Latin metal kings Ill Niño are back with a brand new song, “Máscara,” featuring a guest performance from AJ Channer of Fire From The Gods along with vocalist Marcos Leal.
Available now via all digital music providers, Loudwire is offering fans a sneak peek at the video for “Máscara” today at https://loudwire.com/ill-nino-mascara-song-lyrics/.
“I’m very stoked to introduce ‘Máscara’ as a great addition to the Ill Niño legacy, and a highlight of my vocal career,” Leal says. “I’m honoured to have collaborated with our very good friend and one of my favourite vocalists in the game, AJ Channer, of Fire From The Gods. As someone who’s grown up as a fan of Ill Niño, and as a musician inspired by the band, I take pride and honour in crafting the vocals for the next generation. It’s something fans new and old will appreciate, and I look forward to throwing some chingasos in the pit with our Niño Familia in 2021!”
Channer adds, “Ill Niño is a band that will leave a strong lasting legacy on heavy music. Some of my earliest show experiences were Ill Niño shows. To be able to lend my voice to one of their songs includes me in that legacy. I was more than honored to sing on ‘Máscara.’”
“Máscara” (the mask) will be available tomorrow via Break Silence Music (BSM), which is distributed through ONE-RPM. Pre-order/pre-save the track at https://ps.onerpm.com/mascara. The magic of “Máscara” was captured by director/videographer Hunter Chapman (Motionless In White, A Day To Remember, In Hearts Wake).
Stronger than ever, Ill Niño’s revamped line-up now consists of original members bassist Laz Pina, drummer-founder Dave Chavarri, dominant frontman Marcos Leal (Shattered Sun), returning veteran percussionist Daniel Couto, crushing guitarists Jes DeHoyos (Sons Of Texas) and Sal Dominguez (ex-Upon A Burning Body).
The revitalized Ill Niño has acquired an incredible new team, and now represented worldwide by powerhouse booking agent Tim Borror of Sound Talent Group (Lamb Of God, Breaking Benjamin, I Prevail, Black Veil Brides). A new album titled IllMortals is planned for 2021 with additional guest appearances by long-time friend Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. on "All Or Nothing" and extended familia, Benji Webb (Skindred) and many others to be announced.
Brazilian thrash metal institution Nervosa have announced their new band line-up! After a long and vigorous audition process, Prika Amaral – creator, founding member and guitarist of the band – is thrilled to announce that vocalist Diva Satanica (Bloodhunter), bassist Mia Wallace (Abbath & Triumph Of Death), and drummer Eleni Nota (Mask of Prospero and Croque Madame) have all joined the force that is Nervosa!
The choice to form a quartet instead of reinstating a trio was made to give Nervosa a fresh approach and show another thrilling facet, but will in no way take away from the thrash/death essence they are renowned for. Fans can expect riffs with a lot of down-picking and a strong grip, fast and technical drums, a renewed and heavier bass with super aggressive thrash metal vocals.
Nervosa guarantees that, as soon as live events can happen again, they will comply with their schedule and travel the world to bring their unique sound everywhere! The band is also pleased to state that they have begun working on new music. Stay tuned for more info!
Prika Amaral comments:
"It was an incredible experience to meet so many talented women. It was not easy to choose just one and being forced to say “no” to several really good musicians. But the question is beyond musical competence. It involves availability, professional posture, good communication, etc... I am very happy with the result and very confident. I already have a lot of new songs saved and we have already started writing. We plan to launch some new material online during self-quarantine downtime, as well. I guarantee that Nervosa is coming with full strength."

Greek Melodic Gothic Metallers Sede Vacante announce new singer and bassist whilst recording new album
Greek heavy melodic Goth Rock/Metal act Sede Vacante are currently in the studio recording the new album, furthermore the band has announced their new singer Stephanie Mazor and bassist Nick Gko! Read below.
“Hello everybody and Happy New Year! It’s been a while since the last time you heard from us but we are really focused on working hard for our new album. So while the recording sessions are going on we feel it’s the right time to announce you that we are having a new line-up. Two talented artists joined the family of Sede Vacante and we are very proud of it. Please welcome our new singer Stephanie Mazor and bassist Nick Gko. We are looking forward to performing all together!!!”
Greek heavy melodic Goth Rock/Metal act Sede Vacante was formed in 2013. The band released their debut album “Skies Infernal” in November 2016 via Pride & Joy Music, receiving extremely positive feedback and the band was classified among the most promising goth bands of the current times. Besides having shared the stage with Delain and Sirenia in Athens, on June 29th 2017, Sede Vacante joined Evanescence in Romania (Arenele Romane), the reaction of the crowd was beyond any expectation. Currently the band is recording their new album. More information TBA.
Dear Heavy Metal Maniacs, here's a statement from guitarist Alexandra of Jenner!
"Today is a big day for us! In addition to celebrating 6 years since the band has been formed, we have many more news for you.
Since many of you are eager for new music, we’re proud to announce that our new release, EP “The Test Of Time” will be released on February 20, 2020, the same day as our previous release. Of course, via Inferno Records! We’re extremely pleased we have an opportunity and honor to once again work with a man like Fabien Pinneteau. Also, another thing that hasn’t changed is collaboration with Luka Matković and Citadela Sound Production Studio.
As previously announced, the EP is consisted of 3 songs, "Night Without Dawn", "The Test Of Time" featuring Emil Ivošević (Alexandra's boyfriend and singer of Sigma Epsilon), and a cover of song “Young & Proud“ by Demoniac (thanks Ljubo Marjanović for permission).
The other thing you may notice is that the band continues to work as a trio. In conversation with our singer Anđelina Mitić, we came to the conclusion that there’s no more energy and enthusiasm in the band like it used to be... so we decided that Alexandra takes the microphone. We wish Anđelina all the best in the future! These 6 years have brought us many beautiful experiences and memories that we’ll remember forever.
Another change you may notice is that a new bassist, Katarina Henc, is playing with us. This way we welcome her to the band! Our bass player, Nevena Ilić, gave birth about a month ago and brought another beautiful girl to the world. Considering that she’s currently unable to play, her job will be done by Kaća, and the time will tell how the things will further go.
On drums is, as before, Marija Dragićević. Since she was on maternity leave during the recording, the drums were recorded by our friend, Nikola Simonović.
And finally, we want to thank all the people who helped us get through this rough period and get on with it. You're wonderful!
Expect more information from us after the New Year!"

Finnish Blood Region released a new single and music video for a brand new track Warrior Heart. At the same time they announce a new singer Annika Jalkanen.
Watch the music video 'Warrior Heart' here: https://youtu.be/wisOQDDtqvU
Guitarist Mika says:-
"Warrior Heart is definately best from Blood Region music. With elements from Tales of the Backwoods album and new musical themes it offers amazing listening experience. Annika's voice gave a lot of fresh power and new page turns again in story. It's been great to work on this song with these wonderful and talented people. There is much good energy in this song, it's been fascinating to see this song grow from the start to this magical result."
"We're old friends with Mika and he asked to sing this song. I really like previous Blood Region songs and believed this new one to be awesome track, so I agreed to join and sing. I have not sing Blood Region style music before, so it gave good challenges to my singing. One can say, it's been really creative and productive experience being out of the comfort zone in some degrees in my singing."
