Genre-merging Amberian Dawn does not shy away from experimenting with musical styles and combining nostalgic earworms with their dashing trademark sound. With their newest single “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” vocalist Capri’s angelic voice merges with electrifying soundscapes to transform this ABBA classic into a metal experience never heard before. The track comes with an exciting lyric video and is cut from their upcoming covers album, bringing world famous songs by the legendary ABBA into the metal world. Take A Chance – A Metal Tribute to ABBA will be released on December 2, 2022 via Napalm Records. Following their passion, this album pays tribute to one of their biggest inspirations and ushers in the dawn of an entirely new spin on the metal genre. Tuomas Seppälä on the new single: “This was an easy and obvious pick for this album. The song is a true masterpiece. It was easy to arrange into a metal version. For a while, I considered replacing the famous keyboard lead intro with guitar, but quite soon I wanted to keep the lead part played with keyboards. It gives more ABBA feeling to the song. Capri sings amazingly, once again. And for the very first time, we had a chance for our bassist to play slap bass in the middle part of the song. It's rarely heard in metal music.” Pre-order the new album NOW! In the following formats: 1 LP Gatefold Gold 1 CD - Digisleeve Digital Album Amberian Dawn are:-

American power prog metallers Immortal Guardian issue new single / music video for "Perfect Person"22/10/2022 As power / progressive metal band Immortal Guardian continue building their next opus, the group issues “Perfect Person” as the fourth sample of their new work. Recording independently and remotely the quartet is assembling the follow-up to 2021’s successful ‘Psychosomatic’ track-by-track and sharing the material as it completes, along with visually captivating music videos, that again the self-contained group produce themselves. “Perfect Person” is available now for streaming / download at all digital platforms or watch the video HERE https://youtu.be/MRTrNHlC90A “I grew up in a very religious Mexican family. It was a big part of our lives, especially every Sunday morning when we went to church,” explains guitarist / keyboardist Gabriel Guardian. “But one day, our pastor had a heart attack while in the middle of a sexual act cheating on his wife and died right there in the church after-hours. It was absolutely bonkers and I remember it really stirred up the moral point-of-views in our tiny Texas town. We stopped going to church after that and really started questioning why we were there to begin with. You see, some Christians had such a bad taste of the church that they left religion altogether and felt lied to and deceived, while others said the Christian thing to do would be to forgive him and move on and find another church. It was super interesting to grow up and watch both sides of this play out. This made a very interesting topic to write about and it definitely fuelled the spark for ‘Perfect Person.’ At the end of the day, it is about NOT over idolizing and over glorifying religious figures, politicians, celebrities, even musicians, and the like. I wonder if that pastor had just lived his life and died a non-religious man, nobody would have been bothered, but because everyone sought this man’s advice every week, got baptized by him, got married by him, and put his words and lifestyle on a pedestal, it made it that much more devastating. Everyone can pin a local ‘icon’ in their minds as a perfect figure that could do no wrong and preach endless golden words when in fact, he is just a mortal man with mortal sin.” Heavy topics are not unfamiliar to Immortal Guardian whose previous album focused on the COVID pandemic, likely the first full album to be thematically linked to the disease and its effect on the globe and its people. In the past year, Immortal Guardian have revealed three brand new songs -- “Ozona,” “Echoes” and “Southern Rain” forming a basis for their next conceptual piece. The band will continue to share new material as the creative process proceeds building up to a follow-up full-length traditional album planned for 2023. More info will be released by Immortal Guardian and M-Theory Audio in the weeks and months to follow, including new tour dates. IMMORTAL GUARDIAN is:
On October 26, 2022, the new and 16th studio album from Danish power-/progressive metal band Royal Hunt, called 'Dystopia. Part II', will be released in Japan and SE Asia through King Records. Rockshots Records is proud to announce their latest signing of power metallers Highlord for the release of their new album "Freakin' Out of Hell" due out on December 9th. Infusing heavy-power metal with progressive and symphonic influences was formed in Turin Italy in 1997, over the span of their career they have released eight albums, contributed to two tribute albums for Manowar and Helloween, have toured all over Europe and performed with Zak Steven’s Circle II Circle, Dark Moor, Freedom Call, Pino Scotto, Vision Divine, Elvenking, Sacred Steel, Seventh Wonder and more along with music featured on movie soundtracks for 'The Werewolf Chronicles' and 'Blood Of The Werewolf'. For their ninth album "Freakin’ Out Of Hell", the band began recording it between May 2020 and December 2021. The album includes 11 tracks of pure power-metal in perfect Highlord style, but with a much more aggressive sound and a touch of prog-metal. Again the album has been recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced in-house by bass player Massimiliano Flak at Evolution Recording Studio (Italy). The album’s artwork was created by Harley Velasquez on a concept by Highlord. The band adds about the ninth offering: "Freakin’ out of Hell is a solid work from every point of view. Not only the songs are all potential singles, but they have more or less the same average length of 4/5 minutes; we avoided recording the classic long suite just as much as the hit-and-run happier song because in this album we have found the perfect balance between all the elements of our sound. We have also set the average level of heaviness and aggression a bit higher; this is not a happy metal record, it’s a heavy metal piece that fully deserves this definition." The album is already available for pre-order: https://bit.ly/Highlord_CD Singles are to be revealed in the coming weeks. https://www.rockshots.eu https://www.facebook.com/highlordmetalband Genre-merging Amberian Dawn emerges again with a brand new offering, bringing world famous songs by the legendary ABBA into the metal world. The covers album Take A Chance – A Metal Tribute to ABBA will be released on December 2, 2022 via Napalm Records. Following their passion, this album pays tribute to one of their biggest inspirations and ushers in the dawn of an entirely new spin on the metal genre. As a first taste of what can be expected, Amberian Dawn have released the first single from the album, entitled “SOS“, plus a new lyric video. This inarguable evergreen the metal unit has skilfully re-imagined implements their own characteristic sound - showing their full range with trademark ABBA-flavoured keys, renowned lyrics and a guitar driven sound to create a unique experience. Tuomas Seppälä on the new single: “’SOS’ is a great song. It's both a happy and sad song at the same time. The original version uses a unique piano sound. I didn’t want to use that kind of piano sound myself, because it wouldn’t have been as good as the original, so instead of that, I used more powerful guitars and other synthesizers in our arrangement. Our version of the song really brings ABBA into the world of metal in the 21st century.” Watch the video HERE: Continuing their legacy from the previous album, Looking For You (2020), Amberian Dawn have assembled to follow their passion and take a chance at being the dawn of a new era for the metal genre with Take A Chance – A Metal Tribute to ABBA. Introducing ABBA-Metal, the band does not shy away from experimenting with genres while still staying true to their metal origins. Earworms combined with characteristic Amberian Dawn elements truly metallicize the ABBA legacy and transform it into a metal experience like never heard before. With skilfully implemented synthesizers creating vintage sounding keys, guitar riffs and vocalist Capri’s angelic voice, the original lines immerse perfectly with rocking instrumentals. Dashing drums ensure a high-paced experience that expresses the band’s identity without losing the catchy ABBA-reminiscent keyboards, renowned lyrics and nostalgic feeling of the original. Including evergreens like “Mamma Mia” and “Super Trouper”, Amberian Dawn enchants with a variety of tracks. Representing a wide array of ABBA songs from high energy to moving metal ballads like “Like An Angel Walking Through My Room”, the band delivers astounding ABBA-Metal to a broad audience. So Take A Chance on Amberian Dawn’s new album and get lost anew in the glorious new metal world of ABBA. Tuomas Seppälä on the album: “This was a ‘must do album’ for me. We had so much fun in 2019 working on our first cover song ever (which was ABBA’s ‘Lay All Your Love On Me’), that it was easy to make a decision to continue with a full ABBA covers album. The songs have been carefully selected, there’s a couple of big hit songs of course, but some of my personal favourites, like ‘The Day Before You Came’, are also included. The recording project was eventually a really big challenge for all of us and needed a lot of work, but we’re all 100% satisfied with the results. This album really sounds like an Amberian Dawn album.” Take A Chance – A Metal Tribute to ABBA is available in the following formats:
Metal heroes Sabaton make an exciting announcement: With their fascination for the stories of World War I and two dedicated studio albums filled to the brim with stories from this conflict, the band from Falun have decided to dive even deeper into this topic with their newest release: The EP trilogy entitled Echoes Of The Great War. This new EP trilogy features new songs specifically about World War I, coupled with topically related catalogue music. You read that right! Sabaton has been busy in the studio recording some new music for their fans. With this WWI collection, the band aims to present this music in a different way, enabling the listener to familiarise themselves with these incredible war stories, while simultaneously quenching the thirst for metal music. Commenting on the new project, Pär Sundström states: “This trilogy complements our two studio albums The Great War and The War To End All Wars. We were definitely not ready to close our World War I chapter. We wanted to continue the journey and let it echo a little longer in the hearts and minds of our fans." The first in the series, Weapons Of The Modern Age, is OUT NOW. In times of conflict, science is very much linked to the war system. The First World War witnessed some of the biggest leaps in scientific evolution, weaponizing land, sea and skies in ways never witnessed before. This EP sheds light on the powerful and devastating tactics used to fight the war, and kicking off this release is Sabaton's new track, 'Father'. Sharing his insight on the track, Joakim Broden declares: “Our new song 'Father' is a dark track about a very controversial person. Fritz Haber, the man who weaponized lethal gas, is responsible for about 4 billion people being alive today thanks to the Haber-Bosch process that he won a Nobel Prize for. It takes some serious thought to wrap your head around his story. Things aren’t always easy to understand or simply black and white, but rather all shades of grey. 'Father' really forces you to think a bit more than the average song you hear on the radio." Stream it now: https://music.sabaton.net/WeaponsOfTheModernAge Sabaton is releasing a limited edition digipak in limited numbers, so if you want to get your hands on a physical copy of the EP for your collection, be quick! Get the digipak (LIMITED) > http://nblast.de/Sabaton-WOTMA Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the other two EPs in this new trilogy: Heroes Of The Great War The songs on the second EP in the collection, Heroes Of The Great War, are a nod to some of the Great War’s fearless heroes who left a legacy worthy of a thousand songs. Men and women pushed themselves to their physical and psychological limits, accomplishing almost superhuman things. In this EP, Sabaton pay tribute to heroes whose unique stories resonated with the band, and whose narratives are truly inspiring. Stories From The Western Front The third EP in the series, Stories From The Western Front, features songs about some of the most gripping tales from one of World War I’s main theatres of war. These stories, some of which are unimaginable in this day and age, depict the chaos, danger and instability soldiers faced on the daily, who were fighting in the name of their countries. For the sake of atmospheric continuity, and staying true to the sound of both The Great War and The War To End All Wars albums, Sabaton have continued to work with Black Lounge Studios – more notably, Jonas Kjellgren, the band's long time producer and recording engineer. The three new EP releases will be available on all major digital music services. Sabaton will also release an exclusive, limited edition Digipak with every EP. Website || Facebook || Instagram || Twitter Italian fantasy power metallers RuinThrone will be releasing their new J.R.R. Tolkien-inspired album “The Unconscious Mind Of Arda” due out January 2023 via Rockshots Records to follow their debut album “Urban Ubris” and EP “Leaden Field”. The album itself has been composed of stories inspired by Tolkien’s poems, his “Legendarium”. The band hopes the concepts they wrote can be “messengers” of reflection for their listeners, turning in a better awareness of their daily life. "With this album, we think we reached our own identity. Back in the early years, we started with a classic German power metal style, but year by year we changed and matured musically, we wanted to add more emotional colours to our palette and we decided to paint the darkest side of the human mind. This is why we use 7-string guitars with 1/2 step-down tuning, extreme vocals, etc. For this new record we also focused on an alternative point of view of some stories written by Tolkien. We thought it would have been interesting to explore not only some interesting characters and heroes but also the mind of the main villains:: Morgoth, the Witch-king, and Gothmog. The main concept is to develop a poem with no need for heroes. It’s a world populated by humanized characters creating a correspondence with the listener’s life." adds guitarist Nicolò de Maria. Now, Ruinthrone reveal the first single "Earendil" accompanied by a music video. Earendil was one of the first songs the band tried to finish while producing this album. It has a lot of different sections and moods and is the most “catchy” song on the full-length. "It's not exactly a ballad, because the only acoustic parts are the verses and the piano & bass solo, but that 6/8 time makes the song flow easily even if you’re not a metalhead. Another important point is the vocals. Haedus used a lot of different tones and ranges in this song…he did an amazing job!" adds the band. Earendil is about the tainted love story between the half-elf Earendil and the elf Elwing. Desperate for the death of his lover Earendil reminds with the melancholy of the feeling and the past life spent with Elwing. This song has the goal to show the listener how strong feelings like love keep on living even when hostile events and death divide us from our loved ones. "Sometimes we regret what we did in the past, some missed opportunities, but nothing can defeat love, and so we keep on living our adventures, our paths bringing the light of the Silmaril with us with is a symbol of the power of love." says guitarist Nicolò de Maria.
“The Unconscious Mind Of Arda” is mixed and mastered by Giuseppe Orlando (sound tech for Rhapsody of Fire) at the Outer Sound Studios. The album is due out on January 13th, 2023 and is available for pre-order at the following link - https://bit.ly/RuinThrone_CD RuinThrone are:

Finnish symphonic power metal band Everfrost share brand new single "Flyers" taken from "Frostbites", an EP of anime opening song covers coming out November 2022.
The band adds about the track: "‘Flyers’ by the band BRADIO became a big hit in the Japanese anime scene when it was used as the opening for cult classic show Death Parade. It’s a song we’ve wanted to cover for a long time because of its infectious groove and anthemic chorus, perfect for Everfrost! On this song we had the privilege of working with featuring vocalist Rob Lundgren, well-known for his bands Mentalist and Reveal, and vocal work on YouTube. His fun, energetic style was perfect for the track and he gave a great performance! Aside from arranging the song into a heavier genre, main songwriter Benji wanted to elevate the chorus specifically with a huge vocal sound. This lead to us having the pleasure to work with a group of excellent singers in Finland to provide the large group sound heard on the track. This group consisted of Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast In Black), Bini Silvennoinen (Blame Me!), Mikael Salo (ex-Everfrost, Thy Row, Dyecrest) and Sara Strömmer (Shereign, ex-Fear of Domination). It’s time to crank ‘Flyers’, put your hands up and have a blast this summer!"
