Better watch out! Napalm Records is beyond proud to announce the signing of Germany's hottest upstarts, League Of Distortion. The rising outfit, featuring Anna Brunner (Exit Eden) and Jim Müller (Kissin' Dynamite, has just inked an official record deal with the premium Austrian rock and metal label! While the pandemic turned the music business upside down, throwing its shadow upon the entire entertainment scene, musicians were left deep in darkness, forced to be patient and wait – anticipating brighter days to come. Exceptional artist Anna Brunner made use of this difficult time to start a fire with League Of Distortion! League Of Distortion on the signing: “The turmoil that is distorting our lives has cast its shadow upon us. But we are finally stepping into the light to share exciting news with you! We have the privilege of announcing that League Of Distortion has been signed by Napalm Records, inviting us to their family of amazing people and bands. We are honoured to be a part of this! There will be so much more to come! Don't miss any proclamations from now on.” As far back as 2017, Anna Brunner celebrated remarkable international success with her symphonic metal band Exit Eden. Now, she is using the stagnation of the past two years for an entirely new vision, culminating in League Of Distortion. The band processes the uncertainty of this period and its bleak prospects to create tremendously powerful songs – songs that encapsulate this dark and brute reality in a slick and appealing way, sending a cold shiver down the listener’s spine. The elemental force of her distorted, powerful voice merged with chunky riffs played by Jim Müller, steady and strong beats delivered by Tino Calmbach and edgy bass by Felix Rehmann unifies them, forming a strong league birthing a blast of sound that cannot be missed! Now, League Of Distortion have unveiled their crushing first offering, “Wolf Or Lamb” , consisting of modern, melodic rhythms and technical prowess along with vocal dynamics to drop jaws. The explosive first single comes along with a lavishly staged music video, showcasing that the unit operates not only in terms of sound, but also on a top-notch level visually! The band adds: “After working behind closed doors for an exceedingly long time, we are finally breaking free to the world, sharing our first single with you. League Of Distortion is humbly proud and honoured to release the song “Wolf or Lamb”, welcoming you to the League’s universe.” Stay tuned - more to be announced soon!

Mexican heavy metal band Sagreveht have signed a deal with Wormholedeath for their debut album "Thanatology", due for release on September 16th, 2022. "Thanatology" deals with lyricist composer and vocalist Hiram López personal compilation of interests such as movies, literature, and most of all psychology and the scientific study of death and losses in the forensic field, due to the musician’s health state as well as the COVID-19 pandemic while writing and recording the album during summer of 2021. Sagreveht was founded by Hiram López and Aldo Hernández during the summer of 2021, in Culiacán Sinaloa, a bloody, violent, and hot city located in Mexico’s northwest. The original idea behind Sagreveht’s music was just to have fun and keep Hiram’s mind out of his recently (at the time) diagnosed cancer and the treatment he was going through as well as the pandemic situation happening globally. They recorded their debut album “Thanatology” in Hiram´s bedroom and released it locally, but due to the overwhelmingly good response, the project had various local musicians joining the band such as Sócrates González and Feryn D Diaz on guitars, and Hugo Félix on bass. During the winter of 2022, they got signed by Wormholedeath to promote their debut album this being a game-changer for the band in the foreseeable future. Line Up:
sagreveht.bandcamp.com/releases Darker, heavier, grittier… ”Valley Of Great Dismay” showcases a whole new side of Lamori’s unique take on gloomy and dark gothic metal. The song is a great representation of what to expect from the new heavier side of the upcoming album Neon Blood Fire. ”I absolutely love this one”; says guitarist Marcus Pellas. ”It's different, but in a good and headbanging way. I think it’s one of the best songs from the album”. The song, which is the second single of the new album, also features an awesome lyric video to support the release. Prepare yourself for a new era of LAMORI.
Lamori has been developing their own take on the goth rock / metal genre for over 10 years now. Combining gothic rock and metal with electronics and dark wave to produce their own neon-lit flavour. Founded in 2009 on the Aland Islands of Finland, the constellation has stayed unchanged – however, their sound is ever-evolving. "Neon Blood Fire", the band's fourth album to be released by Wormholedeath, will refine the soundscapes heard on the 2020 released "Neo Noir", but also introduce completely new elements to the mix. This album will have some of the heaviest Lamori songs ever heard! www.lamorimusic.com South African post metallers Constellatia are releasing their official music video from "Empyrean" which can now be viewed via the official Season Of Mist channel HERE. "Empyrean" is taken from the full-album 'The Language of Limbs' which was released via Season of Mist on the 19th of June 2020. A personal note from Keenan - Constellatia: "I remember us wanting to write a very basic song, structurally speaking, so it takes on the verse / chorus / verse / chorus / bridge / chorus form; a pop song in essence. Thematically, Empyrean is about obsession and ecstasy, about unrelenting passion and being consumed by it all. The bridge is a musical highlight for us as a band so far, one of the special moments from The Language of Limbs. It feels good to close the chapter on this first incarnation, and to look ahead to the future and more music!" But there's more! On the 15th of August 2022 Season of Mist will officially reveal the album title, cover artwork and release date of the brand new Constellatia album. Their previous album 'The Language of Limbs' was originally released on November 15, 2019 and soon after, the four piece landed a worldwide record deal with Season of Mist. The pressings are available in various formats HERE. Line-up:
Follow Constellatia on Facebook and Instagram. Welcome to the New Southern Gothic. Friday 22nd July marked the release of "Starlight And Ash", the long-awaited 5th album by Oceans Of Slumber. Equipped with a profoundly deep musical background, a staunch reverence for the American South, and starry-eyed artistic curiosity, Oceans Of Slumber have created a sonic expression like no other. Starlight And Ash isn’t a mere compilation of songs, but it comes with an underlying concept, Cammie Beverly (vocals) comments: “The album Starlight and Ash is scenery and stories inspired by characters, settings, and themes from the band’s (traumatic) childhood experiences. These encounters are woven into the lives and tales of individuals in a fictitious community living on the Gulf Coast.” Check out the video for 'The Hanging Tree' to dive further into the storyline. “An old childhood home, a frequently visited spot along the meadow, a closet we pass in our grandmother's house, a tree in the town centre that has scars from its terrible past...places hold memories and they never forget them even when buried under the changes of time”, says Cammie Beverly about 'The Hanging Tree'. Make sure to (re-)visit 'The Lighthouse (Official Video)', as both cinematic videos, that were directed by Angela Herr and Bianca Greene for FirstSight Agency, are conceptionally connected. Fronted by the inimitable power, range, and grace of vocalist Cammie Beverly, Starlight and Ash posits Oceans Of Slumber in a league of their own. This is as much eloquent extensions of famed singer-songwriters Nick Cave and Chris Stapleton as it is the heart-breaking pulse of Type O Negative and Katatonia. Starlight and Ash isn’t Metal, but its edges are. The album was produced by Joel Hamilton (Violet Road, Battle of Mice) and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Yes, Voivod). Its stunning artwork was created by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Heaven Shall Burn and many more). The band previously released 3 videos for Starlight and Ash that can be viewed here:

Danish orchestral black / death metallers Sinnrs have signed with Sliptrick Records. Where classical and extreme metal both collide, and merge in extreme harmony; Danish duo Sinnrs exude their own form of blackened metal, a sound that proves more brutal than their name, a sound cited in their own worlds, as “pure dark matter”. Nero and Maestus formed Sinnrs in July 2017, and immediately started conjuring songs for their debut album Profound, launched a year later on the 22nd of July 2018. The 10-track release contains a juxtaposition of punishing guitar riffs and relentless blast beats with symphonic arrangements and soaring vocals is fascinating in the way it highlights the inherent differences and similarities these genres have. During 2021, Nero and Maestus created the maxi-EP Detrahamus. With their new release, Sinnrs are taking their orchestral and symphonic elements to a new level, while still maintaining their signature dark and atmospheric sound. Detrahamus is set for release via Sliptrick Records in 2022. Sinnrs are:
Official Website | Facebook | Youtube | Instagram | On Sliptrick Few musicians manage to make a worldwide impact with their music. Fewer still manage to pull that trick off twice – but Dez Fafara, the leader of DevilDriver, is one of this elite number. Formed in Santa Barbara, CA in 2002 when vocalist & frontman Dez Fafara’s previous band Coal Chamber were winding down, the five piece have since become a constant and dynamic force in the metal world over the best part of the last two decades. Now this deluxe collection of their first five albums entitled Clouds Over California documents their meteoric rise and is available in deluxe splatter LP and expanded CD format. DevilDriver’s first, self-titled album DevilDriver had established a successful, groove-heavy precedent on its release in 2003 – but when the Californian quintet got together to compose material for the follow-up album two years later, their music had evolved to an unexpected degree, the result was The Fury Of Our Makers Hand. 2007’s The Last Kind Words was recorded as the, then DevilDriver line-up reached the apogee of its powers, ranging from mercilessly fast extreme metal, to subtler, slower territory and all points between. When Pray For Villains was recorded and released in 2009 the album was a deliberate attempt by DevilDriver to step back a little, inject some textures into the songs and allow the music to breathe, while still staying true to their sound. Their fifth album, 2011’s Beast made a clear statement of intent. It’s predecessor was deliberately more introspective so the intention was to amp everything up tenfold this time by getting visceral and violent again.
Finnish symphonic power metal band Everfrost share brand new single "Flyers" taken from "Frostbites", an EP of anime opening song covers coming out November 2022.
The band adds about the track: "‘Flyers’ by the band BRADIO became a big hit in the Japanese anime scene when it was used as the opening for cult classic show Death Parade. It’s a song we’ve wanted to cover for a long time because of its infectious groove and anthemic chorus, perfect for Everfrost! On this song we had the privilege of working with featuring vocalist Rob Lundgren, well-known for his bands Mentalist and Reveal, and vocal work on YouTube. His fun, energetic style was perfect for the track and he gave a great performance! Aside from arranging the song into a heavier genre, main songwriter Benji wanted to elevate the chorus specifically with a huge vocal sound. This lead to us having the pleasure to work with a group of excellent singers in Finland to provide the large group sound heard on the track. This group consisted of Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast In Black), Bini Silvennoinen (Blame Me!), Mikael Salo (ex-Everfrost, Thy Row, Dyecrest) and Sara Strömmer (Shereign, ex-Fear of Domination). It’s time to crank ‘Flyers’, put your hands up and have a blast this summer!"
American modern metallers Vended unveil new single 'Ded To Me', prep EU tour & Bloodstock festival18/7/2022 Des Moines’ firebrands, Vended have revealed another incendiary new single, 'Ded To Me', ahead of their first ever UK and European dates. The five-piece tell us; “This song is unforgiving and uncompromising. We are back and better than ever. This is a straight fuck you!” Next week, the five piece will cross the pond to mainland Europe for their debut European shows, kicking off in Bucharest, Romania on 20th July. In August, they will find themselves on UK shores for their first British festival, opening the Ronnie James Dio main stage at the UK's biggest extreme music fest, BLOODSTOCK on Sunday 14th August. They will then play headline shows in London and Bournemouth before continuing their touring back out in mainland Europe. Vended continue; "We’ve spent the past year playing shows, touring, releasing music, and meeting fans in the U.S. Now it’s time to start world domination and hit Europe with the same energy. Hope you're ready, here we come…!" Late last year, the band dropped a duo of singles ('Asylum' and 'Burn My Misery') ahead of their 5-track debut EP, ‘What Is It / Kill It’, which arrived at DSPs on November 12th. The much-acclaimed collection was recorded with Griffin Landa of The Acacia Strain. The two singles bookended their first US headline tour, after which the band went on to open the day's proceedings at the huge Knotfest Los Angeles show at the Banc Of California Stadium, playing alongside Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, Killswitch Engage, Fever 333, Code Orange and Cherry Bombs. Vended‘s fresh and furious sound heralds a new era of heavy music and the arrival of the next generation of brutality. Formed in February 2018 by Cole Espeland (lead guitar), Griffin Taylor (vocals), Simon Crahan (drums), Jeremiah Pugh (bass) and Connor Grodzicki (rhythm guitar), Vended showcase a barbarous sound built on foundations laid by the power and precision of the rhythm section, layered with vicious guitars, soul crushing solos and guttural-yet-melodic vocals portraying the hardships and harsh realities of life. Stay tuned for more coming from VENDED very soon. In the meantime, catch them live at any of the dates below. Tickets available at OfficialVended.com. VENDED SUMMER EUROPEAN TOUR 2022
With SLIPKNOT - ## With LAMB OF GOD and KREATOR - ** www.officialvended.com The Finnish four piece Apocalyptica announce the release of their very own Cello-Metal reinterpretation of Ludwig Van Beethoven’s legendary 5th Symphony. Eicca Toppinen says: “The beginning of the fifth symphony by Beethoven is one of the most iconic classical themes ever written. The process of rewriting and transforming it into a new perspective was a challenging but a really joyful ride. Beethoven was one of the first “metal-heads” in classical music which made it even more enjoyable to work out his theme with more modern sound and approach.” Listen to Apocalyptica’s “Beethoven 5th” and watch the animated visualiser here. The previously released single “Bolero” as well as “Beethoven 5th” are going to be part of Apocalyptica’s upcoming EP named “Metal Classic, Classic Metal”.
