This song, 'Okami', tells us the story that takes place when 0K4M1 reaches maturity and they begin to worship him as a god. The god of death. They start calling it Okami, which means wolf in Japanese, due to its fierceness and ability to kill. The video was produced and recorded by Guillem Sampedro at Novo Estudios, the same place where the band recorded this album; recorded and produced by Facundo Novo. Persefone online:  The Danish metalcore quintet Wolves Among Us are positively known and recognized for their ability to cleverly and smoothly combine the heavy with the pop-ish. They are now back and ready with the first single 'Calamity', from their coming second album ‘Hollow Gloom’: Guitarist Rune Bohnstedt muses:- “'Calamity' is the perfect image of a dystopian relationship and the realization of how it's better to sometimes give up and move on. Blind Channel were formed in 2013 in the city of Oulu, way up in the North of Finland, by a group of five talented, determined and ambitious friends – vocalists Joel Hokka and Niko Vilheim, drummer Tommi Lalli, guitarist Joonas Porko and bass player Olli Matela. This fivesome has stuck together to this day, in the spirit of the 2018 second album Blood Brothers, each of them collectively responsible for the songwriting. Last year saw the addition of a new member, as long time friend Alex Mattson joined to play keyboard, samples and percussion and completes the current line up. Following the release of their 2020 album Violent Pop, ‘Balboa’ is the band’s latest taste of music from an upcoming album due for release early next year, working with renowned UK producer Dan Lancaster (Blink 182, Bring Me The Horizon, Don Broco).  With Bloodstock 2021 well under way, the festival is thrilled to already be looking ahead and announcing a swathe of bands for the 2022 event, which is set to take place on 11th-14th August 2022 at Catton Park, Derbyshire. Headlining one of the days (tbd) on the Ronnie James Dio main stage will be mighty groove metal overlords, Lamb Of God! Frontman Randy Blythe tells the festival that:- “It’s been way too long since we’ve rocked the festivals of Merry Olde - what better way to announce our return than a headliner slot at Bloodstock? Saturday's main stage headliner will be the previously announced, King Diamond-fronted, heavy metal icons Mercyful Fate, who roll over a year after global issues prevented their appearance at this year’s festival. The band states:- “Mercyful Fate comes to Bloodstock…this will be a dangerous meeting you don’t want to miss. This time we are going to bring the Devil himself.” Also landing main stage slots across the weekend are Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals playing their Pantera set, Dimmu Borgir, Testament, Exodus, Black Dahlia Murder, Gwar (in a UK festival exclusive), Bury Tomorrow, Sacred Reich, Life Of Agony, Butcher Babies, Vio-lence and Bloodywood. Over on the Sophie Lancaster stage, headlining Thursday night are The Night Flight Orchestra and closing out Sunday night will be Static-X, in their only UK show of 2022. Also landing a slot across the weekend are Heathen. Early bird weekend camping tickets are available at the on-site box office across the duration of the 2021 event, then will go on sale online at 9am Monday 16th August, priced at £135 (+ bkg fee) from the ticket store, as well as Serpents Lair VIP tickets, child tickets, and camper van passes (which always sell out very quickly, so don’t snooze if you’re after one). Spanish black / death metal band Barbarian Prophecies will release their new album "Horizon" digitally this month (16th August) and physically in both CD and LP formats (1st November) via the labels base record production, Hecatombe Records, Violence In the Veins and Iron Matron Records). The album will contain 10 songs of which 3 will only be available in digital and in the CD edition. "Horizon" is a conceptual album about the mysteries of man, the origin of the universe and the existence of life in it. The music contains a lot of experimental parts and a mix of diverse styles including passages supported by Synths, but with classic death metal sound.

Recently, the band united international fans in lockdown by asking them to submit a video of themselves performing a signature "stomp" and star in the official "Buried Underground" music video. The album coalesces the band’s growing maturation with an undisturbed songwriting process, resulting in their most inspired, honest and informed material yet. Tangaroa is immersed in important historical accounts and cultural heritage of the Māori people – in addition to lyrics written in te reo Māori, many tracks feature traditional instruments, called taonga puoro, providing the tracks their own warrior-like attitude. Rhythmic, dynamic album opener “Titokowaru” begins with determined rowing chants and depicts the tale of a famous war chief that challenged the colonial government in New Zealand and led a rebel army, backed by quick riffage and driving drums. Following standout “Hatupatu”, inspired by the harrowing, legendary tale of a de Jong ancestor facing off with a witch, is carried by frenzied guitars, spirited chanting and tribal-like percussion. While Alien Weaponry sourced inspiration from their culture and environmental surroundings while writing most of Tangaroa, the band also looked inward – drawing vision for other portions of the album from within. The album dives into some of their most effecting personal experiences, with English-language songs like the pensive “Unforgiving”.
