Irish grindcore / death metal legends Abaddon Incarnate are releasing a brand new full length after a gap of eight years, with the last one coming out way back in 2014 on Candlelight Records. Since their inception in the early '90s, they've augmented their sound by adding elements to make it even more effective and varied without diminishing their intensity. This is possibly the best expression of the grindcore / death metal hybrid that they've achieved thus far. As the album is quite diverse, three songs are streaming on Bandcamp HERE and on the YouTube channel here. Having been active since the '90s, Irish grindcore / death metal legends have only perfected their sound over the years, creating a quintessential blend of both the styles. They've come a long way from their explosive, highly caustic album 'Nadir' that put them on the map and have since then imbibed more death metal influences to improve upon their expression, adding better structure and nuance to their music. On their latest full length, their sixth, they've expanded upon their sound like never before, injecting myriad elements from thrash riffing to atmospheric passages and stringing them together using staggering transitions, and turning it into a fascinating beast of an album. Every song here offers something different, some even climaxing into a terrific breakdown or shapeshifting into something mind-blowing. The Wretched Sermon is easily their most diverse and expressive album yet, meticulously written to flesh out every nuance, while keeping things brisk and intense. Abaddon Incarnate are in top form here, crafting a potent and relevant album that's bound to go down as one of the best ones in this grindcore / death metal vein in recent years.

Californian blackened death lords Goreskincoffin are set to release their third full-length album "Release My Suffering". The album comes following a brutal year of writing, rehearsing, recording and shows, and features seven furious tracks of blackened death / grind. "Release My Suffering" will be out on January 14 via Funeral Goat Records. Pre-order the album and listen to tracks “Plague Father” and “Wrath and Ruin” at this location. Keyboards and Orchestra performed by Lou Kelley. Release My Suffering was recorded and mixed by Hunter Peterson at Desidarius Recordings. Album artwork by Chadwick St. John. Originally formed in 2011 from the ashes of other local death metal groups, Goreskincoffin started as a three-piece featuring Dean Rice (drums), Dustin Stark (guitar / vocals), and Justice Reckis (bass). The trio wrote and released their debut album "Corpse Filled Caskets", that same year. The album drew influences from black and death metal bands, both classic and modern. Following a six-year hiatus, Goreskincoffin returned with the addition of Cody Winter on vocals. The band released their second full-length "Shattered Conceptions Ov Reality", in 2017. Guitarist Randy Hoofard joined the fold shortly thereafter. In 2018, the band released the "Cursed Paths" EP. Goreskincoffin then amicably parted ways with Hoofard, a move that saw Reckis pick up guitar duties and the addition of new bassist Edgar Castro-Salazar. The newly invigorated line-up released the “Wrath and Ruin” single in 2021 before going to work on their newest burnt offering, "Release My Suffering". Goreskincoffiin is:
French grinders Massive Charge release lyric video for "Capitalism Excesses", taken from the upcoming album For Those We Hate (out on November 19, 2021 via Music-Records). Watch the video on Music-Records official YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/h4KeWVfLG60 For Those We Hate is available for pre-order: https://bit.ly/3BuuJLI Massive Charge was formed in 2004 in Lorraine, the band plays old-school grindcore in the vein of Napalm Death, Brutal Truth or Terrorizer. After a number of concerts mainly in eastern France, the first album, "Silence" was self-released in 2007. The dates will then follow one another, on increasingly important posters. In 2011, the album Charge This World saw the light of day, still in self-production, and enabled the group to perform concerts and festivals in Europe, alongside bands like Total Fucking Destruction, Rotten Sound, Blockheads, Mumakil, Benighted, Aborted, Nasum, Suffocation, Feastem, Kill the Client, The Arson Project, Brutal Turth, etc... After a downtime, following the departure of the guitarist / composer in 2015, and some line-up changes, but still with the same rage, the group has composed a brand new album, in line with the previous one, which will be released at the end of 2021, and which promises to win some jaws. https://www.facebook.com/massivecharge https://www.instagram.com/massive_charge/ https://www.facebook.com/musicsarl/ The year 2020 has been a doomsday worshipper’s wild dream and since the woe does not seem to end, Goresoerd has decided to dive into this harsh subject as well. The band is releasing another video single called “Plague” under Inverse Records, which should also end up on their sixth studio album. To ease the pain of lacking concerts this year, Goresoerd is more than happy to present the new song already on this Saturday, 05.09, at rock club Tapper in Tallinn. The furious track “Plague” was recorded by Magnus Andre (Talbot) at his Andrerecordings studio. The video was filmed by Ander Kolk at Hard Rock Laager this year and was cut together by Rasmus Tauk. Give it a listen because “nothing will help you, nor the planks on the windows or your cries, nothing will help you.” https://www.facebook.com/goresoerd/ http://www.goresoerd.com/ https://www.instagram.com/Goresoerd/ Napalm Death release "Backlash Just Because" single & lyric video; new album pre-orders available25/7/2020 U.K. grindcore pioneers Napalm Death, who recently announced the release of their first album in five years, Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism (Sept. 18, Century Media Records), have released the first single and lyric video from the highly-anticipated album: “Backlash Just Because” (https://youtu.be/FFDHuCeaM_Y). Napalm Death vocalist Mark “Barney” Greenway said of the track, which debuted yesterday on Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal with Jose Mangin: “This song in particular really spurred me on when I was writing lyrics for the album overall. It’s raucous and traditional, but also quirky and discordant and ultimately catchy-as-anything in the context of rampaging noise. Lyrically it was directed at the spiteful art of creating easy targets and fomenting paranoia and revulsion, which is something that I feel has become de rigueur in very recent times. I really let loose on the more sporadic vocals at the end of the song – it’s a real barkfest at that point. Lovely.” Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism is the eagerly-awaited follow-up to the band’s critically-acclaimed 2015 album, Apex Predator – Easy Meat, and is the sixteenth studio album effort by Napalm Death. It was again recorded with long time producer Russ Russell and features artwork by Frode Sylthe. From the pinnacle of confrontational instrumental extremity and steadfast lyrical humanity, Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism warps musical landscapes all over again. The 12-song release is seething with caustic evolution and unrelenting scope. Next to the jewel case CD edition of the album, Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism is also available digitally and as a limited mediabook CD (+ patch) with 3 bonus tracks: “Feral Carve-up,” “White Kross” (Sonic Youth cover) and “Blissful Myth” (Rudimentary Peni cover). The vinyl version of the album includes a double-sided A2 poster and the bonus track “Air’s Turned Foul in Here” in the following 180g. Variations and limitations: Black LP - unlimited “Germicidal yellow swirled vinyl” – 250 copies from Century Media Records webshop “Stressed sanguine blood smear vinyl” – 500 copies from indie stores “Mucus with envy swirled vinyl” – 250 copies from Revolver “De-weaponised steel and black swirled vinyl” – 200 copies from Decibel Magazine The pre-order for Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism in its various formats is starting today here: https://NapalmDeath.lnk.to/ThroesofJoyintheJawsofDefeatism. https://www.facebook.com/SpiritualRavishment www.loudragemusic.com loudragemusic.bandcamp.com Grind / Crust / Death Metal fiends Medium have unearthed another beautiful song via Decibel Magazine. They're keeping it fresh by infusing a variety of influences and also adding a tinge of melody to the proceedings. Check out the song that's premiered AT THIS LINK. "a short and snappy ripper that jams a lot into a little. Medium’s blend of death metal and crust with hardcore and even hints of black metal is a straightforward tune with enough melody and punk undercurrents to make it stand out from the legion of HM2-wielding bands" Rage-fuelled adrenaline junkies Medium give us their own fresh take on the grind/crust style with their self-titled debut. Their approach is not very conventional; there's something unique in the way they blend the best qualities of genres like grind, crust, punk and even death metal and hardcore to make music that's virtually unforgettable. There's palpable energy coursing through the entire album, with each song showcasing a slightly different dimension of the band's own sound. The dark and emotive undercurrent lends to the music a human quality that is not rooted only in aggression like most others in the style; streaks of melodies shimmer through the chaotic blasting parts and leave an indelible effect on you. This is some of the best, honest-to-goodness grind/crust music that you'll come across in this era, and the most commendable part of it all is that this is from a band from Argentina trying their best to make a mark - the talent is undeniable but the effort and intent is exceptional. Thrive On Neglect is the forthcoming new full-length from Chicago-based blackened death grind unit Immortal Bird. The band's second LP, and first for 20 Buck Spin, takes the perilous road of musical diversity and commands it with a bloodthirsty rage. With a multi-layered sound running the gamut from pummelling grind and death metal to dissonant blackened metal, angular noise, and complex hardcore, Immortal Bird defy simple categorization. The band's compositions fuse into strikingly savage songs, vast in their scope and more than the sum of their disparate parts, merging the progressive and destructive into a maelstrom of raging fire. Rae Amitay's seething vocal exorcisms and targeted lyrical aggression provide the connective tissue holding the stylized violence together. In advance of its release, Immortal Bird offers up second single, "Vestigial Warnings," for public feasting. Notes Amitay of the track:- "This was the first full song we wrote together as our current configuration, and we've been playing it together for almost two years. Finally having it recorded and released feels like a significant step. Lyrically, this one is more 'political' than the rest of the material on the album. I'm not trying to be indirect by using metaphor, but I also don't want to limit people's perspective by being overt. With the 'eyeless, glowing grubs...sickly white, dying still...choir of weakened gasping...,' I'm not saying that I was thinking about certain people who occupy positions of power in this country but... Actually, that is what I'm saying. 'They'll tell you this is how it has to be. Abandon hope and worship apathy.'" Stream Immortal Bird's "Vestigial Warnings" at THIS LOCATION. Nearly four years in the making, Thrive On Neglect is a blistering statement of intent from a band ascending into full bloom. Boasting the punishingly heavy production work of Dave Otero (Archspire, Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis) ideally suited for Immortal Bird's tumultuous arrangements and orchestrated chaos, fans of Pig Destroyer, Krallice, Converge, Full Of Hell, Noisem, Cretin, Cannibal Corpse, and Cult Leader, pay heed. Immortal Bird's Thrive On Neglect will see release on CD, LP, and digital formats July 5th. For physical pre-orders, go to THIS LOCATION.
