Half Blood was created in late 2014 when Manuel Castillo (ex-Dissors) and Pablo Abatte (Nueve Círculos) began the search for a new live and studio, professional sound. Javier Contreras (ex-Dissors) later joined the project and together they started composing Half Blood’s first songs. In the process of finding Half Blood’s sound, Sebastián Aguilera (ex-Wormhole Project) and Francisco Arévalo (electric bass professor from Instituto ProJazz and session musician) joined the band. After writing 15 songs and with the intention of recording they got in touch Logan Mader (ex-Machine Head and producer for Gojira, Cavalera Conspiracy, Fear Factory, etc.) who showed interest in the project and took it on. The Half Blood debut, self-titled album was recorded at Logan Mader Studio in September 2016. Due to personal differences, Javier Contreras stepped aside, giving way to Ismael Gutiérrez (ex-Sumission and Kitsune Metaru). He has collaborated with Noumena before with the music video ”Sleep”. ”Myrrys” (old Finnish, ruckus, tumult or uproar) is the 5th album from Noumena. Previously the band has used English. The album themes, including Finnish nature and cultural heritage, and intimate stories required the use of Finnish this time. The new album has received warm welcome already in the reviews. At the end of February they already presented their first single 'Path of the Wolf' which is dedicated to the story of Geralt of Rivia, the main character of the famous fantasy cycle The Witcher, written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkovski. The album consists of nine songs, intro and outro and will be officially released on the turn of April and May. The musical composition offers a number of melodies as well as powerful guitar riffs which are supplemented by an array of musical instruments such as bagpipes, flutes, violin, etc., contributing to the complexity of the overall composition. The album will be produced by Finnish producer legend Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Apocalyptica, Ensiferum, Amorphis), who will create sounds to match the infernal essence of Torchia. The lead guitarist and artistic leader of Torchia, Ville Riitamaa states: "All the bands sound the same nowadays! I wouldn't care even if we had a crappy sound, as long as it's something different!" Recording started in May at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna, Finland. Audience can expect the same frantic death assault heard on promotional releases, but with more filth and danger. Comment on making the debut album from vocalist Eetu Hentunen: “We agreed with Hiili that we'll make this the hardest hitting metal album to come out of Finland this year! Master Riitamaa has laid down solid riffs to guide the listener through the gutters of existential agony and the hordes of war.
