Spanish melodic death metallers Death & Legacy sign with Art Gates Records; new album due 202331/1/2022 Art Gate Records are proud to announce melodic death metal act Death & Legacy as the new artist to join their international roster of talents. Death & Legacy was founded in Zamora (Spain) in 2013, morphing their sound over the years to a more aggressive tone, forging a strong basis that is able to explode your head in to a million pieces. The band takes inspiration from the structures and elements of classic metal with the extreme and modern vibes of the scene's newest generation, blending neck breaking riffs with clean and screaming vocals & growls from the abyss. In the words of Iván Magdalena (CEO): "I'm really passionate about this band. I have been following them for a while and I honestly think Death & Legacy are aiming to become one of the strongest line ups emerging from the Spanish underground metal scene. A shocking image with powerful anthems". After releasing their last album “Inf3rno” and sharing stages with well known acts such as The Agonist, Saratoga, Leo Jimenez, Zenobia, Bloodhunter and Hynphernia, the band is already warming up for their upcoming album in 2023! www.artgatesrecords.com

Finnish melodic death metal band Anima Hereticae has released a 12 minute long music video short film from the song Constellation Of Capricorn. The released video is shot for the final song of the debut EP and it is the band's second video. The band's music is a mixture of melancholic and mystic death metal. The Bands song themes are inspired by the northern nature and it’s mysthicisma and the new video explores this concept even further. The band describes the process:- “We have had an idea of a video with an apocalyptic setup for quite a while. It was exciting to see how someone outside the band would see our vision. It was pretty clear from the very beginning that the producers Atte Santala & Jenna Wáthen would be able to interpret our band's theme to the apocalyptic setting. It was a real acid test for our concept. It seems that our music and themes can be visualized beyond Vikings, castles and mountains. To the future, that is.” Watch the music video: https://youtu.be/mrftMKG-ErY Line-up:

A new song, music video and pre-orders are expected to be released on January 31st. “Quiescence” continues the space motif from Analepsy’s previous releases, but from a different perspective. There are no living creatures, only the deserted cosmos awaiting its own demise. The album features guest appearances from Ricky Myers (Suffocation, Disgorge), Angel Ochoa (Cephalotripsy, Disgorge, Abominable Putridity, Condemned) and Wilson Ng (Facelift Deformation, Vermicular Incubation). The band commented: "We are delighted to present our most recent work: Quiescence! This has been a tight process, and despite all the changes the band went through, everything worked like clockwork. The essence of our music lives on!" The recordings of “Quiescence” took three months (August - October, 2021), entailing the skills of guitarist / co-founder Marco Martins, guitarist/vocalist Calin Paraschiv (ex-Pestilence), bassist João Jacinto and ex-drummer Tiago Correia. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Miguel Tereso at Demigod Recordings studio in Caxarias, Portugal. The cover artwork was created by Pedro Sena - Lordigan. Analepsy's sound can be described as a crossover between old-school brutal death metal and modern melodic elements. The correct pronunciation of the name of the band is "uh-nuh-leh-psy" [ʌnʌlepsy], and it was chosen due to its (now obsolete) meaning: recovery of strength after an illness. The band was formed in late 2013 and started gaining popularity with the single "Genetic Mutations". Their short discography embraces the 2015 EP "Dehumanization by Supremacy", followed by 2017 debut album "Atrocities from Beyond" and split release "The Kraanialepsy Split", to whom the band was invited by Kraanium. The release of "Atrocities from Beyond" was met with growing interest and turned the eyes of many towards the band. In the months that followed its release, ANALEPSY won the Portuguese W:O:A Metal Battle, to later perform at Wacken Open Air 2017. Their first show outside Europe led them to Japan in 2019. Guitarit / vocalist Dan Wetmore talks about the new video / cover - “I can't think of a metal band I like more than Mercyful Fate; melodic, dark, and shockingly heavy at times. We've covered ‘Doomed by the Living Dead’ and ‘Gypsy’ in the past, but I wanted something direct and short. ‘Black Funeral’ really delivers. Heavy as hell, straight to the punch and then it ends with two beautiful leads. Perfect. We wanted to do this largely note for note, true to the original, just a bit faster. My vocal style has changed a bit. I scream less, and I sing more. And my range is much bigger. This seemed a challenge, but it came out in just a few takes. All hail Satan!!” MANTIC RITUAL is:

UK HEADLINE TOUR DATES

BLIND CHANNEL online: Prolific metalcore progressives, ERRA are issuing a deluxe version of their latest album "S/T" on 18th March via UNFD. The album is available for pre-order here. The expanded edition is beefed up with seven additional tracks, including a feature from Spiritbox's Courtney LaPlante along with three covers. With touring off the table for most of 2021, the band found other means of creative outlet, and opted to re-enter the studio with producers Carson and Grant around the time of the release of what would go on to become their career-defining self titled album. Now, the band is sharing the video for "Nigh to Silence." - click to watch. Guitarist / clean vocalist Jesse Cash shares his thoughts:- "During the end of 2020 and the start of 2021, we tried to take advantage of not being able to tour and having extra time at home. So while we were rolling out singles and announcing our self-titled record, we were also in the studio recording some new songs for a deluxe edition of the record. This was our favourite of the bunch. Regarding the deeper meaning of "Nigh to Silence", the song is set on an empty earth observed by the moon. I intended to express as much loneliness as I could. Then, I thought of 'walking in the shadow of my own ghost,' which felt like the loneliest visual I could muster. I wrote the first line about how the process of writing music feels and my deeply internal fear of being forgotten or irrelevant: 'Floating song, I caught in a dream and passed it on. Frail and fragile is the ghost that I will carry and time will swallow.'" ERRA S/T DELUXE TRACK LISTING:
Cash also offers some insight into the band's process, saying, "Creative ideas seemingly spring up out of nowhere, are nurtured into complete works, and once that is done, I immediately begin moving on to the next thing, to the degree that by the time the song is out and people are hearing it for the first time, I've already kind of said my goodbye, mourned its loss, and moved on from it entirely. This always feels sad, but also cathartic to hand the song over to the listeners and relinquish ownership of it. It feels necessary for me to grow as a musician and as a person, to constantly acknowledge a lack of ownership over anything but myself. It was really special for me to finally write a song about the quiet poignancy of writing songs themselves, and 'Nigh to Silence' has become one of my favourites." On their career-defining fifth studio album ERRA, the band confront depression, anxiety and desperation throughout. They take listeners on a near-out-of-body journey to Aokigahara, the infamous Suicide Forest of Japan; into episodic storytelling that would make Black Mirror writers proud; and into the literary works of Cormac McCarthy and Hubert Selby Jr. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, it’s a definitive mission statement for guitarist Jesse Cash, vocalist J.T. Cavey, drummer Alex Ballew, bassist Conor Hesse, and guitarist Sean Price, each of them already well-respected players revered for their inspiring technicality and raw, natural talent. ERRA ARE:
