Ukraine's modern metal juggernaut Jinjer have proven that they will never lessen their relentless pace and continue to work overtime, earning them the reputation as one of metal’s hardest working bands out there today. With many of their videos cracking the million mark and each of their albums released so far are highly praised by critics, scene insiders and fans alike, the band never tires of distributing their mercilessly progressive, heavy metal music to anyone that will listen. Jinjer have finally entered the studio to start working on their highly anticipated 4th album on Napalm Records. Given the working title #JINJER4 by their fans, the band has been intensively writing new material over the past few months and it promises to be their most visionary and impactful release to date. Bassist Eugene Abdukhanov commented: “Those of you who keep an eye on us must have already heard that Jinjer have been working on new material pretty much since the beginning of the pandemic. It is one of those situations where even the most negative and terrible predicament can sometimes have a positive outcome. Deprived of live touring, we managed to focus all our creativity and frustration and turn it into new songs which are, in my opinion- the best music we have ever written. It's complex but yet catchy as hell, groovy but with such a palette of notes, sounds and most importantly: feelings... this new album might take the whole genre of extreme music to a whole new level and raise the bar of musicality even higher for this band and the metal scene in general.” The recording sessions are once again taking place at the Kaska Records Studios in Kiev, Ukraine together with highly talented and good friend producer Max Morton. And what better way to celebrate this event with a studio announcement from the masters of horror themselves; Carach Angren! The band is currently in studio for the recordings of their 6(66)th full length which, will be released via Season of Mist in 2020. Drummer Namtar has kicked off the recording last week at the Tidal Wave Studio in Germany. Carach Angren comment:- "After many incredible tours meeting our dedicated fans around the globe, we finally return to the studio! Over the past two years a lot of creativity and effort has already flown into preparing our sixth monstrous full length album. For recording drums, bass and guitars we return to familiar grounds, working with the talented Patrick Damiani at his Tidal Wave Studio in Germany while vocals and orchestral arrangements are being prepared in our own crypt. For the mix of the album we welcome a new force, namely Robert Carranza (Marilyn Manson), who's work up until now has impressed us very much. Get ready for another chapter of horror!" With 'Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten', Carach Angren are returning to "pure" storytelling with episodes that are centred on a girl playing a little too long with her Ouija board. So, what better opportunity than to send in Edged Circle Productions' very own Linn into the studio to get a full update on the recording, and why can't they just call themselves a Bergen band and get over with it!? The full video report, edited by Necro Lust Productions, can be seen in its entirety HERE. Following the success of their debut platter “Transcending the Blue and Drifting Into Rebirth” this new record is a huge step ahead for the band, both in term of songwriting and identity. Carlo Bellotti Stated: “Today we started the production of Rainover‘s new album at MathLab Recording Studio. It has taken along time to become reality but we have done a great pre-production job with the songs in Spain and we can’t wait to finally listen to them finished. The band’s identity is now stronger and the musicians have such a great experience and conviction after 4 years of touring, festivals, songwriting and promotion. This record is darker but also more epic and melodic. I am so proud to be the producer of Rainover’s music again. I would like to thank the band and Jonathan Mazzeo for their constant trust. Wait and see…” The band will record the album with their new guitar player Antonio Garcia.
