Australian female fronted symphonic / cinematic metal band Darkyra signed deal with Sliptrick records!
"It's always hard to take that first step of signing with a label, uncertain at times if you're making the right decision but at some point you have to stop saying no and take a risk. So here we go. We've just signed with Sliptrick records. They'll be re releasing Fool and we'll see how we go with them from there."
Darkyra is a five piece Symphonic Hard Rock band based in Perth Western Australia.
It’s members consist of Gina Bafile – vocals, Dave Lyon – Guitar, Kim Siragusa –
Keyboard, Dan Grainger – drums and Maciek Mastalarczuk – bass.
After the successful release and rave reviews of two high production studio albums (a solo project of Gina Bafile under the name Darkyra Black), Darkyra Black was thrown into the spotlight as a strong emerging artist within the world of female fronted metal and rock, fuelling the desire of talented singer Gina to take the music on the road.
In 2015 the focus was to project the brand as a complete band which led to the recent name adjustment from ‘Darkyra Black’ to ‘Darkyra’, and with the new found Australian members the transition from solo artist to a working band was complete.
Keeping within the traditional Darkyra Black style, the relatively young band begin their creative journey together. With a new album concept on the horizon, their very first collaboration, ‘Against all Odds’ is now taking shape.
Italian Metalcore quintet The End At The Beginning are proud to release their newest full length, "Revelations" officially out today. Furthermore, the quintet is also streaming it online, you can catch it here.
The stream follows two previous singles, "Souleater" and "Dissipate", and includes Jei from Despite Exile as guest on one of their tracks. The album, mixed and mastered at Wavemotion Recordings in Italy, is bound to catch the listener, with powerful vocals, moving cleans, and top notch instrumentation, that pair up perfectly with the lyrics and motives behind the full length.
For anyone that's not already familiar with the Italian powerhouse, The End At The Beginning had previously won the Unsigned Artist Of The Month contest in April 2015 held by Artery Recordings, and they're now ready to kick it up a notch and captivate new fans with their latest effort.
When asked, Lorenzo -clean vocals, guitar- had this to say about the album: "It's a very important step for the band, as friends, as men and as humans. This album reflects what we've gone through together, in a world where it's so difficult to live in. We never wrote something heavier, deeper and more true, always facing life and the human condition with a positive attitude, despite everyday difficulties and suffering, and we could never be more proud of it".
Straight from the most artistically prolific city in Italy, Bologna, The End At The Beginning began drawing attention upon their formation in early 2012. Their fan-base grew incessantly across the country, while their music style quickly and progressively matured until the release of their first full length Appearances in 2014. Mastering a quite complex composition of riffs and drum patterns, the quintet stuns the audience with fierce moshing energy, paired with a tight grasp on precise instrumental performance on the stage.
Thanks to the energy and passion they put into their live performances and their humble yet enthusiastic attitude, they were able to share the stage with bands such as Being As An Ocean, Betraying The Martyrs, Counterparts, Burning Down Alaska, Hundredth, Hopes Die Last, and many more.
The band started gaining international attention when they won the "Unsigned Artist Of The Month" competition held by Artery Recordings in April 2015, and by playing shows outside of their home country. These achievements boosted the band's popularity and kindled their fanbase growth, which continues to spread even outside Europe's borders.
In their new album "Revelations", the band pushes the boundaries of modern metal sound incorporating strong melodic elements with a particular attention to detail in the arrangements and vocal production. A tight composition and experimental sounds are partnered with massive breakdowns and meaningful lyrics, which represent the core of the band's signature style.

Warcrab have been making a name for themselves in the UK underground Metal scene since 2011. Hailing from the South West of England, the six piece have played the length and breadth of the country wowing audiences with their carefully crafted blend of Death, Sludge and Doom Metal.
The first release, a Self-titled EP, came in late 2012 and was very well received. Showcasing the bands heavy, sledgehammer approach to songwriting Warcrab followed this release with a number of successful UK shows throughout 2013.
The band began 2014 with a string of dates across the UK with London-based doomsters Diesel King, this provided great exposure for some of their crushing and dynamic new material from their eagerly awaited second EP Ashes of Carnage. This was premiered and the EP released when the band played to a huge audience on the New Blood stage at Bloodstock 2014 which was swiftly followed by a UK tour with Brazilian death mongers Krow. This second offering was a step up for the band as they strived to hone their sound and enhance what they had previously written. With a strong theme of warfare, conflict and the agonies that ensue they aimed to portray this both lyrically and musically in songs such as “In this Iron Tomb”, "Lay all to Waste” and “Entombed in Flames”.
Limited numbers of Ashes of Carnage were released on When Planets Collide label and then re-released in 2015 with additional bonus tracks on Contagion Records giving the band a much larger audience in Europe and beyond. It was promoted through numerous shows across the UK which saw Warcrab sharing the stage with artists such as Vader, Conan, Incantation, Desecration, Sonance and Warlord UK (on the WARTOUR 2015). The band accompanied this series of shows with the premier of their first official video. The video for “Lay all to Waste”, from the aforementioned Ep, was shot at a number of live performances and showcases the band doing what they do best as the title would suggest.
In late 2015 the band entered Skyhammer Studios, with Chris Fielding (Conan) at the desk to embark on recording the third release Scars of Aeons. 2016 looks to be very promising for Warcrab with the release of this monster through Black Bow Records' and further live offerings at upcoming UK metal festivals such as Thashersaurus and Incineration fest. This will no doubt be an opportunity for them to pummel their audience into ear bleeding submission.
Finnish female fronted metal group, Evil Drive, have released a video for the new single of their, still untitled upcoming, second album to be released via Mighty Music worldwide on early 2017.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at Äänilaitos studio in Kotka with Juuso Elminen (Domination Black) "Anti-Genocide" presents Evil Drive's melodic metal reinforced by Viktoria Viren's over-the-top growling with one of the tightest guitar sections in the scene. The video was shot and filmed by the bands long time trusted friend Tino-Viljami Vanhala. Viktoria Viren comments: "Anti-Genocide has a totally different theme and feeling compared to our debut album 'The Land Of The Dead, which was all about the current world politics and war".
The new track is about the history of the American Indians and about the fate they had to suffer when the "white men came and took over their land". "Anti-Genocide" also presents the bands updated line-up which now features guitarist Juha-Pekka "J-P" Pusa who recently replaced the band's original guitarist Niko Huusari.
Ville Wiren comments:
"The new line-up makes the band sound better than ever. J-P definitely brings us a lot of new energy and ideas and helps the band to find a completely new level. We've finally found ourselves, our musical style and finally have access to all the musical tools we've ever wanted: strong growling vocals, two great guitarists, and a great rhythm section. We trust that our upcoming album will be a turning point for Evil Drive, and we are excited to be with Mighty Music for this new chapter".

Dark Essence Records have announced the details of the new album from veteran Norwegian Black Metallers Sarkom, which is set to hit the streets on the 2nd December.
Titled "Anti-Cosmic Art" the seven-track album was originally intended to mark the band's tenth anniversary, but was delayed due to a combination of personal and technical difficulties that often beset bands and skew carefully laid release plans. Which, as it happens, worked out for the best, because it gave the band time to rethink, and produce an album that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Sarkom is a long way from being a "one trick pony", as is often the case on the Black Metal scene.
To mark the release of "Anti-Cosmic Art" Sarkom will play the following two Norwegian dates:
03 Dec: Good Omens, Trondheim
17 Dec: Revolver, Oslo
More information about Sarkom can be found on the band’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/sarkom
