It’s time to put on your pirate hat and inflate your rubber ducks, because the world-famous Pirate Metal Drinking Crew, Alestorm, have just set sail on a new voyage with their seventh studio album, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum, set for release on June 24, 2022 via Napalm Records. Pre-orders start now! Alongside its pre-order kick-off, Alestorm have released the charging first single from the new album, “Magellan’s Expedition” – an epic quest telling the tale of Ferdinand Magellan’s historical circumnavigation of the earth in 1522. The official video was filmed on location in a castle, features tons of pyro, and of course, a huge yellow laser-eyed rubber duck fighting a young maiden warrior, transforming her into a real, beautiful duck! Featuring majestic orchestral backing, whirling folky violins and huge Latin choirs, this song is classic Alestorm like you haven’t heard in years – a real throwback to the early days of Captain Morgan’s Revenge! The band spent two years during the lockdown going insane and frantically dredging up the craziest pirate metal anthems from their treasure chest of ideas, and have created the most epic and serious (yes, serious) sounding Alestorm album you’ve ever heard. From the symphonic choir-powered “Magellan’s Expedition” to the rousing anthem “Under Blackened Banners” featuring intense technical riffing and exquisite solo duels, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum is a real throwback to the early days of Captain Morgan’s Revenge. But fans of the modern Alestorm sound need not worry either – there’s plenty of party mood in the aptly-named future hit song “P.A.R.T.Y.”, and the high speed, insane folk metal banger “Cannonball” has the most ridiculous and offensive lyrics you’ve ever heard in a pirate metal song (making “Fucked With an Anchor” sound tame).
As an extra special treat for the die-hard collector fans, some special editions come with a full acoustic rendition of the entire album, and there’s even a legendary version of the album FOR DOGS once again. In the Wooden Box only, there is a special 7” Single vinyl, including “Christmas with Alestorm” and “Nyár Van”. Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum will be available in the following formats:

No matter if you are ready or not, you filthy landlubbers – Alestorm returns in an uncensored, satirical, and glorious manner! Two years after their latest album, No Grave But The Sea, the pirate metal drinking crew will return to the nightmares of all decent sea marauders out there with their brand new conquest, Curse Of The Crystal Coconut, to be released on May 29th, 2020 via Napalm Records. Known for their signature attitude and unashamedly catchy tunes, the crew, led by Captain Christopher Bowes, is proud to present eleven bombastic pirate anthems, kept in their signature unadulterated, chaotic fashion that will pull the rug out from under your feet. Breaking the stereotypical portrayal of pirates as the lone wolves of the sea, on Curse of the Crystal Coconut, Alestorm will be joined by Ally Storch of Subway to Sally (violin on the entire album) and Captain Yarrface of Rumahoy – amongst others! The variety of tracks featured on the album will satisfy even the pickiest adventure seeker and the wildest pirate parties out there. “Chomp Chomp”, featuring vocals of Vreth of Finntroll, may make you never want to enter the open waters again, but will definitely invite you to dance along to ravishing melodies. The catchy rhythm of “Pirate Metal Drinking Crew” makes the track yet another foot-stomping anthem in the assortment of these treasure-searching marauders. However, don’t take their rage too light-heart, as once they unleash the “Pirate’s Scorn” and its brutal riffs, there may be no coming back… Of course, it wouldn’t be an Alestorm album without their unique sense of humour – this, and much more, can be found on the party-smashing “Treasure Chest Party Quest” or the surprising “Zombies Ate My Pirate Ship”. Although the Curse of the Crystal Coconut may remain a mystery for now, one thing is for sure – it will make you throw all the conventionalities aside and join this humorous pirate crew on their most fierce and grim journey so far! Pre-Order Curse of the Crystal Coconut NOW! Curse of the Crystal Coconut will be available in the following formats:

These Swedish marauders of the sea take you through the ups and downs of pirate life! The sinister atmosphere of the first single, “No Prey, No Pay”, conveys the spirit of what it means to be a pirate and catapults you back in time – right into the 18th century of the hazardous world of Ye Banished Privateeers. Ye Banished Privateeers on their first single "No Prey, No Pay": “By the grace of God and King George’s arse! We are releasing a new video, and our next album is officially on the way! “No Prey, No Pay” sets the stage for the album and describes how times suddenly had become more difficult for those sailing under the black flag. More than ever, piracy had become a hazardous task, many times with the sole purpose of getting enough value to guarantee a decent meal for a couple of days.” Pre-Order Hostis Humani Generis HERE: Ye Banished Privateeers on Hostis Humani Generis: “It is with great pride that we present to you our fourth full length album - Hostis Humani Generis! Over the course of 13 songs (well, 15 if you get the deluxe box) we tell the immersive story of a delinquent pirate crew, the downfall of the pirate republic of Nassau, and the end of the Golden Age of Piracy. We are immensely happy that the time has finally come to share this with you all, and we really hope you like it as much as we do!” YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS are:
Napalm Records Ahoy there, all ye crusty crusaders of the seven seas! ‘Tis a fortuitous day indeed for the infamous privateers and pirate metal outfit Lagerstein, who have announced details of their upcoming third studio album! Hailing from Brisbane, Captain Gregnarr and his fearsome band of buccaneers have gained the envious reputation of being Australia’s premier pirate metal outfit, with multiple sold-out shows across their home country and several successful stints in Europe. Having secured a place on this year’s Sabaton Open Air and Wacken Open Air, the Lagerstein crew set sail once more with their upcoming studio offering ‘25/7’, promising a glittering treasure trove of twelve jaunty, colourful and undeniably boozy sea shanties. Serenading their love of rum, drunken parrots and drinking from shoes, ‘25/7’ will be a coveted keepsake for any self-disrespecting, yellow-toothed swashbuckler! Having hit the studio earlier this year to record in Sweden with world renowned producer Fredrik Nordström (Bring Me The Horizon, Arch Enemy, In Flames, Soilwork), Lagerstein’s upcoming album will be sliding into port on 23rd August 2019 via Kegstand Records. ‘25/7’ boasts traditionally seaworthy instrumentation scored with modern, distorted guitar work and coarse vocal outbursts that continues the seven-piece act’s legacy as one of the greatest "party bands" of modern metal. On the album’s title, the band offer a simple, effective and inspiring explanation:- "What could be better than partying for 24 hours? Sailing west and stealing an extra hour of daylight so we can party 25/7!" Lagerstein took to social media to confirm that the artwork of ‘25/7’ has been dug up from the deep ahead of the album’s summer release date. The "party pirates" are also currently engaged on their huge "Endless Rum" Tour, which takes the band across Europe, UK and Australia, with plans to continue partying their way across the globe to share the fun and joy of the pirate’s life with landlubbers and sailors the world over! Banding together in Queensland, Australia, Lagerstein dreamed of being a pirate metal band on a never-ending voyage to rock stages, create catchy music and have the best time, all the time. In the 9 years since, the seven-piece act have become an emerging hit, equally well-known for their unmistakable brand of catchy party tunes and a hugely entertaining live show of legendary proportions. Violinist Mother Junkst says:- "Originally we simply wanted to play in a band where we’d have beer bongs on stage. Something fun, silly but with awesomely catchy songs. With time this became something much more. We didn’t choose the pirates life, but it turns out we are perfect for it!" Pre-orders for ‘25/7’ and more details on the album will be available soon. Tickets for Lagerstein’s ‘Endless Rum’ tour can be purchased directly from the band’s website. Raise your steins, it’s party time! Stop what you are doing and get yourself a bottle of rum as Australia’s favourite party pirates Lagerstein have just dropped a new single! Releasing their very own pirate rendition of the 80’s Eddie Murphy & Rick James classic “Party All the Time” this crew know how to instantly create a party banger. Mixing hilarious pirate shenanigans with rock and folk metal, the pirate crew hailing from Brisbane are known for their legendary stage show, which brings a house party to the heavy metal show. Teaming up with Swedish wizard and legendary metal producer Fredrik Nordström of Studio Fredman, the crew have created a version that we can now party all the time too! Lagerstein guitarist Neil Rummy Rackers had this to say on the new single: “We started playing this song in practice for fun a while back when someone was late. We knew immediately that it would work in a live setting. Since then we have performed it all through Europe, UK and Australia, so it was only fitting that for Lagerfest V we release it as a single. We were very excited to be working with the legendary Fredrik Nordström in Sweden who has made it sound absolutely massive!” Check it out here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vi2ISIp_aoA Lagerfest V starts Saturday in Melbourne at Max Watts. You have three chances to catch this incredible band live and have a few beers to say the least! 15/9 - Melbourne - Max Watts 21/9 - Sydney - Bald Faced Stag 6/10 - Brisbane - The Brightside Car Park https://www.facebook.com/lagerstein/ Oh wow! Back in 2008, Alestorm were mere newcomers and beginners - and yet they created a modern metal classic and a completely new subgenre. Captain Morgan`s Revenge marks the birth of Pirate Metal as we know it today and turned a couple of young Scotsmen into the hottest band the modern metal scene has to offer! Ten years later and sold-out shows all over the world, their boozy debut gets its well-deserved anniversary treatment and will be re-released on January 26th 2018 with Napalm Records! Captain Morgan`s Revenge – 10th Anniversary Edition has received a fresh remix and remastering by original producer Lasse Lammert at his LSD studios and will be coming with a rejuvenated artwork. Alongside the 'Live At Summer Breeze' bonus disc, this re-release will be a true gem for all collectors, new fans and nostalgics alike! The pirates about their upcoming Anniversary Edition: "Oh wow! Can't believe it's been 10 years already since we made this record. We were all terrible musicians back then, and it was only thanks to the immense skill of our producer Lasse Lammert that we managed to salvage a passable bunch of songs. But anyway, it seems a bunch of you people seemed to like this album, so we decided to give it a bit of spit and polish for the 10th anniversary. NO, this is not one of those shitty 'brickwall' remasters that some bands do, and NO, this is not a re-recording by a bunch of disinterested and jaded old musicians. We've taken the original multitrack source material from 10 years ago (bad playing, cheap keyboards, awful vocals and everything), and just re-mixed the whole album to be punchier, tighter, more dynamic, and more sonically delightful than before. You probably won't even notice the difference! But it's there. And it'll sound awesome on vinyl, for the first time ever!" Captain Morgan`s Revenge – 10th Anniversary Edition, coming as CD digi pack, LP gatefold and digital download, is now available for pre-order HERE!

A person who experiments with near-death experiences in order to explore the underworld. Necronautical (adj); of or pertaining to Necronautics or Necronauts. Necronautical (band); A cluster of musicians using the medium of extreme blackened metal in order to disconnect from reality and to espouse the thought that true freedom of the spirit is found beyond the monotony of modern human existence. Fittingly wearing the crown of thorns as the fourth inductees to the resurrected Cacophonous coven, Misanthropic Black Metal 4-piece Necronautical blur the barriers between fantasy and reality. Voyaging the treacherous waters of the underworld, they explore notions of the afterlife with their pummelling, virtuoso musicianship. Their colossal sophomore album "The Endurance At Night" is set for release 15th July on Cacophonous, and showcases a new energy and strength for British extreme music. "Necronautical are delighted to become part of the Cacophonous family. We are humbled to appear on the same heritage-rich label that brought the world such great and influential bands as Cradle of Filth and the legendary Bal-Sagoth, and proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our brothers in The Infernal Sea, The King is Blind and Old Corpse Road at the forefront of UK Black Metal. Our upcoming album 'The Endurance at Night' will leave listeners battered and raw; awestruck by the brutality and power inherent in the universe, interpreted herein as a salvo of scathing blasts, screeching melodies and churning riffs. We're very excited to show the world what we've been working on, and can't wait to showcase the new album on stage in the Autumn this year.” - Anchorite, Bass https://www.facebook.com/Necronautical/ |
