Dutch metallic hardcore band Yakoeza presents its first single and video, “March Of The Mindless Sheep"

Yakoeza present their first single and lyric video “March of the mindless sheep” .

  • The single can be found here: https://open.spotify.com/track/1RBfnu7D9bTJMjlyu3ZU1L
  • The lyric video can be found here: https://youtu.be/kYT3_pU8xco

Yakoeza, a female fronted hardcore / metal formation from Hellmond/the Netherlands with (ex-) members of Hidden Guns Streetpunk, Ragepyre, Cyanide Paradise and Alternator. Different musical influences like hardcore, metal and punk collide in Yakoeza. It is no wonder that Yakoeza is mainly influenced by Machinehead, Suicidal Tendencies and Knocked Loose. In short, an evening with Yakoeza is guaranteed to be filled with an overload of quick and loud noise.

Autumn 2022 Yakoeza hit the studio with the renowned Roelof Klop where they recorded their first single. To complete Yakoeza’s first release, Will Putney, known from his work with bands such as END, Gojira and Fit For An Autopsy, worked his magic by mastering the song. The title of the track “March of the mindless sheep”, is a nice precursor to the lyrics that make up the songs of Yakoeza.

March Of The Mindless Sheep is a hardcore / metal track starting out with a soft, vulnerable approach in atmosphere, until the drums open up the track like a machine gun causing mayhem.
Throughout the song metal and hardcore influences, especially in the chorus and the breakdown, are noticeable. March of the mindless sheep is a protest against inhumanity during war. Inspired by events throughout history, with the Ukraine-Russia war still raging on as we speak.

Lyric wise the song asks its listeners to think about choices, as if they were marching in the soldier lines themselves, that lead up to the point they find themselves in now. Do you feel as if you’re doing the right thing? Do you trust those who give the orders? After all the horrors you’ve endured and seen, don’t you have an ounce of regret? The song aims to create a sense of urgency, as it could only be a matter of time until war is on your doorstep.

Dutch melodic death / metalcore faction For I Am King are back with their new single 'Liars'

Dutch metal band For I Am King make a staggering return with new single ‘Liars’, which is their first release in four years. Their previous (and most recent) musical achievement was 2018's sophomore album 'I', the follow-up to 2016's debut album 'Daemons'. The release of 'Liars' also comes with the new and exciting addition of drummer Ivo Maarhuis (ex-Izegrim). Check out the accompanying music video below.

"The past few years have been strange for all of us. The constant uncertainty about whether or not shows would go through, took a heavy toll on us. Yet, this period has also given us the space to work hard on new music and take the time to do so. This resulted in our best, hardest and most detailed work to date. We can now look forward to a period full of live shows and new music with a lot of enthusiasm", guitarist Koen Scheepens explains. "The release of 'Liars' symbolises the beginning of a new era for us. We are leaving the pandemic behind us and starting a new fantastic chapter: we are back and going harder than ever!", vocalist Alma Alizadeh adds.

Since their formation in 2013, For I Am King have released two albums ('Daemons' in 2016 and 'I' from 2018) both of which received international acclaim from fans and critics alike. They have played countless shows worldwide including in Japan, China and Europe, plus a number of high profile festivals such as, Jera On Air, Wacken, Zwarte Cross, Metal Days, Eurosonic-Noorderslag, FortaRock, Full Force and more.

Dutch symphonic metal superstars Within Temptation’s newest single ‘Don’t Pray For Me’ is now out.

An anthem for pursuing one’s own destiny, the band state:

“We live in a world where cultures and beliefs are melting together, while at the same time acts of intolerance and injustice dominate the world. Both societal issues and a rapid increase in sub-beliefs have resulted in fear, fragmentation and disconnect”.

Vocalist Sharon den Adel continues:

“‘Don’t Pray For Me’ strives against forcing beliefs and fears onto others and bears witness to being acceptive of everyone’s own journey. It is an anthem about coming to terms with the fact that beliefs can be fluid, multiple or frankly: different. The song is about allowing people to pursue their own destiny.”

Listen to the brand-new single ‘Don’t Pray For Me’ now across all major streaming platforms. Smart link: https://wt.lnk.to/dpfm

‘Don’t Pray For Me’ is the fourth single of Within Temptation’s independent releases. The band has been busy in the studio writing and recording brand new songs for their forthcoming album, which they expect to release next year.

Korn shares video for "Worst Is On Its Way" and global tour dates

Following the release of their highly anticipated studio album Requiem via Loma Vista Recordings in February, Korn shares a new video for the next single "Worst Is on Its Way". The Craig Bernard and Culley Bunker-directed visual shows the band's high energy performance of the song in greyscale as individual members of the band are decomposed into animated particles with a series of visual effects. The 9-track album features the hit single "Start the Healing," which  peaked at #1 on the Active Rock chart, in addition to the previously released tracks "Forgotten," which Rolling Stone described as "explosive" and "Lost In The Grandeur," which dropped as a final taste of Requiem just a few days before the record's release.

Recently described by GQ as "bold and iconoclastic" and released to high acclaim including recent features on the covers of Revolver and King Kong magazines, Requiem is produced by Korn and Chris Collier. Energized by a new creative process free of time constraints, the band was able to do things with Requiem that the past two decades haven't always afforded them, such as taking additional time to experiment together or diligently recording to analogue tape - processes which unearthed newfound sonic dimension and texture in their music.

Additionally, Korn is slated to take their live show across a worldwide run of headline festival and amphitheater tour dates kicking off this summer and running into the fall. The extensive tour begins with a headline performance at Daytona Beach's Welcome To Rockville festival before kicking off EU/UK dates in Amsterdam on May 25th. The tour will see stops in Berlin, London, Stockholm, Budapest and more before returning stateside for dates in Denver, Charlotte, Dallas, Boise and others. Tickets are currently available for purchase HERE.

Watch "Worst Is On Its Way" and listen to Requiem above, see full tour routing, album details and information on the band below and stay tuned for more Korn coming soon.

Within Temptation release 'Forsaken' (from The Aftermath)

6/12/2021

Picture

Legendary leaders of dark anthemic music, Within Temptation, have released ‘Forsaken’ (taken from their online show ‘The Aftermath’). ‘Forsaken’ was originally released as a part of the band’s third studio album The Silent Force in 2004 and is a rare asset in Within Temptation's setlist.

However, the band played a brand new version of ‘Forsaken’ during their audio-visual online spectacle ‘The Aftermath’ which originally aired on July 15 & 16, 2021. You can now listen to ‘Forsaken’ (taken from ‘The Aftermath’) across all streaming services ahead of a new broadcast of the highly praised online show.

The band received rave reviews for the spectacular original screening of ‘The Aftermath’, being praised for their unique take on a live stream show, featuring incredible stage sets, state-of-the-art digital effects and breath-taking musical performances with guest artists from all around the world.

Vocalist Sharon Den Adel spoke before the broadcast saying:-

“The Aftermath is a show fuelled by bleeding-edge technology that takes place in different scenes of a post-apocalyptic world, in which we are witness of the aftermath of destruction of mankind. A world in which it is unknown if anyone or anything of human race survived. It is a search for answers about both its becoming as well as its legacy.”

As a gift for their fans during these extremely difficult times, ‘The Aftermath’ will now be available for streaming from December 24 until December 31. The show will be free to watch again for fans that bought a ticket for the original dates aired in July, and new tickets are now available from €7,99. Get your ticket here

Within Temptation then get set for a very exciting year ahead. In March 2022, the Dutch band will kick off their WORLDS COLLIDE TOUR – a massive European co-headline tour together with Evanescence. The bands will tour Europe's most important venues, including The O2 in London, Accorhotels Arena in Paris, and Ziggo Dome in the Netherlands.

After a very busy summer festival season, the band will embark on an American stadium tour with the legendary Iron Maiden, appearing as their special guests during the second leg of the tour, taking them to the biggest stages across America in October 2022.

Den Adel comments:

"After a few quiet years, we hope that our shows in 2022 will take place, with the icing on the cake: a tour with Iron Maiden! We have all been huge fans of the band for so long and there is no bigger compliment than being invited as a special guest for their tour. We can’t wait!”

Symphonic metal veterans Within Temptation release brand new video for 'Shed My Skin'

14/7/2021

Picture

Dutch powerhouse Within Temptation have released the official music video for their brand-new song ‘Shed My Skin’.

The music video is released one day before the band’s online show ‘The Aftermath – A Show In A Virtual Reality’ – taking place on July 15th & 16th. ‘The Aftermath’ is an online show fuelled by bleeding-edge technology, enabling the band to do a performance that’s out of this world – literally. The show will take place in four different worlds, in which the band and audience are witness to the aftermath of the destruction of mankind.

The video for ‘Shed My Skin’ (feat. Annisokay) previews this highly anticipated online show, which promises to be an audiovisual spectacle with guest singers from all over the world joining the band for striking duets in even more striking settings.

  • WATCH THE VIDEO HERE
  • GET YOUR TICKETS TO ‘THE AFTERMATH’ HERE

For ‘Shed My Skin’, Within Temptation have teamed up with German metalcore band Annisokay. This collaboration has resulted in an absolute bombastic metal anthem.

Frontwoman Sharon den Adel comments,

”’Shed My Skin’ revolves around dealing with inevitable changes in life. It is about becoming the person we are meant to be, even if that means losing people we love, but have grown apart from. Real growth begins where comfort zones end and that’s exactly what the song is all about: if we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.”

Listen to the brand-new single ‘Shed My Skin’ (feat. Annisokay) across all major streaming platforms now.

Dutch avant-garde death metallers The Monolith Deathcult unleash new track 'Gone Sour, Doomed'

Picture

Dutch avant-garde death metal Kaiju's The Monolith Deathcult are releasing a brand new album entitled 'V3 - Vernedering' (“Humiliation”), on May 14th. The follow-up to 2018's 'Vergelding' represents the final instalment of the V-Trilogy.

The Monolith Deathcult comment:

‘Vernedering' is a blood-chilling super-spectacle and the ominous last sorry chapter in the once-proud franchise of the V-trilogy. Despite being nominated countless times for the honourable Covid-escape. The Monolith Deathcult stays relevant (as fuck) and reinvented itself musically countless times like the most advanced shape-shifter. V3 aka Vernedering is the soundtrack of The Great Rese(n)t and what we will built back better is a new artistic empire of shocking embarrassment. Our message is as blunt and brutal as a lead pipe: We, The Monolith Deathcult, are the new invincible gods and the best is yet to come.'

"This is the fist in the face of those who thought we had become 'soft' and 'radio-friendly'. 'Gone Sour, Doomed’ is a ruthless blast beat salvo hounded by bitter gritty D-beats and an irresistible groove that will bring the juvenile arenas to a manic boiling scenery”.

The album was mixed by Guido Aalbers (Giesound) and mastered by Pier Durk Hogeterp. The production was in the hands of The Monolith Deathcult and the cover artwork came courtesy of the band's own Carsten Altena.
