Alaska's 36 Crazyfists announce new album 'Lanterns' out 29th September via Spinefarm Records31/7/2017  Alaska's 36 Crazyfists will release their deeply personal new album Lanterns on September 29 through Spinefarm Records. It is their second release for the label and the follow up to 2014's Time and Trauma. Music often functions as that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel and provides shelter during any storm and calm in the middle of tumult. 36 Crazyfists understand this phenomenon first-hand. In fact, the Anchorage quartet—Brock Lindow [vocals], Steve Holt [guitar], Mick Whitney [bass], and Kyle Baltus [drums]—find catharsis within chaos on their aptly titled seventh full-length. We contacted Roberto Toderico who did the artwork for "Where The Angels Fall" and he did an awesome artwork that fits well with the concept of the album. "The Plague" is basically 10 different songs that all deal with the concept "Plague", all from a futuristic perspective to a more ancient perspective. The lyrical aspects are also about how people justify terrible act by pretending to be chosen by god or gods. The album is a mixture of different types of metal. We are not bound to boundaries when we create songs for Mordenial. Our definition of the "The Plague" is a heavy album with a lot of variation.
