Brazilian Black Metal band Patria stream official music video for "Archetypes" at Black Metal Promotion. Track from the album Hexerei. Released by Ketzer Records (Europe), Dawnrazor Records (South America) and Helvete Records (Mexico) on July 15th, 2022.
“Archetypes” has the lyrics inspired by the book Enuma Elish, which is the oldest written myth about the gods creation, under the Babylonians cosmological view. The myth depicts Tiamat in the form of a giant serpent, while Marduk, with his vast arsenal, faces several battles to defeat her. After his victory, Marduk becomes the leader of the gods by acclamation and he divides Tiamat's corpse into two parts, the upper half becoming heaven and the lower half becoming earth. Then he creates humanity with his blood and bones. Enuma Elish, known as the seven tablets of creation, is considered by scholars to be the primary source material for the book of Genesis. When the seven tablets were discovered, evidence indicated that they had been used in a "ritual", meaning that it was recited during a ceremony. In the video we try to illustrate this story in a broader and more subjective way, also bringing out a kind of socio-political criticism, showing that those ancient thoughts and myths can still find an echo in real life, today, and in different ways. The music video is a production of Head Label Audiovisual, an agency led by Walter de Andrade, who was responsible for the camera, direction and post-production. We had the actor Valber Rodrigues performing with a fantastic characterization, with the help of the makeup artist Wanessa Brazil and the costumes by Leo Zincone. The work was excellent!

Meshing technical and brutal elements with meticulously crafted riffs into a violent cacophony of modern death metal, you can watch the video below.
Omophagia's name relates to the consumption of raw flesh, so it's no surprise that the death metal horde tear through skin and bone with razor sharp precision. Following on from their 2019 Unique Leader release 646965, Rebirth In Black is the latest soul crushing offering from the Swiss-Brazillian death metallers. The eleven track album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Kohlenkeller Studio (Aborted, Benighted, Cytotoxin) with accompanying album artwork created by Stefan Skjoedt. Forming in 2006, Omophagia hail from Switzerland and comprise of a world class group of Swiss and Brazilian musicians. Their first demo, Devouring Raw Flesh (2008) reaped the critical acclaim of the extreme metal underground and led to various live club shows, as well as festival spots nationwide and abroad opening for the likes of Morbid Angel, Kataklysm and Keep Of Kalessin. At the close of 2009, Omophagia recorded their Guilt By Nescience (2010) debut. Mixed and mastered at Hertz Studio in Poland, the record earned the approval of Metal Hammer Magazine who awarded the offering “Demo Of the Month” status hailing, “brutal blasting drums meets massive, buzzing riffs, framed by soulful leads, rounded off by classic deep-growled vocals. Rhythmical variability and a well-balanced sound make Guilt By Nescience a record for friends of brutal sounds on a technical high level.” Their sickeningly ferocious follow-up album In The Name of Chaos (2016) then saw the band go out on tour alongside Morgoth and Incantation. In 2019 Omophagia released 646965 to critical acclaim worldwide. Since then the international five-piece have staked a pretty brutal claim within the world of extreme metal, renowned for their breakneck speed, ruthless extremity and intensity, having toured with the likes of Nile, Hate Eternal and Vitriol. The goth-tinged doom rockers share new single 'Murderer', taken from their upcoming album "Sticka En Kniv I Världen" due 9th December. The album's title, Sticka En Kniv I Världen, literally means to “stick a knife into the world”, and is a ravishing, cut-throat statement of Shaam Larein's heavy intent that casts a new shadow of stunning darkness. Formed in 2018, Shaam Larein released their debut album Sculpture in 2020 to raptured underground praise, earning them an instant booking to the prestigious Roskilde Festival and planting them on the radar of cult artists such as Chelsea Wolfe. Now signed to Finland’s Svart Records, Shaam Larein is soon to be hot on the tongues of the cult grapevine. Named after their auteur-like visionary singer Shaam Lerein, who was brought up on Russian classical art and the cinema of Tarkovsky, composes and visualises their dark materials, cementing Sticka En Kniv I Världen as an utterly unique take on bat-winged heavy rock. Shaam's background in the theatrical arts and her Syrian roots shine through in the dramatic structures and middle eastern scales her melodies incorporate, all driven by a powerful female voice that commands and charms in deadly measure. Conducting her band of Swedish vamps like a montage of Siouxsie Sioux and Lisa Gerard meeting in a Murnau horror, Shaam Larein casts a spell both occult and hypnotic. Carrying a haulage of blackened heavy metal doom in it’s gothic post-punk drive, Sticka En Kniv I Världen does what it says on the tin, providing a stab of something unearthly but also hyper-real with songs like 'I Have No Face' as a stark eye-meeting stare of emotion. With a devout appreciation of the mystic powers inherent in heavy music, Shaam Larein will ignite memories of Swedish metal artists such as In Solitude, who swayed towards the eclectic and gothic atmospheres Shaam's music touches on in their later days. With artist friends from back home in Uppsala, Pelle Åhman making the album cover and his brother Gottfrid Åhman, both of In Solitude fame, making four videos for Shaam Larein, the links weave closer, but it is to artists like Chelsea Wolfe, Ruth Rundle and Marissa Nadler that you can imagine fans drawing parallels and opening their heart to the enigmatic sound of Sticka En Kniv I Världen. Shaam describes her music as “a touch of aggression mixed with passion”, and Sticka En Kniv I Världen for her is about finding the light through a sea of darkness, “accepting the melancholy and seeing the beauty of what lies underneath our mysterious sound”. For a world of heavy rock hungry for a new wave of something dark and mysterious, Shaam Larein has it all in unparalleled dosage, just waiting to be discovered. The album is a perfect blend of of crossover thrash and traditional heavy metal that represents the band's refined vision. "Plea to the Heavens," the album's first single, is streaming now at:
A Fate Unbroken is a nine-track album that takes the influence of the widest range of heavy metal, 80s-toned thrash, death thrash, and hardcore that the decisive genres have to offer. Not only do the riffs, consistent guitar solos, and blackened vocals take the listener through a whirlwind of Slayer / Demolition Hammer era thrash metal, but the lyricism and quintessential raw fantasy style of their art and themes harken back to a Frank Frazetta / Ralph Bakshi age of pure Sword & Sorcery. A Fate Unbroken, for all intents and purposes, is a Maryland band’s attempt to bring a reunion of heavy metal and hardcore punk back to its raw, old-school roots. Basing their lyricism and overall theme around the original fantasy realm of Tythorin, Ninth Realm delivers an electrifying synthesis of traditional heavy metal and hardcore punk for fans of both respective genres to enjoy. Pulling from a range of influences that span everything between blackened thrash to old-school death metal, the music of Ninth Realm rips and tears with a ferocity and cadence that perfectly encapsulates the epic scale and grisly atmosphere of grim-dark fantasy. Between the use of aggressive thrash d-beat and viscerally direct song structure of classic metal acts such as Celtic Frost, combined with the melodic riffage of classic bands like Testament / Mercyful Fate, and an added twist of Cro-Mags / Leeway style crossover, Ninth Realm wields what is perhaps one of the most poignant new sounds to emerge from the metal underground in recent memory. Sharing a bon d for all things heavy metal and high fantasy, college classmates Joey Burke (drummer) and Liam McMahon (lead guitarist) joined forces in the fall of 2018, writing and practicing every week to produce the 2019 demo, Gates of Tythorin. Later adding Jared Henry (bassist) and Ben Hageage (vocalist) to the mix, Ninth Realm solidified their sound with their succeeding 2020 EP, All Hail Treachery. In 2022, to offer a glimpse at what is to come with their debut LP, Ninth Realm released Ondreis MMXXII, a promo tape featuring two songs that both share a track space on the debut full-length record.
Nameless Theory are tremendously happy and proud to announce that they are signing with Wormholedeath Records for the reissue of their debut album “Into the Void”, due for re-release on October 21st, 2022. The band states:- "For a couple of months now we’ve been talking to Carlo and his team at Wormholedeath and the feedback and working relation has been absolutely great, above all of our expectations! For us, it is an opportunity of a lifetime and one which we will not take for granted and work our butts off to make it work. Opportunities like these don’t come around often so we are grateful for the trust and we are sure that this is the start of a great relationship. "Into the Void" was composed between 2013 and 2018. In 2018 we entered the studio to start recording it. The recording process took around one year to be concluded. As for its concept, Into The Void is a dark album as it deals with anxiety, depression, existentialism, and a lot of everyday struggles and events that we have collectively gotten through the years. For this reason, Into the Void is a very personal album and one that we are very proud to have it as our debut. The music was written by all the band members and because of that it mixes a lot of genres and influences, you’ll hear a lot of Iron Maiden vocal lines and guitar melodies, while the guitar and bass riffs may come from bands such as Deftones, Korn but also metalcore acts such as As I lay Dying, which is also a big influence on the drumming in pair with for example Lamb of God. All of this while trying to blink an eye at some prog metal landscapes in terms of song structure and dynamics." Nameless Theory is a metal band from Pinhal Novo, Portugal formed by Pedro Piedade on lead vocals, Márcio Júnior on bass guitar, André Marques on lead guitar, and Igor Pedroso on drums. Their objective is to bring together both the band and the audience in an engaging environment full of energy and emotion. The band was formed in January 2013 and on April 25th, 2013 the band released their first EP "2013" and spent the following months promoting this work. As the band performed and rehearsed, they matured and changed their musical direction and approach. Bearing this in mind, the band decided to record a second EP called "Ghosts". The EP was recorded in May / June 2015 at "Le Baron Rouge Studios" in Nirvana Studios by producer Tiago Borges (The Royal Blasphemy) and released on October 17th, 2015. In September 2018 the band entered Ultrasound Studios in Moita to start recording their first album, which ended up being titled “Into the Void”. Produced by Igor Azougado (Shivers) this work presents itself as a solid summary of the band's years as musicians and people. The album was released independently on February 8, 2020, followed by 4 promotion concerts until an abrupt halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2022 the band signed with the label Wormholedeath to the rerelease of “Into The Void”, an amazing opportunity and partnership that for sure will help Nameless Theory step up their game. With concerts played all over Portugal in great venues such as "Paradise Garage", "Stairway Club", "Popular Alvalade", "Festival Bardoada, and AJCOI" as well as being the opening act for the bands "Ash Is a Robot" and " O Bisonte", Nameless Theory wants to be one of the next great metal bands to come out of Portugal! Iraqi thrash metallers Dark Phantom unveil their new single and lyric video "Courtship Of Death". Dark Phantom’s idea began in Kirkuk, Iraq late in 2007. The impression was to reach their dreams in western music, to express the inferior circumstances in the city, and explain it to the universe. But things weren’t able to progress due to the bad situation in Iraq, that led to postponement of forward progress and a period of hibernation, for their safety. In 2008, the band was able to start up again and started rehearsal despite all the dangers. In 2009, the band managed to have a birth of their own music, by starting to write the first songs after many months in rehearsal. In 2011, the band played their first concert in the city of Kirkuk and It was unforeseen. Under the same circumstances (volatile aggression, anti-metal music “laws”, etc.) a crowd came to see them and news of event rocked the small city. After a lot of demand from the fans on the band's Facebook page for a second concert, in 2011 Dark Phantom was ready, but there was another situation that made it impossible. Terror groups and their allies began threatening to close all the of band's pages on the internet and the band was also warned, again to stop their activities, or else. And in a short time, they made their 1st original Album “Nation of Dogs”, which in the band’s and their fan’s eye was a complete success. Now they release their new single titled “Courtship Of Death” https://www.facebook.com/metalbandIraq/ https://www.instagram.com/dark_phantom_band https://darkphantom.bandcamp.com/ https://www.youtube.com/user/666darkphantom666 After breaking the silence with their recently released standalone single “Reborn” alongside introducing a new line-up, German symphonic metal icons Xandira continue this next chapter, promising adventure with a brand new song, titled “You Will Never Be Our God”. The exciting, fresh offering features none other than Primal Fear frontman Ralf Scheepers, whose heavy voice scintillates along with the dynamic range of new Xandria vocalist Ambre Vourvahis. “You Will Never Be Our God” showcases its wide musical spectrum, opening with heavy riffs and haunting growls reminiscent of bands like Arch Enemy, but merge into a flawless symphonic style, carrying the renowned trademarks Xandira are loved for. Followed by modern and classic 80s-styled riffs, the band proves their musical versatility, showing that they do not comply with any rules, while incorporating death metal and operatic voices - reaching effortlessly across genres. This massive new track comes right as Xandria readies to embark on a top-notch co-headline tour throughout Europe with labelmates Visions Of Atlantis, plus Ye Banished Privateers rounding out this exciting package. This song alone features elements from different metal genres, classic and modern, and melts them into something new that shows how well and fresh it can come together. But, at the same time, it reflects everything that Xandria stands for, including bombastic film score orchestrations and big choirs!” Xandria is:
Crooked Royals, the Kiwi metalcore band who recently signed to 3DOT Recordings and will release their debut album, Quarter Life Daydream on Oct. 21, have released a new song, and video, from the forthcoming collection: “Ill Manor” (https://lnk.to/illmanor). Watch the single here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWGlSbxm1RI The band, collectively, explained the theme behind the track: “We’ve all believed during our formative years that adults know what they are doing, especially the ones that are closest to us and care for us. But those adults who care, are wrong, and what they view as ‘caring’ is manipulative and toxic, a product from someone who cared for them when they were in their formative years. ‘Ill Manor’ is a play on words about growing up in a house with lessons that make your brain sick, and how you become more shut off because of it.” Recorded and mixed by Zorran Mendonsa (Coridian), Quarter Life Daydream follows the release of two EPs: Intertwine (2018) and Rumination (2019) and a pandemic-era single: “Copacetic.” The standalone single racked up half-a-million streams.
