Switzerland's Antiversum sets release date for Invictus debut album; reveals first track

29/7/2017

Picture

Invictus Productions have set September 29th as the international release date for Antiversum's highly anticipated debut album, Cosmos Comendti. Formed in 2010 by dedicated and experienced musicians in the Swiss metal scene, Antiversum is a nihilistic entity which creates a disturbing and storming amalgamation of black, doom, and death metal, manifesting the end of the universe and the dawn of nothingness in audial waves. They began that journey into the void in the spring of 2015, when Invictus released the band's debut demo, Total Vacuum, to international acclaim. As a title, Total Vacuum indeed served as the foundation on which Antiversum would create their idiosyncratic vortex of violence.

However, as mighty as Total Vacuum was (and still is), now arrives Cosmos Comendti to give a more vast 'n' virulent vision of that vortex. While the four tracks comprising Total Vacuum were towering in their own right, they are dwarfed by the four tracks that comprise the 38-minute Cosmos Comendti. Here, Antiversum stretch the spaces in between the void further, lurking within with a menace that's truly unsettling. As such, compositions seemingly surge and then disintegrate at will - and yet, the quintet wield an iron will toward every nuance, every texture, every single detail. It's a swarming swell of sound, one that could be deemed "cavernous" or "sepulchral" and other buzzwords in popular underground parlance, but the differentiating factor to Antiversum in general and Cosmos Comendti in particular is that there's a clearly articulated, deathly focused finesse to everything that happens; nothing is left to chance nor masked in absurd levels of reverb. Further, this swell cannot be conveniently slotted as strictly "death metal" or "black metal" or "doom": it simply IS.

Hark! For the cosmos-devouring debut album of Antiversum is at hand, and this anti-world is hereby titled Cosmos Comendti! Hear its first emanation from the void HERE at Invictus's Soundcloud with opening track "Antinova.

Canary Islanders Muert share new song "Olor A Muert" from their upcoming album!

Hear Muert’s new song “Olar A Muert” on youtube here!

Necro black metal from Tenerife! Muert is the dirt under your finger nails, Muert is Sonic insanity, Muert reeks of corpses because they fuck them. Ugly Blackness with nekro-inspired old school thrash riffs, no room for melody or emotions... to the death!

Picture

In a world that focuses on the beautiful and more transcendent meditative sides of black metal it's nice to have something that's so in your face. The demented blasphemies of Muert blast forward one incredible burst at a time, tearing you limb from limb and reminding you of the soul rending madness that these artists have been able to tap into. Ye Canariae Abezan is the sound of a band satisfied, reaching into the darkest corners of the genre and pulling up wonderfully demented new twists and turns to charm the listener.

Spain's Bloodhunter reveals first track from new Xtreem Music album

Spanish female-fronted death metallers Bloodhunter reveal the first single from their upcoming second album, The End of Faith, set for international release on October 16th through Xtreem Music. Entitled "Let the Storm Come," the single can be heard HERE and HERE.

Formed back in 2008, Bloodhunter is one of Spain's leading death metal forces. Led by virtuoso guitarist Fenris and vocalist Diva Satanica, the band released their debut album, Bloodhunter, back in 2014, where they started to create a solid fan-base around the country thanks to their strong live performances and high-quality death metal with a melodic & brutal edge.

Bloodhunter have now finished recording their second album, The End of Faith, whose line-up is completed with bassist Éadrom and magnificent session drummer Marcelo Aires. The result is fantastic and will definitely put Bloodhunter on the map as a force to reckon. Just imagine if Arch Enemy would play death metal - yes, death metal, not aggressive modern heavy metal - with a much more brutal approach.

"Let the Storm Come," the first track to be revealed from The End of Faith, can be heard at Xtreem's official YouTube channel HERE as well as at the label's Soundcloud HERE.

Based in Abtsgmünd, Germany, and active since 2008, skull-crushing death metal unit Necrotted have been killing it for many years now, both in the studio in recorded form and also during their countless energetic live performances throughout the years. On October 27th, 2017, the band will drop their 3rd full-length album entitled Worldwide Warfare through Rising Nemesis Records. Across ten ravenous songs, Worldwide Warfare aims to annihilate all who bear witness to its devastation. Doing so with a varied assault that superbly mixes brutality, speed, guitar shredding focused moments, and monstrous heaviness into a warped formula that only season death metal veterans like Necrotted can deliver.

Necrotted has this to say about Worldwide Warfare and the experience it has to offer:

"The southern German death metal brigade Necrotted is about to release its third full-length album. Worldwide Warfare is the title of the new record, which contains 10 socio-critical tracks about a global revolution, everlasting threats to society and the last war of mankind. Thrilling guitar riffs, high-speed blast beats and double bass attacks come upon stomping slam parts and catchy refrains, rounded off by deep, scratching vocals. Also for the third time, the songs were recorded and mixed by mastermind Nikita Kamprad (Der Weg Einer Freiheit). The album mastering was done by Benjamin Stelzer (Parasite Inc.) for the first time."

Chile's Oraculum sets release date for new Invictus mini-album; reveals first track

28/7/2017

Picture

Invictus Productions have set September 15th as the international release date for the brand-new mini-album of Chile's Oraculum, Always Higher. The Oraculum brethren incubate the raging pyre within the self, as a visionary element of utter omnipotence and unbreakable will. Designers of their own fiery path, never to be crossed, neither reached by traitors or prisoners of their ego. "Our blood is living fire feeding from your shame, scenting your trepidation with ease..."

Ever aptly titled, Always Higher is a true statement of intent, following Oraclum's critically acclaimed Sorcery of the Damned EP, released by Invictus in 2014. Always Higher stands a fierce manifestation of the primeval evil in man, bringing the principle of the conqueror as the true holder of wisdom, power, and conviction. Serving as an essential pillar in a world where the lack of spirit fools the sheep with hollow intentions and nothing valuable transcends, Oraculum hereby transcend their humble beginnings and assert their own intractable identity, unshackling themselves from influence but never forgetting the deepest truths death metal has taught them all these years. It is the full bounty of the ancient Metal of Death, fully steeped in metal AND death, maximized through sheer spirit and will. Blood and fire, Always Higher...

"Let the death metal hierarchy overwhelm the weak. We bow to none!" Bow before Oraculum's death metal hierarchy with the new track "Lex Talionis" HERE at Invictus' Soundcloud.

Australia's Ne Obliviscaris reveal first track and details of new album

Ne Obliviscaris are unveiling the first amazing track taken from their forthcoming masterpiece, 'Urn', which has been scheduled for release on October 27th. The Australian progressive extremists are available for interviews.

The song "Intra Venus" is presented by the band in the shape of a fascinating video clip at the link below, which can be freely published.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgUn4EKLMnU

Ne Obliviscaris frontman Tim Charles comments on behalf of the band: "After almost three years of honing our craft in every way that we possibly could, we finally present to you the first track from an album of which we could not be more proud of. 'Urn' feels like the culmination of all our years of hard work; the delivery of everything that we have wanted to create. Music and art as our imaginations see it fit to be. 'Intra Venus' is more concise than much of our work and is in fact the only song on 'Urn' under ten minutes, but one that we feel is a great introduction to the record. We hope that you will enjoy it."

Below you can view the uncensored European 'Urn' cover, which has been created by vocalist Xenoyr.

6. Urn (Part II) – As Embers Dance In Our Eyes

Ne Obliviscaris' third album, 'Urn' is bound to be a career defining moment. The Australian extreme prog shooting stars have honed and re-balanced the key elements of their unique sound to a razor sharp musical edge. The dynamic entwining of fierce growls and emotive clean vocals, the contrast between devastating et intricate guitar riffs and thundering drums against an unleashed violin and gorgeous string parts as well as the perfect blending of epic progressive and intense extreme metal forms of expression are all marking a new peak in the steep rise of the band.

Founded in the beautiful Australian coastal city of Melbourne, Victoria in the year 2003, Ne Obliviscaris took the inspiration for their name from the proud motto of Clan Campbell based in Argyll, Scotland, which means "forget not". From the start, this collective of exceptional musicians made it clear that they did not intend to follow any trends or walk on well-trodden paths. Their first demo, 'The Aurora Veil' (2007) had a massive impact in the metal underground far beyond the fifth continent and already their debut full-length 'Portal of I' (2012) reached mainstream music press, which praised a unique array of influences and the characteristic virtuoso violin.

Ne Obliviscaris immediately climbed remarkably higher on the ladder with sophomore opus 'Citadel' (2014) by adding avant-garde approaches including jazz, flamenco, progressive rock, and many other wide-ranged influences to their solid metal base.

Parallel to their success on a critical level and with an ever-growing host of die-hard fans, the Australians increased their reputation as an excellent live act with extensive touring literally around the globe. The financial base for this was laid by Ne Obliviscaris ground-breaking use of modern day crowd-funding campaigns. This includes an ongoing Patreon membership scheme under the moniker The Ne Obluminati, which is revolutionising the relationship between band and fans by using the ancient concept of patronage in today's democratic setting.

'Urn' will lift Ne Obliviscaris to the next level. Outstanding musicianship meets excellent songwriting and a firework of brilliant ideas. Evening out the scales between extreme and progressive metal, the Aussies carve their own path. Spin 'Urn' on heavy rotation and Ne Obliviscaris will take you to a whole new dimension of musical delights.

Cyprus' Nekhrah reveals debut album & title track “Cosmic Apostasy”

28/7/2017

Picture

On the eve of their performance at Power of the Night Festival, Cypriot death metallers Nekhrah reveal the title track of their debut album, Cosmic Apostasy, exclusively through No Clean Singing. Previously known as Impalement, the Mediterranean act will self-release their first full-length on 29 September 2017.

Stream the title track here: http://www.nocleansinging.com/2017/07/26/an-ncs-premiere-nekhrah-cosmic-apostasy/

Picture

Hailing from Nicosia, Cyprus the four-piece distinguished themselves locally through their signature and unique blend of spine-crushing riffs and melody topped with distinctive vocals. Nekhrah have released a home-recorded demo in 2014, under their former name and have currently completed recording their first full-length album entitled Cosmic Apostasy which was mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Music. The artwork of the album and the design of the band logo was done by Maciej Kamuda.

The band name “Nekhrah” is an Anglicised version of the Greek word “Νέκρα” which means “death” or “deadness” and/or “emptiness” in Greek.

The philosophy behind the band is Nihilistic. That is to say, the belief that existence is meaningless and that there is no inherent meaning in anything we do, think or experience. The lyrics revolve heavily around misanthropy, cataclysm, self-destruction and a desire of non-existence.

“Humanity is but a herd of ritualistic apes that congregate to 'ceremonialise' their own insignificance”.

Nekhrah are:

A. – Vocals, lyrics
C. – Guitars, lyrics
M. – Drums
T. – Bass
