New York, USA deathcore band A Wake In Providence have released their mighty new single 'We Are Eternity', taken from their highly-anticipated new record Eternity, to be released 21st October via Unique Leader Records.
The band comment: "We are so excited to bring you, 'We Are Eternity'! This song really brings more of this story to the table and gives you great insight into who The Trinity is and what role they play in this narrative. Thank you to everyone involved with creating this and to you all for checking it out!"
Formed in 2010 from unremarkable beginnings, A Wake In Providence diligently grew to become the renowned and otherworldly force they are today. Originally a heavier-than-your-average deathcore act, the band’s debut 2010 demo and 2012 debut EP Serpents saw them infusing a raw and ruthless take on traditional deathcore with contemporary metallic elements to make something sharp enough to cut its way through the thicket of bland, boring heavy music acts.
While Serpents gained the band notoriety in their local area, it wasn’t until the release of their sophomore EP, Insidious, that the band went from prodigally talented to true rising stars in the heavy music community. Adding a liberal dose of downtempo deathcore to their instrumental stylings, Insidious earned the band global infamy and critical acclaim, as well as tours with some of the underground’s bigger names-including In Dying Arms, Extortionist and Lorna Shore, as well as several smaller solo runs along the East Coast.
Never ones to remain complacent, A Wake In Providence grew once more in 2016, with the addition of Will Ramos (now with Lorna Shore), but also with their drastic stylistic change, omitting their penchant for low, slow downtempo deathcore in favour of a renewed focus on more aggressive, fast and furious traditional deathcore elements with a razor-sharp technical twist. Combining marvellous metallic riffs with crushing breakdowns and shrill, sinister vocals to create an intense onslaught unlike any other band in the heavy music scene, A Wake In Providence are vile enough to make the sewers look clean, and vicious enough to tear the still-beating heart out of the listener's chest.
Now a quartet with new vocalist Adam Mercer and signing with the legendary Unique Leader Records, A Wake In Providence's status looks set to only rise further.

"'You Will Never Be Our God' shows how diverse our next album will be. But, at the same time, it reflects everything that Xandria stands for, including bombastic film score orchestrations and big choirs!”
Symphonic gothic metal band Belle Morte is proud to present their video for the single "Krew", featuring: Yaroslav Dzhus (bandura), Alex Pilkevych, and Ada Rusinkiewicz (vocals).
The idea of ‘Krew’ appeared in February. When the war began, we were completely devastated and heartbroken. As a Belarusian band, we have strong connections with Ukraine: we have relatives and friends living there, and in general, it was always perceived as somewhat native land to us. Moreover, Belarusian territory was used by the Russian army, horrific betrayal and burden of shame.
We decided to compose this song to reflect our complex feelings and search for some deliverance in art. From the very beginning, we had an intention to show the proximity of 3 languages and 3 cultures, so we’ve also involved Polish and Ukrainian singers Ada Rusinkiewicz (Hethet) and Alex Pilkevych to reflect their own perspectives and Yaroslav Dzhus to recorded bandura, traditional Ukrainian folk instrument. Everyone participating in this project had full freedom to express their feelings. Belarusian lyrics written by Brat K. are focusing on the common pain and grief we experience.
Ukrainian lyrics by Alex reflect on the time in the past when he used to live in Kiev, at the trail to notorious Irpin. In the Polish parts, Ada talks about the duality she’s experiencing in her country. There are a lot of fantastic, helpful people, who are doing their best to help Ukrainians but there are also a lot of insecurities and fear. In the screaming parts, Ada wanted to pay respect to people who are suffering in silence today. One day they will be heard and we hope it will stop trauma from growing.
The song’s title “Krew’ or “Blood” has multiple meanings. It’s about blood bonds that unite us, it’s about the blood of innocent people shed in this treacherous war.
Non Serviam Records is happy to announce the signing of the exciting symphonic black metal band Mist Of Misery from Stockholm, Sweden.
Mist Of Misery was formed by Mortuz Denatus (Vanhelga) in 2010 in the northern suburbs of Stockholm with the vision to create music that was based on melancholy, darkness, depression and atmosphere. The band released the EP "Bleak Autumn" EP, followed by the full-length album by the same name in 2011. The EP "Temple Of Stilled Voices" saw the light of the day in 2013. Mist Of Misery released their second full-length entitled "Abscence" in 2016 which showcased the progression the band had made since their early days. Thanks to its blend of atmospheric black metal and symphonic and depressive elements, the album was very well received around the world getting tremendous reviews. Before its release, Livsnekaren had joined the band on drums and was soon followed by Tenebris (ex-Vanhelga and ex-GRÁ), who joined the band on bass for various live performances and later became a permanent member in 2017.
The band followed up the critically acclaimed album with two EP’s in 2017 entitled "Shackles of Life" and "Fields of Isolation". The following years Mist Of Misery performed at festivals in Bulgaria, Germany and Wales as well as various gigs in their own home country while writing their next album. The epic and grandiose double record "Unalterable" (2019) displayed the band's evolved atmospheric sound. It garnered much praise and paved the way for another evolution in the soundscape of Mist Of Misery, which was made evident when the band began working on a new album, along with the new singer Änglamakaren (Night Crowned).
The writing of their new effort took the band’s symphonic sound to new heights. Mist Of Misery finished the recording of the album in early 2022 and soon signed with Non Serviam Records, with a planned release this Fall.
The band comments on the signing news:
"Mist Of Misery are pleased to announce they have signed with Non Serviam Records for the release of their fourth full-length album this fall, entitled ’Severance’. We look forward to collaborating with such a dedicated and well established label such as Non Serviam Records”.
Ricardo Gelok, Non Serviam Records owner continues:
"I knew the band from their previous releases, and I was really happy they decided to send me their new promo... I really love their musical landscape. The more I listen to the songs the more I discover new things ".
More details about the new album and a first taste of what it has to offer will be unveiled soon.
Hungarian symphonic metal band Meteora have released the music video for "Slave of Creation".
The song taken from the band's 3rd full-length album ...of Shades and Colours, out now via H-Music.
"We are very happy to present to you ’…of Shades and Colours’, the next milestone in the history of the band. We invite you to a musical journey through the thousand faced realm of symphonic metal about the plentiful colours of the world, and endless shades of people. Ranging from the power metal vibes of ’Wings of Rebellion’ and ’Immortal’, through the gothic darkness of ’Danse Macabre’ (ft. Chris Harms from Lord of the Lost), the baroque styled ’Home’, the oriental melodies of ’Voices Within’ to the classic Meteora feel of ’Pests’ we hope you will enjoy the ride. It was a blast working with KVVKamarakórus (choirs) and Ádám Kurucz (guitar solos) again, without them we couldn’t have brought you the songs as they are now."
"Let’s celebrate the release with a music video for one of our favourite tracks off the album, ’Slave of Creation’! One of the last tracks written for the album back in early 2021, its lyrical theme is about how mankind has always limited itself through ever evolving ideas and constructs. During the writing process the song grew out of the male vocals in the second part of the choir. I had Warrel Danes voice in my head and wanted to create something with a little bit of a Nevermore vibe, and thus the guitars became more prominent here than in most of our other works. The video was shot this June with Minusfilm in Budapest."
Better watch out! Napalm Records is beyond proud to announce the signing of Germany's hottest upstarts, League Of Distortion. The rising outfit, featuring Anna Brunner (Exit Eden) and Jim Müller (Kissin' Dynamite, has just inked an official record deal with the premium Austrian rock and metal label!
While the pandemic turned the music business upside down, throwing its shadow upon the entire entertainment scene, musicians were left deep in darkness, forced to be patient and wait – anticipating brighter days to come. Exceptional artist Anna Brunner made use of this difficult time to start a fire with League Of Distortion!
League Of Distortion on the signing:
“The turmoil that is distorting our lives has cast its shadow upon us. But we are finally stepping into the light to share exciting news with you! We have the privilege of announcing that League Of Distortion has been signed by Napalm Records, inviting us to their family of amazing people and bands. We are honoured to be a part of this! There will be so much more to come! Don't miss any proclamations from now on.”
As far back as 2017, Anna Brunner celebrated remarkable international success with her symphonic metal band Exit Eden. Now, she is using the stagnation of the past two years for an entirely new vision, culminating in League Of Distortion. The band processes the uncertainty of this period and its bleak prospects to create tremendously powerful songs – songs that encapsulate this dark and brute reality in a slick and appealing way, sending a cold shiver down the listener’s spine. The elemental force of her distorted, powerful voice merged with chunky riffs played by Jim Müller, steady and strong beats delivered by Tino Calmbach and edgy bass by Felix Rehmann unifies them, forming a strong league birthing a blast of sound that cannot be missed!
Now, League Of Distortion have unveiled their crushing first offering, “Wolf Or Lamb” , consisting of modern, melodic rhythms and technical prowess along with vocal dynamics to drop jaws. The explosive first single comes along with a lavishly staged music video, showcasing that the unit operates not only in terms of sound, but also on a top-notch level visually!
The band adds:
“After working behind closed doors for an exceedingly long time, we are finally breaking free to the world, sharing our first single with you. League Of Distortion is humbly proud and honoured to release the song “Wolf or Lamb”, welcoming you to the League’s universe.”
Stay tuned - more to be announced soon!
Finnish symphonic power metal band Everfrost share brand new single "Flyers" taken from "Frostbites", an EP of anime opening song covers coming out November 2022.
The band adds about the track:
"‘Flyers’ by the band BRADIO became a big hit in the Japanese anime scene when it was used as the opening for cult classic show Death Parade. It’s a song we’ve wanted to cover for a long time because of its infectious groove and anthemic chorus, perfect for Everfrost!
On this song we had the privilege of working with featuring vocalist Rob Lundgren, well-known for his bands Mentalist and Reveal, and vocal work on YouTube. His fun, energetic style was perfect for the track and he gave a great performance!
Aside from arranging the song into a heavier genre, main songwriter Benji wanted to elevate the chorus specifically with a huge vocal sound. This lead to us having the pleasure to work with a group of excellent singers in Finland to provide the large group sound heard on the track. This group consisted of Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast In Black), Bini Silvennoinen (Blame Me!), Mikael Salo (ex-Everfrost, Thy Row, Dyecrest) and Sara Strömmer (Shereign, ex-Fear of Domination).
It’s time to crank ‘Flyers’, put your hands up and have a blast this summer!"
Swedish symphonic progressive metallers Hexed to release their new album "Pagans Rising" on September 30 via ViciSolum Productions!
Hexed are back with their second album “Pagans Rising”. Along with the powerful lead vocals of Tina Gunnarsson, this theme album definitely has great songwriting mixed with strong choruses and male growl. It´s a perfect blend of spellbinding guitar melodies, chugging riffs dark symphonic orchestrations and progressive elements. It has been written with inspiration and history of Sweden’s witch-hunting hysteria in the late 17th century. Behind the unique sound of this masterpiece is the talented mixing/mastering engineer Ronnie Björnström. (Sorcerer, Aeon etc.) This release is a much heavier and darker version of Hexed.
Second single "Resurrection" will be released on August 12!
Hexed is a Swedish symphonic and progressive metal band fronted by the amazing lead vocalist Tina Gunnarsson. It contains thick driving rhythms, melodic orchestrations with dark layers, powerful female vocals and male growl. The band was formed late 2015 by vocalist Tina and guitarist Stellan Gunnarsson, they already had a history in the metal scene and were experienced songwriters.
Since both of them had the source of inspiration from bands such as Queensrÿche, Crimson Glory and Kamelot, their aim was to create music and to focus on strong vocals combined with melodic guitars and progressive elements. Drummer Teddy Möller and Bass player Daniel Håkansson were early chosen to take place and Hexed released the debut single “Dreams” in 2016.
In 2017 the first EP ”Exhaling Life” came out, which ended up signing a worldwide deal with ViciSolum Productions. The debut album “Netherworld” was released in 2018 and received great response from both press, media and fans.
It has resulted in tours and gigs at several clubs and festivals all around Europe and the band have shared stages with many bands such as Leprous, Omnium Gatherum and Harakiri for the Sky among others. Hexed have gained a strong reputation for being a fantastic live act and for always delivering a great live performance. After a couple of changes in the line-up Hexed recruited a second guitarist David Nyman and the drummer Patrick Wahlberg. During the years, the music has grown into a unique sound for Hexed.
“The world will soon be divided in two parts, those who already are Hexed and those who are about to be".
Hungarian symphonic metallers Meteora announce new album “...Of Shades and Colours” to be released in September
Hungarian symphonic metallers Meteora announce new album “...Of Shades and Colours” to be released in September!
The band released a statement about the album:-
“We proudly announce our third studio album "...Of Shades and Colours", being released early September this year!
Featuring 13 tracks in total, including three orchestral intro songs, this album is our most ambitious record so far. Showcasing all the colours of the band we invite our listeners to a journey through power, gothic and death metal all wrapped in heavy orchestration. We expanded on the three vocal setup that we started on "Tragedy oO Delusion", with Noémi being the heart and soul of the music, accompanied by the beastly growls of Máté, and powerful vocals of Atilla. As always the music incorporates grand choirs, delivered this time by KVVKamarakórus, led by the phenomenal Viktor Magyaróvári, and with whom you may be familiar from our re-released version of "Our Paradise".
We had the pleasure to have Chris Harms from Lord Of The Lost as a guest vocalist for the song "Danse Macabre", and our old friend Ádám Kurucz playing the guitar solos on the album. As always the cover artwork was made by our long time graphic designer, István Lajcsák.”
