Kent's most fabled Symphonic Black Metallers The Furious Horde are proud to announce the unveiling of their latest music video "For The Horde" GMA spoke to Rachael Gater, guitarist of The Furious Horde to get the low down behind this sensational masterpiece: "We at The Furious Horde are incredibly excited about "For The Horde", our new track and music video. The track / video is a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the band and the friendships surrounding it. We filmed in two separate sessions; the first day, we filmed the band shots at the Red Lion in Gravesend. They have a bunker at the back of the beer garden which was perfect! There was water dripping from the ceiling and walls, and it was freezing. If you look hard at the video, you can see Ruptured_Souls' cold breath! (He wears the least out of the members, too!) The second day, we filmed with the incredible zombie (Colin Stubbs) and Ruptured_Souls in the basement of our friend Ryan Wigley (bassist / vocalist of Dark Theory - also another Kent band, who plays Symphonic Black / Gothic Metal). Filming was a lot of fun. There were a lot of shenanigans involved, but we worked very hard too! Luke Foxwell (Alienated Films) was a pleasure to work with, and we are incredibly thankful to him for his great work. He captured our fabulous and sexy appeal superbly, haha! This new track is very special to us; a landmark of the distance we have travelled and a taster of what is to follow. We believe that our next album will be our strongest! Thank you for taking the time to talk to us, GMA!" https://www.facebook.com/TheFuriousHorde https://www.facebook.com/DarkTheoryBand?ref=ts&fref=ts

By GMA's Indian correspondent Farzand Bawa They said extreme metal has no stand in society, but there is always that one section of people who live up to fight against all odds and make extreme metal the winner in the end. In Kolkata (Calcutta) it comes as no surprise that Putrid Ascendancy is that one rigid structure between the true and the false. After the utter disappointment of Ritual Ascension Fest II having to be postponed due to the governments embarrassing visa policies, it was sure that Putrid Ascendancy was coming back with a vengeance to hit it harder and make a statement in the Indian Scene as a whole. The border tensions across East Bengal meant that not only were people being disallowed visas but it was almost unlikely that any good news would have come up in anytime soon. But with persistent strive of the guys at Putrid Ascendancy it comes as a pleasure to announce that Ritual Ascension Fest II will not only be taking place but it will become even bigger than before. We have one of the best band Black / Death Metal bands in the whole of South Asia let alone Bangladesh, Nafarmaan to look forward to. These guys not only slay the false but kill with such power that the mainstream core bands piss their pants just by the name of the band. After a neck breaking performance at the Banish The Posers Fest a month ago we feel great to announce to cover these guys again next month. "Quayamat Lullaby" is one of the most awaited releases in the underground at the moment and no wonder why. Here we have a band of such stature that even before being actively performing live for six months the fan following is unbelievable and on the other hand we have those core bands playing the same riffs, same emo themes and even pathetic support audience even after a longer existence in the scene (and seemingly dying out even faster then their riffs). The sick circumstances have a victim in the form of the mighty and talented Enmachined having to come down from the line up due to visa issues. But not to be disappointed we have the newest Poser killing group Deadbolt completing the lineup. They play the cult Death / Thrash genre in the veins of (early) Sepultura, Kreator, Demolition, Hammer, etc. No doubt that the Kolkata scene has to be one of the best underground scenes but it even get betters this coming January when ultra quality in the form of Nafarmaan hits us. We have the ever improving bad asses Kapalin continuing in the Black / Death vein. To follow up we have Purgation who just released their debut EP “Exterminated Malfeasance” and going great since then having decimated everything in their path in the just concluded Banish The Posers Fest alongside Nafarmaan. Rounding up the line up we have two bands against whom very few can bet against in the Extreme Metal genre as a whole. Bestial Death Metal at it’s peak in the form of Necrodeity and the Black / Thrash of the highest order in the form of Armament. Rest assured will make sure that the false fall for good. Imagining this as a teaser we can make a small estimate as to what awaits us on the 11th of January, 2014. Possibly the best new years gift the Kolkata scene could have asked for. Credit has to be given to Putrid Ascendancy for sticking to the cause and keeping the original line up as close as possible. These are a bunch of guys hell bent in keeping the flag of Old School Extreme Metal risen and taking standards higher and higher even without mainstream sponsors support which is quite evident in the core scenes. With all this we know what to look forward to and just hope that along with the neck sprain we get some real blood on the stage. Infernal Hails to the Putrid Ascendancy crew for keeping it real. Hail the Cult! Reign Supreme!! March on till the Blasphemous Kolkata Assault!! It has come to that time of the year when we announce our most favorite release per country of 2013, this will then be followed by our top 50 releases of the year which will conclude Sunday 22nd December 2013. These releases have been selected by our GMA Team and as thus we are proud to announce the winners of 'release of the year' by country. These are set out in continent order, starting in Africa and working our way around the globe. Of course we have 14 days left to adjust the list, so keep your eyes peeled. So starting in Africa we will start at the very north west and work our way around the continent. Heading south through the deserts of North Africa into the middle sections and finishing up somewhere in the Indian Ocean, where we will head over to Asia.
Now being in Asia we will start at the very west and work our way around the continent, starting in the Arabic lands moving through the vast open areas of the central plains and ending up in Indonesia, where we will head over to Oceania.
This is the smallest lot, as there only are three scene in this area that we know of, albeit French Polynesia; Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Afterwards we head to North & Central America.
Now in North & Central America we head from Canada to Panama and the enter South America. GMA's American release of the year – Immoralis 'The Great Collapse' GMA's Costa Rican release of the year - Sight Of Emptiness 'Instincts' GMA's Mexican release of the year - Rotten Doom 'This War Begins' Now in South America we will head from Colombia down to Argentina, where the final call will end up in Europe.
Finally in Europe we will start in Iceland and work our way around Europe. Heading south to Portugal, then Gibraltar, so on and so forth until we reach the far eastern side of Europe in Russia and the Caucasian countries of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
The GMA Awards 2013 increased its categories this year and as we could not broadcast through YouTube we decided to do it through a live chat setup.
Below are the final results (we have categories such as 'album of the year' that apply specifically to one nationality, these are not listed as were not part of the main awards):
