Russian metalcore outfit Forget My Silence has released a new music video for the title track off their upcoming record, Fall To Rise. The new single produced by Cameron Mizell (Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire) brings out melodic but powerful riffs and shines on a mix of soulful yet heavy vocals.
"'Fall To Rise' is the main song from the album. The title holds the history of my life and our band. We are all working on ourselves to get better at what we do. Not always was everything perfect, we faced many fails and hard times, but they only made us stronger and actually made us better. 'Fall To Rise' is story of how people who step over, will fall against those who have already fell before and learned their mistakes, and by their turn they will rise again, only stronger, and they all keep the circle of falling and rising going. This song will be kind of the beginning of new chapters in our story." - Vocalist, Roma Sadygov
Forget My Silence is a post-hardcore/metalcore band from Saint-Petersburg, Russia formed in august 2011 by vocalist Roma Sadygov. Shortly after, the band released their first music video for the single "This is only the beginning," which has since reached nearly five million views on YouTube. In November 2013, they released their debut EP Lifeline and toured around Russia, gaining a passionate following of fans before releasing the the single “Not Perfect” in 2014. The following year the band released “Virtual Privacy” (produced by Cameron Mizell) from their upcoming debut full-length Fall to Rise.
"This album is a half-way stop between our early 'metal' stuff and more nu-metal sound we've dug into recently,” says guitarist Elia Solonnikov. “Simple, but powerful riffs, some harsh vocals, more soulful lyrics than Roma has ever written. If you liked Forget My Silence before, you won't be disappointed.”

Turkish progressive death metal band Carnac return with 9 hard and heavy tracks on their new album, Times Undone. This is an intense and guttural experience, greatly expanding on the bands original sound and marks another step in the constant evolution of the 5 members of the group. The recent lyrics video for Cessation, the opening track for the album, is an excellent example of where Carnac are heading and great way to kick start the album.
Times Undone takes on the story of a daughter escaping with her father from the invasion of their land by hordes, while gradually losing her friends and loved ones to sacrifice, rape and much more. The 46-minute effort blends death metal and black metal in a progressive manner. It also sees the band adapt a much darker sound.
The album was mixed and mastered by Achilleas Kalantzis (Aenaon, Katavasia, Varathron) and will be released in digital format via Sliptrick Records. Physical copies will follow at a later date.

Nervecell have set August 25th as the release date for their forthcoming third album "Past, Present...Torture". The album will be released through Lifeforce Records in most part of the world, while Metal East Records is handling the release in the Middle East region.
WATCH THE FULL TRACK AUDIO TEASER FOR THE NEW SONG "PROXY WAR" HERE
It is a fine line to combine brutality, technical requirements and harsh accessibility in such a way, that the result leads to extreme songs, which listeners like to hear and which they can remember.
Nervecell master that impressively. The addition of Middle-Eastern folklore accents contributes a decisive part to this. The Dubai-based band is, above all, an uncompromising Death Metal band, but the charm of the “special ingredients” always resonates. And this is how Nervecell find to musical differentiation. “Past, Present…Torture” marks the group’s third full-length and is the successor of “Psychogenocide” from 2011.
“Past, Present…Torture” was mixed & mastered by Wojtek and Slawek Wiesawski at Hertz Studios (BEHEMOTH, DECAPITATED, VADER) in Poland, the cover artwork was created by Colin Marks of Rain Song Design (ORIGIN, EXODUS, WHITECHAPEL). The album consists of 13 tracks and is the most extreme and versatile NERVECELL record to date. The title speaks for itself, focusing on the state of the world and where we are all headed as a civilization. “Past, Present…Torture” serves as a concise summary for both, the lyrical message and the musical direction. Offering unpleasant truths and a rigorous death metal sound. Just as you know and expect from the beast from the Middle East...NERVECELL!

It's their jubilee year! 35 years of Tankard!
And a suitable soundtrack can’t be neglected for the occasion. The band's 17th studio album entitled ‘One Foot In The Grave’ will be released on June 2nd, 2017 via Nuclear Blast.
But one week before its release, the iconic Frankfurt-based thrashers will celebrate another remarkable milestone in their career; all of Frankfurt are currently looking forward to the German cup final against Borussia Dortmund at Berlin's Olympic Stadium on May 27th. 30,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans will be there following their team, and everyone able to watch the match will see Tankard's performance of the club anthem 'Schwarz-weiß wie Schnee' about 30 minutes before kick-off, in front of the Frankfurt stands!
The band has launched an official trailer for this special event over on YouTube here.
The club anthem 'Schwarz-weiß wie Schnee' was recorded and released on a Tankard EP in 2006; the band already had the chance to perform the song in the stadium of the German cup final against Bayern Munich that same year. Since that day, the track can be heard before every Eintracht Frankfurt home game. A re-release of the previously mentioned sold-out EP is tentatively scheduled for autumn 2017.
Romania based Funeral Doom Metal combo Descend into Despair released the first single, Alone with My Thoughts, taken off their upcoming studio album, Synaptic Veil, in form of a lyric video now online here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw3HmwQ5PQk
Synaptic Veil will be released on the 5th of June and is now available for pre-orders here:
- digital: https://loudragemusic.bandcamp.com/album/descend-into-despair-synaptic-veil
- physical (CD): http://shop.loudragemusic.com/-pre-order-descend-into-despair-synaptic-veil
The original cover artwork for Synaptic Veil is signed by talented local artist Maria Elisabeta Cucu.
Here’s what the band had to say about their latest effort, Synaptic Veil:
“our latest effort to date, is also our most articulate endeavour so far. The veil here is ambiguous and double-sided: “objective” reality imposes a layer of limitations onto our mental landscape; but our inner, “subjective” reality lays a veil of concepts on top of the physical reality as a coping mechanism.”
“Calvin: If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I’ll bet they’d live a lot differently.
Hobbes: How so?
Calvin: Well, when you look into infinity, you realize that there are more important things than what people do all day.”
This quote from Bill Watterson’s iconic comic strip “Calvin and Hobbes”, resumes accurately Dephosphorus’ intentions.
With 6 vinyl releases spanning from 2011 to 2015, the Athenians are embarked on a cosmic quest. Their concept and aesthetics draw influences from cosmology, astronomy and science fiction literature, as well as the associated sociopolitical and existential repercussions.
Being impossible to describe their music style by using one or two genre references, they have chosen to call it “astrogrind”.
“Impossible Orbits” is Dephosphorus’ 3rd album and their darker and more violent effort to date – both musically and lyrically. Its 9 tracks clocking at under 30’, see them return to a more condensed form of expression, not unlike their critically acclaimed “Axiom” debut mini-LP.
The similarities with the latter do not stop there, as Panos Alexiadis is again on board handling the live electronics and putting an extra eerie touch to the record’s atmosphere.
Check out the first excerpt, “Rational Reappraisal”, which can be streamed at Selfmadegod Records SoundCloud or YouTube channel, as well as Dephosphorus’ Bandcamp page.
“Impossible Orbits” has been recorded and mixed analogically at Unreal Studios. The artwork has been hand drawn by Viral Graphics.
Notorious grindcore label from Poland, Selfmadegod Records, will release CD and cassette version on June 15th 2017. Digital copies will be available directly though the band’s Bandcamp page. A vinyl edition will follow later this year.
