Italy’s symphonic metal band Astralium announces they will be releasing their debut album titled “Land of Eternal Dreams” on August 23rd via Rockshots Records (worldwide release) along with the full length being available in Japan via Spiritual Beast on the same date. A pure symphonic album with power heavy prog metal influences, epic choirs, high pitch vocals plus lyrical sections and baroque / magniloquent arrangements, “Land Of Eternal Dreams” is a concept release about dreams and the astral universe, but also the fantasy world that lives in us. It's an inner journey through imaginary stories about myths and legends from the past.
The band explains the release:
"First of all, I want to say that we are very excited about our debut album “Land Of Eternal Dreams”. Fans can expect an amazing album of great melodies, blended with cinematic, symphonic and classical music, along with metal guitar riffs and epic choirs. We believe that music evokes sensations, emotions and real fantastic worlds in our minds."
The album also features specials guests Tommy Johansson (Sabaton, Majestica), Jo Lombardo (Ancestral, ex-Metatrone), Andrea Martongelli (Arthemis), Stefano "Ghigas" Calvagno (Metatrone, NefeshCore), Adam Cook (A Hill To Die Upon), Davide Bruno (Metatrone, NefeshCore) and more.
Astralium was formed in 2014 by soprano Roberta Pappalardo and bass player Giuseppe Pappalardo. Drummer Salvo Grasso (Metatrone, Hypersonic) and guitarist Emanuele Alessandro complete the line-up.

When recently announcing their fifth studio album No More Hollywood Endings, which will be unleashed on March 22nd via Nuclear Blast, Finnish heavy metallers Battle Beast promised fans a taster of their new offering at the beginning of 2019 - and the group has kept true to their word! Packed with extravagant melodies, the official music video for the new album's title track provides the perfect visuals for the song's meaningful message. Directed by Markus Nieminen and produced by Oy Routafilmi AB / Tuotantoyhtiö Legenda, the official video for 'No More Hollywood Endings' can be viewed over on YouTube here: youtu.be/SZzhUPe-Bck
Keyboardist Janne Björkroth comments on the track:-
"The song tells a story about living up to other people's expectations and becoming a kind of a sidekick in one's own life. Hollywood conventions and media set unrealistic expectations and narrow ideals about such things as beauty and happiness, and it's easy to get lost while trying to fit the mould. The song claims that there isn't a universal pattern for happiness, but everyone has a right to be respected as they are and live a life that suits for themselves. It's a hymn to individuality."

“We’re always eager to release new music that we’ve been waiting so long to share with our fans, so days like today are always special to us. The title track is one of our favorite songs on the album so choosing it to release early was pretty easy. This is our 13th album, but every new piece of music we reveal still brings the same amount of excitement and surrealism that this is what we get to do. We can’t wait to experience these songs live together with you for the first time, but in the meantime, thanks for listening and we hope you enjoy.”

Canada's Inverted Serenity premiere "Mechanical Gods" via Toilet Ov Hell; pre-order 'As Spectres Wither' now.
Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Progressive Death Metal / Technical Death Metal outfit Inverted Serenity recently announced their upcoming third full-length, As Spectres Wither. Today the band partnered with Toilet Ov Hell to unleash the albums first single, "Mechanical Gods". The song showcases the band's ability to blend crushing technical death metal with progressive death elements and sublime clean singing led passages.
You can check out "Mechanical Gods" HERE
Toilet Ov Hell had this to say about today's song premiere:
"That principle of “eclectic but cohesive” applies to the songs on an individual level as well, delivering no shortage of surprises and subverting expectations. “Mechanical Gods” opens up with a mid-tempo start-stop riff that sounds like it’s building towards djenty chugs, but it quickly fades into a bass-driven clean section with surprisingly powerful singing. As the distortion kicks back in, the drums get progressively heavier, leading into a jaunty groove and mind-bending tapped dual leads."
"It’s a hell of a ride that gives a tantalizing look at what the rest of the album has to offer."
Pre-orders for As Spectres Wither are now live

Stand by for additional audio samples and additional news on Daydream XI in the days ahead.
Formed in 2008 Daydream XI has played with bands like Angra, Symphony X, and former Iron Maiden vocalist, Paul Di'Anno. In 2014 the band was invited by legendary drummer Mike Portnoy to perform on the first edition of Progressive Nation At Sea with bands like Transatlantic, Devin Townsend, Pain Of Salvation, Animals As Leaders, Anathema, Jon Anderson, King's X, and many other leading names in progressive music. Mixing hard rock and progressive rock with heavy and power metal influences, Brazil's Daydream XI is a band with no self-imposed boundaries. Their debut album The Grand Disguise was produced by Jens Bogren, head of the world-class Fascination Street studio, in Orëbro, Sweden, released in September 2014, via Power Prog. The album has received many great reviews all over the globe, placing the band as one of the most promising names in progressive metal in South America.
For the follow-up album, The Circus Of The Tattered And Torn, Daydream XI embraces the progressive side of their music in a dark concept album. The concept is a metaphor to express that we are drawn to each other more by our weaknesses and our flaws than our strengths and virtues. It's portrayed through a journey, where Phillip, the Circus master, takes his new apprentice, Circe, across the various acts of this Circus. Each song represents a feeling or aspect of human life, channelled by the storyline of each character. With eleven epic new songs, The Circus Of The Tattered And Torn was recorded at an array of studios across Brazil and the US with the band's Tiago Masseti handling final production. The record was mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Haken), and completed with artwork by Kikyz1313 and Mateus Conter.
