Primitai (pronouned Primi-tie) are a London based melodic metal band drawing inspiration from classic heavy metal and combining it with a modern production, intensity and a subtle progressive edge. Whether sharing the stage with NWOBHM bands like Saxon, power metallers Edguy, thrash bands like Warbringer, or even Scandinavian sleaze rock like Crashdiet, the power, melody and intensity of Primitai‘s songs and performance has struck a chord with fans across a wide spectrum of metal. Their break through came in 2010 upon release of their 2nd album Line Of Fire, which lead to UK tours and festivals including Hard Rock Hell, Bloodstock, Hammerfest, High Voltage and Wacken Cruise. Their 2013 album Rise Again, mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordstrom and featuring a guest appearance from Richie Faulkner (Judas Priest), pushed them higher to dates with Sepultura and Saxon, and praise from the biggest rock publications. After a 2015 UK tour with Wolf, the band went into studio to make Night Brings Insanity with production handled by Lasse Lammert (Alestorm, Gloryhammer). The album was released in 2016, lauded by the likes of Kerrang, Powerplay, Fireworks, Zero Tolerance and countless websites, propelling them to headline shows the length and breadth of the country, and slots with bands as diverse as Hell, Sodom, Power Quest, Crazy Lixx and Blaze Bayley. The band have finished making their next album, scheduled for a spring 2018 release. Primitai features stalwarts Guy on vocals and Srdjan & Sergio on dual lead guitar, and in 2016 they were joined by drummer and bassist Jonny & Scott, formerly of Dry The River who played the main stages of Reading and Glastonbury and released two UK Top 40 albums. Serj - Primitai “We‘re extremely proud to say that we have signed with Dissonance Productions. The vision shown by them shows what potential this label has to really put Britain back on the Heavy Metal map”. Steve - Dissonance: “An exciting band that to my mind has been criminally overlooked thus far. I hope signing us will put them on the map, they deserve it! www.Primitai.com www.facebook.com/Primitai bandcamp.com/Primitai www.twitter.com/Primitai www.instagram.com/primitai The new EP 'The New Mythology Vol. 1' from Vancouver-based groove thrashers Revenger, has been unleashed and is streaming in its entirety! Get a fiery helping of Canadian metal at revengermusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-new-mythology-vol-1 Make sure to check out the official video for opening track "Hex" at this location. The New Mythology Vol.1, Revenger's second studio release, is a five-song EP that expands on the band's aggressive thrash style with tracks that are more technical, visceral and direct than debut album To The Wolves. Formed in 2012, the band introduces some key members that shape the sound and vibe of this EP, which is more calculated and driven than before. Heavy guitar rhythms punctuated by a consistent thrash pulse breaks only when the groove requires and marks Revenger's particular style. The lyrics and gritty death vocals also bring out the rage and bitterness of the subject matter which, for this EP, is slightly more conceptual and inspired by comic books and how today's mythology could become tomorrow's dogma. With the intent of bringing together technical thrash metal and gritty groove riffs, Revenger was born in 2012 through the hands of guitarist Jean-Pierre Poulin and drummer Chris Warunki. The pair had written music together before and the combination of their styles and personalities was a natural experiment. In March 2014, Revenger debuted in Vancouver to warm reviews. Their first independent album To the Wolves came out in September 2014 with Jordan Knute (lead guitar), Greg Cavanagh (vocals) and Darryl Greer (bass). In early 2015, Revenger's line-up evolved to include Julia Geaman (drums) and Andrew Bailey (vocals). The following year was largely focused on wood-shedding, playing local and regional shows/festivals alongside renowned bands such as Havok, Beyond Creation, Archspire, Tengger Cavalry, Stryker and Unleash the Archers. 2016 saw the introduction of Sean Parkinson on guitar (replacing Jordan Knute), and the interesting switch from guitar to bass for founder and main song writer JP Poulin. Ending the year with a 5-song EP written and ready to be recorded in early 2017, Revenger is ready to tour extensively and work tirelessly to get their music out to the world. Set for international release on February 23rd via Invictus Productions, hear Demonomancy's Poisoned Atontement in its entirety exclusively HERE. For a decade now, Demonomancy have been steadfast pillars of the bestial metal idiom, perfecting it over the course of two EPs and 2013's definitive debut album, Throne of Demonic Proselytism. However, whilst working with the same strident fundaments - ancient South American black/death, the rigorous Blasphemy / Beherit axiom, early proponents of metal primitivism like Profanatica and VON - hereby with Poisoned Atonement do the power-trio leave behind all pretenders and stake out a new, defiant claim of sulphurous metal magic. Portended by the ominous new track on the 2016 split with Finnish comrades Witchcraft, Poisoned Atonement portrays a Demonomancy no longer bounded by subgenre dictates. Here, they explore all the craggiest corners of their songwriting acumen, finesse forth an endlessly burly yet richly dynamic sound-field that verily approximates the most mysterious echoes of the grand abyss. Smothering, mind-melting violence collides head on with textural ritualism, wild-child heavy metal abandon with austere, locked-in grind: Demonomancy not so much leave no stone unturned as they do simply CRUSH it into feeble dust under their massive, ever-masterful boots. To begin understanding the multi-layered miasma of Poisoned Atonement is to gaze deeply into its cover art... As such, Demonomancy is the sublimation of primitive human impulses morphed into aural spears that suffocate consciousness in a perennial leprous embrace. Corrosive verses burn superficial organic tissues, revealing the pulsating flesh exposed in its primordial obscenity. In this atoning pilgrimage, the unbearable guilt gives birth to inner demons that lacerate the mendacious drape covering our hidden and irrational world. "We praise the morbid and forbidden Bestiality to be rejoined with our primeval dimension," state the band. "We praise the diseased and morbid spirit bounded by the mortal coils festering chains. The body is merely a monumental epitaph. Metal of Death – Methodical Chaos." Bow in fealty and begin your Poisoned Atonement with Demonomancy... They combine groovy riffs and rhythms with twisted folk melodies with a very Finnish touch. The lyrics are in Finnish and more specifically in the accent of Oulu. The songs are tales about drinking, hangovers, trolls and of course blood-spattered eternal battles. Verikalpa is formed by six musicians from bands such as Catamenia and Quake The Earth and this experienced group of musicians deliver their music with a firm touch and with an energetic live show. The band comments: "The time has finally come! After all the teasing and foreplay Verikalpa takes it's biggest step ever and presents Taistelutahto to the world! It took a lot of beering, strained neck-muscles and a few square feet of dandruff on the floor of the rehearsal-disco but after all that and the long hours in the studio we have to say it was all worth it! What make it so worth it you ask? YOU! The fans and all you who have listened to the songs and headbanged in your bedroom hopefully in your underwear with a cold beer in your hands or in the middle of a sexual act! A new page in Finnish groovy-folk-troll-beer-metal has been turned and this is only one of beginning chapters! Please keep streaming/listening the music on the platform of your choosing and let this be the soundtrack to your wildest nights! Cheers and beers to you all from Verikalpa!" Lou Quinse - “The fifteen” in langue d’Oc, “The Devil”, fifteenth major arcana of Tarot. Conceived in 2006 in val d’Ala, in the mountains of Balme (Barmés) with the grouping of various underground musicians of Torino, Lou Quinse want to celebrate an heretical marriage between diabolic heavy metal and the cultural heritage of the western Alps. Traditional instruments such as hurdy-gurdy, flutes, accordion, percussion and bagpipes, find new life and energy crashing into a wall of waves and distorted vibrations generated by huge guitars, a deep bass and fast drums. At the same time, a pure metal voice screams and growls words that have been sung in taverns, forests and cobble stoned streets for centuries. From the beginning, Lou Quinse have been a really motivated band, performing intense shows, searching for high grade atmospheres on all stages in Italy and Europe whether good or (indeed in some cases) bad. The new album from Lou Quinse is titled Lo Sabbat. Recorded in 2017, it contains 12 blistering tracks and is due for release worldwide via Sliptrick Records. Lou Quinse are: IX. L’Ermite – Vocals XIX. Lo Solelh – Guitar Lo Mat – Drums XVII. La Luna – Bass I. Lo Bagat – Diatonic Accordion VII. Lo Carreton – Flutes/Pipes Band links: Official Website | Facebook | Youtube | Reverbnation After the release of their debut "Dark Rising" (2012) via Massacre Records, Portuguese heavy/gothic metallers Enchantya are very proud to announce that the band started recording their sophomore album on the 10th of February, at the Pentagon Audio Manufactures Studios with amazing Fernando Matias (Sinistro) on the control.
