Founded in 2019 by up-and-coming guitar phenomenon Sonia Anubis (ex-Crypta, ex-Burning Witches), Cobra Spell are slithering their way into the revival era of the 80’s heavy rock sound. Following their globally praised EP’s Love Venom (2020) and Anthems Of The Night (2022), this past October, Cobra Spell's current lineup released a new single “Flaming Heart”.  Swedish retro-influenced heavy metal group The Riven launch "Peace and Conflict"; the fifth and final single as well as the title track of their second studio album. The track is mixed and mastered by Ola Ersfjord, who is known for his work with Tribulation, Lucifer, and Imperial State Electric, to name a few. "Peace and Conflict" moves from psychedelic soundscapes with front woman Charlotta’s vocals in the spotlight into a powerful, energetic finale centered around electrifying guitar arrangements. Titled "Power in Your Hand", the new release features 11 tracks of classic heavy thrash tunes that tackle subjects on society, war, politics and pseudo-psychological concepts. The band comments on some of the tracks that will appear on "Power in Your Hand": "Some of the lyrics are more obvious, such as First to Fight: "Ready to fight, ready to strike...", where it is clearly about the fight, war, and resistance. The song itself is also fast and makes you quickly decide if you don't have time to think about what to do at the moment. The best defence is attack. The track "I Deny" was supposed to be a manifesto of opposition, but due to the quite positive and energetic riff, the message may be perceived differently than intended, but that's good - the track has evolved. Regarding the evolution of the tracks, it is due to the fact that the album was created quite a long time, the tracks just changed over time and just evolved just like us. The subject of the songs is a bit anti-war, a bit anti-political, pseudo-psychological, eccentric, energetically lyrical, trying to force some reflection or reflection alongside hi-speed riffs." Formed in 2015, the band released their debut album Evoke The Blaze in 2018 and thrived as a solid live act in the Finnish rock club circuit. After a small hiatus, due to line-up changes and Covid-19-related cancellations, they are now working on their second album and offer the first taste of what Ratbreed sounds like in 2022. The song was mixed and mastered again at Soundspiral Audio by Swallow The Sun guitarist Juho Räihä. Cover art was made by Petri Lampela and Master Of Deception video by Niko Sihvonen (Rocktografia).
Formed in 2015, Ratbreed have gained a reputation in the Finnish metal scene ever since. After a bunch of gigs and getting enough material, the band was ready to wrap up their debut album. Mixed and mastered by Swallow The Sun guitarist Juho Räihä at Soundspiral Audio, Evoke The Blaze was released via Inverse Records in July 2018, followed by more live shows. In 2019-2020 the band had some line-up changes as guitarist Markus Taipale and bassist Lauri Palmunen decided to part ways, quickly replaced by Fabio de Oliveira and Tatu Nyman. After the mandatory concert break due to Covid-19, the band successfully hit the stages. While still working on the second album, they are ready to present the new single Master Of Deception, released by Wormholedeath.
 Nameless Theory are tremendously happy and proud to announce that they are signing with Wormholedeath Records for the reissue of their debut album “Into the Void”, due for re-release on October 21st, 2022. The band states:- "For a couple of months now we’ve been talking to Carlo and his team at Wormholedeath and the feedback and working relation has been absolutely great, above all of our expectations! For us, it is an opportunity of a lifetime and one which we will not take for granted and work our butts off to make it work. Opportunities like these don’t come around often so we are grateful for the trust and we are sure that this is the start of a great relationship. "Into the Void" was composed between 2013 and 2018. In 2018 we entered the studio to start recording it. The recording process took around one year to be concluded. As for its concept, Into The Void is a dark album as it deals with anxiety, depression, existentialism, and a lot of everyday struggles and events that we have collectively gotten through the years. For this reason, Into the Void is a very personal album and one that we are very proud to have it as our debut. The music was written by all the band members and because of that it mixes a lot of genres and influences, you’ll hear a lot of Iron Maiden vocal lines and guitar melodies, while the guitar and bass riffs may come from bands such as Deftones, Korn but also metalcore acts such as As I lay Dying, which is also a big influence on the drumming in pair with for example Lamb of God. All of this while trying to blink an eye at some prog metal landscapes in terms of song structure and dynamics."
Nameless Theory is a metal band from Pinhal Novo, Portugal formed by Pedro Piedade on lead vocals, Márcio Júnior on bass guitar, André Marques on lead guitar, and Igor Pedroso on drums. Their objective is to bring together both the band and the audience in an engaging environment full of energy and emotion. The band was formed in January 2013 and on April 25th, 2013 the band released their first EP "2013" and spent the following months promoting this work. As the band performed and rehearsed, they matured and changed their musical direction and approach. Bearing this in mind, the band decided to record a second EP called "Ghosts". The EP was recorded in May / June 2015 at "Le Baron Rouge Studios" in Nirvana Studios by producer Tiago Borges (The Royal Blasphemy) and released on October 17th, 2015. In September 2018 the band entered Ultrasound Studios in Moita to start recording their first album, which ended up being titled “Into the Void”. Produced by Igor Azougado (Shivers) this work presents itself as a solid summary of the band's years as musicians and people. The album was released independently on February 8, 2020, followed by 4 promotion concerts until an abrupt halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2022 the band signed with the label Wormholedeath to the rerelease of “Into The Void”, an amazing opportunity and partnership that for sure will help Nameless Theory step up their game. With concerts played all over Portugal in great venues such as "Paradise Garage", "Stairway Club", "Popular Alvalade", "Festival Bardoada, and AJCOI" as well as being the opening act for the bands "Ash Is a Robot" and " O Bisonte", Nameless Theory wants to be one of the next great metal bands to come out of Portugal!  Iraqi thrash metallers Dark Phantom unveil their new single and lyric video "Courtship Of Death". Dark Phantom’s idea began in Kirkuk, Iraq late in 2007. The impression was to reach their dreams in western music, to express the inferior circumstances in the city, and explain it to the universe. But things weren’t able to progress due to the bad situation in Iraq, that led to postponement of forward progress and a period of hibernation, for their safety. In 2008, the band was able to start up again and started rehearsal despite all the dangers. In 2009, the band managed to have a birth of their own music, by starting to write the first songs after many months in rehearsal. In 2011, the band played their first concert in the city of Kirkuk and It was unforeseen. Under the same circumstances (volatile aggression, anti-metal music “laws”, etc.) a crowd came to see them and news of event rocked the small city. After a lot of demand from the fans on the band's Facebook page for a second concert, in 2011 Dark Phantom was ready, but there was another situation that made it impossible. Terror groups and their allies began threatening to close all the of band's pages on the internet and the band was also warned, again to stop their activities, or else. And in a short time, they made their 1st original Album “Nation of Dogs”, which in the band’s and their fan’s eye was a complete success.
