Genre-merging Amberian Dawn does not shy away from experimenting with musical styles and combining nostalgic earworms with their dashing trademark sound. With their newest single “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” vocalist Capri’s angelic voice merges with electrifying soundscapes to transform this ABBA classic into a metal experience never heard before. The track comes with an exciting lyric video and is cut from their upcoming covers album, bringing world famous songs by the legendary ABBA into the metal world. Take A Chance – A Metal Tribute to ABBA will be released on December 2, 2022 via Napalm Records. Following their passion, this album pays tribute to one of their biggest inspirations and ushers in the dawn of an entirely new spin on the metal genre. Tuomas Seppälä on the new single: “This was an easy and obvious pick for this album. The song is a true masterpiece. It was easy to arrange into a metal version. For a while, I considered replacing the famous keyboard lead intro with guitar, but quite soon I wanted to keep the lead part played with keyboards. It gives more ABBA feeling to the song. Capri sings amazingly, once again. And for the very first time, we had a chance for our bassist to play slap bass in the middle part of the song. It's rarely heard in metal music.” Pre-order the new album NOW! In the following formats: 1 LP Gatefold Gold 1 CD - Digisleeve Digital Album Amberian Dawn are:-
Brisbane blackened thrash / death metal act Idle Ruin have dropped a brand new single titled "Delta Hexatoxin". Which was premiered by Metal.de & Heavy Blog Is Heavy. Check out the single on digital platforms and the video here: https://youtu.be/nZUKXLTD7XY. The track comes off an upcoming full-length album which the band have been busy working on through out 2022 with Brendan "Pip" Auld at Black Blood Audio who also recorded their first EP and the split release "Malefactors" with Germany's Boundless Chaos. On the concept of the song, the band states: "The song's about the bad apple spoiling the bunch, how one individual's actions can potentially ruin a larger group from the inside out. "Delta Hexatoxin" is the compound within the venom of funnel-web spiders, which can impair one's nervous system once infused." 2022 has been a busy year for Idle Ruin. The Brisbane heavy hitters released a split EP with Germany's Boundless Chaos titled "Malefactors" and performed at Adelaide's New Dead Festival alongside Psycroptic, Lo!, In Malice's Wake and more. "Now with gigs returning full-time we've been spending October doing a tour of Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and a return to Adelaide" comments the band. "It's been great finally getting to play to these crowds who've been calling for us to come and play since we started the band. As soon as the tour is done, our main priority will be getting the album out." Line-Up:
Idle Ruin was formed by Liam Anthony, who for several years has played drums for numerous Australian thrash and death metal bands (Malakyte, Spektre, Decapitated Mum). While Australia’s live metal scene was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Liam made use of the lockdown time to write songs for his own studio project Idle Ruin. In 2021, Idle Ruin evolved into a fully fledged band with guitarist Kaleb Doherty (Feculent, When Death Replaces Life) and bassist Tim Maastricht (Wartooth, Kaustic Attack). The Intense new track titled "Fight Alone," from alternative metal band, Motive Black (AFM Records) is out now. Produced by Grammy-winner Nick Rowe (Bloodsimple, Vampire Weekend), the track showcases the vocal prowess of frontwoman Elana Justin, and features Ray Luzier (Korn) on drums and Nick Rowe on guitar, bass and co-songwriting credits. "This song is about losing yourself in passion," Elana Justin says. "Attraction is a powerful thing, it can be amazing, but also vicious. It can engulf you, and cloud your mind, but also awaken you in ways you never thought possible. Everything feels dangerous and so alive." She adds: "This song was super intense to create. It’s dark, vivid, and emotional. I felt really raw and almost animalistic when I was writing it. When Ray came in and added drums it brought everything to a new level that I believe only he is capable of tapping into." Ray Luzier says "Elana’s a very powerful, emotional singer. Her aggressive yet dynamic lyrics are refreshing to hear. I think this record is gonna turn a lot of heads. We really need great, fresh-sounding, new music like Motive Black, now more than ever!!" The track will be on the upcoming album titled Auburn. Justin says " Auburn is named for my sister who unfortunately passed away. She had beautiful auburn hair. Losing her forced me to reexamine my life and make significant changes. I went through a huge transitional period which included both ugly and beautiful experiences. The album is a wild ride through that journey of anger, mania, deep love, and self discovery." "Fight Alone" was produced at the legendary NRG Studios in North Hollywood, Calif. by Grammy-winning Nick Rowe (Vampire Weekend, Lamb Of God, Madonna, Snoop Dogg) and mixed by Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Korn, Papa Roach). Motive Black will appeal to fans of Evanescence, Delain, Follow The Cypher, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, New Years Day, In This Moment, Shinedown. The single is also available on Bandcamp and Spotify. Ninth Realm will release debut full-length album A Fate Unbroken November 4 on Mercenary Press. The album is a perfect blend of of crossover thrash and traditional heavy metal that represents the band's refined vision. A Fate Unbroken is a nine-track album that takes the influence of the widest range of heavy metal, 80s-toned thrash, death thrash, and hardcore that the decisive genres have to offer. Not only do the riffs, consistent guitar solos, and blackened vocals take the listener through a whirlwind of Slayer/Demolition Hammer era thrash metal, but the lyricism and quintessential raw fantasy style of their art and themes harken back to a Frank Frazetta / Ralph Bakshi age of pure Sword & Sorcery. A Fate Unbroken, for all intents and purposes, is a Maryland band’s attempt to bring a reunion of heavy metal and hardcore punk back to its raw, old-school roots. Basing their lyricism and overall theme around the original fantasy realm of Tythorin, Ninth Realm delivers an electrifying synthesis of traditional heavy metal and hardcore punk for fans of both respective genres to enjoy. Pulling from a range of influences that span everything between blackened thrash to old-school death metal, the music of Ninth Realm rips and tears with a ferocity and cadence that perfectly encapsulates the epic scale and grisly atmosphere of grim-dark fantasy. Between the use of aggressive thrash d-beat and viscerally direct song structure of classic metal acts such as Celtic Frost, combined with the melodic riffage of classic bands like Testament / Mercyful Fate, and an added twist of Cro-Mags/Leeway style crossover, Ninth Realm wields what is perhaps one of the most poignant new sounds to emerge from the metal underground in recent memory.
Pre-Order: ninthrealmmd.bandcamp.com/album/a-fate-unbroken Sharing a bond for all things heavy metal and high fantasy, college classmates Joey Burke (drummer) and Liam McMahon (lead guitarist) joined forces in the fall of 2018, writing and practicing every week to produce the 2019 demo, Gates of Tythorin. Later adding Jared Henry (bassist) and Ben Hageage (vocalist) to the mix, Ninth Realm solidified their sound with their succeeding 2020 EP, All Hail Treachery. In 2022, to offer a glimpse at what is to come with their debut LP, Ninth Realm released Ondreis MMXXII, a promo tape featuring two songs that both share a track space on the debut full-length record.

"You Will Fear My Hate" is a track taken from Condemned AD's upcoming album “Follow a Failing Leader”, due for release on September 23rd, 2022 via Wormholedeath worldwide. Hailing from Hammarö, Värmland in Sweden, thrash metal outfit Condemned-AD is forging a new future after a dark past. Active in the Swedish metal scene in the early 90s, Condemned-AD’s sound was formed amidst a characteristic brutal wave of metal. Influenced by the likes of Motörhead, Megadeth, Venom, Tankard, and Slayer, Condemned-AD writes music about personal experiences of depression, the problem of human stupidity as expressed through today’s social media, and the struggles we all face despite our shared fate of death and decay. The band has released three EPs—“Until Death ends It All” (2016), “Will I Cheat Death One More Day” (2017), and “Time Waits For No One” (2018). In this new album “Follow a Failing Leader” the lyrics reflect the harsh reality through the eyes of us as a band today but also cover a dark past. We are a Thrash-Metal band with influences from all decades and styles in Thrash metal music. Band line up in the studio on this album:
Israeli technical death metal sensations Prey For Nothing release 'The Sword Devours' lyric video23/8/2022 Israeli technical death metal heroes Prey For Nothing return with their most conceptual and creative album yet: "Kivshan", due for re-release on September 9th, 2022 via Wormholedeath. 'The Sword Devours' is taken from Kivshan - Furnace in Hebrew - and it is one of our most ambitious songs yet, both musically, lyrically, and thematically. We hope you'll enjoy it!" 'The Sword Devours' is a song depicting the history of the Hebrew and Jewish people, not in the warm light of tradition but in the echoes of war and death. We, the Jewish people, like to think of ourselves as 'People of the holy book', who abhor violence and promote peace since the days of Jacob and Josef - but this isn't the entire picture. Our true history is filled with warfare and bloodshed, from ancient times to modern ones. The biblical phrase, "Shall the Sword Devours Forever?" (Samuel 2, 2:26) is spoken by Abner before he was executed for treason against the house of King David. And it rings till this day. We cannot claim to strive for peace with implements of war. If we won't stop the endless cycle of violence - no one will. And this is the lesson we, one of the oldest people in the world, can easily say we take many pains to learn for all nations out there. War is never the answer. Violence is never the answer. War will not bring peace. Don't let those swords devour us all. Line up:

Almost a year after their first full-length album "Valley Of The Kings", the Swiss old school metallers Crashtime have released their new single / video 'Black Tied Deceiver'. As usual, Crashtime offer full concentrated metal power in the style of the 80s/90s, but with influences of today's metal. The song tells the story of Black Tied Deceivers, who are responsible for arms trade, human trafficking, and other illegal activities. The band made huge efforts into this record and the modern power loaded lyric video reflects both, the violence that underlies the Black Tied Deceivers, and the bad feelings of the victims - mirroring the events. These kinds of stories are characteristic for Crashtime, because they often touch on current or social topics, but always with wide scope for personal interpretations. Crashtime has established a reputation for their old-school metal in the Swiss metal scene. People are relegated back to the 80s/90s, but with powerful sound and a modern touch. So the many old school metal fans are able to hear something new again. Line-up:
The line-up of Crashtime didn’t get together by chance, because three out of the five band members knew each other since teenage years. The foundation for the current line-up was laid between 1985 and 1987. Through the years it became a consistent old-school metal band, who was successfully performing live during the last 14 years. Based on this long-termed friendship, the band is a well-rehearsed team. Endless classic Metal power, that's the elixir, which fans and friends are longing for. Old and new songs invite the audience to sing along and join in. So every gig becomes a big party and leaves satisfied spectators at home. Crashtime are already looking forward to the COVID-free time and to be back on stage soon! Crashtime 2022. Hungarian symphonic metal band Meteora release new lyric video for "Danse Macabre", ft. Chris Harms of Lord Of The Lost. Atilla Király states: "The song is about the circle of life, no matter who you are, in the Dance of Death we are the same. One of the first songs written for the third album, with Danse Macabre I had two goals in mind. Making a gothic waltz, and trying to win Chris Harms from Lord of the Lost to appear as a guest in it. The latter was more like a dream, than a goal set in stone, but as it turned out Chris was interested in working with us on the song, and delivered the phenomenal level of vocals he always does. Chris Harms states:- "I don't want to fanboy too much, but one of the best metal voices in my book doing a duet with Noémi on a Meteora song still feels insane. The hardest part for us was keeping quiet about it since December to be honest. We had a good friend, Ádám Kurucz do guest solos on the album, this is his debut as well, with many more to come. The video itself is a creation of Dronicon Films, who worked with artists such as Katatonia and Swallow the Sun, and as soon as we saw their art style we knew it would be a perfect fit for our gothic dance."
