'E.V.O' is also available through Pride & Joy Music (EU) and King Records (Japan). 'E.V.O' is the 5th studio album from Almah and was recorded in São Paulo, Brazil at IMF studios by Tito Falaschi plus mixed and mastered by Damien Rainaud (Fear Factory, Dragonforce, Babymetal, etc) at Mix Unlimited in Los Angeles, California. The release is a concept album based on the evolution of people’s mind and soul during the so-called 'Age Of Aquarius - the new era that the world is about to live. The author of the concept, Edu Falaschi, touches different subjects connected to the main idea, creating very positive lyrics for the album’s atmosphere. Musically 'E.V.O' brings a fresh and powerful sound with the typical modern and heavy Almah touch, but this time one will be able to realize that it also has a direct connection with the Angra’s “Rebirth” (the first Angra album with Edu Falaschi's voice). The compositions are a pleasant travel between contemporary rock, modern power and progressive metal. The vocal lines on 'E.V.O' are very powerful, classic and the vocals have a higher pitch compared to previous Almah’s records. It’s very melodic, clean and into the bel canto style. "Showcasing a new side of Amaranthe, the song combines an anthemic arena riff with an irresistibly groovy flow, creating maybe the most unique Amaranthe track yet! Describing the strife and hardships that follow with trying to pursue your dreams, 'That Song' embodies the turning point in your life when your direction becomes clear. So stomp your feet and clap your hands to 'That Song'!" Maximalism is the follow-up to 2014's breakthrough Massive Addictive. Refusing to be pinned down by genre or convention, Amaranthe have consistently pursued the less-travelled path, blending different sounds and styles to create a signature hybrid approach. Maximalism sees their collective wide-angle vision laid out with greater skill and conviction than ever before. Maiden manager Rod Smallwood explains, “We do not want our fans being ripped off either by counterfeit tickets or through costly mark-ups on so called secondary ticketing websites. These problems now affect the UK more than any other country outside of the U.S.A. We believe the most successful way to prevent this is by implementing Paperless ticketing. This proved highly successful in reducing piracy at our previous London shows in 2013 and on our North American tours since 2010. This is a simple procedure and goes a long way to minimising the resale of tickets and reducing fraud by requiring the original cardholder purchaser to be present at entry. We have been working with our UK promoter Live Nation and Ticketmaster to ensure that we can operate a Paperless ticketing system, in full or in part, at all the UK venues we’ll play in 2017. We are also instigating a number of additional measures which we believe will directly help our fans to access tickets in the fairest, safest way and at the intended price.” The actions being put in place for 2017 are:
Iron Maiden has long been active in combatting the abuse of secondary ticketing websites; specifically the individuals and businesses who use digital platforms to immediately snap up and re-sell tickets at vastly inflated prices, denying the genuine fan a fair chance to purchase at face-value. The band supports The Fanfair Alliance http://fanfairalliance.org which unites music businesses, artists and fans against ticket touting and profiteering in the online secondary market. Nigel Adams MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Music and Member of Parliament for Selby and Ainsty adds, "I'm pleased that Iron Maiden are taking a principled position and standing up for music fans. I'd like to think the whole industry can learn from this initiative and use technology to put a stop to the industrial level of touting that has been a blight on the live music industry for so long." Please note the FAQ which will hopefully go some way to answering any queries from our fans (http://ironmaiden.com/fan-club/tickets). Indian metal veterans Demonic Resurrection have announced the release of their fifth full length studio album and launched a pledge music campaign in support of the release. The band have announced no details for the record except a tentative release date in Feb 2017. Demonstealer commented:- "More than money being a motivation, for us the pledge campaign was launched to share this experience with our fans before anyone else. I believe the fan-artist relationship is closer than ever and platforms like pledge music bypass the social media giants like Facebook and Twitter and let you interact with fans 1 on 1. So for us this campaign is about sharing the album name, tracklist, artwork, songs etc with the fans before anyone else. So we're really excited to embark on this journey. At this point we don't have any release details for how the album is released after the campaign but we are in talks with some labels, so fingers crossed." The band's last album 'The Demon King' was released on Candlelight Records. Demonic Resurrection Facebook Transcending Obscurity Official Site Transcending Obscurity Facebook France's Venefixion set the release date for new Iron Bonehead mini-album, reveal first track21/9/2016 Iron Bonehead Productions have set December 9th as the international release date for Venefixion's highly anticipated new mini-album, Armorican Deathrites. A mere year ago, Iron Bonehead introduced these French death metal upstarts with their Defixio demo. One of the most electric bands the label's come across in recent times, Venefixion are heaving and hulking, monstrous and miasmatic, barbaric and blackened, but all bristling with an elusive X-factor: not surprisingly, Defixio goes on to be a widely celebrated demo in the underground and above. Alas, time has come for the quartet's next strike, and it bears the title Armorican Deathrites. Set to be released on 12" vinyl and with the CD version adding Defixio as a bonus, Armorican Deathrites sees Venefixion in full blossom. Still deadly committed to the Metal of Death, the Venefixion we witness across the four tracks comprising these Armorican Deathrites is an even more rabid and red-eyed beast, fiercer and more feral, and yet already exhibiting a confidence and finesse - dare we say "maturity"? - well beyond their rather young years. From the very first few seconds, Armorican Deathrites explodes with an excitement that's tantamount to a pestilent fury; from there, it mangles the mind and body with a malevolence that's absolutely addicting. For Venefixion, for all their forward-moving mass, are songwriters above all, and their songwriting strengths have been up-ratcheted here, twisting terms like "traditional" death metal beyond the pejorative sense of "retro" and into a realm of timelessness, where the early, pioneering works of Morbid Angel, Repulsion, and Autopsy lay. It's an exceedingly fresh stench of DEATH, and it penetrates the nostrils and rots the brain...and all you can do is submit to the purulent possession of Venefixion's Armorican Deathrites. Take the first step toward submission ?????????? www.facebook.com/Venefixion-872776712799238 www.ironbonehead.de www.facebook.com/IronBoneheadProductions French death metal obscurantists Aum stream the entirety of highly anticipated debut album, Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum - now set for international release on September 23rd via Iron Bonehead Productions - at Decibel magazine's website. Hear Aum's debut album in its entirety HERE. Not to be confused with the black metal band hailing from Hong Kong, Aum are obscurity incarnate - not only for the secrecy surrounding this new entity, but more so sonically. Although spiritually inclined toward the black arts, France's Aum carry forward that blackened base into crushingly heavy and tortuously twisted death metal. Exploding forth with a guts-fucking guitar tone and propulsive 'n' powerful drumming, Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum takes seven separate paths toward the ultimate end: an impermanent manifestation of life and death cycles through oriental philosophies and religions. Utilizing death metal that is simultaneously crude and complicated, primitive and elevated, the seven-song screed becomes an inner travel to find reality as it is, to find the law of nature, to understand the whole life, to experiment death and birth through our own dissolution. It is at once alien and familiar, engrossing and challenging, confrontational and fleeting; it is an experience that exists on both physical and astral planes. When both "cavernous death metal" and the fifth generational retread of Swedeath have equally worn out their welcome, it is to bands like Aum to revitalize the purity of Total Death with records like Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum: submerge, and emerge. An early preview of the video, posted exclusively to the band's Facebook page, has already amassed nearly 5,000 views. “Heal Me” serves as the first glimpse of their upcoming LP, recently announced to be coming late this year. The track made an surprise early debut on internet radio stations around the country last month, quickly gaining the attention of both long-term fans and new. "Heal Me" is somewhat of a departure from the band's existing discography, whose most recent offering "Into The Storm" contained songs written over the course of over 5 years. When asked about the significance of the new single, bassist John Partipilo said:- "Heal Me is a departure from anything Ditchwater has done in the past. The track is a tease as to what's to come from us." The writing process has shown no signs of slowing Ditchwater down, however, as the band recently finished a string of dates with the North Carolina's rapidly growing rock act Another Lost Year, as well as an appearance on the 6th annual Illinois music festival The Revival, which features a powerhouse line-up of some of the hottest up-and-coming acts in the Midwest. https://www.facebook.com/ditchwater1/ https://www.facebook.com/fullsiege/ Old school Finnish thrashers Bloodride is releasing their third album titled Planet Alcatraz through Inverse Records on 25th November. On this album anger and frustration has risen to new level which can be seen on lyrical themes. Stupidity and selfishness of mankind gets loads of verbal hits this time. Musically these assaults are also very hard, brutal but sometimes even catchy. Album was recorded during at Peter´s Cross Studios between December 2015-May 2016 by Petteri Lammassaari and was mixed and mastered by Jarno Hänninen at D-Studio.
