Barcelona-based Heavy & Epic Doom Metal band Black Lotus release the first single from the upcoming album 'Sons of Saturn'. The album is released in October 19th 2018 by Inverse Records. Watch the music video 'Sons of Saturn' here: https://youtu.be/lay83_1GJ9w Black Lotus is founded by Hug Ballesta in 2015. After finding a proper line-up they headed into the Moontower Studio at the end of 2017. The album is recorded and mixed by Javi Félez and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, Portland, Oregon. Hug Ballesta comments: "We have chosen Sons of Saturn as the first single because it represents by itself the key sounds we search for as a band. We are lovers of both the classic bands and the new sounds and styles in metal: rawness, heavy-doomy-slow tempos, but at the same time catchy melodies that can equally transport the listener to apparently opposed moods. We are delighted that Inverse Records helps us spread our music... can't wait for the feedback!" Black Lotus' sound is grounded in the diverse influences of the band members. Traditional Heavy Metal is the common factor and driving force of the band, but alternative sounds of the 90s, Stoner Rock, Doom Metal and post metal genres are also colours in their palette. Their compositions are embracing all those influences without limitations or dogmas. Likewise, lyrics are eminently symbolic, expressing a dystopic vision of society and their view of the world. Classic mythology, occultism, and personal experiences and visions are the sources for their compositions. "Sons of Saturn" is available on all digital platforms worldwide. Catalan atmospheric metal band Foscor have revealed the details of their digital album 'Les Irreals Visions'', to be released on August 24, 2018. Furthermore, a new lyric video for the track "Encenalls de Mort (Irreals)," from the upcoming record has been published. The video can be viewed below. Link - https://youtu.be/IVKYVHMLr7U 'Les Irreals Versions', the title aptly translating to 'The Unreal Versions', can be seen as a continuation of the album 'Les Irreals Visions', released a little more than a year ago. Six tracks, taken from previous albums, have been re-arranged and recorded from zero. Foscor introduces different instruments to the compositions, creating a more intimate feel and ambient approach, ultimately taking the music to new boundaries. Foscor comment: "Our creative foundations call for a transformation of all moments to eternal, reaching a reconciliation between the far beyond and the here, matching the spiritual and earthly level of our nature. As we set during the creative process for 'Les Irreals Visions', common things must acquire a new meaning, and so this compilation of songs digs into this aim. The world must be poetized, and taking our own songs to the most intimate level, we were able to expand its dimension and memory. A pleasant experience shared with pure artists, which today we are more than proud to present you with this first visual and acoustic approach. This time-lapse video experience sets a metaphor of a personal and individual experience. "Encenalls de Mort (Irreals)" translate as "Shavings of Death", is based on our vocalist Fiar experience during his grandfather’s last hours. Watching him touch a sort of invisible sparks or falling leaves in front of him, gave him the idea that perhaps by catching these invisible things in the very last moment you are saving some life shavings: memories, experiences and moments you love but that Death asks you to leave behind." https://www.facebook.com/foscor.official/ Alpha Omega Management has a pleasure to announce the signing of Atrexial, a Blackened Death Metal band from Barcelona! Their debut album "Souverain" was released on April 2017 by Godz Ov War Productions. Alpha Omega Management adds: "We're glad to welcome these guys in Atrexial to our Family! Stay tuned!" In advance of its release, the band is pleased to unveil the hilarious visual accompaniment to the track "Get Out Of My Head." "'Get Out Of My Head' talks about the stupid pop hit songs that you hear everywhere on the radio, TV, on the bus, in the bar... The melodies get stuck in your head, even if you hate them," comments the band. "The video story is a parody of reality talent shows. Crisix members act as all characters from the jury to the contestants." Watch the clip at THIS LOCATION. Against The Odds will see release in Europe on March 23rd followed by a North American release on April 6th. For pre-order info visit THIS LOCATON. Sporting a symbolic title that represents the band's hard work, dedication, and friendship, Crisix' fourth full-length studio output was self-produced at Axtudios in Spain and mastered by Jens Bogren (Arch Enemy, At The Gates, Bloodbath, Kreator et al) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. Straight from the raging kick off of "Get Out Of My Head," the nine-track Against The Odds commands its listener's attention with a devastating formula of power thrash with an often hardcore edge proving Crisix' importance in today's new generation of thrash. Thematically, the record draws from a wide range of subject matter including Ridley Scott's Aliens in "Xenomorph Blood," novelist George R. R. Martin's fantasy worlds in "The North Remembers," and Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball character in "Prince Of Saiyans." http://www.facebook.com/crisixUT http://instagram.com/crisixofficial http://www.listenable.net http://www.facebook.com/listenablerecs http://www.twitter.com/Listenable Foscor are now premiering the first track taken from their forthcoming fifth full-length. 'Les Irreals Visions' has been slated for release on June 9th. The Catalan melancholy metal experts are now streaming the song "Ciutat Tràgica" featuring Alan A. Nemtheanga from Primordial exclusively via the official premiere partners listed below. Rock Hard (DE) Rockzone (ES) Kaaoszine (FI) La Grosse Radio (FR) Rocking (GR) Lángoló Gitárok (HU) Metal Wani (IN) Andfari (IS) Metal Italia (IT) Lords of Metal (NL) Kvlt (PL) Antichrist Magazine (UA) Zero Tolerance (UK) Regarding the song premiere, Foscor comment: "Our premiere song 'Ciutat Tràgica' translates as 'tragic city' and it was admittedly also our original choice for the new album's opening track and title. In terms of lyrics, this record maps the collective interactions, weaknesses, and individual hopes of human beings in a city as a metaphor - amplifying the myths that we face. Life as such is represented by a maze of places, paths, wefts, and bounds that make us into who we are. After receiving the translation into photography, which Dutch artist Nona Limmen developed around our concept, for the album artwork, and its cover, we realized the bigger scale and wider connection that everything had with the Modernist Art period. Isolating the experience of hallucination to treat the ventures and misfortunes of the human being in a changing and distressed society, this magical place becomes a dreamlike landscape of extremes where we locate the scene and its reality. The first song premiered perfectly describes the emotional dimension of the nature of our music. Reminiscent of the 80's monochrome landscapes that we all have in mind, it offers the same intensity and vitality, which has always characterized us and that people hopefully find throughout this whole album. To work only with clean vocals and adding Catalan lyrics clearly mark a changing point for us. Last but not least, having Irish gentleman Alan A. Nemtheanga from Primordial performing vocals on this song makes it an even more special moment." Season of Mist are proud to announce the signing of Foscor. The dark atmospheric metal innovators from Catalonia will release their next album on the label. Regarding their signing, the band comments: "Long has been the path through darkness, but a new light shines and will accompany us on the most thrilling journey Foscor have ever undertaken. We are pleased to announce that we have signed a deal with Season of Mist, visionary home of pioneers all around the globe in the noble art of musical creation, and the best partner possible to unveil our new emotional act to the world. We feel delighted sharing label with brilliant bands from the most intricate and extreme language to the most subtle and beautiful dark sounds. It gives us a great opportunity to expand our musical language and outlook on life while learning from such an experienced team. We are eager to have you bear witness of this moment. Stay with us to see where this venture will lead. Expect more news very soon." Foscor hail from Catalonia, which is still yet largely unwilling part of modern Spain. With Barcelona as its capital this region has a long artistic tradition with the fin de siècle style of Modernisme a parallel development to Art Noveau and Jugendstil among others forming one of its major achievements. Catalonia has also left its mark in the extreme music scene of Spain. Foscor are attracted to and build upon these foundations, while taking inspiration from the morbid, decadent, and sick reflections on a rapidly changing society that shaped the artistic landscape at the end of the nineteenth century. Based in Barcelona, the name Foscor translates as "darkness" from their native Catalan tongue, which the band often uses for their lyrics as a distinctive element and strong connection with their cultural reality. The Catalans first three albums, 'Entrance to the Shadows' Village' (2004), 'The Smile of the Sad Ones' (2007), and 'Groans to the Guilty' (2009) were wrapping a shroud of classic second wave black metal around a melancholic yet vital core, while already showing a distinct individuality reaching out from the confines of any genre. 'Groans to the Guilty' witnessed Foscor setting out towards more progressive and avant-garde course, but it was their next full-length 'Those Horrors Wither' (2014), which marked a clear departure from the black metal waters as well as related clichés and self-imposed limitations. Darkness found an equally strong expression through the use of clean vocals, doom infused tempo reduction, and catchy heavy riffing. Foscor have already finished recording their forthcoming fifth full-length, which will be released in the course of 2017. Expect something magical... www.foscor.com www.facebook.com/foscor.official www.instagram.com/foscor_official Catalonian black / death cult Insulters stream the entirety of their highly anticipated second album, Metal Still Means Danger, at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. Released on January 1st as a joint release between Unholy Prophecies and Equinox Discos, hear the entirety of Insulters' Metal Still Means Danger exclusively HERE. Aptly fucking titled, Metal Still Means Danger is a literal statement of intent from these rude 'n' crude Catalonian bastards. Unrepentantly ugly since the beginning (and to the bitter end, we'd wager), Insulters formed in 2008 with the apparent aim to defile and then destroy all in their path. A couple demos and a split came before they accomplished exactly that with their debut album, the also-aptly-titled We Are the Plague. Released in 2013 by Unholy Prophecies and Equinox Discos, We Are the Plague became something of a "sleeper hit" with those lucky few who heard it: Insulters offered a refreshingly ribald and gleefully gut-busting hybrid of black / thrash and old-school death metal, with a pinch of rock 'n' roll and even D-beat to be found. Now, with the imminent release of Metal Still Means Danger, Insulters are set to eclipse that feat and truly lead a crusade worth fighting for. Right from the very first second, Metal Still Means Danger explodes with an evil sort of excitement, where devilish joy in dangerous deeds collides head on with deathly serious intent and execution. From there, the hits just keep on coming, one galloping right after another, headbanging and hellraising all but guaranteed. After all, how could you NOT want to raid & pillage with a band whose members include Nuclear Cummer, Bourbon Devastator, Blasphemic Vomitor, and Skeleton Grinder? It may sound absurd and over-the-top on paper, but give the album one minute of your time and you'll be possessed! Indeed, Metal Still Means Danger exudes tangible, terrible DANGER at every turn, and equally breathes the essence of fucking METAL through every gnarled note. It might have a catchiness that's absolutely addicting and may even be a bit "fun" if you allow it to, but the record is a red-hot weapon whose churn 'n' spurn simply cannot be denied. Putting the finishing touches on all this (fun) filth and fury is an absolutely devastating mix & mastering by Javi Felez at his Moontower Studios; he's the guitarist of Spain's cult Graveyard and Körgull the Exterminator, among others. Equally awesome is Metal Still Means Danger's packaging: the CD will be housed in a giant 7"-sized sleeve with four panels, with the CD itself completely black with an authentically vinyl look. A gatefold vinyl LP version will follow in January/February 2017. In the meantime, join Insulters in their crusade and sound off if you believe Metal Still Means Danger! The crusade can be heard in its entirety exclusively HERE, courtesy of NoCleanSinging.com. Since 2013, Unholy Prophecies has been supporting unholy metal exclusively. Across a wide variety of formats, be it vinyl or CD or cassette tape, Unholy Prophecies is committed to delivering pure filth and ugliness, the underground way.
