Carach Angren comment:-
"We proudly present you 'Der Vampir von Nürnberg', taken from our upcoming album. The song is a sub-story connected to the overarching horrifying concept on the album. Welcome to the world of a gruesome killer and vampiric necrophiliac dabbling in the wickedness of the occult!"
Please note that the release date was changed due to the COVID-19 situation. The new and correct release date is June 26, 2020
The Dutch masters of horror are back with their most flamboyant album so far. On 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus', Carach Angren resurrect the gruesome story of troubled soul ‘Conrad Dippel’; the inspiration of Mary Shelly’s novel 'Frankenstein'.
Carach Angren have extended all the sonic colours on their established palette to dazzling effect. Their trademark whipping guitars are weaving harsh melodies and sinister soundscapes, which are beautifully contrasted by opulent keyboards and majestic orchestrations. That Till Lindemann (RAMMSTEIN) and Peter Tägtgren (PAIN) have called upon the composition talent of Clemens "Ardek" Wijers is a telling sign of his outstanding mastery of the craft. Another signatory counterpoint is provided by Seregor's fierce rasping and shrieking vocals. Adding to the impact, Namtar has become a relentless driving force with his hart hitting yet intricate drumming. Each track on this album is a highlight on its own, while combined 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus ' simply shines.

CARACH ANGREN set out to tell ghost-stories with a set of paranormal cases recorded on the demo 'The Chase Vault Tragedy' (2004). This was soon followed by the official release of the 'Ethereal Veiled Existence' EP (2005) as a prelude to the haunting 'Lammendam' (2008). The Dutch had a clear vision of combining a dark baroque style of metal with horror based lyrical concepts. Their second full-length 'Death Came through a Phantom Ship' (2010) witnessed the band setting sail to bring their eccentric and capturing live performances to audiences and festivals all over Europe. In the wake of third album 'Where the Corpses Sink Forever' (2012), the haunting had reached the Americas and started to spread rapidly. This record added a serious side to the lyrics of CARACH ANGREN. While firmly remaining in the horror genre, their tales revolve around the evils of war. This mature streak was taken a step further with the fourth full-length 'This Is No Fairytale', which is on the surface a darker variation of the "Hansel and Gretel" story from the Brothers Grimm collection, but also deals with the too real topic of child abuse in a dysfunctional family. With ‘Dance And Laugh Amongst The Rotten’ (2017), the band returned to pure story telling with episodes that are centred on a girl playing a little too long with her Ouija board.
Now, Carach Angren return with the monster ‘Franckensteina Strataemontanus’, where the Dutch have pushed their unashamedly theatrical style to a new intense height. You do not believe us yet? Press play and have your soul transferred with this new elixir of life!
Just days away from kicking off their North American tour, Wednesday 13 and his boo crew have debuted a new lyric video for the latest single, 'Monster' (Feat. Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil) from their recently released album, 'Necrophaze,' that is available now from Nuclear Blast Records.

“'Monster' is the 1st Wednesday 13 song recorded to feature guest vocals. I wanted something different than I had ever tried before and I wanted a female vocalist. Cristina was the perfect choice for this song. I gave her the lyrics and some minor details, and she came back with what you hear. She totally floored us with her amazing vocal range and adding a new element never heard on one of our songs before.” – Wednesday 13
“This collaboration was born from blackness. Wednesday and I are both fans of the darkest vision of art and music, and when I was asked to sing with him for the song 'Monster', I immediately visualized his concept and shared it with pleasure. What I love about this song is that some people in life are taking the worst out of us... but demonizing it all and pushing away the tension through notes is the best thing to do.” – Cristina Scabbia
Wednesday 13’s 8th studio album, 'Necrophaze,' is available now from Nuclear Blast Records. Featuring special guest appearances from, Alice Cooper, Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour), Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom), Jeff Clayton (GG Allin’s Murder Junkies) and Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) among others, 'Necrophaze' shocks and surprises with a cauldron of monster riffs and haunting lyrics and have listeners yearning for more.
Heavily influenced by real-life night terror occurrences of Wednesday himself, historical serial killers, and a slew of 80’s horror films, the ideas behind 'Necrophaze' are bizarrely familiar, frightening, and a hell of a lot of fun. Being a collector of both media and toys, Wednesday 13 was inspired by a craving for variety to create dual album artwork for this release (seen below). The covers showcase either end of the horror spectrum with a 'Creepshow' comic book vibe for the LP artwork, and the eeriness of something akin to John Carpenter’s 'The Fog' adorning the CD.
It's Halloween! And what better way to celebrate this event with a studio announcement from the masters of horror themselves; Carach Angren! The band is currently in studio for the recordings of their 6(66)th full length which, will be released via Season of Mist in 2020. Drummer Namtar has kicked off the recording last week at the Tidal Wave Studio in Germany.
Carach Angren comment:-
"After many incredible tours meeting our dedicated fans around the globe, we finally return to the studio! Over the past two years a lot of creativity and effort has already flown into preparing our sixth monstrous full length album. For recording drums, bass and guitars we return to familiar grounds, working with the talented Patrick Damiani at his Tidal Wave Studio in Germany while vocals and orchestral arrangements are being prepared in our own crypt. For the mix of the album we welcome a new force, namely Robert Carranza (Marilyn Manson), who's work up until now has impressed us very much. Get ready for another chapter of horror!"

Canadian horror inspired symphonic power metallers Malacoda (named after a demon from Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’) return with their new six track EP 'Ritualis Aeterna' out now as of December 2nd. The EP is the follow up to their well-received 2014 self-titled debut album. Packed with dark atmosphere, originality and innovation, this is gothic power metal for the 21st century with intelligence and intensity to rival that of their infernal inspirations!
Vocalist Lucas Di Mascio comments on the EP:
"After a long journey filled with equal measures of happiness and misery, large helpings of hope and despair, and a pinch of euphoria and rage.... we can finally say "It's here!" Enjoy the tracks, and we'll see you on the road soon.... These six tracks are full of character and are definitely a sign of things to come."
'Ritualis Aterna' is now available digitally on iTunes and on CD at MalacodaMetal.com plus can be heard in full stream at http://www.malacodametal.com/music.
Plus the band's new music video inspired by the since canceled Showtime TV show by the same name 'Penny Dreadful' can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTJfr292o7g.
The video was directed, produced and edited by The Laundry Design Works. The song explores the themes of the show, each section of the song being a different character's personal struggles. Just as the show paid homage to horror's roots, the band's music video pays respects to classic horror films, using only practical effects to achieve everything from the dark corruption of the blood in the veins of the possessed woman, to the sped up and jerky motions the band members display as the song crescendos.
Eternal Halloween are about to raise eyebrows within religious establishments following their ‘controversial’ depiction of Christ as his evil counterpart. The band has released its debut music video ‘Eternal Halloween’ - a clear invitation into their reign...
Lead by Dave Devil the members of this anonymous group are ft to be described as condemned souls leading their own revolution against modern society and religious establishments. Not much of a surprise as Jesus Christ is depicted by Dave Devil in a re-enactment
of his cruxifction:
“Praying has never solved my problems anyhow…life gets tougher with the weak killing them by getting sick”.
They are neither the frst nor the last band within the Metal scene which is bound to fuel
the controversy between Metal music and the religious groups which oppose the genre.
Check their self-titled music video below
Regardless of which side you are on, Metal music has on multiple occasions being accused for putting religious topics into question and what is largely ignored within this argument is the fact that most metal bands use the imagery and themes of multiple religions and occult practices yet in obedience to none. Ghost have been described as "Grammy Winning Satanic Band” whilst according to The Guardian over 6,000 residents of Wales and England register their religion as “heavy metal”.
With heavy riffs, catchy choruses and theatrics inspired by an amalgamation between Rammstein and Rob Zombie, Eternal Halloween invite you to give in to your desires, embrace your sins and feast with them on the eve of your last supper.Sit back and enjoy the ride, it will get bumpy, so you better hang tight….
