Chilean metal band Half Blood have released their Official Video for "Self Exile," the second single off of their self-titled, debut album due out later this year.
Watch "Self Exile" here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBhsjZ1rpbI
"We were really tired about the empty lyrics of pop music, even on the metal scene in some cases, there's so much happening around the world right now and it seems that it didn't care, true pain, true horror, but all that matters now are how big is your ass or how much money do you have playing like a fake gangsta, so fuck it, we choose Self Exile." - Half Blood
Half Blood was created in late 2014 when Manuel Castillo (ex-Dissors) and Pablo Abatte (Nueve Círculos) began the search for a new live and studio, professional sound. Javier Contreras (ex-Dissors) later joined the project and together they started composing Half Blood’s first songs.
In the process of finding Half Blood’s sound, Sebastián Aguilera (ex-Wormhole Project) and Francisco Arévalo (electric bass professor from Instituto ProJazz and session musician) joined the band. After writing 15 songs and with the intention of recording they got in touch Logan Mader (ex-Machine Head and producer for Gojira, Cavalera Conspiracy, Fear Factory, etc.) who showed interest in the project and took it on.
The Half Blood debut, self-titled album was recorded at Logan Mader Studio in September 2016. Due to personal differences, Javier Contreras stepped aside, giving way to Ismael Gutiérrez (ex-Sumission and Kitsune Metaru).
Half Blood will be released in mid 2017 and will be available in physical and digital format through Itunes, Spotify, Amazon.

The forthcoming album picks up where Into the Aquatic Sector left off and takes the sound to a whole new, previously unexplored level. Vocalist/guitarist Tanner Poppitt comments: "I wanted a broader scope to work with and have the listener think about what they are listening to." Last but certainly not least, Tony Koehl's (The Black Dahlia Murder, Putrid Pile, Malignancy, etc) cover art also represents a huge step forward for the band, as his artistic interpretations tie everything together into a cohesive whole. The Essence of Time Matches No Flesh was mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Studios, and mixed and recorded by Mark Rivas of Rivas Studios. The album was produced by Mark Rivas and Tanner Poppitt.

Melodic death metal band Noumena, hailing from Finland, released their new album ”Myrrys” yesterday. The band celebrated the release with an intriguing music video of the doomy and gloomy track “Kirouksen kantaja” (“The Bearer of the Curse”). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcC2zO_D4T8
"In "Kirouksen kantaja" dreamlike, slow melodies weave landscape over the melancholic, down-tempo song. Musical themes are given time to develop - in contrast to this hectic world where people's worth is measured by their ability to perform", analyses guitarist Ville Lamminaho, the writer of the song
Lyrically the song is about overcoming obstacles and gathering strength, "finding the flame inside", to battle the curses that most people carry, in a form or another.
The music video reveals what kind of duties and incidents a Finnish park ranger faces, when searching for a lost metal band in the woods. The story carries the audience into the heart of Finnish wilderness and mystery. The video manages to capture and visualize the themes and the atmosphere of “Myrrys”.
Jack of all trades, Jyrki Muromäki came up with the idea, directed, filmed and edited the video. He has collaborated with Noumena before with the music video ”Sleep”.
”Myrrys” (old Finnish, ruckus, tumult or uproar) is the 5th album from Noumena. Previously the band has used English. The album themes, including Finnish nature and cultural heritage, and intimate stories required the use of Finnish this time. The new album has received warm welcome already in the reviews. During the autumn 2017 Noumena is hitting the stage in Finland and abroad.
“Myrrys” is released by Haunted Zoo Productions, which is an independent record label established by Noumena members. Distribution by Playground Music and Inverse Records. Released in Russia by FONO under the license from Haunted Zoo Productions. Album is released in CD/LP/DIGI.
Poland's Decapitated set to release new album 'Anticult' on July 7th via Nuclear Blast
Polish metal extremists Decapitated have revealed details of their upcoming seventh album "Anticult", out July 7 via Nuclear Blast. The band has also dropped the new song "Never,": https://youtu.be/Dzsnunj-5gg which is available as an instant grat track for all fans who pre-order the album. Anticult is available for pre-order here:
Limited Silver & Clear Vinyl (inc signed insert) - http://nblast.de/DecapAnticultNB
Limited Digipack CD & Vinyl (inc signed insert) - http://nblast.de/DecapAnticultRS
Anticult highlights just how vital Decapitated have remained two decades deep into their career. Decapitated have long been undeniable masters of their craft and they are expanding their parameters with Anticult, which should elevate the band's profile beyond the death metal realm in which it has dominated for years.
"Anticult represents the legacy and future of Decapitated," said guitarist Vogg. "We're extremely proud of the record, in both the song compositions and the production. This is the best representation of our music and we're really excited for the world to hear it!"
The album's massive musical leap forward is evidenced by "Never." It's a song with an incredible bite and retains Decapitated's signature fury. But it's also undeniably catchy and takes up residence in your brain and stays there.
"'Never,' the first track we are showcasing from the record, is fast, it's technical, and most importantly, it's heavy," Vogg commented. "For us, it's what Decapitated is all about… and it will be really fun to play live. Enjoy it!"
Vocalist Rasta weighed in about the subject matter of "Never," offering this insight into the lyrical content: "There is no mystical, doomish fate waiting for us. The only judgement pending is our own. The simple relationship between cause and effect is what determines our future. We are now witnessing something that should never have happened — our homes have become our civilisation's grave."
The band will announce U.S. tour plans shortly.
Today, Slovenian power-thrashers Eruption stream the entirety of their highly anticipated third album, Cloaks of Oblivion, at web-portal InvisibleOranges.com. Set for international release on May 2nd via Xtreem Music, hear Eruption's Cloaks of Oblivion in its entirety exclusively HERE.
While some thrash metal bands tend to sharpen their sound, making it more aggressive, Slovenia's Eruption decide to step out from their traditional Bay Area-influenced sound to a more US power/heavy metal sound in the vein of bands like Sanctuary, Helstar, and Vicious Rumors while still retaining their usual Forbidden, Vio-lence, and Death Angel touches, recording one hell of a great album with a killer production and fantastic cover artwork by Alex Boca.

Romania-based Funeral Doom Metal combo Descend into Despair announce the release date of their upcoming studio album, Synaptic Veil, for the 5th of June, via Loud Rage Music.
Synaptic Veil was mixed and mastered in London by Daniel Neagoe, known from his work in bands like Eye of Solitude, Clouds, and recently also Shape of Despair, and features the special guest appearance of Kostas Panagiotou from Pantheist. The album video trailer is now online here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NkB8Enq6cQ
The band's second effort features 5 long tracks with a total duration of over 55 minutes of introspective haze:
The original cover artwork for Synaptic Veil is signed by talented local artist Maria Elisabeta Cucu.
Here’s what the band had to say about their latest effort, Synaptic Veil: “our latest effort to date, is also our most articulate endeavour so far. The veil here is ambiguous and double-sided: “objective” reality imposes a layer of limitations onto our mental landscape; but our inner, “subjective” reality lays a veil of concepts on top of the physical reality as a coping mechanism.”
After four years of waiting the Czech Pagan metal band Odraedir is set to release their first full length album, 'Legends of the Dark Times'. At the end of February they already presented their first single 'Path of the Wolf' which is dedicated to the story of Geralt of Rivia, the main character of the famous fantasy cycle The Witcher, written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkovski. The album consists of nine songs, intro and outro and will be officially released on the turn of April and May.
The musical composition offers a number of melodies as well as powerful guitar riffs which are supplemented by an array of musical instruments such as bagpipes, flutes, violin, etc., contributing to the complexity of the overall composition. Finnish metal patrol Torchia are currently recording their debut album. The album will be produced by Finnish producer legend Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Apocalyptica, Ensiferum, Amorphis), who will create sounds to match the infernal essence of Torchia.
The lead guitarist and artistic leader of Torchia, Ville Riitamaa states:
"All the bands sound the same nowadays! I wouldn't care even if we had a crappy sound, as long as it's something different!"
Recording started in May at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna, Finland. Audience can expect the same frantic death assault heard on promotional releases, but with more filth and danger.
Comment on making the debut album from vocalist Eetu Hentunen:
“We agreed with Hiili that we'll make this the hardest hitting metal album to come out of Finland this year! Master Riitamaa has laid down solid riffs to guide the listener through the gutters of existential agony and the hordes of war. Totally fucking classic material!”
The record will be released later this year.
