Formed in 2016 and featuring members from the brutal gore band Bowel Stew, Cruentator was born with the intention of creating the most punishing kind of thrash metal. After a couple of shows opening for the legendary Necrodeath, the band entered Toxic Basement Studios in early 2017 to record Ain't War Hell?, containing eights songs of a merciless brand of thrash metal influenced by acts like Demolition Hammer, Morbid Saint, Slaughter (Canada), Razor, Kreator, Sodom, Incubus, and Devastation. The cover art for Ain't War Hell? was done by artist Five Miligrams, responsible for the iconic artwork of such bands such as Morbid Saint and Massacre. Release date for Ain't War Hell? hasn't been set as of yet, but will happen in January 2018, so as soon as we are able to reveal cover artwork and the first advance single, an exact release date will be announced. In the meantime, don't hesitate to visit Cruentator's official site below. www.facebook.com/Cruentator www.xtreemmusic.com www.facebook.com/xtreemmusic666 www.xtreemmusic.bandcamp.com www.youtube.com/xtreemmusic www.twitter.com/xtreemmusic666 www.soundcloud.com/xtreemmusic MetalSucks is offering an exclusive early stream of "Early Cvlts," the title track to the second LP by Thessaloniki, Greece-based black metal trio, Natvre's, as the record nears release through Argento Records. Combining mid-tempo, over-saturated riffs with feral blast beats and lacerating vocals, Natvre's create a hateful maelstrom of terror and controlled chaos that is impossible to forget. The Hellenic commandos now offer the torrential maelstrom of their second proper full-length, Early Cvlts, the album showcasing the band's terrorizing yet supremely infectious '90s-inspired blackened arts through eight methodical songs recorded at Stelth Sound Studiosand completed with artwork by Luca Devinu. The band offers with the "Early Cvlts" advance stream, "This song is what Natvre's is all about. It's the song on the album that has the biggest punk influence and it's a sort of statement against the narcissism and pseudo avant-garde attitude that is quite popular in Black Metal today. It's a song about reality and self-liberation through following the path that leads to the depth." With their debut of the new song, MetalSucks issues, "their music fucking rips. Part second wave black metal and part ferocious punk and hardcore, their second full-length album, Early Cvlts, is wholly menacing and fierce... It's dramatic and cinematic, both highly focused and slightly off the rails. In short: it's black metal the way black metal should be." Hear "Early Cvlts" by Natvre's only through MetalSucks at THIS LOCATION. The previously-issued "Death Of The Earth" is also streaming at Cvlt Nation HERE. Argento Records will issue Natvre's Early Cvlts digitally and on black and limited coloured vinyl on October 27th; find pre-orders HERE. Natvre's is one of the most destructive black metal units to ever come out of Greece. Formed in 2014, the outfit has been seen supporting the likes of Destroyer 666 and Kawir in their native country. The trio self-released their debut album, Wrath, in 2015; the record immediately sold-out, and was reissued in 2016 through Argento Records as the band was forging new material for its follow-up. Stand by for additional audio samples and other band news to be issued in the bleak weeks ahead. https://natvresbm.bandcamp.com https://www.facebook.com/natvres https://twitter.com/natvres_band http://www.argentorecords.com https://www.facebook.com/argentorecords https://twitter.com/argentorecords https://argentorecords.bandcamp.com https://soundcloud.com/argento-records Timezapped neuropunks Expander stream the entirety of their highly anticipated debut album, Endless Computer, at Decibel magazine's website. Now set for international release on October 15th via Nuclear War Now! Productions, hear Expander's Endless Computer in its entirety exclusively HERE. Although black and death varieties of metal have largely thrived in the modern era, it has been conspicuously more difficult over the past decade or more to find a thrash band that both follows in the strong traditions of its forefathers and at the same time pushes beyond established boundaries to develop a sound that is unique unto itself, rather than being a stale form of mimicry of the subgenre’s heyday. Hailing from Austin, Texas, and to this point having released two EPs, Expander has broken the mould and developed its own niche through a novel concoction and recombination of musical and thematic elements that broadly span the genres of metal and punk. Expander’s music, lyrical themes, and chosen artwork are decidedly futuristic without being gratuitously experimental. The most appropriate point of reference that one might choose in drawing a direct comparison would be to Killing Technology-era Voivod. Expander, however, is noticeably more aggressive than its Canadian predecessor in its approach and delivery, which is clearly demonstrated on Endless Computer. The concept behind the album is that of a shapeless cosmic entity which represents the pinnacle of technological advancement and seeks autonomous control over all atomic matter in the universe. This vision is musically reflected in the myriad of often times unconventional riffs and progressions that manage to tunnel their way into the inner-consciousness of the listener and subvert independent cognition, much in the same way that a digital virus infects and takes control first of a single machine and then progressively engulfs entire networks of them. Not to be underestimated with respect to its overall impact on this album is the level of mindfulness to all aspects of production on this recording. Whereas a great deal of metal, particularly that of the black/death variety, runs a high risk of overproduction, thrash metal with a futuristic focus, such as this, benefits immensely from a healthy degree of attention to clarity and precision, which is proven in this case. Also a product of the band’s diligence in capturing the best-possible recording was its decision to faithfully reproduce its live sound to the greatest extent possible. To this end, the band transported its entire backline from its home base in the heart of Texas to faraway GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts, rather than rely on the house equipment to only approximate the desired outcome. The final nod to detail is the perfectly representative cover artwork by Luca Carey, with whom the band worked very closely to ensure that the artwork reflected the lyrical themes of the music as accurately as possible. Given the blistering pace at which humankind increasingly finds itself entangled in the web of its own creations, Endless Computer may indeed serve as a harbinger of the fate that we have sealed for ourselves. Face that fate in its entirety exclusively HERE, as well as read an outer communique with the band, all courtesy of Decibel, North America's only monthly metal magazine. Latin American death metal act, Corpse Garden, will be releasing their third album IAO 269 in November 2017 via Godz ov War Productions on CD, vinyl, cassette and digitally. A new track "Selenomantic Ecstasies" is streaming via the SoundCloud player below. Stream new track "Selenomantic Ecstasies" now: https://soundcloud.com/godzovwar/corpse-garden-selenomantic-ecstasies IAO 269 follows up conceptually on the previous album, Entheogen (2015), and takes the band into a brand new and bolder, experimental – and even trance-like - direction. Guitarist Federico Gutiérrez comments on what influenced this direction: "Music is always a response from whatever we are feeling at the moment of its creation. It is an extension of our feelings and emotions". The album was heavily influenced by the music the band members were listening to during the creation process of the album: krautrock, 70s and 80s post-punk and ambient music among others. The concept of IAO 269 continues from Entheogen. Federico comments: "when we were crafting the music, it became more obvious that the concept of the album would be a continuation of the concept on Entheogen: It's the harness of knowledge through the occult and realising its power and the abilities it descends upon one's hands". IAO 269 was produced by Colin Marston and Corpse Garden. Recorded, mixed and mastered in January 2017 by Colin Marston at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves Studio, Queens, New York. Hailing from Costa Rica, Corpse Garden were formed in 2009. Their discography includes three full-length albums: Burnt by the Light (2012), Entheogen (2015) and IAO 269 (2017). The Central American act have successfully toured various regions, including Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and even performed a show at the legendary Wacken Open Air in 2012. Corpse Garden are one of the leading extreme metal acts in Central America, having opened for major acts such as Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Malevolent Creation, Disgorge, Gorguts and Cattle Decapitation. Corpse Garden are: Felipe Tencio - Lead vocals, synths, noise manipulation Carlos Venegas - Fretless bass, aural manipulations, Icaros Esteben Sancho - Strings, vocal emanations Federico Gutiérrez - Strings aggression, drilling maelstrom, psychoactive soundscapes Erick Mejia Arguedas - Drums, visions, spells from the void Corpse Garden online: Bandcamp YouTube Godz ov War Productions online: Website Bandcamp Soundcloud YouTube Shadow Kingdom Records has set November 24th as the international release date for Lucifer's Hammer's brand new mini-album, Victory is Mine, on CD and cassette tape formats. The 12" vinyl version shall be released later, on December 29th. Aptly titled, Victory is Mine follows soon after the widespread critical acclaim afforded last year's Beyond the Omens debut full-length, further proving that this Chilean heavy metal force simply cannot be stopped! But here, on Victory is Mine, Lucifer's Hammer show more sides to their enviable arsenal and go down a darker path. Where Beyond the Omens burst forth with a brightness that could've come from radio metal circa 1984, Victory is Mine explodes with an immediacy that's moodier and more epic. Still well within the realm of classic, post-NWOBHM heavy metal, here Lucifer's Hammer deliver four winding epics that alternately pulse with steely passion and drift like lingering fog. Whereas Beyond the Omens could very well be their "party" record, Victory is Mine is more like the party's aftermath - and Lucifer's Hammer is guiding the revellers to the grave. But despite a subtly pronounced profusion of doom, Victory is Mine nevertheless retains the addicting energy for which the band became so beloved on their demo and debut album. For heavy metal is an eternal fight, and Victory is Mine! Begin that eternal fight with the new track "The Valley of the Shadow of Death / Justice Denied" HERE at Shadow Kingdom's Bandcamp, where all three formats of the EP can be pre-ordered. Icelandic band Legend will release their sophomore album "Midnight Champion" on October 13, 2017 via Artoffact Records! Pre-orders are available now at iTunes, where you get the track 'Captive' and 'Frostbite' as an instant grat song, and Bandcamp. Today the band has released the second single from the album entitled 'Frostbite'. Check out the exclusive premiere HERE courtesy of Sonic Seducer Listen to the song 'Captive' HERE! The new record takes off from where the dark synth stylings of Fearless left off, with each song taking the listener into a seemingly different universe from the song before it. From moody, introspective (post)-rock, to dancefloor-worthy hits, to riffing metal-oriented tracks that show off Krummi's peerless voice, Midnight Champion is not simply a sequel to Fearless; it exceeds it in every way, making good on the promise that that first record was, as Krummi once said in an interview, "only the beginning." Midnight Champion features stunning art which was specially commissioned from Branca Studio (Danko Jones, Pentagram, Black Dahlia Murder, Swans) and was recorded in Iceland at Studio Neptunus and Unstudios. The album is available worldwide October 13, 2017 on Artoffact Records as a double vinyl pressed on special cream colour (black also available), as well as CD digipak and a special edition cassette.
