Legendary Spanish doom metallers Golgotha, have just signed a deal with Xtreem Music for the release of their long-awaited 4th album, 14 years after their previous effort "New Life", released in 2005. This new album has just been recorded and it's in the process of being mixed and is set to be released on October 2019. Golgotha emerged in 1992 from the union between its two legendary original members: guitarist Vicente Payá (Unbounded Terror) and vocalist Amón López, who are still the alma mater of the band with the new drummer Tomeu Crespí. The 1st EP "Caves of Mind" was indeed the 1st release of Repulse Records, now known as Xtreem Music, which closes the circle 25 years later! The new album, which will feature 8 tracks in the vein of the 1st album "Melancholy", is being recorded and mixed in the Psychosomatic Recording Studio by producer Miguel Angel Riutort "Mega", and the band plans to launch a crowdfunding campaign one month before the official release, where they will offer a series of limited editions on CD, vinyl and T-shirts, which will be announced in due time. Golgotha plans to offer a series of live performances to present the new album after its release. In addition to the official Facebook page, www.facebook.com/GolgothaOfficialBand, Golgotha are premiering their new official website at www.golgothaofficial.com, where all the information regarding the band is concentrated. More details to be announced once the recording process and artwork design is completed. Meanwhile, you can listen to the latest recording of Golgotha, the self-released 2018 EP "Arise", at the following location: https://youtu.be/SP4xxv879nQ

Belarusian instrumental black metal trio Krvvla set release date for their new (maxi) single21/6/2019 Belarusian instrumental black metal trio krvvla is about to release their new (maxi) single. Keeping true to the tradition of one-letter album titles, the band named their upcoming track "T". This is krvvla’s 5th release since their formation in 2015. The track features a mixture of black and death metal that sounds more like a dialogue between the two subgenres rather than their fusion. The single is set to be released on July 5, 2019 and will be available on all music streaming platforms. Check out the teaser right now:- https://youtu.be/9krr7y6-H1k krvvla is a three-piece instrumental black metal band based in Minsk, Belarus. Formed in 2015, the band has already released 4 EPs and shared the stage with such bands as Hexis, Wiegedood, Celeste, and Furia. Even though they've been playing together for only 4 years, each of the band members has at least a decade of experience in playing in various local bands (Crown For the Rat King, Coat, Barrow, Sen Deni, Scenario, Challenger Deep). https://www.facebook.com/krvvla/ https://www.instagram.com/krvvla/ https://www.last.fm/music/krvvla https://soundcloud.com/krvvla https://www.songkick.com/artists/9419464-krvvla https://www.bandsintown.com/krvvla https://vk.com/krvvla UK black-metal outfit Necronautical have announced details of their latest offering, new album ‘Apotheosis’, set for release on 30th August through world-renowned extreme metal label Candlelight Records. The album was recorded, mixed & mastered by British producer Chris Fielding (Winterfylleth, Witchsorrow, Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard) at Skyhammer Studio. Adorned by the foreboding artwork of David Thiérrée (Behemoth, Gorgoroth), 'Apotheosis' serves as a sonic epitaph to the human experiences of hope and faith. It details a melancholic journey through an empty and brutal existence, taking inspiration from the works of Friedrich Nietzsche, Chuck Palanuik and Neil Gaiman. 'Nihil Sub Sole Novum’ is the first single to be shared from Apotheosis with the band adding, "We feel that this song acts as a perfect microcosm for the direction of the album and of Necronautical itself: a relentless combination of punishing riffs and melancholic euphoria. The title translates as “nothing new under the sun”, directly challenging the conclusion of Ecclesiastes 1:9, and instead seeking to elevate the bleak and repetitive nature of life and humanity to the dais reserved for its gods. The song draws on the concepts of anamnesis and of a mythical pre-human golden age, and asks if such rediscovered knowledge can break the monotony of existence.” Listen to 'Nihil Sub Sole Novum’ - https://necronautical.lnk.to/Apotheosis Watch the official 'Nihil Sub Sole Novum’ - https://youtu.be/zQqHCATA3AI Necronautical, literally meaning “relating to the exploration of death”, was initially formed as a recording only project in 2014 by founders Naut, Carcarrion and Anchorite. The trio recorded, produced and released their debut album 'Black Sea Misanthropy' that same year. The album received high praise from listeners and critics alike, and quickly established Necronautical as one of the most promising and unique projects in the UK's flourishing Black Metal scene. The album caught the attention of the newly resurrected Cacophonous Records, who signed Necronautical for the release of their second album. The trio recruited Slugh on drums in 2015 and set about preparing for their first live performances, as well as recording their sophomore album. Necronautical released 'The Endurance at Night' in 2016, along with a video for the single 'Nihilartikel'. Marking a vast expansion upon the band's sound, concept and vision, the album received great critical acclaim, and saw the band featured in magazines such as Metal Hammer, Kerrang! and Powerplay, among many others. Necronautical made their live debut opening for Dark Funeral at London's Underworld in 2016. Quickly gaining a loyal following from their immersive live performances, the band went on to play many concerts nationwide, before being invited to join Winterfylleth, Wiegedood and Fen for a 14 date tour of Europe and the United Kingdom in 2017. Necronautical kicked off their live calendar in 2018 by performing at Inferno Festival in Norway, and also appeared at Mammothfest, Incineration Festival, and the Blackwood Gathering. The track hails from the band's highly anticipated debut album, Anacronía, set for international release on July 8th via Dying Victims Productions. Hear Hemisferio's "Hasta Encontrarte" in its entirety exclusively HERE. Hailing from the cult metal hotbed of Chile, Hemisferio have been prodigiously perfecting their iron-clad craft since 2015. A couple singles kicked off their heavy metal march, soon followed by a split tape with Chilean comrades Asedio in 2016. With momentum building, those early singles found their way onto 7" vinyl format, that same year, and then capped off by rough 'n' rowdy live album. Afterwards, vocalist Pedro Antonio departed and was replaced by Carlos Contador. With that lineup firmly in place, Hemisferio make their grand entrance onto the worldwide stage with Anacronía. Suitably, this debut album encapsulates all the magic, mystery, and might of their aesthetic thus far, except rendered in rich, era-authentic analog. Indeed, Hemisferio create a truly ancient sound that encompasses many early '80s metals: the NWOBHM taking creative flight, the first rustic rumblings of the contemporaneous US power metal scene, Teutonic metal burning brightly in the night before revving into thrash overdrive, and even Scandinavia's oft-overlooked contribution to the heavy metal lexicon during this era. However, even in their native tongue, Hemisferio's passion pours forth across each of these nine anthems in the making, with moody-yet-majestic solos flying fast and free, underpinned by a subtle yet no less dynamic rhythm section. And as prefaced by the preceding single from last year, Carlos Contador proves to be a commanding frontman, his tone and delivery bleeding the hard-fought/wrought pathos intrinsic to early, working-class metal. Gaze into the crystal ball, raise thy sword, and rev that motorcycle, for Hemisferio have arrived with Anacronía! Hear the next sound of that arrival with the new track "Hasta Encontrarte" exclusively HERE, courtesy of Legacy, Germany's defenders of the true. Abbinormal was originally formed in 1996. The writing of their songs has always been inspired by the philosophy of US crossover group S.O.D.; to produce tracks with a crossover of short and direct styles, with arrogant and irony-filled texts …after recording a demo a few months later, the band promptly disintegrated. More than 20 years down the road, guitarist Max, with the intention of honouring the pieces written in the past and never published, decides to reform the band with new members. With Eric (vocals and keyboards), Marco (bass) and LKT, a young, powerful and promising drummer, the band write 7 more pieces and rearrange the old songs from the first unpublished demo. The result is a record entitled 1996, containing 16 short metal crossover songs with thrash, grind and death metal influences and a total duration of just over 23 minutes. Even the artist’s choice for the album cover was not accidental: completely drawn with a pen, it is the work of Davide Scianca, a Milanese artist, visionary and openly influenced by the great master H.R. Giger. The basic idea for creating the cover was made by associating a single word associated with each track that composes the album. The end result embodies the insane vision of Abbinormal. 1996 | Released TBA 2019 via Sliptrick Records Abbinormal are: Eric – Vocals/Keyboards Max – Guitars Marco – Bas LKT – Drum Band links: Facebook | Youtube | Instagram | On Sliptrick Russian Pagan Metallers Intothecrypt stream Ordo MCM debut via "Legacy" magazine's website21/6/2019 Russian pagan metallers Intothecrypt stream the entirety of their striking debut album, Vakor, at Legacy magazine's website. Set for international release on June 21st via Ordo MCM, hear Intothecrypt's Vakor in its entirety exclusively HERE. Although an otherwise-new name, having been formed in 2016 as a studio project, Intothecrypt feature members of Russian cult band Scald: guitarist Ivan "Harald" Sergeev, bassist/vocalist Ilia "Velingor" Timashev, and drummer Aleksand “Ottar” Kudryashov, all of whom also played in Russian folk metal band Tumulus. The main goal of Intothecrypt is to create dark, extreme music which includes elements of Scald, Bathory, old-school doom/death, black metal, and Northern folk music. So, one could understand Intothecrypt as an extension of where Scald could've gone but also a separate entity unto itself. Uniquely, Intothecrypt's lyrics are based on a peculiar combination of Slavic and Finno-Ugric mythologies which emerged in the North and North East regions of Ancient Rus when Slavs settled there and made contact with Finno-Ugrians and their culture. The songs are written from the viewpoint of a shaman who lived at a crossroads of cultures and combined both Slavic and Finno-Ugric believes and magical practices. Some of Intothecrypt's lyrics are in English; the rest of them are based on Ancient Russian grammar, with the use of Ancient Russian, Finno-Ugric and Russian dialectal vocabulary. A significant contribution to the music of Intothecrypt was made by Gervald (project KI.EN.GI) and other guest musicians. In 2017, Intothecrypt created a four-song demo. A year later, the band finished their debut album, Vakor. Epic and expansive, Vakor creates a colourful canvas during its hour-long duration, with its kaleidoscopic landscape taking in pagan metal, folk, prog, traditional black/death, and of course that magical touch of Scald and their pagan-era forebears Bathory. Each of the album's ten main songs weaves a fantastical spell that immediately penetrates the soul and stirs the imagination. At once, Intothecrypt is emblematic of Russia's reigning pagan metal paradigm and defiant of it, creating a tapestry of glory entirely their own. Apart from the main members of Intothecrypt – Harald, Velingor, and Ottar – the following musicians took part in recording this album: Gervald on sound effects, percussion, and backing vocals and Marina Sokolova of Sedmaya Voda on vocals, altogether making for a truly unique and collaborative experience. Completed by Andrey Andreev’s cover artwork, Intothecrypt's Vakor is a timeless tale of past, present, and perhaps future! The track hails from the band's brand-new EP, Heavy Metal Macht, set for international release on July 8th via Dying Victims Productions. Hear Spiker's "Kommando" in its entirety exclusively HERE. Ever aptly titled, Heavy Metal Macht is indeed pure German metal THUNDER! No thrash, no speed, just simple (and simply stunning) HEAVY METAL brewed in the cauldrons of old, all delivered in Spiker's mother tongue, as a nod to the old GDR metal bands that also sang in German. Classy and cruising whilst emitting a touch of rowdiness that's intrinsic to the Teutonic rivethead ethos, here on Heavy Metal Macht do this young quartet of old souls charge into the night with gusto and panache, armed to the teeth with anthems of indelible steel. Granted, Spiker can certainly kick up the pace when they want to, but their thrust isn't strictly speed metal per se, but rather a hook-intensive sort somewhere between early Living Death and classic Tank, Germany's Warrant and Strong Arm of the Law-era Saxon. You've been warned about their Heavy Metal Macht! The next warning comes in the form of the new track "Kommando," which can be heard exclusively HERE, courtesy of the NWOTHM YouTube channel.
