Music Video Of The Year
Cradle Of Filth - Necromantic Fantasies
Moldovan progressive modern metal unit Infected Rain have become one of the most exciting new acts in the heavy music world, with charismatic, multi-talented frontwoman Lena Scissorhands emerging as one of the fastest-rising leading ladies of the genre. Now, the band arises from the dark depths once again – freshly off their very first tour of the USA with Butcher Babies and Stitched Up Heart – to reveal the next chapter of their metamorphosis. The band will release their otherworldly fifth album, Ecdysis, on January 7, 2022 via Napalm Records!
Infected Rain redefine themselves with the follow up to 2019’s Endorphin. Ecdysis electrifies with resonating riffs, cosmic electronics, Lena’s treasure trove of vocal abilities and intense lyrical themes ranging from depression and abandonment to embracing reality – showcasing the band’s advancement while blending extreme, progressive groove with dark, haunting melody.
Now, fans can get a first taste of Ecdysis by witnessing the brand new single, “Postmortem Pt. 1”, and its cerebral music video. The potent track dispenses the band’s patented formula instantly, with eerie synth-laden soundscapes seamlessly cascading into countless layers of cosmic atmosphere backed by thick, grooving riffs, barrelling drums and skyscraper growls.
Vocalist Lena Scissorhands says about “Postmortem Pt. 1”:
“Postmortem is about the constant search. The never happy, never content… Blind to the real treasures of life, we constantly want more and more…”
Watch the official music video for “Postmortem Pt. 1” HERE:
Produced once again by Valentin Voluta, Ecdysis successfully demonstrates ultramodern brutality without sacrificing emotion and melody – showcasing a new layer of Infected Rain that long time followers and new fans alike will embrace.
Vocalist Lena Scissorhands adds about Ecdysis:
"While the whole world was in a deep depression, Ecdysis was slowly but surely maturing. The time in isolation away from all our plans and goals, away from loved ones and the stage, brought out something so new and different in us. A new chapter starts with this album, a chapter of raw emotions and complete commitment."
Tracks like “Fighter” bring out the ruthlessness of the band in full force with hardcore levels of aggression, inciting a tornado of rhythms and provoking lyricism beckoning the listener to stay focused in the here-and-now and fight! Featuring tough-as-nails Butcher Babies vocalist Heidi Shepherd, sonically slaughtering single “The Realm Of Chaos” pummels and bends as it decimates with a mosh-attack unlike any other on Ecdysis.
Noteworthy standouts like “Longing” and “These Walls” ransack with instant angst while showcasing some of the most varying guitar work on Ecdysis – fluxing between churning grooves, towering leads, technical effects and ominous chords – while selections such as “Everlasting Lethargy”, “November” and “Never The Same” boast some of Lena Scissorhands’ most eclectic vocal performances amid ripping pit-worthy metalcore and dazzling electronic passages. Examples of stunning, dynamic song writing manifest with honest offerings like the impressive “Goodbye”, haunting “Showers” and threatening album closer “Postmortem Pt. 2” (shortly advanced by sneaking electro-interlude “Nine, Ten”). The finisher encapsulates the album’s ethereal, immense quality while connecting back to its start like a sonic ouroboros.

Moldovan modern metal band Infected Rain is thrilled to announce that they have entered the studio to begin recording their upcoming fifth full-length album! Frontwoman Lena Scissorhands has issued an official update from the studio, hinting at what’s coming next with their music and conceptual themes.
Lena Scissorhands says:
"Working on the new album is like a breath of fresh air for us! We needed this like never before! So much to say, so much to talk about... This challenging year gave us a lot to think about on a personal and social level. Every song here is painfully sincere and raw, digesting it might take you a minute."

After one month of voting, nearly 6,000 votes cast and countless sharing across all social media platforms by us and nominees alike, the time has come to announce the winners of the GMA Awards 2019.
But before that happens, there will be a change to how the nominees are cast. For 10 months of the year we will be running a series of rounds from which the 10 finalists will be recognised for the annual event.
The system will work as thus: nominees elected in the month of January are voted for in February... February nominees voted in March, etc and finishes with nominees in October being voted for in November - the finalists will then be voted for across the month of December and into early January 2021; finishing 8th January 2021.
Now that's put out into the open, we can finally reveal the winners of the GMA Awards 2019.

Watch Infected Rain's brand new music video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gswQRa9iXJg
Says the band:-
"Should we be or do what they say? What is the true beauty nowadays? How many times did you ask yourself these questions? How many times did you have the doubt! The frustration is real.
It’s been really hard to hold back from the urge to share with you one more song before we release our album Endorphin. Ladies and gentleman please enjoy every shade of Black Gold."
Fierce screams and growls, heavy riffs and pounding beats combined with ingenious samples make Infected Rain’s style an energetic blend of the best modern metal styles the heavy music scene currently has to offer. The band was formed in 2008 and made their first appearance on stage in the same year, performing a concert dedicated to Slayer. Countless shows all over Europe and Russia followed, alongside headlining slots at Europe's big festival names, until they gained the well-deserved attention of leading rock and metal label Napalm Records. Infected Rain has released two EPs, several singles and three critically acclaimed, full-length records to date. Moldova may not be the most notable hot-spot for rising metal talent to date, but that will surely change with extreme metal sensation Infected Rain. Fierce screams and growls, heavy as hell riffs and pounding beats combined with some ingenious samples make Infected Rain’s style an energetic blend of the best modern metal styles the heavy music scene currently has to offer. Their fourth studio album, Endorphin, will be released on October 18, 2019 via powerhouse label Napalm Records.
Today, the band fronted by extraordinary vocalist Lena, is sharing their hotly anticipated album details, as well as a brand new lyric video for the track Storm!
Infected Rain had this to say about 'Storm':-
“Storm is very different from what we did before. It is an insanely emotional song with really soft melody to it. This song is about the continuous search. It is about the painful path towards the perfect harmony. Harmony between the world and people, between nature and humans, and most importantly, the harmony between two souls. Two lost souls that are trying to find one another.”

An impressive music video for the album opening song, The Earth Mantra, has been released HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA0UBIbS5L8
“We are extremely happy to present our fourth album “Endorphin”, which is very important to us in many ways,“ Infected Rain continues. “Although it is our fourth album, it is the first one that is being released with Napalm Records and we cannot be grateful enough for their professionalism, support and guidance during the creation of this album".
"The result of hard work and many sleepless nights, “Endorphin” has become not only a music album, but a true confession box in which we poured all of our deepest feelings and emotions. The cover of the album, being seemingly dark, reflects our eternal love for music and the stage. The black hands symbolize our band as we present the audience with our heart, with the strongest and sincerest emotions that we convey through our songs. The wire wrapped around the hands and the heart is an almost literal representation of our love for the stage, as we feel connected to it all the time and it plays an indispensable role in our lives.
The name of the album, “Endorphin”, emblematizes how we feel about music, our fans and supporters, just like this hormone induces the feeling of happiness in people, we find ourselves truly happy to perform for our audience and we want to share this feeling of euphoria with each and every one of them.
We are absolutely grateful to all the people who support us, for their love and constant encouragement is a proof that what we do is worth doing. Unlike many other bands nowadays, we regard our music not as a marketable product, but as a way of doing what we love and sharing it with all the people who are willing to become part of our world. We would never have been able to be where we are, to be who we are without our faithful fans and we are proud to say that we have always been and will always be true to ourselves and to them.”
