English symphonic folk metal clan Bring To Bear reveal second new single "Time To Burn" with music video
English symphonic folk metal clan Bring To Bear reveal second new single "Time To Burn" with accompanying lyric video.
A powerful start with a tense anticipation is followed by a single growled word - “Ignite”. Guitars lead the way with a strong riff before the drums and bass kicks in for the verse. “Burn” is the call with growls, answered by the sweet tones of clean female vocals. The chorus follows, giving more space to the clean vocals with support from accordion and the power of the metal pack.
The chorus is followed by a playful accordion instrumental like flames dancing, before going back to the call-and-response verse. The second chorus is doubled, reinforcing the message, and ends with the title phrase “It’s time to burn” as the powerful intro comes back heralding the breakdown.
The breakdown is big and seems to have a magnetic pull that gets the listener to head bang with it. Growls return over the breakdown like flames roaring, leading the way to the guitar solo. The solo ends with a feeling of release into the bridge, like the passion spoken of through the lyrics being set free.
The final chorus is followed by an accordion solo and a reintroduction of the dancing flames instrumental with guitars and accordion harmonising this time.
The song’s lyrics are about the passion we feel inside us, the fire within that gives us meaning. We can feel it inside, a powerful force when it is unleashed. It’s time to follow the passion and let the flames rise up within. It’s time to burn.

Bring to Bear band members:
Bring To bear is a symphonic folk metal band from England, on an adventure of making metal with meaning and looking to inspire others along the way. The idea came to life during lockdown in May 2020 by long-time friends and bandmates Hristo Nikolov and Ian Tarboton. They quickly put together their first material and set about expanding the clan. One by one the band came together, each with the same desire and a unique set of skills and stories.
Bring To Bear combines the ethereal tones of lead singer Izabela Smyt with the harsh growls of keyboard-accordionist Ian Tarboton, using the raw power of drummer Simon Jones as the backbone for a solid metal pack comprising guitarists Hristo Nikolov and Nik Rotas, and bassist Richard Knight. Guitars swap between lead and rhythm, often play-fighting with accordion, to create strong melodies and plenty of opportunities to head-bang.
Bring To Bear seeks authenticity and meaning through music that gives a feeling of adventure, discovery, and courage. They love the adventure of going after their dreams and inspiring others to do the same. For Bring To Bear this is the music, but what will their music inspire you to do?
The debut EP, "Light and Shadow", contains three songs and was released on 08 October 2021. Two singles followed this - Rising Tide, released on 04 March 2022, and Time to Burn, released on 27 May 2022.
Canadian Black Metal trio Liminal Shroud will release their 2nd album All Virtues Ablaze on August 5 via Willowtip Records. The album will be available on digipak, vinyl LP, and digital formats.
Liminal Shroud prepared the following statement concerning the album:
"Our second album, All Virtues Ablaze, takes the vision set forth on our debut and executes with greater intensity, song craft and performance. Written and recorded between 2019 and 2021, this album represents and captures a process of rejection, annihilation and regeneration of the self and contemplates the cyclical forces of futility that shape our condition.
Musically, All Virtues Ablaze is a major development on our previous album, taking the emotive atmospherics, searing melodicism and bitter fury found on Through the False Narrows to new heights. We are very proud of the compositional strength and impact of these four songs.
Lyrically, we delve deeper into the themes of hopelessness and despair, resolve and transformation present on our previous release, sharpened in the perception of emptiness yet with an eye to the vast reaches and sources of solace to be found above, below and around us. Again, the unyielding tides and otherworldly expanses of the coast provide much inspiration.
This release is our next statement and beginning. We find our virtue in the blaze."
A distant mechanical sound is getting louder from afar and heralds the arrival of exciting happenings - throwing their shadows on this fateful day of September 2nd. It's the day that the metal legend Blind Guardian will release their eleventh studio album The God Machine via Nuclear Blast and erects a new monument of their outstanding career.
Hansi Kürsch comments:-
“We didn't want to rehash our qualities from 1995, but didn't want to continue down this complex path forever either. The God Machine is a new beginning for us. We’ve set a new course and gone back to certain things that we’ve neglected a bit on the last few albums.”
The God Machine marks another pinnacle in Blind Guardian’s impressive discography by not attempting to pretend it is still the nineties yet instead successfully relying on the muscle memory of this period. It is a gripping, addictive, and brilliantly arranged album in the tradition of records with which Blind Guardian reached for the stars in the 90s; yet, by no means, is it a throwback. The God Machine represents the heart and soul of Blind Guardian’s timeless metal in the here and now, unifying the bards’ past, present, and future secrets in one consistent, well-thought-out masterpiece.
Together with the announcement, the band shares a video for their new raging single 'Blood Of The Elves', a galloping anthem that is destined to become a live staple.
Singer Hansi Kürsch comments:
"'Blood Of The Elves' features a pretty heavy side that the avid fan of Blind Guardian hopefully enjoys. More than enjoys, I'd guess. Instrumentally, the track has some kind of an early nineties appeal that blends well into the vocal parts of the opera/twist era and catapults both epochs into a new era for the band. A perfect hybrid. The chorus has some very strong sing-along vibes, despite its complexity. What else do you need? Inspired by the 'The Witcher' computer game series, the lyrics even reinforce the power of this banger and the clip by Dirk Behlau fits perfectly to the whole setting. Let me tell you: The God Machine has even more to offer. And that's no promise - that's the ultimate truth. Stay tuned."
Czech symphonic metal discovery After Evolution have signed a licensing deal with Wormholedeath for their album "War Of The Worlds", which is due for release on June 17th, 2022.
The band have released this statement, history of the band and video (as below):-
"You may ask, "who are they? where did they come from?" and the answer is simple, we came here to the earth from far away, to tell you the story about our world and how we have been born in this one.
Each of us have been reborn in different year, different time, under the different star, moon and sun to connect our destinies in one.
We are the storytellers, ancestors, wanderers of the universe and time, the artists carrying bond between the melodies of the dark and light, death and life, hope and despair and fire and ice...
We are the After Evolution.
The way of finding each other was not easy at all. Everything started one day, when Nikolette met Michael. They knew their meeting meant much more but for the whole reveal of the truth they needed to find the remaining two reborn.
It was the year of 2013 when Nikolette and Michael started with collecting the shards of memories before the big reborn. Piece by piece and part by part of single memory has been written into melody and poetry connected in one. Nikolette and Michael met a lot of souls astray but neither one was the one of the reborn. So after some time they just went by their own path of life.
When the year of 2016 appeared, Michael and Nikolette decided to reveal the part of their threnodies to the world. People loved their melodies accompanied with ancient stories of the other world so they continued with writing more and more of their story. Also by the end of the same year Nikolette with Michael found the third reborn named Adam, so they continued they journey side by side. The melodies of past have been spread really fast so a lot of big and well known collectors of great ancient stories, art and melodies wanted to help to the After Evolution on their path and spread their stories to whole the world. So Nikolette, Michael and Adam with another soul astray agreed and decided to travel to the great Italy to imprint their story connected with dark melodies and ancient power into memory of the world forever.
It was the year of 2018, the hot summer days, when After Evolution finished the big reveal of the truth and with last drop of the ink on the paper they finished the last note in the big part of their story and their past. Unfortunately that soul astray was not ready for the journey of the After Evolution, so he left when he saw the path and went his own way. The path got really complicated. But they didn't give up and continued on their way even if it was full of thorns and pain. They followed their destiny.
On their journey to imprint their story written in melodies to eternity of the world, they met a brave traveller named Ilya, who helped them to finish the rest of their journey and fight the monsters along the way. At the end of the path, he went his own way and After Evolution went on the expedition to find the last lost reborn. The missing piece of the After Evolution.
Later that year of 2018 the fourth lost reborn, Vitek has been found and continued his journey along with the rest of the reborn, After Evolution and their destiny have been fulfilled. They were able to connect all the shards of their memories and finish the story of the ancient world they came from. They found out who they truly are and about their true abilities.
With the time going by, there were a lot of thieves of ancient art who wanted to steal some of their magic and treasures they had, but it never really happened, the things got just a little bit complicated during the protection of their secrets. After Evolution finished their whole story and they have collected and connected with their ancient power all shards of memories together. All that creation was so exhausting for them that After Evolution fell into the deep rest and recovery to gain the energy again and summon all the power and inspiration back to them. When the dark times disappeared, After Evolution, with clear mind and full of energy were ready to accept their destiny and share their story with the world and spread the enchanting melodies again.
With year of 2022 they shared with the world the story about the big war from the ancient world and the war of the worlds chants floated by the world."
Music inspiration :
"My inspiration is in epic orchestral music like movie or game soundtracks for example - Two steps from hell, Audiomachine, Hans Zimmer, Ivan Torrent etc. I was fascinated by Evanescence, Nightwish, Within Temptation and Epica because they connected the orchestras and the metal elements and I really liked that. So I knew I wanted to play symphonic metal but more symphonic, more like epic orchestral metal, so every instrument like guitars, drums and also vocals are composed on the orchestral base not the opposite."
"Everyone was asking us "what does AFTER EVOLUTION means?" and I didn't know why they are asking me that to be honest because I have never saw asking someone Nightwish what their name means. But I told myself „okay, I will give my band the meaning“ and I created a whole story about who we are and what is our music about. I love fantasy stories and most of my time I am in clouds with my head so why not. So I started to creating a storyboard and slowly connecting the story with the music."
"I created whole the story in about 2 weeks and then the music work was next on the list, so I have separated the parts of the story to 11 sections to create 11 music parts for the album. I stopped at each section and imagined the feelings of the main character, the environment and what is happening and I tried to feel everything as if I was there to match the music and orchestras with that feeling of the story. When I have created the orchestras I had already in my head the melody of the vocals and some idea how the guitars and drums should sound. When that was ready I came back to the paper sheet where I have written what is this part about and I’ve started with writing the lyrics. It is really my favourite part because I love writing in contrasts if it is possible and some poetic riddles to think about for example : „red roses are falling down on the cold white snow“ means in my style of writing : falling blood on the ground – I really love making that kind of texts if I have a space for that. Some texts are just describing what is happening and the story and some are more poetic, it really depends on the mood of the song. So that is how I am developing and making the music and its concept etc."
Los Angeles symphonic prog metallers Anthea announce their return in 2022 with their sophomore album "Tales Untold" to be released once again via Rockshots Records this coming August to follow their 2020 debut "Illusion".
For the new album, Anthea has taken the reigns for a more DIY approach with vocalist Diego Valadez taking over also as the full-length's producer along with bassist Eric “EJ” Guerrero in charge of music videos and photography.
Diego Valadez comments:-
“We released our debut album in 2020, but were, unfortunately, like everyone else, unable to tour or play live gigs. However, this gave us a lot of extra time to really craft this follow-up album into something special. Tales Untold was written and recorded throughout 2021 and I am so proud of the end result.”
Fans of Anthea's first album "Illusion" will enjoy this one even more. The difference with this next record is that Anthea has a more mature sound and has carefully thought out the ebb and flow throughout it. Their end goal is to give a very dynamic and cinematic album in which the listener feels as though they’ve gone through a grand musical journey once they’ve reached the end.
"We also wanted to create a sense of escapism while keeping one fit in the real world lyrically."
Today in preview of the album, the band is sharing with fans a new music video for its title track. The opening song is about how art inspires new generations of art forms whether it be novels, music, movies, poetry, etc.
I just find the interconnectivity of it all fascinating. This song itself wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the music that we were influenced by, and their music wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for what they were listening to, and so on and so on.“ says Valadez.

Metalcore band One Missing Link returns with a fresh new music video for 'Shadows Inside'. Since their last creative effort "The Monstrosity" featuring vocalist Nikan Nasim and guitarist Mahan Abdollahi, One Missing Link has become a quartet with the addition of drummer Kiumars Saffari and bassist, Nima Mohammadi.
Shadows Inside Out Now Via Tough Sounds: https://fanlink.to/shadowsinside
One Missing Link's latest creative effort 'Shadows Inside' deals with the concept of duality within the human consciousness and how the conscious and usually the righteous 'self' converses with the invariably corrupt 'spectre' who creeps up on the 'self' with intrusive and usually destructive thoughts.
Some words about 'Shadows Inside' by vocalist Nikan:
“This song is about a conversation with a half-life spectre of our own self within the heart; it’s the part of us that desires evil things; should you ever succumb to it, it leaves you with the consequences. But the truth is, you control both "yourself" and the "spectre,"; this begs the question, how can we overwhelm all these temptations in our daily lives? This song calls for a victory rush against all the black dots inside our personalities that could blacken our hearts.”
'Shadows Inside' was mixed and mastered by Finnish producer "Joonas Vuojolahti" at Cold Truth Music Studio and was released through Tough Sounds. The music video of 'Shadows Inside', which premiered on Spaceuntravel, was filmed and edited by "Amirhosein Esmaeili"/
Devastating metalcore grooves with post hardcore sensibilities, One Missing Link prove themselves to be the Iranian representatives of the new wave of core.
Coloured by the integrity of outfits like Wage War, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Motionless in White, One Missing Link combines the extremity of rusty metalcore noises with the fragility of unstable apperception.
The band's initial inception started with vocalist Nikan Nasim and guitarist Ali Mostanbet's cover of the Architects song 'Royal Beggars' in 2020. They released their first original single, "Shivers," a year later, after the departure ofAli Mostanbet.
After signing with the first Iranian Metal Label Tough Sounds, One Missing Link made a comeback with the release of "The Monstrosity," and "Shadows Inside" from their upcoming EP 'The Other Side'.

Colorado-based metalcore band Mouth For War have shared the video for the brand new song "Reshaped" at Knotfest.com
Watch it here and here.
Vocalist Trae Roberts shares:-
"This is our first new material drop since the release of our debut album Life Cast In Glass, which turned one year old just two weeks ago. This hard-hitting track is dedicated to the life of my late sister, Sophie, and touches on themes of loss, grief, and mental health."
Formed in 2019 by members of Bruise and Remain and Sustain, Mouth for War hit the ground running with the release of their debut EP, An Ear Kept to the Ground, and multiple tours. The band offers its own take on classic hardcore and metal, which sounds like Kickback and Sentence with a smooth modern twist of influences from Lamb of God and The Devil Wears Prada.

Five-piece metal band Sickseed, are gearing up for the release of their debut LP ‘Goregeous’ – a ten track horror movie tribute album, that will bring the listeners into a dark and gloomy place. Today they present their third and final single ‘Facehugged’ - a tribute to Ridley Scott's 'Alien' & James Cameron's 'Aliens', but also to the one and only Bill Paxton. Check out the accompanying lyric video above.
Vocalist Dennis Pedersen muses:-
“'Facehugged' pays homage to the first two installments of the 'Alien' franchise, and was written to honour the memory of the legendary Bill Paxton, may he rest in peace! Ridley Scott made history with Alien in ‘79, and James Cameron took the story of Ellen Louise Ripley and the terrifying Xenomorph to a whole new level with the release of Aliens in ‘86. You would be hard pressed to find a more impactful creature in movie history. With 'Facehugged', we attempted to match the aggressive nature of the Xenomorph by delivering a track that mixes speedy, atmospheric and heavy parts into one chronicle, told from the perspective of a facehugger victim and the horrors that bursts from his chest”,
Since being formed, the band has released their EP ‘The Saints of Hatred’ (2010) and played countless shows on the Danish underground metal scene with bands such as Illdisposed, Nothing Noble, a.o. After over a decade of line-up changes and a hiatus, they are now back and, more than ever, ready to present their new album ‘Goregeous’. The upcoming full-length album has been produced by Tue Madsen and is set to be released on June 10.
The new single 'Facehugged' is already available on all streaming services.
Thirst of Faust is a Death Metal band all the way from Kolkata, India. Keeping storytelling in the forefront, the band tries to incorporate technical guitarworks mixed with heavy grooves and powerful drumming. Musically experimental, the band strives to bring together emotional, yet brutal music and folklore appealing to both metal enthusiasts and as well as those who appreciate the lore of music.
The newest track "Aftermath", which follows the sophomore track "Mephisto" presents brutal dark torment, heard through the music of the band itself. Aiming to take the listeners on a sonic adventure through literature and periods, the band released "Mephisto" which marked the beginning of an epic interpretation of the ever famous tale of Faustus by Goethe. The upcoming single "Aftermath" dots the conclusion of the epiphany faced by Faustus from the perspective of the band, delving deep into a mind riddled with schizophrenia. "Aftermath" recreates the troubled mind through uncanny guitars and erratic vocals from the entire band.
Through their music, Thirst of Faust batters the listener both musically and lyrically, blast beats set the pace for epic lyrics presented in both guttural and clean fashion that focus on relatable situations.
The band shares their process:
"After developing the frightening tale of the rise to power of Faust in "Mephisto", "Aftermath" depicts the downfall of our protagonist in physical, emotional and mental aspects. Each song acts as a chapter in our musical story. The lyrics represent personal events and emotions and then we wrap these experiences through our eerie music".
"It's a much-awaited conclusion to an epic tale!" - Robby Dutta (Vocalist)
Atmospheric and driving, the medley of blast beats, chugging bass, and heavily distorted solos will be both intense and immersive. Thirst of Faust is recommended for fans of Alkaloid, Alluvial, Death and Cynic (Progressive/Technical Death Metal in general).
