Moldovan modern metal band Infected Rain is thrilled to announce that they have entered the studio to begin recording their upcoming fifth full-length album! Frontwoman Lena Scissorhands has issued an official update from the studio, hinting at what’s coming next with their music and conceptual themes.

Lena Scissorhands says:

"Working on the new album is like a breath of fresh air for us! We needed this like never before! So much to say, so much to talk about... This challenging year gave us a lot to think about on a personal and social level. Every song here is painfully sincere and raw, digesting it might take you a minute."

In anticipation of the upcoming music, the Moldovan frontrunners have revealed a brand new “sing-through” video featuring a passionate studio performance by Lena Scissorhands of the hard-hitting track “Taphephobia”, cut from their most recent full-length album, Endorphin.

Watch the sing-through video of “Taphephobia” HERE

After one month of voting, nearly 6,000 votes cast and countless sharing across all social media platforms by us and nominees alike, the time has come to announce the winners of the GMA Awards 2019.

But before that happens, there will be a change to how the nominees are cast. For 10 months of the year we will be running a series of rounds from which the 10 finalists will be recognised for the annual event.

The system will work as thus: nominees elected in the month of January are voted for in February... February nominees voted in March, etc and finishes with nominees in October being voted for in November - the finalists will then be voted for across the month of December and into early January 2021; finishing 8th January 2021.

Now that's put out into the open, we can finally reveal the winners of the GMA Awards 2019.

Watch Infected Rain's brand new music video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gswQRa9iXJg

Says the band:-

"Should we be or do what they say? What is the true beauty nowadays? How many times did you ask yourself these questions? How many times did you have the doubt! The frustration is real.

It’s been really hard to hold back from the urge to share with you one more song before we release our album Endorphin. Ladies and gentleman please enjoy every shade of Black Gold."

Fierce screams and growls, heavy riffs and pounding beats combined with ingenious samples make Infected Rain’s style an energetic blend of the best modern metal styles the heavy music scene currently has to offer. The band was formed in 2008 and made their first appearance on stage in the same year, performing a concert dedicated to Slayer. Countless shows all over Europe and Russia followed, alongside headlining slots at Europe's big festival names, until they gained the well-deserved attention of leading rock and metal label Napalm Records. Infected Rain has released two EPs, several singles and three critically acclaimed, full-length records to date. Get infected by the future of modern and extreme metal – you won’t want to escape from the vehemence that is Infected Rain!

Moldovan Modern Metallers Infected Rain reveal full album details + premiere haunting new lyric video

Moldova may not be the most notable hot-spot for rising metal talent to date, but that will surely change with extreme metal sensation Infected Rain. Fierce screams and growls, heavy as hell riffs and pounding beats combined with some ingenious samples make Infected Rain’s style an energetic blend of the best modern metal styles the heavy music scene currently has to offer. Their fourth studio album, Endorphin, will be released on October 18, 2019 via powerhouse label Napalm Records.

Today, the band fronted by extraordinary vocalist Lena, is sharing their hotly anticipated album details, as well as a brand new lyric video for the track Storm!

Infected Rain had this to say about 'Storm':-

“Storm is very different from what we did before. It is an insanely emotional song with really soft melody to it. This song is about the continuous search. It is about the painful path towards the perfect harmony. Harmony between the world and people, between nature and humans, and most importantly, the harmony between two souls. Two lost souls that are trying to find one another.”

An impressive music video for the album opening song, The Earth Mantra, has been released HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA0UBIbS5L8

“We are extremely happy to present our fourth album “Endorphin”, which is very important to us in many ways,“ Infected Rain continues. “Although it is our fourth album, it is the first one that is being released with Napalm Records and we cannot be grateful enough for their professionalism, support and guidance during the creation of this album".

"The result of hard work and many sleepless nights, “Endorphin” has become not only a music album, but a true confession box in which we poured all of our deepest feelings and emotions. The cover of the album, being seemingly dark, reflects our eternal love for music and the stage. The black hands symbolize our band as we present the audience with our heart, with the strongest and sincerest emotions that we convey through our songs. The wire wrapped around the hands and the heart is an almost literal representation of our love for the stage, as we feel connected to it all the time and it plays an indispensable role in our lives.

The name of the album, “Endorphin”, emblematizes how we feel about music, our fans and supporters, just like this hormone induces the feeling of happiness in people, we find ourselves truly happy to perform for our audience and we want to share this feeling of euphoria with each and every one of them.

We are absolutely grateful to all the people who support us, for their love and constant encouragement is a proof that what we do is worth doing. Unlike many other bands nowadays, we regard our music not as a marketable product, but as a way of doing what we love and sharing it with all the people who are willing to become part of our world. We would never have been able to be where we are, to be who we are without our faithful fans and we are proud to say that we have always been and will always be true to ourselves and to them.”

Moldova's Francis unveils title of new album, ‘A Million Years Of Loneliness’

16/3/2018

Picture

The new album from Moldovan group Francis is entitled A Million Years Of Loneliness and highlights many urgent and serious problems of our time; personal, social, political and global, with acute social issues coming to the forefront. The themes of the eternal struggle for the right to “live in the sun”, for the right to be the first, for the right to reach the most difficult and daring dreams don’t leave the listener throughout the entire track list.

On a musical side, the material is a mixture of extreme metal and a more melodic direction of modern metal music, as well as interspersed with symphonic and electronic arrangements. The melodic sound came from the influence of bands working in completely different genres: As I Lay Dying, Arch Enemy, Nightwish, etc. Aggressive couplets and breakdowns with melodic choruses are created in the style of Metalcore/Melodic Death and coexist with thrash, death and modern-metal elements. The vocal parts are represented by a combination of extreme vocals with a clean voice, which expanded the creative space for the music’s authors and gave the tracks a striking motif matched by a clear, bright voice. Thus, the recording involved two vocalists.

The composition of the texts on A Million Years Of Loneliness involved the whole group agreeing on different opinions in a single concept for each individual song. The special uniqueness of the texts of the album consist of describing the atmosphere of the problems of each topic. Francis offer the listener not only a specific social, philosophical or personal problem, as food for thought, but also an interpretation of their own emotional feelings of a certain situation, thereby motivating the listener to intuitively comprehend the composition.

Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week:

Francis (MD) Metalcore | Melodic Death Metal

Francis is Metalcore/MDM band that originates from Tiraspol, Moldova in 2010 and although they began writing material throughout 2011, the first full line-up was only complete in 2012 when serious rehearsals began. Originally the group was called Guitarra del Dyablo but the decision was made to rename the group into something more memorable and easily pronounced. After much searching, Francis was officially born.

Why Francis?

In honor of the hurricane in America that, in the bands opinion, figuratively corresponded to their music. In March 2015, the group released it’s first album Against A Current with older material written by the band and sung in the Russian language. Over the years, the band has been active on the live scene and on April 19th 2017, Francis played the festival “Rock over Dniester” in Tiraspol which was shown on national television as “Metal Displasement over Nistru” (first Moldovan metal festival).  Francis plan to play more dates around Europe soon. Now Francis are ready to release their brand new album worldwide on March 27th 2018. It will be available in all the usual formats via Sliptrick Records.
