!

All hail the unnerving New School Black Metal wave of Mora Prokaza.

Italian Christian Power / Prog Metallers S91 unveil new single and lyric video

Christian power / prog metal band S91 presents the new video "Godfrey of Bouillon" featuring singer Egidio Casati from Boarders. The song is taken from the latest album "Along The Sacred Path", released by Rockshots Records in Spring 2019.

"Along The Sacred Path" album traces the history of Christianity through the life of some key figures. One of them is Godfrey Of Bouillon, first ruler of the first Crusader State. He is also the main character of Torquato Tasso's "Gerusalemme liberata", a poetic character of extraordinarily evocative force. Moved by sincere faith, he is a humble hero who refuses the title of King.

"Along The Sacred Path" Album is available at Rockshots Store:
 http://bit.ly/AlongSacredPath_CD

SPOTIFY - https://spoti.fi/2YnKUKR

Watch the video above.

S91’s style is in the wake of a coordinated progressive-metal with symphonic influences, led by the warm and strong voice of Maria Londino standing above.

The band explains their sophomore full length:

"'Along The Sacred Path' is a concept album that traces the history of Christianity, continuing the narrative from "Behold The Mankind". The story is told through the life of some key figures that are not always considered positive by everyone. The main goal is to show how the Gospel message has spread in its original form, becoming the fabric of modern Western society. Scrolling through the track listing, you will see that all the characters are of European origin. This album is also a tribute to the great nation of EUROPE. As proud citizens, we feel it is a nation that today, more than ever, needs to recognize and rediscover its founding values if it wants to survive in these dark times and continue to be a beacon of civilization for the whole world.

Track Listing:

1 - Constantine the Great (5:40)
2 - Saint Patrick (5:24)
3 - Pope Gregory I (3:38)
4 - Olaf II Haraldsson (5:02)
5 - Godfrey of Bouillon (5:02)
6 - Joan of Arc (4:42)
7 - Martin Luther (4:39)

Canadian Heavy Metallers Kobra & The Lotus to release new album 'Evolution' on September 20th

Calgary-based Heavy Metal quintet Kobra & The Lotus have returned with their new studio album 'Evolution', which will get a September 20th release on Napalm Records. The upcoming LP sees the band imbued with a new fire that comes through by way of undeniable hooks, soaring guitar riffs, marching drum beats, and the soulful, bombastic vocal delivery of lead singer Kobra Paige. No longer bound by old formulas and expectations from the past, 'Evolution' comes through with a sound that is expansive and, at times, borders on outright swagger. Each song feels like an Active Rock hit in the making, while still having the grit and feverish intensity that longtime fans have come to admire from Kobra & The Lotus.

Fans can now enjoy the first offering from 'Evolution'. The band has dropped their music video for the new single "Burn!", which can be HERE.

'Evolution' boasts the band's most cohesive and confident material to date. For the new record, Kobra and the Lotus enlisted the services of producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette[Alter Bridge, Linkin Park, Slash, Sevendust].

"The new body of work sets the tone for the music going forward. Sonically, it’s still heavy. It highlights the showmanship and maintains the edge. At the same time, it’s approachable. It pays tribute to our influences, but it takes the next step. So, it’s a reintroduction to us and a rebirth. A firm goal was to build a strong identity and update everything. We just want to be
Kobra & The Lotus; that’s what we’re doing."

The first single, "Burn!” ignites this chapter. A hummable riff snaps into a visceral verse as the frontwoman directly declares, “I really hate you, yes I do.” The track builds towards an incendiary and infectious chorus, hinging on a see-sawing guttural groove and hitting like a sledgehammer.

“It’s about all of the reasons you hold yourself back,” she explains. “You literally need to burn all of those feelings, stories, excuses, and obstacles keeping you from being your own authentic self. It’s super personal. It’s a product of growing and arriving as a person. I’m realizing who I am. It’s symbolic of the rebirth,” says Kobra.

Pre-orders for 'Evolution' are available now over at https://smarturl.it/KATL-Evolution

Going further into the process behind Evolution, Kobra comments:-

“We’ve never done a record like Evolution. We’ve flown demos over the internet back and forth or started a few ideas prior to hitting the studio. This time, we were all working together in the flesh for the full duration of the writing process. It’s a collision of everything we love. We feel like it’s the freshest and most timeless thing we’ve brought to the table.”

Canadian Melodic Death Metallers The Agonist unleash brand new video! Orphans coming September 20th

September 20th 2019 will see Canada's finest extreme metal export, The Agonist, release their brand new album, Orphans, with Rodeostar Records. More extreme, more melodic, more exciting and larger than life sounds: On their sixth studio record, The Agonist are unleashing a true monster feeding on melodic death metal and almost rocking moments. In between beautifully anthemic metal sound walls, pounding grooves and fierce riffs, charismatic front vocalist Vicky Psarakis showcases her impressive range that covers everything from rock diva all the way to sick death metal growls. The result is a flickering, iridescent and varied masterpiece nestled in between sheer brutality and melodic frailty – simply incomparable!

But let the music speak for itself, as today The Agonist have unleashed a second track from their upcoming Orphans! Watch the new video for Burn it all Down HERE!

Says Chris Kells, The Agonist bassist and video director:-

"When the band had first decided to make "Burn it all Down" a music video, naturally I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to make a high intensity video that portrayed Vicky's anger in delivering the lyrics, all while a blazing inferno is happening behind the band. It wasn't an easy task to make happen! I thought i had it all figured out with my video team but none of us had ever done a fire shoot before. Normally we take our time in setting up the lighting and over analysing the shots to make sure what works best in the moment. There was absolutely no time for that. Once we lit the fire It was a a race right till the end to make sure we kept it blazing and high all while trying to get every one of our scheduled shots in. In the end everything worked out, we didn't burn down a field, nobody got hurt, just singed, and we all hustled to make sure we got everything done that was needed.“

Coming September 20th as Deluxe Box, LP, CD and Digital formats on Rodeostar Records. Orphans is available to pre-order at THIS LOCATION!

Iranian Death Metallers Nex Carnis set release date for new Blood Harvest EP

26/7/2019

Picture
Blood Harvest Records has set September 27th as the international release date for a brand-new EP from Nex Carnis, Black Eternity, on 7" vinyl format.

Hailing from Iran and with an album and demo to their name, Nex Carnis are a steadily rising force, wisely parcelling out their releases - Black Eternity makes three total since 2012 - and delivering quality over quantity every step of the way. This new two-song 7" is no different, and shows that Nex Carnis are effortlessly making their Metal of Death craft that much more powerful and provocative. Utterly dark and disgusting, hammering and dizzying in equal measure, Black Eternity indeed sounds much like its title and suitably drags the listener down into labyrinth after labyrinth of untold horror. And yet, for however vile 'n' virulent the band's brand of death metal may be, there's a strangely hummable magic to it that further elevates Nex Carnis' classicism. Behold Black Eternity and begin drowning in DEATH! Drums on this EP were recorded by Alvaro Sequeida (Occidens, Melektaus, Godagainst).

Pre-order info can be found HERE at Blood Harvest's Bandcamp and also HERE.
