Finnish modern thrash metal act Justice Theory has released a new EP “When the Lights Are Fading” and a music video for the opening track "All for Nothing". Previously Justice Theory released three singles, and played at the Finnish Metal Festival Jalometalli 2016 edition, warming up the stage for bands like Anthrax. The first EP release from the band presents three tracks of catchy and aggressive thrash metal with tight riffs and unique vocal work. The lyrical themes on When the Lights Are Fading are about the degeneration of humankind in perished world where nothing feels the same anymore. "When we notice that we are actually completely numb it's already too late. As the time is running short. The lights are about to go out." The frontman Valtteri Saharinen sum up the message. Shadow Kingdom Records sets October 26th as the international release date for Iron Void's highly anticipated third album, Excalibur, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats. A mainstay of the UK doom metal scene, Excalibur is the album by which Iron Void will truly be launched onto the world stage. Iron Void was originally formed by Jonathan "Sealey" Seale and Andy Whittaker (Solstice, The Lamp of Thoth) in 1998 in order to create an old-school doom metal band, worshipping at the altar of doom legends such as Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Pentagram, etc. The band reformed in 2008, with the current line-up consisting of Jonathan "Sealey" Seale (bass & vocals), Steve Wilson (guitars & vocals), and Richard Maw (drums). Iron Void's debut EP, Spell of Ruin, was originally released on CD in 2010 and re-released in 2012 via Doomanoid Records. Their self-titled debut full-length album was released on CD in 2014 via Barbarian Wrath and released on limited-edition vinyl by Fear Me! Music in 2015. The critically acclaimed second album, Doomsday - recorded & produced at Skyhammer Studio by Chris Fielding (Conan, Winterfylleth, Electric Wizard) and mastered by James Plotkin - was released on CD via Doomanoid Records in 2015 and released on limited gatefold vinyl via Fear Me! Music in 2016. With considerable live action in the past few years as well, and encouraged by the critical acclaim heaped upon Doomsday, Iron Void patiently set to work on Excalibur. Arguably the band's magnum opus, Excalibur is an epic behemoth of Arthurian legend, emitting an atmosphere that's truly medieval whilst sacrificing whilst sacrificing none of their trademark DOOMED-OUT heaviness. Here, across the album's massive yet strangely concise 48 minutes, Iron Void weave old-as-time tales of myth and magic, all set to rumbling, dramatically dynamic doom metal. The album is sequenced together with a subtle sort of mastery, taking the listener on a journey into centuries past, all concluding with the stark 'n' stirring acoustic closer "Avalon." As the final notes ring out, you'll be reaching for the calendar to check what year it is! Hear for yourself with the previously revealed track "The Coming of a King" HERE at Shadow Kingdom's Bandcamp, where the album can also be pre-ordered. Beyond Forgiveness is a Symphonic Metal band from Colorado Springs, US. Reformed in 2014, the group is on a focused quest to embody the full meaning of the label “symphonic”, through the composition of lush classical orchestras, choirs, and operatic vocals colliding with heavy and aggressive metal. After a period of composing original music and working through the process of finding the right line-up, the band found traction in 2016 with the current line-up including founding members Greg Witwer and Richard Marcus on guitars and heavy vocals, Sean Rogers on Drums, and Talia Hoit as lead vocalist and orchestral composer. The band released its debut EP, The Ferryman’s Shore, in February 2016. Boosted by favourable reviews from reputable critics and airplay on internet radio stations, Beyond Forgiveness produced an intro video for YouTube and an official music video for the song, Dust to Dust. Right on the heels of the EP, the band performed a short tour in Europe as well as in the Colorado area an the band’s full length album, The Great Wall followed, with a release in the fall of 2017 and another music video for the song, Sanctuary. In the spring of 2018, the band added bassist Jim Lasselle to the line-up, and Beyond Forgiveness is currently composing their second full-length album for an expected worldwide release in the spring of 2019 via Sliptrick Records. Many continents can lay claim to being formative breeding grounds for various pieces of the extreme metal puzzle, but perhaps none were such a melting pot as South America in the 1980s. Bands in Brazil, Chile, and other countries pushed thrash metal to its limits until it blurred into what would later be known as black and death metal, and dressed the whole thing in extreme expressions of occultism and hellfire. With that bed of influence bubbling beneath them, modern-day thrashers Hellish make perfect sense: tightened and refined (but only barely), without diminishing any of the speed-freak tendencies or punkish intensity of their predecessors, and certainly no less devoted to the left hand path. Coming out of Santiago, Chile in the 2010s, Hellish previously made believers out of thrash fans worldwide with their Unspeakable Axe-released debut, Grimoire. Only two years later, the follow-up album manages to out-pace and out-riff what came before. Classic speed metal-style riffs cut through an atmosphere of evil worthy of Bathory or Possessed - this is formative stuff, once again splashing around in the dark murk between thrash and black metal, and even straight-up heavy metal in the occasional, surprisingly melodic lead parts. But make no mistake: Hellish worship at the twin altars of evil and velocity, and The Spectre of Lonely Souls is a sermon strictly for the already-converted. www.facebook.com/Hellishchile/ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com unspeakableaxerecords.bandcamp.com/ www.facebook.com/unspeakableaxerecords https://twitter.com/UARMetal Helldprod Records announces August 7th as the international release date for a special EP from Japan's legendary Abigail, Far East Black Metal Onslaught, on 7" vinyl format. The ancient hordes of Abigail are back to raise the flag of eternal blasphemy upon the rising sun. Far East Black Metal Onslaught stands for the apocalypse soundtrack yet to come in order to become the unholy nation for these antichrist warriors of doom. Side to side with the hellish beast, they spread chaos, war, and desecration throughout the chaste and pure once again. Get ready to praise and bow to the Abigail knights swallowing darkness and furious thrashing madness while the impious celebrate the alcohol from Satan's chalice! Begin drinking from that chalice with the new track "Nuclear Hammer" HERE at Helldprod's Soundcloud. Pre-order info can be found HERE. Malta's long-running death metallers Beheaded, by far the island’s biggest metal export, have signed a record deal with Agonia Records. The band is currently gearing up to perform as a co-headliner at this year's Metalgate Czech Death Fest in Czech Republic, on the 16th of June. On signing with Agonia, Beheaded's vocalist Frank Calleja commented:- "The unholy alliance between Beheaded and Agonia Records has begun for us to carry forward the legacy of the beast and let the horror breathe. DEATH IS COMING". Beheaded' rolled into life in 1991 with Malta as a backdrop to its caustic roots of death metal. Drawing inspiration from death metal hailing from Europe and the US at that time, and diving head on in the tape trading, zine and snail mail networks, Beheaded' furnaced its demo "Souldead" in 1995. With its strong statement and character, both European and worldwide record deals preceded the final cementation of the band as a placeholder in the extreme music scene. With six official releases under its belt, respect was gained through the energetic live set tying its relentlessness to its pure death metal inner sanctum. Several tours and festivals in Europe, US and Asia have channelled this thick skinned aural punishment to crowds all over, bringing more devoted followers in this death metal cult. Years ahead have taken the tinge of freshened vigour; BEHEADED is ready to deliver death metal of the highest calibre. Beheaded' released its last album "Beast Incarnate" via Unique Leader Records in 2017.
