Poland's multifaceted, extreme metal band Entropia (originating from Oleśnica in Lower Silesia) has signed a record deal with Agonia Records. Entropia combines a number of genres, from krautrock and electronic music, to sludge and black metal, filtered through a prism of metallic extremity. With three studio albums to its name - "Vesper" (2013), "Ufonaut" (2016) and "Vacuum" (2018) - the five-piece pushed and evolved its base sound to develop a unique sonic perspective, drenched in psychedelia. The latter plays a major part in the band's image and conceptual approach. Entropia's output is met with growing interest from metal and non-metal community, having the group play Roadburn Festival, Primavera Sound, OFF Festival, Mystic Festival and a European tour supporting US black / folk act Wayfarer. The band contributed to the video game Cyberpunk 2077, by having their song "Future Drugs" appear on the official soundtrack. Entropia's members perform under a joint moniker ULTRA. Their sight is set on releasing their fourth album titled "Total" on Agonia Records. "We have the pleasure to announce that our new album 'Total' will be released later this year via Agonia," comments Entropia. "With a hint of irony, the album was announced as the soundtrack to the end of the world. Now it's clear, that our announcement should have been taken literally."

Danish melodic deathcore outfit Hanging The Nihilist present new single 'To The Sound Of Madness'10/4/2022 Danish melodic deathcore band Hanging The Nihilist are gearing up for the release of their debut full-length album ‘Prophetic Blasphemy’, an album with an epic story of cosmic treason and revenge, on a backdrop of some of Europe’s most crushing and frenzied modern deathcore. Today they present the second single '... To the Sound of Madness' - watch the accompanying music video above. Vocalist Alex Hall Kristensen muses:- “'...To The Sound of Madness' is a track where we truly combined all our influences - from the frenzied blackened passages to the hard-hitting breakdowns and slams that for sure will make people move. Lyrically, the song explores the remains of the story’s fallen empire, and how it keeps spiralling further into despair even though the evil that influenced its downfall is gone." Since being formed in 2016, Hanging The Nihilist has played shows with bands such as Shokran, Imminence, MØL, Cabal, among others. After the release of their EP ‘Crow’, the six-piece debuted at the UK metal scene with their performance at TECH METAL FEST 2019, with headliners DYING FETUS, MONUMENTS and LEPROUS. The coming debut album marks a new level of ambition and direction for the band, revealing what the hard-hitting six-piece has to offer the world of extreme metal. ‘Prophetic Blasphemy’ has been recorded and produced by renowned sound engineer Chris Kreutzfeldt (CABAL, Unseen Faith, MØL) and is set to be released on June 3rd through Prime Collective. The new single '... To the Sound of Madness' is available on all streaming services. Japanese metal band Bridear have returned with news of their brand new album, Aegis Of Athena, coming next month, alongside an earth-shaking single. ‘Ray Of Chaos’ soars in on feedback and a crushing riff, before unfolding into a melodic epic with the kind of guitar punch that metal fans will love… all topped off with Kimi’s sweetly sensual vocals.
Aegis of Athena is a blistering 11-track opus perfectly blending traditional heavy metal, progressive arrangements, and addictive J-rock hooks. Kimi describes the new album as “an ambitious balance of what inspires us – the new wave of British heavy metal and traditional hard rock bands with strong melodies,” while bassist Haru claims “The arrangements and song writing are really powerful. It will be amazing to play these new songs live!” And ‘Ray Of Chaos’ is a brilliant example of what makes this new album such a huge leap on for the band. “It’s definitely one of our best songs,” says rhythm guitarist Ayumi. “It's a powerful declaration of carving our path and getting the last laugh on those who never believed in us. Bluesy and heavy guitar riffs with a strength conveyed in the lead vocals unlike anything we have done.” Aegis Of Athena is the band’s fifth album, and the second to be available internationally via their deal with Setsuzoku Records. Having become the first Japanese band to tour internationally since the pandemic struck, they won huge amounts of British and European fans last autumn whilst touring their critically acclaimed Bloody Bride album. That record showcased to international fans Bridear’s metallic sonic assault and stunning technical prowess, marrying sincere lyrics with blazing guitars and insatiable pop hooks. Brimming with big riffs and even bigger hooks all tastefully laced with modern metal characteristics, both Aegis Of Athena and Bloody Bride feature furious thrash passages, blistering lead lines and irresistible melodic sensibilities, showcasing J-metal like you’ve never heard it before. Band Statement : "Ave populus, we have some good news to share with you! We have signed with Wormholedeath records for our upcoming 3rd album "Furor Belli" which will be released this spring! Stay tuned for more information and stay Roman." Speaking of the upcoming release, the band explain: "Ave populus, Furor Belli is a more raw and more direct album than the 2 previous ones. This is mainly due to the new line-up. Indeed François (guitar) and Harsh (keyboards) left the band in 2020. Cedric joined the band as a guitarist and we decided not to have keyboards anymore. So the music became more raw, more brutal and more direct. But it remains at the same time melodic. Cedric has fully contributed to the writing of the album since his arrival and his style has been perfectly integrated. His great rhythmic ability has elevated the martial nature of the music! This album is a good mix of Black, Death and Thrash in an old school style. The music and lyrics on this album reflect the trials and tribulations of the last 2 years due to the pandemic and the line-up change. Rage, frustration, anger but also hope and friendship have forged Furor Belli. And for the 1st time we have 2 guests on 2 different songs which gives even more diversity to our music. As always with Deos, the themes are based on the history of Rome, but these same themes are still relevant today. They are the reflection of the life of the band and the current world context. The lyrics are more thoughtful and more personal even if they can seem more brutal, more cruel and more warlike than those of the 2 other albums. Now you just have to joins us and discover it ." Playing "Roman Extreme Metal" style, the band Deos was formed in May 2014 by Fabio Battistella, Jack Graved and Loïc Depauwe. They wish to combine the sounds of Black and Death Metal with their passion for ancient Rome, which through the lyrics, graphics and stage play. After some shows in Annecy, Chambéry, Saint-Etienne or Geneva, their first album, Ghosts of the Empire, was released in December 2015 and conquered the Rhône-Alpes public with a fast, heavy and melodic style. In September 2016, with a new keyboardist, Deos starts the recording of its second album whose artwork is entrusted to Brice Cumin and mastering to J.-F. Dagenais at JFD Studio (Kataklysm, Ex Deo). The following year, the band signed to Buil2kill Records and the second album In Nomine Romae was released in October 2017. From 11 to 15 October of the same year the band performs with the Italians of ADE during the "Rising Across the Alps tour ", followed by the " Bellum In Helvetia tour " as well as for several dates in France and in Switzerland during the year 2018. At the beginning of 2019, Deos plays with Scuorn and Kyterion during the "Parthenope European tour". The band also participates in the first album of the Greek-Roman singer Ellenika by writing the track The Goddess and the Warrior. At the end of the year, they record an acoustic EP offering a selection of their first two albums. During the year 2020 Harsh (keyboards) and François (guitar) left the band. Cedric "Cedd" Boehm was hired as the 2nd guitarist. The year 2021 is dedicated to the composition and recording of the 3rd album Furor Belli. The mastering is once again entrusted to J-F Dagenais at JFD Studio, and the artwork to Brice Cumin. The band changes label and signs with WormHoleDeath. The release is planned for spring 2022 and will be followed by the North Imperial Tour MMXXII. DEOS are:
deos-official.bandcamp.com/releases Finnish love metal pioneer, Ville Valo, will release new single, "Loveletting," on April 8 under the VV banner. "Loveletting" is taken from VV's forthcoming debut album Neon Noir. He explains, "As fun as the funeral rites for HIM were, it took me more than a few moons to lick my wounds in the shadow of the Heartagram and come up with an excuse to strum and hum again. Eventually, I decided to put a leash on my beloved black dog and we started howling together instead of barking at each other. That's how 'Loveletting' was born." "Loveletting" will be made available across all digital platforms from midnight (local time) tonight. An official video clip will follow tomorrow 11am ET here. VV's debut album Neon Noir is scheduled for release in early 2023; belonging to the same forlorn world of woe and whimsy once conceived and governed by Valo in HIM, VV arrives with additional nuanced notes of a fine aged Cabernet. Valo adds, "Artistically speaking, the main difference between HIM and VV is the extra line in the Heartagram, but what an exquisite line it is! It's the Mamas and the Papas dressed up as Metallica on their way to a Halloween bash at the Studio 54, and now who wouldn't want to witness that?" Further details around Neon Noir will be released in due course. In the meantime, fans are invited to any number of VV's headline tour dates taking place next year across Europe, the UK, and North America. Naturally starting in Helsinki, Finland, the 2023 extensive run reaches the UK in March, before heading to America come April. U.S. tickets will be available for purchase from Friday, April 15 at 10am local time. NORTH AMERICAN 2023 TOUR DATES:
https://www.facebook.com/theheartagram Canadian progressive death metallers Truent to release 'Through The Vale Of Earthly Torment' in June8/4/2022 Canadian progressive death metal quintet Truent will self-release their full-length debut album, "Through The Vale of Earthly Torment", on June 17. The official video for album track "The Last Hunt" is available at: youtu.be/i9slBGYesLc Born in a small town outside of Vancouver, BC, Truent is an exhilarating Canadian metal act on the rise. Combining massive riffs, head-spinning technicality, and sharp song writing, Truent has crafted a crushing brand of groove-laden progressive death metal that is uniquely their own. The band has released the following statement concerning the forthcoming new album: "Written and recorded while the world was being ravaged by the pandemic, Through the Vale of Earthly Torment was an exercise in escapism for us from the grim realities of life in turbulent times. While not a concept album in the traditional sense, we turned to themes of mythology and lore, exploring how people from all corners of the globe across all time periods have used myths to create vivid descriptions of their values. Each song centres itself around a creature or deity, and each of these entities are made to represent one of the seven deadly vices, giving the album a consistent through-line to follow. Musically, we expanded our sound with influences from all across the heavy music spectrum in order to create the most dynamic record we could. The songs weave together pummelling and technical riffs, triumphant choruses, and a number of oddball moments that hit seemingly from nowhere. There’s a wide mix of subgenres and sounds we explore throughout the album, often within the same song. We incorporate elements of everything from tech death to thrash metal to metallic hardcore into the records core sound of groove-filled progressive death metal. We do not want to be an easy band to categorize, and we feel this record is our most diverse work to date." Album Credits:

It’s time to put on your pirate hat and inflate your rubber ducks, because the world-famous Pirate Metal Drinking Crew, Alestorm, have just set sail on a new voyage with their seventh studio album, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum, set for release on June 24, 2022 via Napalm Records. Pre-orders start now! Alongside its pre-order kick-off, Alestorm have released the charging first single from the new album, “Magellan’s Expedition” – an epic quest telling the tale of Ferdinand Magellan’s historical circumnavigation of the earth in 1522. The official video was filmed on location in a castle, features tons of pyro, and of course, a huge yellow laser-eyed rubber duck fighting a young maiden warrior, transforming her into a real, beautiful duck! Featuring majestic orchestral backing, whirling folky violins and huge Latin choirs, this song is classic Alestorm like you haven’t heard in years – a real throwback to the early days of Captain Morgan’s Revenge! The band spent two years during the lockdown going insane and frantically dredging up the craziest pirate metal anthems from their treasure chest of ideas, and have created the most epic and serious (yes, serious) sounding Alestorm album you’ve ever heard. From the symphonic choir-powered “Magellan’s Expedition” to the rousing anthem “Under Blackened Banners” featuring intense technical riffing and exquisite solo duels, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum is a real throwback to the early days of Captain Morgan’s Revenge. But fans of the modern Alestorm sound need not worry either – there’s plenty of party mood in the aptly-named future hit song “P.A.R.T.Y.”, and the high speed, insane folk metal banger “Cannonball” has the most ridiculous and offensive lyrics you’ve ever heard in a pirate metal song (making “Fucked With an Anchor” sound tame).
As an extra special treat for the die-hard collector fans, some special editions come with a full acoustic rendition of the entire album, and there’s even a legendary version of the album FOR DOGS once again. In the Wooden Box only, there is a special 7” Single vinyl, including “Christmas with Alestorm” and “Nyár Van”. Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum will be available in the following formats:
