Cultura Tres have become one of Latin America’s most recognized sludge metal bands, with their distinctive sound composed of an avant-garde mix of metal, seventies rock, doom, psychedelia and South American folk.
Hailing from from Venezuela and now residing in The Netherlands; in a what could be described as a metal approach to a macabre symphony, Cultura Tres have created a gnarly video clip for 'La Cruz Del Seis' from their acclaimed La Secta album.
The song which is based on the power of symbolism, "explores how it rules the lives of so many who can’t look further than religion (including South American beliefs such as Brujeria). The song lures the listener in to gradually confront the big questions in life. It calls out the illusive relief given by spiritual practices which try to block the acceptance of death as a clear end. “La Voz Del Tiempo” which roughly translates as “The Voice of Time” refers to the only voice that actually has a a real saying in our lives: The inevitable passing of time..."

The video was filmed in Venezuela, Luxembourg and The Netherlands directed and filmed by Juan De Ferrari with additional filming from Mailing Hoo and Alejandro Londono.
La Secta is an agnostic statement made into an album; a record filled with witchery, prophetic and even demonic figures who explore the different stages of religious madness. Cultura Tres has never been afraid to take chances and with La Secta this has led to a strange cocktail of Classic Rock, 90's Death Metal, Gloomy Grunge, Blues, and even South American Folk. A unique recipe for a new sound. The sludgy chants and heavy guitar bends are leading a journey to a dark, obscure place, passing along the way; moments filled with the beauty of melancholic instrumental parts... La Secta can go from straight forward South American thrash riffs to the emptiness and loneliness of an apocalyptic piano. Proving that this record is really not afraid to tell a different story."

If you like Moonspell, Tiamat and Theatres Des Vampires this is your blood.
Club Inferno has announced the signing of the Venezuelan Gothic Metal band Infestus. They will take care of the digital distribution and promotion of Infestus' EP titled "Dresses Of Darkness" ready to be released officially on June 6th, 2017.
Infestus’ music can be defined as Gothic Black Metal with mysterious and dark opening to real darkness and anguish through the gloom and the rage already walked by band like Moonspell, Tiamat and with strong references to the Vampiric essence of Cradle Of Filth and Theatres Des Vampires.
These five talented and skilled musicians from South America are ready to tred the path of Gothic Black Metal and "Dresses Of Darkness" is the first example of what they are going to show.
After Epidemia from Ecuador comes another Death Metal beast, this time from Venezuela, on the same label. Satanath Records is definitely on to something and the music here is too good to be overlooked. One of the songs was exclusively premiered by the deputy editor over at Transcending Obscurity webzine HERE.
Venezuelan Death Metal band Evil Reborn have probably released the best meat and potatoes Death Metal album of the year. Fans of pummelling, catchy and extremely rifftastic death metal are going to eat out of their hands. This is comparable to all the 'cool' Death Metal bands that you grew up listening to, except that this isn't shamelessly old school and is even semi-technical to an extent. It's perfect, in other words, without veering too far into the progressive or brutal regions. Sinister, Malevolent Creation, Deicide, Monstrosity and Cannibal Corpse are all bands that come to mind when listening to Evil Reborn but they're not directly derivative to any - they just keep innovating using the best kind of ingredients.
The songs on this debut full length are seriously engrossing to the extent that you lose track of time and even reality. It's just shocking to come across death metal that's so pure in essence and of the kind that just leaps at you and grabs you by the throat from the moment you press play. This bodes tremendously well for the future of death metal from Venezuela. It's masterfully done.
