One of the most groundbreaking metal bands to emerge from South Africa, Vulvodynia have returned with their first new track since the release of 2021's Praenuntius Infiniti LP. The story behind new single, 'Ancient Atrocity,' and accompanying video, has been concocted by the band and their friend SVICIDVL, who helped them to mould the ongoing chronicle. Bonecarver commented on the new single: "Alk Yabar is an ancient alchemist obsessed with an ancient prophecy. According to writings of the Demonomicon, the arrival of the herald of chaos is very close, but for completing the rite that initiates the balance of shadow and light in the world must find an ancient arcane item lost in the vastness of the desert of Yalbalah. Alk begins a journey through the ancient ruins and tunnels of the forbidden tombs of the kings of the last dynasty of Fenhkrir. This ancient and advanced civilisation disappeared overnight without leaving a trace of its glory and its mighty civilisation."

Omophagia's name relates to the consumption of raw flesh, so it's no surprise that the death metal horde tear through skin and bone with razor sharp precision. Following on from their 2019 Unique Leader release 646965, Rebirth In Black is the latest soul crushing offering from the Swiss-Brazillian death metallers. The eleven track album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Kohlenkeller Studio (Aborted, Benighted, Cytotoxin) with accompanying album artwork created by Stefan Skjoedt. Forming in 2006, Omophagia hail from Switzerland and comprise of a world class group of Swiss and Brazilian musicians. Their first demo, Devouring Raw Flesh (2008) reaped the critical acclaim of the extreme metal underground and led to various live club shows, as well as festival spots nationwide and abroad opening for the likes of Morbid Angel, Kataklysm and Keep Of Kalessin. At the close of 2009, Omophagia recorded their Guilt By Nescience (2010) debut.  Rising Nemesis Records is very proud to announce the signing of Helsinki, Finland-based brutal death metallers, Enragement. Active since 2006, Enragement took their time in becoming the group they are now slowly, only getting to their current stage musically upon the 2014 release of their debut album, "Omnimalevolence Of Man". Afterward, the band dropped a well-received follow-up, Burned, Barren, Bloodstained, in 2017 via Finnish label Inverse Records. After many years of slow yet steady musical evolution, the band has finally found a new home in Rising Nemesis Records where they seek to put out their best material to date. There are no living creatures, only the deserted cosmos awaiting its own demise. The album features guest appearances from Ricky Myers (Suffocation, Disgorge), Angel Ochoa (Cephalotripsy, Disgorge, Abominable Putridity, Condemned) and Wilson Ng (Facelift Deformation, Vermicular Incubation). The band commented: "We are delighted to present our most recent work: Quiescence! This has been a tight process, and despite all the changes the band went through, everything worked like clockwork. The essence of our music lives on!" The recordings of “Quiescence” took three months (August - October, 2021), entailing the skills of guitarist / co-founder Marco Martins, guitarist/vocalist Calin Paraschiv (ex-Pestilence), bassist João Jacinto and ex-drummer Tiago Correia. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Miguel Tereso at Demigod Recordings studio in Caxarias, Portugal. The cover artwork was created by Pedro Sena - Lordigan.
Analepsy's sound can be described as a crossover between old-school brutal death metal and modern melodic elements. The correct pronunciation of the name of the band is "uh-nuh-leh-psy" [ʌnʌlepsy], and it was chosen due to its (now obsolete) meaning: recovery of strength after an illness. The band was formed in late 2013 and started gaining popularity with the single "Genetic Mutations". Their short discography embraces the 2015 EP "Dehumanization by Supremacy", followed by 2017 debut album "Atrocities from Beyond" and split release "The Kraanialepsy Split", to whom the band was invited by Kraanium. The release of "Atrocities from Beyond" was met with growing interest and turned the eyes of many towards the band. In the months that followed its release, ANALEPSY won the Portuguese W:O:A Metal Battle, to later perform at Wacken Open Air 2017. Their first show outside Europe led them to Japan in 2019. Czech brutal death metallers Cutterred Flesh return with brand new album on Transcending Obscurity18/9/2021  There are many brutal death metal bands around and it's hard to find ones that have their own sound or are attempting to do their own thing. After a point it does get quite repetitive if not redundant and there's little that stays with you long after the onslaught is over. Cutterred Flesh here however are unlike any of those bands. Their approach is not only markedly different but refreshing. The songs often start deceptively and you're wondering how is this brutal death metal but then the music kicks in and you know it's all over. It's time to call the closest funeral home. Two songs are streaming on Bandcamp and our YouTube channel and even they may not be enough to give you a complete idea of the music on this outstanding album.
Defying all expectations, Czech brutal death metal band Cutterred Flesh give birth to an album that can be regarded as an anomaly in the style, an aberration for a band sounding this heavy and brutal. Their constant variations, shocking mood changes, and tempo fluctuations belie the impossibly wide girth and ponderous gait of this band. And yet, they’re nimble and inventive, deceptively fast and catchy, emotive and thoughtful, and will invariably pound your skull into the ground and mercilessly at that. The strange juxtaposition of the slower, plaintive tunes with the bone-shattering blasting parts is as fascinating as it is lethal - it will catch you off guard and won’t play nice. It’s akin to a deranged psychopath killer showing overwhelming tendencies of remorse for his victims, but then killing them all anyway. It just has to be done. Cutterred Flesh aren’t fucking around; they mean business but the way they do it is revolutionary and extremely effective. This album is loaded with all the death metal riffs you need, all the diversity to not only set the songs apart but also keep things interesting, and that warm, comforting, bludgeoning heaviness that will put you to sleep, perhaps permanently. And you won’t see it coming. This is as good as a brutal death metal album can get being progressive without betraying its core sound and values. Line up -
