Ancient Black Metal upstarts Temple Ov Perversion stream the entirety of their striking self-titled debut EP at Decibel magazine's website. Set for international release on October 18th via Clavis Secretorvm on classic 12" vinyl format, hear Temple Ov Perversion's self-titled EP in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Hailing from Switzerland, Temple Ov Perversion are a young band with old souls. The band's first demo, Rehearsal MMXVII, was a rough 'n' ready display of their ancient, witching metal, suggesting salacious glories to come. Alas, they have arrived with Temple Ov Perversion, a veritable bounty of black filth, lust, and sleaze. Despite its release in the year 2019, one could mistake Temple Ov Perversion's true opening salvo as some long-lost relic of the early '90s, announced on fliers that a release was forthcoming on Deathlike Silence Productions; cult names invoked include Hadez, Imperator, Mortem, and Hungary's Tormentor. Four songs in 20 minutes, each as stout and swaggering as the next, and what you altogether get is a loose 'n' lawless expurse of sonic sodomy that's immediately headbanging and evil as fuck: no scenes, no rules, NO LIGHT! Temple Ov Perversion play black metal in the old vein exclusively!
Even though it's international release was yesterday, you can still hear Temple ov Perversion in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Bristling with an epically baroque life and energy, Finland’s multi-Platinum cello-rockers Apocalyptica have unveiled their brand new single ‘Ashes Of The Modern World.’ The song is taken from Cell-0, their upcoming ninth studio album, released on January 10th via Silver Lining Music.
The powerful video was directed by the award-winning Finnish photographer/videographer Ville Juurikkala who has worked with a wide variety of prominent artists from Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith to opera singer Andrea Bocelli.
The recording of Cell-0 followed a four-year break between albums that gave the band - Eicca Toppinen, Perttu Kivilaakso, Paavo Lötjönen, and Mikko Sirén, all of whom are classically-trained musicians - a fresh perspective and affected the way they approached the new music. The album sees them return to their roots and is the quartet’s first instrumental album in 17 years, finding Apocalyptica challenging themselves to discover new flavours and colours in their respective instruments.
“It is tough to express without lyrics, but in Cell-0, we found particles of our universe previously unknown to us,” they explained. “Millions of notes combine to create music just as millions of cells combine to create life, and when you visualize the whole thing, similar patterns appear.”
Produced by Apocalyptica, mixed by Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Rey, Metallica and Black Sabbath), and recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Cell-0 sees the band soaring into ethereal space on ‘Ashes Of The Modern World,’ while diving head-first into aggressive thrash cello-riffery during ‘En Route To Mayhem.’
Rather than put strategic attention on aspects like writing singles, the band approached Cell-0 as a fully-formed piece of art, connecting the right details and hues with the energy of being a real cello-metal band. By pushing themselves to find other places and levels in their music, Apocalyptica opened up to some seemingly unorthodox methods and emotions while travelling through that creative process.
“These new songs have so many layers and are so complex, and it’s not always easy to point exactly what they are about,” Toppinen expresses. “But I think that’s also the beauty of instrumental music, that the listener always can feel free to experience the same songs in very, very different ways. It’s also one reason why we don’t want to explain the songs before they’re experienced.”
In support of the release of Cell-0, Apocalyptica will Special Guest with Sabaton on a 15-country, 23-date European arenas tour, including an appearance at Wembley Arena on February 8th 2020. All confirmed dates are below.

Swiss metal warriors Megaton Sword premiere the new track "Vulva of the Nightfall" at Deaf Forever magazine's website. The track hails from the band's striking debut EP, Niralet, now set for international release on November 8th via Dying Victims Productions. Hear Megaton Sword's "Vulva of the Nightfall" in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Hailing from Switzerland and founded in 2018, Megaton Sword are ever aptly monikered: theirs is a nuclear-powered style of true-as-steel HEAVY METAL drunk on high fantasy and the enduring themes of conquest and valor, triumph and tragedy. The band's first public recording is titled Niralet, and it arrives as a fully formed document of a young band already capitalizing on their considerable strengths. The quartet - vocalist Uzzy Unchained, guitarist Chris the Axe, bassist Simon the Sorcerer, and drummer Dan Thundersteel - here create five mini-epics that feel far vaster than their succinct track times suggest. Perhaps it's the patient pacing they employ, allowing each bellow of bathos and push of pathos to ring out and as true as possible; perhaps it's the passion and machismo dripping from every element, every drop of blood, sweat, and tears tangible and intense; or perhaps it's Niralet simultaneously sounding timeless and fresh, safely evading both rote "retro" throwback and over-modernity in kind.
We can make references to '80s Manowar, Warlord, and Manilla Road as well as maybe early Running Wild or Nasty Savage, but even this early on, Megaton Sword are being no one but themselves. Wield Megaton Sword and begin the quest to Niralet!

The innovative Swiss modern metallers Kassogtha return leaner and meaner with the brand new self-titled single “Kassogtha (The Call)”, paired with a provocative video. The band's screamer frontwoman Stephany elaborates on the unnerving concept behind the song and the video:
“Kassogtha (The Call)” is about humanity's self-destruction and despair. We see this demise as a process in which people unconsciously build their own “dark side” facade. Everyone does it every day, yet they have no idea what kind of face they are creating. You may think the result looks good, but in the end, it’s always horrific. Beautiful but disturbing at the same time. “Kassogtha (The Call)” is a way for us to represent ourselves, with our bright and dark sides. Musically this song is a blend of all our best influences and the result of new experimentation, reflecting our desire to push ourselves always further."
“Kassogtha (The Call)” is a powerful taste of new music to come from this immensely talented young act. Leaner and meaner, ready to take melodic death metal into the future!

Following the success of the 'snuff-prevention' video clip ‚Rudra‘, the Swiss Folk / Heavy Metal hopefuls Infinitas have released their 2nd Lyric Video "Amon" on June 06th 2019.
The new video clip "Amon" was created by Fernando Melo.
The song is about the lives of many people who do a job that gives them no satisfaction - '1 second in Heaven, forever in Hell', it says in the chorus of "Amon".

Infinitas announce to the plot of the song:
"Main character in "Amon‘ is a king. His kingdom is involved in a war against the 'Legion of the Dead' (army from Hell, Orks, Monsters, Zombies, etc.) The King died in the war and he goes up to heaven. But he can't find peace there because he is worried about his kingdom. So he met a 'Dark Lord' up in heaven. The 'Dark Lord' offers the King that he can go back and finish the battle, and so the king agrees. As he goes back to the battlefield he realizes that he is not longer a human any more. He is also one of this Monsters and he's also no longer fighting for his kingdom - he is now fighting for the 'Legion of the Dead'. The 'Dark Lord' fooled him. And so the king Amon had to fight against his loved kingdom and he made a really good job, but he feels terrible doing that. When he goes back to the battlefield he shall be a mix of a monster and a wolf. So one night he breaks his oath with the 'Dark Lord' and destroys all the monsters while their sleeping - and so he saves his kingdom."

Switzerland's Burning Witches recruit new vocalist Laura + stream new track 'Wings Of Steel' on YouTube
The sad news of frontwoman Seraina leaving Burning Witches has been circulating the internet over the last week, highlighting that sometimes there are things beyond your control that you don't see coming... Continuing in their relentless pursuit of bringing heavy metal magic to the masses, the band are delighted to welcome new witch Laura from the Netherlands into the fold. The band are introducing Laura to their fans in the form of a new track. Check out 'Wings Of Steel' (available digitally from July 19) over on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Jr0hcJw8km8
Seraina states about her departure:-
"Dear friends, for personal reasons and after much deliberation I've decided to fully dedicate myself to my band Dead Venus and to leave the band Burning Witches. For the last four years I have had an incredible journey but I feel now that is the time to explore the challenge my own project is offering me. I would like to thank my family, friends and of course the fans for the incredible support. I also thank the band, the label and the management for all their help. There are a lot of beautiful experiences I’ll keep with me forever. My debut album for Dead Venus titled Bird Of Paradise will be released later this year. So my life remains exciting! I wish the Witches all the best and good luck for the future!"
Band leader Romana continues:-
"This is of course a very sad moment for all of us. We have been very close for the last few years and have achieved a lot together. It's with great sadness we have to accept that Seraina wants to move on and we wish her the best of luck for that! Your time with the Witches will never be forgotten! For us as a band it is important now to look to the new challenges ahead and the new record - the show must go on! Yes we are super thrilled that we have found Laura so quickly via our Dutch connection Sonia. We know it is impossible to replace a great voice in exactly the same way, that is why Laura is the perfect choice for us. She will bring her own strength and personality into the Witches! We will not change the identity of the band, we will continue playing the music we love! Laura is an experienced and crisp vocalist with a wide range and a crazy enough personality to be one of US! Please give her a warm welcome – she has already won many metal hearts at our first show with her at Sweden Rock Festival! We will continue to spread the magic of the witches - thanks for all the support over the years!"
New witch Laura states:-
"Dear Burning Witches fans of the world, I am really excited and know that I have big shoes to fill! I want to thank you that you've given me this opportunity and also the Burning Witches for their trust and the warm welcome they've given me into their sisterhood! Being able to play the music I love with great people, performing at those amazing shows and festivals, and being supported by a fantastic team is a dream that has come true for me. I can't really wish for more! We are working our asses off at the moment to bring the magic to you all! Keep the fire burning! See you soon on the road and thanks for the support!"

The latest signing of Rockshot Records, the Swiss symphonic metal band Dreams In Fragments are poised for the release of their album "Reflections Of A Nightmare" due out on June 28th.
Featuring musicians from Majesty Of Silence, Rainforce, Proxima, the foursome known as Dreams In Fragments consists Seraina Schoepfer (lead vocals), Chris Geissmann (guitar, vocals), Jan Thomas (bass) and Franc Fritschi (drums) hailing from the small Swiss town of Wangen bei Olten somewhere between Basel, Berne and Zurich. The band's musical stylings have been compared to popular acts such as Nightwish and Delain. However, Dreams In Fragments have no reason to present themselves as a cover band of any of the greats; Seraina’s voice, operatic yet light as a feather, combined with Chris' growls sets the band apart in the same way the union of hard guitar riffs and dreamy orchestrations does. It is only fitting that their set list is built around the band’s own compositions such as 'The Maze' and 'Nightchild'.
In June 2019, the band will hit the road for an Eastern European tour as a support act with fellow Swiss friends symphonic dark metal group FORGE for their "Heimdall Tour 2019" in Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.
