Japan's The Gazette set to drop their latest maxi-single 'Undying'

29/4/2016

Picture

the GazettE, one of Japan’s leading heavy rock bands, will release three track maxi-single 'Undying' via JPU Records on 27 April 2016, the same day as they perform in Canada as part of their world tour.

'Undying' is the 6th movement of 'Project:Dark Age', an artistic venture involving 18 creative professionals spanning Japan’s fashion, design, photography, sound, film and stage industries, with the GazettE’s five members at its centre. 'Dogma', the GazettE’s latest album, was the first movement, and the current world tour makes up movements 7, 8 and 9.

''Undying' is mastered exclusively for iTunes and features crystal clear 24-bit audio. A video preview of all three tracks from the single have been made available from the band’s official YouTube Channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XCBA9GzXtA

Since 2002, the GazettE has risen to become one of Japan’s most successful rock bands. They’ve refined and redefined the boundaries of rock music, achieving continual chart success despite their often heavy, ominous sound.

In the last decade, the GazettE have earned top-ten chart success with all 20 of their major label albums and singles. Their music has taken them all over Japan on massive, sold-out tours and seen them perform at some of the country’s most prestigious venues. Highlights include sold-out “one man lives” (a Japanese term for shows with a single band on the line-up) at the mighty Nippon Budokan, Saitama Super Arena and Japan’s 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome – not to mention packed-out tours across the globe. The band even managed to bring Shinjuku Station – the world’s busiest transport hub – to a halt when a guerrilla gig got out of hand and tens of thousands of fans arrived within minutes of the news breaking on social media.

the GazettE emerged from the depths of “Visual Kei”, a Japanese cultural music and fashion phenomenon. Originally part of its underground scene, performing at tiny venues and self-releasing CDs, they now fill stadiums and have become known as one of the most significant names of the genre, effortlessly rewriting its rulebook with every release.

Babymetal’s latest single ‘Karate’ -  which was last month premiered on Radio One’s Annie Mac show before being made available as an iTunes Instant Grat track – now has an accompanying video,  the first to be released from the band’s forthcoming ‘Metal Resistance’ album, released via EarMusic on April 1st aka Fox Day.

Named after the ancient Japanese Martial Art, ‘Karate’ is themed on fighting on in the face of adversity and difficult situations, pushing on through hard times and never giving up no matter how hard it might seem. The accompanying video encapsulates this perfectly, with Su-Metal, Yuimetal and Moametal facing off against some mysterious masked and robed foes, who show them that the only people who could ever stop them are the girls themselves.

Babymetal will kick off the “Babymetal World Tour 2016” with a headline show at the world-famous Wembley Arena, UK on Saturday, April 2nd, making history by becoming the first Japanese artist to headline the legendary venue. Their World Tour will come to an end back in Japan at the legendary Tokyo Dome

The first single from the album, ‘Karate, will be available as an instant grat from 25th February.

On the new album, band mastermind Kobametal stated:

“As prophesied by the Fox God, a new album will be released on April 1st, 2016, also known as the Fox Day. Since the release of Babymetal’s debut album in 2014, we have been racing across the globe non-stop on our World Tour.  Through the last tour I have come across people from all over the world and have had the chance to feel that miraculous moment when everyone came together via Babymetal. Our new song "The One” contains lyrics that speak of uniting the world, or a crowd favorite at concerts “Road of Resistance” that never fails to bring our fans together, every Babymetal song makes up this extraordinary story. I continue to believe that the songs of Babymetal continue to push them forward to discover new possibilities. All I can say right now is for all of you to wait patiently for the coming of the Fox Day.”

Matenrou Opera's upcoming album 'Justice' available in Europe soon!‏

3/7/2012

Picture
_'Justice' is served - now also for European fans of Matenrou Opera, because Gan-Shin Records is going to release the latest album 'Justice' all over Europe on July 6th. This is great news for every Visual-Kei fan, especially because of the fact that the Japanese band gained already a lot of attention by former releases and tours.

Founded in 2007 by vocalist Sono, Matenrou Opera, almost emerged like the phoenix from the ashes, selling out their first live show ever along with their first single. Already in 2008 the band played their first European tour along with the mighty Versailles, fascinating their western audience with incredible musical capabilities and proving that Matenrou Opera is the biggest name in the up and rising groups of Visual kei. Following their trial of success, the band decided to sign with a major record label in 2009 and shared stages with the GazettE, D'espairsRay and even Marilyn Manson from that date!

Matenrou Opera dark outfits accentuate the gloomy atmosphere, delivered by their heavy but melodic Rock sound. Along with vocalist Sono who is able to master even the highest pitch, Matenrou Opera are truly a class of their own!
