Croatian mavericks of the trance-like black craft are back with the reminder of what have become the cornerstone of their discography and easily one of the most unique extreme releases of the 2010s. Watch out for the re-release of their seminal second album on Arachnophobia Records.
With two EP releases, and three full-length albums that wiped the boundaries of the black metal genre and brought the band to a firm and clear position at the crossroads of avant-garde, psychedelia, primitive trance-inducing blackness, and a modern approach devoid of limitations under their belts, Pogavranjen, Croatia’s by far most prominent black metal band, are about to remind their audience about their second titanic escapade.
On “Sebi Jesi Meni Nisi”, the trademark sound of the band evolved into something truly terrifying. Its re-release will see the light of day and dead of night this fall.
Veterans of Croatian extreme music use primordial negativity and blackness of bleak modern existence to painfully stomp a 42 minute long march through wastelands of rancid psyche fuelled by complete lack of hope. Through disgust and bewildering bestiality, Pogavranjen present the dawn of a new era of originality by painting the blackest of landscapes.
While being endlessly negative, ugly and malevolent, “Sebi Jesi Meni Nisi” strikes with its progressive and meditative elements. It is an album which emanates a macabre deathly glow, as well as ambitious freshness. Its visionary construction and virtuoso musicianship echo through the avant-garde black metal underground.
Italian Symphonic metallers Elegy Of Madness will remain a part of the Wormholedeath family. They have, in fact, signed a new licensing deal with the label and are ready to enter RealSound Studio (Parma) during August 2016 to record their Third album titled "New Era". It is already decided, thanks to a new sound direction (created by the band with the new members and near to Wormholedeath's sound imprint Opera Core), that Chris Donaldson will mix and master the album.
The band stated:
"We are proud to announce, throughout 10 years of continued work, the renewal of the publishing and recording contract with WormHoleDeath Records. This choice is based on the reciprocal respect and trust which has been reinforced, more and more, during these years of partnership. This label, represented by its founder Carlo Bellotti, has traced the rut of our musical and professional growth and has given us the freedom in songwriting while enhancing our potential through many prestigious Live Concerts such as “Exit Festival” (Serbia) and various Opening Acts. Together with Carlo, we have decided to celebrate our 10th year of activity in the best possible way: we are going to work on the third album titled "New Era"!!! This new album is the result of an intensive creative work, sound research and songwriting based on a futuristic themes which are being mixed together with our Symphonic Metal roots and electronics to form a new and outstanding sound. The release date and our tour are already scheduled for the beginning of 2017. We can’t wait to share this wonderful news with our fans as a result of a great and satisfying work."

New record label By Norse Music started up by Einar Selvik (Wardruna), Ivar Bjørnson (Enslaved) and Simon Fullemann (AISA)
It is with great pride and excitement that Einar, Ivar and Simon collectivity present their very own record label. Starting as an event project last year, launching our own beer ALU, we are finally ready to go official with part 3 - our own record label. With our network, experience and dedication in the music world, it made sense to just do it all ourselves and put our knowledge in the same pot. So we created By Norse Music!
"Whether or not it is booking a concert or releasing an album, my experience with Wardruna is that since it does not really fit into any defined genre or «fixed machinery», but branch out into a multifold of them, it demands special attention and effort to meet its potential and needs. So for many years now my wish and vision has been to, at some point, create a label for my own as well as other carefully selected music and art that would be flexible and also resourceful enough be able to handle each unique project on it´s own premises and adapt to its needs rather than squeeze everything into the same machinery. The time has come for realization and I feel very exited about venturing into this together with dedicated people I hold in high esteem both personally and professionally"

Earache Records has teamed up with ADA / Warner in the USA for a new distribution and services deal, to make its iconic catalogue available again physically on CD and vinyl LP from May 5th.
Founded over 25 years ago in Nottingham, England, Earache launched the early extreme metal movement in the 1990s with bands such as Napalm Death, Morbid Angel, Godflesh, Sleep, Clutch and Carcass. Almost ten years ago, Earache released the USA debut of Bring Me The Horizon, a then-little-known UK band which has since gone on to great global success. Still founder-owned and operated, label head Digby Pearson was honoured with the AIM Pioneer Award 2015 for services to the independent sector.
Recently the label has been at the forefront of a re-energised blues rock movement, with bands such as Long Beach's Rival Sons - currently playing arenas supporting Black Sabbath - and The Temperance Movement - who completed a tour with The Rolling Stones last year - both charting Top 20 across the UK and Europe. Titles from both bands will be available for sale. Earache will issue Rival Sons' new album 'Hollow Bones' on June 10th exclusively through ADA / Warner, which will cement this exciting partnership.
Earache USA Label Manager Al Dawson comments:
"We at Earache are beyond excited to partner with ADA for the USA. This is a next level, game-changing step in the company's evolution within today's rapidly-changing music business. Our ADA team has so much talent it's awe-inspiring. Look forward to us building careers for many more new and mind-blowing artists."
Retailers should contact their ADA/Warner representative for more details.

Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger added:
"We at Nuclear Blast are super happy to extend the cooperation with our good friends in Dimmu Borgir! The future holds amazing opportunities and projects to be worked on together, the first being the eventual release of the long awaited ‘Forces Of The Northern Night’ live DVD! Keep your eyes peeled - darkness is upon us!"
Season of Mist and Rotting Christ both up for award contention at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2016 edition.
The Metal Hammer Golden Gods are back and bigger than ever, with more metal loaded than your daily iron intake, this year the awards are heading to the Hammersmith Apollo.
French label Season Of Mist are both extremely honoured to have been nominated for Best Independent Record Label again at this year's Metal Hammer Golden God Awards. #goldengods #metalhammersmith
CEO Michael Berberian not only sees this as an achievement for the label admitting that "there are years of hard work, dedication, and simply an extreme passion for exciting music involved in building this label to the point where we are at now", but going to explain that this is a childhood dream come true as "the real reason for me wanting this trophy is of course that I never won one as a kid."
In addition, one of their clientele has been nominated for the 'Best Underground Band' category.
Rotting Christ are understandably pleased with the news, what with more than 27 years of endless dedication and sacrifice for the metal underground, there can hardly be a better and more deserving than those hard working Greeks.

Swedish "adventure metallers" Twilight Force are proud to announce that they have joined forces with mighty metal powerhouse Nuclear Blast in the form of a record deal.
The foundation for what is now Twilight Force was laid out in 2011, with a quest to bring back the golden age of epic symphonic power metal. By combining strong melodies with orchestral arrangements and fast tempos, Twilight Force wanted to create an intense and memorable listening experience; immersing the audience in a magic universe filled with wonder, heroic tales and mesmerising mythical worlds. Using their vast experience from previous musical endeavours, their classical training and technical proficiency, they started working intensely and meticulously in their studio in the heart of Sweden, the Twilight Forge. The music took shape and grew from the depths of their hearts, and the basis of the songs swiftly came into existence. Hence, the first ever adventure metal album – ‘Tales Of Ancient Prophecies’ - saw the light of day in 2014. In the wake of their successful first release, and two glorious tours across Europe with Sonata Arctica and Gloryhammer, Twilight Force have returned to the Forge to craft their second opus. The conquest has merely begun...
The band commented:
"Sound the Horns of Triumph! It is with great exuberance that we can finally reveal that a legendary Scroll of Allegiance has been sealed. Twilight Force have entered into a pact with Nuclear Blast, and will henceforth stand proudly alongside venerable acts such as Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Sabaton and Blind Guardian. This wondrous covenant will unlock magic portals to kingdoms unknown, and help us guide humans and kindred spirits alike into our mystical glorious realm. So, now is the time to rejoice! The Knights of Twilight's Might shall rise!"
"We are currently working fervently and meticulously in the studio, the Twilight Forge, to complete the second opus of Twilight Force. We aim to create something that will take power metal to new heights - it will be a milestone for us and hopefully for the genre, and far exceed our debut album in both length and sound quality. Expect a fast-paced adventurous and bright listening experience, both through tonality, storytelling and even sound design. It will be a sparkling magical adventure filled with lore, virtuosity, memorable melodies and majestic soundscapes previously unheard-of in the genre. We are working to transcend our own sound from the first album, and develop it into something new and fresh, but still keep the essence of power metal intact. The currently untitled adventure metal album is scheduled for a September 2016 release on Nuclear Blast Records."
Nuclear Blast's Head of Promotion and A&R, Markus Wosgien, commented on the signing:
"It was love at first sight. Their debut album rotated endlessly and after I had the chance to convince myself from their live qualities on tour, the mission was sealed. Their symphonic, like an arrow and hyper-melodic power metal may polarise, but Twilight Force make matters satisfying, honestly and with loads of lifeblood. Everyone who likes the early Rhapsody records, who appreciates Stratovarius' classics and who counts Dragonforce as one of their favourites, will be enthusiastic about Twilight Force for sure. The point, that the band consist of really smart guys in addition, made it very easy for all of us to find common ground and to develop a clear vision. We're looking forward to a fertile cooperation and their upcoming album, its’ demos suggest something big."
